Programs designed to improve children's educational outcomes by teaching parents to become more involved in their child's schooling, are rarely evaluated rigorously enough for conclusions to be drawn about their ability to meet their goals. This report should be of interest to providers of parent involvement programs, school district personnel, and others concerned about helping children to learn, and the way parents can facilitate that process.
