A secret prince needs: a lost tourist to save.

Prince Cassander is on vacation from his overdeveloped sense of duty. While hiding out as simply ‘Cas’ in the Rosavian capital, he rescues a gorgeous, distressed American tourist. Matty has no idea that Cas is second in line to the throne. And with only two weeks together to explore the sparks between them, he doesn’t need to e

I liked this book much more than book 1. The insta love between Cas, second in line to the throne, and Matty, American tourist transporting his young niece to a summer archery program, was fairly believable.

The word "sweetheart" was overused and the dialogue bordered on cheesy, but the MCs set the sheets on fire.

A pitch-perfect ending rounded out this cute, sexy story. Bonus: Unlike the first book, this story had few internal monologues.

Reign or Shine was my first book by HJ Welch. I'm a sucker for a good royalty romance, so I was looking forward to it.

It was cute, very insta-lovish, and I don't mean this in a bad way, it was also simplistic. If you're looking for a quick, feel-good story, then dive right in.

Another cute instalment to this series.

I liked it a lot and it worked pretty well for me. While is wasn't "instalove" for Cas and Matty, it was pretty close to it but I went into the book expecting that so it did not rub me the wrong way. It actually kinda worked for me since I suspended belief and went along for the ride quite happily. Lol

One thing though: why are they allowing the pesky reporter from getting away with her lies? First in the previous book, and then in this one. I do hope one of

This is a sweet modern day fairy tale. There's the prince (Cas) who just wants to live as a normal citizen for awhile without all the responsibilities that have been thrown on him. Then there's the American tourist (Matty) who has problems almost as soon as he arrives in Rosavia. Cas steps in and helps him out, not telling him who he is. They spend a lot of time together, falling for each other rather quickly. Even so, Cas knows they can't continue once it's time for Matty to go back to America. ...more

Omg! Dip me in blueberry sugar and fry me up that was so freaking sweet!!! So cute. I might have actually swooned at the ending there. Like book 1 we get a prince who loves to dote and take care of his commoner lover. But this time the commoner is a New Yorker ❤ and has no idea the handsome guy he's falling for is a real live prince. Ohh! Just so good. Like a Disney movie but with waaaaay more butt sex. Glory to Rosavia!!🌹🌹🌹 ...more

I enjoyed the way Cassander and Matty worked things out because while I detest the secrets that cause misunderstandings and hurt, it's how they work things out that make the difference. Cassander is under a lot of pressure and most of it is his own making despite the selfishness of his brothers and a fling with Matty what wholly unexpected, but exactly what he needed. His tenderness and care for and of Matty was endearing as was the way he sincerely apologized for the hurt his

You know, this is only my second book of this series so far, but I’ve got to say, I almost love the valets as much as the MCs. First Hugo and now Valentina. These guys are a riot. I friggin love them. And I love too, that even in this one, Matty even said he feels like he’s in a fairy tale. It’s a very sweet, romantic set of books so far and I’m enjoying them immensely. I’m still waiting for Wren’s story, which I’ve seen is book 5. That boy is a mess and I just adore him.
But this one was special

Here in the second book of the series we get the second-oldest prince, Cassander (Cas), the good guy who covers for his brothers and cleans up after their messes…at least until he decides to take a well-deserved break to put himself first for a change. He just wants to get lost in the masses for a while, to feel like he’s just Cas, and not a member of the royal family. Good thing, too, because taking that break lets him run into Matty.

Matty is a super-sweet, selfless, and dedicated guy, and I th

This a relatively no angst read. The only thing I would have liked is to see Matty spend some time with the royal family. He briefly meets some of the brothers at the ball, but basically that is it. Cas just wants to spend some time as a normal person and not constantly being the prince all of the time. When he meets Matty and his niece in a sporting good store, Cas is smitten, but he knows that nothing will ever come of it as there are rules. He is a prince and can't be seen with a commoner, le ...more
This series is seriously everything. I’ve now read all but one of the books and I’ve been so overjoyed with how great each of them was, in their own unique ways. Reading these so out of order was fun, because if you saw Cas through his brothers eyes you’d think he was boring, stuffy, and too responsible, but that is most definitely not the case! Cas and Marty have great chemistry and seriously scorching passion. I loved that they both were finally able to put themselves first instead of only wor ...more

This was SOOOO good. I finished this book with such a happy, goofy smile on my face. It was such a feel-good book. Matty is on his first vacation out of the US to bring his niece to an archery tournament. Cas is one of the Princes of Rosavia, but he needs to get away from the responsibility and stress for a couple of weeks. When Cas meets Matty, everything shifts and he starts to realize that he needs to focus on himself more. They were so perfect for each other. They both had some vulnerabiliti ...more

Must say the valets in Rosavia have a magic all their own. I think they’re secretly running everything. I’m so glad Matty has family/friends/cheerleaders in his life. They give him the best advice. Blue is already my favorite color but this book made it more so. “You brought me to life.” Together, Matty and Cas found something real and precious. They build each other up and show the other how amazing they really are. In my eyes they’re both priceless treasures to always be cherish

From the same authors that brought us the wonderful series, Men of Hidden Creek, we get a wonderful group of new men in a fun, unique setting! First things first, I absolutely LOVE how reach book is tied to each other in little ways, really making this series one that can be read in any order, depending on your mood! This book is a perfect example of the outstanding writing style of Welch! She has a combination of amazing characters that you fall in love with and their amazing story of finding l ...more

Reign and Shine by H.J. Welch is the second book in the Rosavia Royals Series. Each book is written by a different author.

This book is about the 'spare', the second son, prince Cassander and American Matty. Cassander takes a vacation from his sense of duty. He's hiding out as simply Cas. He meets Matty and keeps his real identity a secret. I loved Cas and Matty.

Super cute and reminded me a little of the way Princess Mary of Denmark met Fredrick, le sigh. I love a good meet cute and throw in a handsome Prince, an American tourist out of his depths and a cute kid to boot and you're totally on a winner.

Book 2 of the Rosavia Royals series is a fun read and you'll totally love Cas and Matty's romance.

second story in this series and even though you don't have to read them in order honestly i would recommend it. they are all stand alone but it is so much fun to read the others before each of these. it was amazing.. so much fun and sexy... some hi-jinks happen... some different people who got confused on who was who... some people who are happy and loving. it was all around a fun story to read!

This is the second book in a quintet of concurrent stories, a unique setup where each story focuses on one of five brothers (the Princes of Rosavia), but includes references to the others’ respective stories which are all taking place at the same time. The books are numbered in order from eldest to youngest Prince, but the stories can be read in any order. This story focuses on the second eldest, Prince Cassander, and portrays a sweet, low angst romance with American tourist Matty Doyle. It’s no ...more

Blue Roses and Blueberries (an audio review)

I am enjoying my time in Rosavia. These royal brothers are quite unique. Take Cas, for instance. He’s the spare and by far the most responsible one. He’s always going around cleaning up after everyone else. He’s also often the confidante – he knows many of his brothers’ secrets. And when he longs to get away from the pressure of being a royal? He has an apartment in the town where he escapes and tries to just be himself. Whoever that is. One day he hap

If you're looking for fluffy fairy tale romance escapism, this is the book for you. Is it realistic? Highly unlikely. Is it great literature that your grandchildren will have for their required summer reading? It would be highly shocking if it were to become so. But I found it much more enjoyable than The Red Badge of Courage, though not as much as Pride & Prejudice, so far as required reading goes.
Cas is incredibly sweet and hot and I didn't blame him too much for his deception. I do think Matt

This is the second novel is the Rosavia Royals series. It may be read as a standalone (but I highly recommend reading all of them!). This novel features some hidden identities and mysteries and some royal hi-jinks between 5 princes searching for their forever.

Cassander is second to line of the throne and takes on much more responsibilities then his other brothers when it comes to fulfillign Royal tasks. So, when Sander needs a break he heads into town, away from the palace and holds up in his li

I'm listening to these books out of order, but I truly think that they can be read in any order and you won't miss out on anything. One suggestion, though? Read or listen to all of them at some point because once you start, you won't want to leave Rosavia until you meet all the princes and their loves.

I found the concept of five different books about five prince brothers written by five different authors to be quite original. They share some things in common, of course. They're all set

Guys, we may have just unearthed a diamond with this one.

Anyone who’s ever had a holiday fling will immediately recognise all the telltale signs in this book. And if you’re like me, you’ll find it answers all your personal “what if”s with utterly delectable feelings… not to mention a cracker story.

You’ll come for the sweet romance and explosive sex scenes and you’ll stay for the reverent, quietly tenacious love that conquers a hurricane of troubles.

Although this story has tropes that I love—fish out of water and secret prince—I didn’t expect to fall for it so quickly and so hard. This is my first read of this author, and I’ll be looking for more.

The characters pulled me into the story from the first page. Matty is out of his comfort zone in so many ways, and his generous, kind nature shines through in the way he puts his sister and niece first. His ex has really done a number on him and I loved the way Cas helps him to realise what a good

This is a fantastic shared world series about 5 brothers who so happen to be princes of the small but beautiful country of Rosavia. Although they can be all read as standalones (as the stories happen concurrently in the month before the Royal Ball), it's most definitely worth reading all of them. The authors manage to seamlessly add tidbits from the other stories in each book, but not so much as to give their plots away. It's just enough to show the interwoven nature of the stories and to give t ...more

I hope you’re regularly seeing a dentist, because this book is so darn sweet, it could give you a cavity. This book is the perfect one to follow up Leo’s story, and not just because Cas is second in line to the throne. As I predicted in my review of book one, the storylines overlap to wind up at the ball. So, it was fun getting some glimpses of his brothers’ stories entwined in this book. I cannot wait to read them, either!
