A bratty boy prince needs: a firm but fair Daddy.

Prince Renford is a royal brat. Nineteen and last in line for the throne, Wren hates his made-up job: Commander of Roses. Good thing his long-time valet has a firm hand—if only Wren could tempt him to break all palace protocol and use it.

Thom Pierce is sixteen years older. Old enough to know he should ignore his prince's les

100+ stars audio!!!!!! So in love with Kieran Flitton's distinctive voices!!!! If not for his stellar performance I would've DNF'd this disappointing story! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
2 stars story. I hate daddy/boy kink, spanking and long drawn out sex scenes.

I loved this last installment in the Rosavia Royals series. E. Davies is a go to author for me. I have loved almost everything I've read written by him and this one screamed of the authors best work.

I'm just sad it's over.

Full review to come when I'm feeling better.

Not bad.
The writing was easy to follow and the characters were likeable.

I guess you have to like this kind of kink, but it wasn't my thing.

Unfortunately, this book just wasn’t as good as the first book in the series. I just didn’t feel the connection between Thom and Wren that I did Leo and Edvin. It also lacked the charm of the first book. Then there was the Daddy/boy dynamic between the two MCs which just isn’t my thing. I ended up skipping large portions of the book. Overall, it was a bit of a disappointment.

Now that I’ve reached the final book of the series, I’m finding it hard to decide which has been my favorite. I must say though that Barely Regal does have an bit of an edge not just for the off-limits romance between the youngest prince, Wren, and his valet, Thom, not just for the age gap romance, and not just for the Daddy/boy relationship with a bit of kink thrown in. It’s for all of those aspects put together.

Both Wren and Thom have been attracted to each other for a while. Thom though is ve

Overall, the Rosavia Royals series hasn't been what I was hoping. Most of the books were too slow and uninteresting to get my attention. But, with this being an E Davies book, I was certainly hoping to fall in love with it. And fall in love, I did!

Barely Regal is a sweet age gap romance between Wren and his older valet, Tom. Their tale includes lots of flirting, tension, and want. And plenty of obstacles to overcome, including the forbidden romance issue.

This is a precious tale of two m

This has been quite a journey of love! What with five gorgeous, kindhearted, caring and “just-as-human-as-you-and-me” siblings trying to find their other halves while being in the center of it all. Being a Prince has its perks and also its disadvantages/inconveniences, if you may call it that! Being scrutinized for every action made is one of those inconveniences. Not being able to live freely is another big disadvantage.

Being the youngest in the brood of five, he is able to get away with a lot.

I really enjoyed this book! I love the two main characters and the world building. This is the second book I've read by E. Davies and I really liked his writing style, and there was some quotes that stuck with me.

The love story was amazing, slow burn without being too slow, and you could really see how much they cared for each other. The Daddy/Boy dynamic was really well written, but I would have liked it if he called him Daddy a bit more ;) Otherwise I don't really have any complaints. The char
4.5 stars! I think this is my favorite of this series! (Although, I do have two more to read). I just absolutely adored Wren and Thom and thought they were so perfect together. This story is a little more riskay than the others, there’s a large age gap (and Thom has taken care of Wren for a lot of his life), there’s some (in my opinion) light bdsm elements, and there’s daddy kink; and while some of these often don’t work for me, it just fit perfectly here. Since this was the last of the series, ...more

So, I'll admit that this is the 1st Rosavia Royal book that I wrote, because E. Davies is one of my favorite authors, and the Daddy/boy theme is so much fun to read. I know that each of these books can be read as a standalone, but now I want to get all the books and read about all the brothers and their true loves! Wren, excuse me Prince Renford, is such a brat, and he's almost perfect and I giggled a lot while reading about his antics. I figured that it would take a special Daddy such as Thom t ...more

I love a valet/master story and this one is a great example. There is an age gap as Wren is the youngest of the princes and Thom is in his mid 30s. The change in their relationship is well dealt with as Thom has been Wren's valet for many years.
Thom is a dom who recognises the submissive nature developing in Wren. There is a smidgen of daddy kink but it wasn't overdone to the point of made me uncomfortable.
This is the only book I've read in the series and it did not have an impact.

Barely Regal by E. Davies is the fifth book in the Rosavia Royals Series. Each book is written by a different author.

This was my first by this author and I really loved it. I loved prince Renford and his Daddy, Thom. I absolutely love a good Daddy/boy story and this one was done sooo good. Wren and Thom were so good together! I loved this book.

From the same authors that brought us the wonderful series, Men of Hidden Creek, we get a wonderful group of new men in a fun, unique setting! First things first, I absolutely LOVE how reach book is tied to each other in little ways, really making this series one that can be read in any order, depending on your mood! I absolutely love Ed's writing and this book is a perfect example why! The age-gap, Daddy/Boy BDSM romance is a perfect way to round out the different brothers and the men the come ...more

I didn't feel a lot of chemistry or romance with this Daddy/boy, May/December offering from E. Davies. The author chose to spend a lot of time justifying the relationship instead of presenting it. Almost all of the relationship development was skimmed over or recapped in telling fashion instead of being shown on page. The first 50% was promising, but it never really went anywhere interesting because of the author's choice to justify the relationship throughout the whole book. I can understand wh ...more

I have to tell you, I have loved every book in this series. I love all the characteristics of each brother and their boyfriends. I love the obstacles they overcome as they learn what is more important in their lives. But I knew from book 1, that I was going to love Wren the best. (Sorry to the other 4). There was just something about his personality that hit me like a truck. His carefree attitude, his pranks, his outlook on life. But reading his story made me love him even more, because even tho ...more

Climbing roses, rope, a brat, and a Daddy (an audio review)

Prince Renford of Rosavia is a pain in the you know what to his family, especially his elder brother Cas who is constantly cleaning up the messes of his brothers. Wren is known for being unreliable and unfocused. When his father makes him Commander of the Roses, he balks at what he considers a boring and tedious task. Little does he realize how much those roses will come to mean to him. All the family members have roses grown for them an

This is the final book in a quintet of concurrent stories, a unique setup where each story focuses on one of five brothers (the Princes of Rosavia), but includes references to the others’ respective stories which are all taking place at the same time. The books are numbered in order from eldest to youngest Prince, but the stories can be read in any order. This story focuses on the youngest, Prince Renford (“Wren”), 5th in line for the throne, significantly younger than his eldest brothers and no ...more

WHEW! Excuse me while I wipe the steam off my e-reader.

Note to you, future reader: bring tissues (and not for any tears!)

This was unexpectedly hot. Perhaps because it was my first dom/sub romance but holy moley. This struck the perfect balance between cheeky and hardcore that I didn’t even know I wanted. No, needed.

At first I was skeptical - I was trying to decide if the characters were hamming it up a little or if it was just my inexperience with this subculture that made me question the beli

The final chapter of the Rosavia Royals and they saved the naughtiest boy for last.

This book has themes of Daddy-boy link and mild Bondage and discipline.

A bratty boy prince needs: a firm but fair Daddy.

Prince Renford - Wren -van Rosavia is the youngest of the princes and, quite honestly, a brat. Barely 19, Ren is given the title of Commander of Roses by his father and it feels like a slap in the face. All his brothers are doing important work - learning to run a country, in the military, worki

Renford "Wren" Langston Alder van Rosavia- last in line to the throne, flirtatious brat, and practical joker. Now nineteen, he was of age to discuss his royal duties. Wren did not expect it to be the palace rose cultivation program "As the Commander of Roses."
He reacted as one might expect. Even in the midst of outrage, he could seek the simplest of comforts from his valet. Although 'crushing' on his valet had to remain a secret. Little did he know how comfortable the two of them would become.

An adorable and heart-warming royal romance with mind kink and lots of tender moments.
This last book in the Rosavia Royals series is centered around Wren and his handsome, composed and enigmatic valet-Thom. Wren comes off as an utterly spoiled brat but in reality is just an utterly lost and ignored adult under that facade, always supported by Thom’s advice and guidance.

Though the sexual tension between the two is thick (Thanks to Wren’s unabashed flirting-which is a treat to read), Thom soon r

This is the fifth novel is the Rosavia Royals series. It may be read as a standalone (but I highly recommend reading all of them!). This novel features the daddy-boy trope and some royal hi-jinks between 5 princes searching for their forever.

Prince Renford (Wren) is 19 and is the 5th of the Rosavia brothers and therefore the last in line to the throne. Due to being the youngest he was never given much responsibility and instead bids his time as a snarky and sassy brat. And when he sets his sight

Barely Regal is a sweet and sexy read that allows two very different men to come together in ways neither of them expects.
I enjoyed watching Wren learn and grow emotionally and intellectually as the pages turned. His character has an innocence that is lovely to see.
Thom is steadfast and true but has been stifled by the life he has accepted as his lot. I enjoyed seeing him take back the control that had been wrested from him.
These two together fit like pieces of a puzzle, snug and sec

So, I have to be honest from the jump - daddy kink and BDSM are NOT my thing. But I won't let that color my opinion of the book overall. Just a heads-up if you aren't into those.

If you've been reading the entirety of the Rosavia Royals series, you know that Wren is the 19-year-old baby of the Rosavia princes. And this is a young man who is desperate to find his place in his royal world, to the point that he often feels untethered. Enter Thom, who has been Ren's valet for several years, and who R

cannot believe this was the last book in the series. I’m gonna miss these princes so much! Thank goodness they’re just a book away.

Wren is the baby of the family, and most definitely the brat of the family. Being the fifth prince, he doesn’t have as big of a role to fill as his older siblings. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to be taken seriously. He’s 19 now, and he’s getting restless, and bored. So, when he was summoned to see his father, the King of Rosavia, he was looking forward to hearin

A sweet low-angst, daddy/boy royal romance.
Thom has been there for years, guiding Wren through life in general and his royal duties but it's recently become more as feelings and attraction develop for both men. It's unconventional with Thom being Prince Renford's valet and Thom has been burned before with a person in a position of power turning against him. However, Wren knows exactly who and what he wants and is willing to wait for their time. It's interesting, how having the right person guid
