Hudson had been hurt in the past, the woman he wanted to marry had broken his heart and ever since he had kept himself guarded. Besides, no woman every wanted all of him, they wanted bits, to pick and choose which parts of him they would be willing to accept. they never wanted all of him, and he didn't want to give himself to someone either Until Lena. Rescued from the Twisted Heart the young woman is vulnerable, trying to understand her place in a world outside protection and mind games. She unlocks Hudson's need to protect, and instinct he thought was only afforded to his family. But the more times he spends with her, the easier she is slipping past his defenses. He wants her, but with her past he fears his love could break her.
Web of Betrayal in Book four in Maggie Cole's Together we Stand series, centering around Hudson and Lena we are drawn into an engaging romance that will have you on the edge of your seat, literally screaming out in frustration at some of the things his ex, Kate, is doing. A game of manipulation is unfolding in his own house, and it seems that Lena is the key to more than just his happiness, because she knows things, things she must never talk about, that make her central to everything the Twisted Hearts want. Engaging, sweet, and frustrating, definitely another great addition to the series.

I’ve been waiting for Hudson’s story. He’s the controlling, brooding older Brooks brother who is always looking out for everyone, but the one thing he can’t do is figure out why the Twisted Hearts are after his family. Hudson was betrayed by his ex-Kate, and has really put a hold on finding the right someone. When Gabrielle and Lena are found, Hudson takes in Lena to help her get acclimated to a more normal life. When Hudson first saw Lena he couldn’t stop looking at her, she’s the light he needs in his life, it’s so full of darkness he just wants to be wrapped up in her. Lena is broken and needs help regaining her life and when Kate enters the picture everything flies out the door.
Lena is filled with the feeling she’s unworthy of someone like Hudson, that she could never fill his needs, but little does she know that she’s the perfect fit for him. If only Kate would stop sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. So many lies, secrets and betrayals for both Lena and Hudson, truths you fear are true, but can’t come to grips with it. This book will rock you to your core, you won’t see it coming, I’m telling you, you won’t. Everything Hudson and Lena are fighting for is hanging by a string being dangled by evil, can these two make it through everything to come out together? Absolutely loved this story, the twists and turns will have your jaw to the floor, your head spinning, such a great read and I can’t wait for Gracie and Kade’s story, because there is more to him than we know.

Oh Maggie Cole, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE?! I promise it's safe to say that I'm in love with this new to me author as Web of Betrayal is an epic suspense filled story that is my happy place. Hudson Brooks is the eldest of the Brooks siblings, which he takes very seriously as he does everything he can to protect his family. He's also a bit broody these days since the last woman he was with betrayed him, and he's been battling that ever since. However, fate has another plan for him, but it does come at a cost, because the reason he's met Lena is because she was rescued when his sister was rescued from the Twisted Hearts gang. Lena is now staying with him, and since she went through big time hell she's severely broken with a mean case of PTSD, so the FBI sends in someone to help her, and that person is Hudson's ex, Kate. Let the crazy chaotic games begin. There are so many twists that I spent my time on the edge of my seat dropping f-bombs, and not putting it down for even a second. The evil, sinister plots definitely had my heart in my throat as they unraveled tiny bit by tiny bit. Getting into the heart of everything surrounding the Brooks family is getting intense.
Web of Betrayal is the 4th book in the Brooks family saga and it had me on the edge of my seat. This was the story about Lena who was kidnapped by a member of the Twisted Hearts gang several years ago and she was bound to him in the gang. When the leaders of the gang was killed she came to live with Gabriella's brother Hudson while she got help through the FBI.
This help came by the way of Hudson's ex girlfriend Kate. Nobody in the Brooks family likes her for what she did to Hudson. She cheated on him and when he found out he broke it off with her. Now she's living in his house while Lena is under therapy.
Lena is a sweetheart and likes to help around the house as a means of paying back Hudson for his hospitality. She's having a hard time with Kate because she is constantly trying to get info from her about the gang and what all she knew. During the time that she has been living here she has grown closer to Hudson and starts to get feelings for him. Hudson is highly attracted to Lena but he is worried about her and all she has been through.
This story is so good!! Lots of lies and manipulation. Loved how Lena and Hudson come together. Hot scenes together. Tons of suspense. Ready for book 5 of 6. Great series.

With each new addition to the Together We Stand series I find myself wishing the Brooks family is real and that I could be one of them. Hudson Brooks carries the weight of the family's world on his shoulders. This series gets hotter and hotter
This is book 4 in the TWS series and Maggie Cole has knocked it out of the park with this one.
Hudson and Lena are the subjects of this book, and just like the other ones they are by targeted by the Twisted Hearts. Hudson is by far my favourite of the Brooks brothers, he’s sweet, sexy, hard working, and has the protectiveness that any girl would love in a man. Lena BC is broken at first, told no one would ever love her. But right before your eyes she becomes a beautiful, strong, confident woman with the help of Hudson and the love they find in each other.
Not to give away too much but when Lena and Gabriella leave the hospital, the FBI hires them a therapist to help with their trauma of being captured and declared by the Twisted Hearts. The shocker is the therapist is Hudson’s ex girlfriend Kate, who eventually you find out she’s not a good person. She ends up staying at Hudsons to help with the therapy sessions, but has an ulterior motive and it’s a shocker when you find out who she really is.
If you love stories with hot steamy sex, roller coaster of emotions and twists and turns that keep you kn your toes. Plus guaranteed HEAs This is the series for you, they keep getting better and better

Wow. This series is gold! I’m literally obsessed! This was book 4 in the series and each book is better than the last. This book has many of the same characters with a few new ones too. Kate was introduced at the end of the last book and she is Hudson’s ex. There’s so much to that story about why they aren’t together and why she is back In The picture now.
Lena was in shock and very unstable after everything that happened over the last 6 years. Thankfully she formed a close bond with Gabriella because now, the only people she can count on is Gabriella and her family.
I can’t stand Kate! She has an agenda but no one knows the extent of it until more then halfway thru the book. This one will have you surprised and anxious.
Definitely a lot of suspense and so much heat! An absolute great addition to the series. We also are introduced to Fisher Corbyn and Kade Coral. They both seem to know eachother and both want Gracie but, everyone knows Kade, who is / was Hudson’s best friend and warned him about Kate and her cheating ways years ago. Cannot wait to start Masks of Devotion and am really cheering for Kade to win the girl!

Hudson Brooks is the oldest of the Brooks family. And as the oldest, he feels it is his job to protect them. When his family is targeted by the Twisted Hearts, he knows its his job to protects them. Then his sister is declared and kidnapped. When shes rescued, she brings home the only friend she had during her time with the Twisted Hearts. Lena is broken. Shes been with the Twisted Hearts for six years. Hudson offers to let her stay with him, while shes receiving therapy. And her therapist? Kate Contro. The ex that broke his heart. When Lena remembers something tat may lead to Kate being a member of the Twisted Hearts, Hudson doesn't want to believe it, but he trusts Lena. He knows he has to protect Lena, and his family, so he will do what it takes to do it.
I.. I don't even know where to start with my review for this book. This is the fourth book in the Together We Stand series, and it was an amazing book. Right from the start, it leads you on an emotional roller coaster ride. Lena goes through so much, and when she comes to Hudsons home, shes broken. It is heartbreaking to see how much damaged the Twisted Hearts did to her. But, you get to watch her grow, and see her true self emerge through the book. Hudson, you can tell he goes through life with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Feeling that he has to protect everyone. And you can feel the pain he has over Kates betrayal. But together, you can see them heal each other. I absolutley love this story. The writing was wonderful, and the characters were perfectly imperfect. This book has to be one of the best books I've read. I definitley recommend this book, and this entire series. I just love the Brooks family.

When Gabriella was rescued from the Twisted Hearts Lena her friend and trainer was also saved.
Gabriella wanted to go live a Hudson's where she could feel safe.
Hudson agreed she could bring her friend until she found somewhere else to go. Then he walked into the hospital room & was introduced to Lena.
Typical Alpha male he went into protector mode for her. But he knew that wasn't what she needed. But morning & night they took walks along the beach to unwind before or after work. Hudson looked forward to he's time spent with her, before they knew it they both realise they have feelings for each other.
But there's a big fat fly in the ointment. . . . . . . Called Kate & an even bigger one called. . . . . . . . . . Twisted Hearts.

Web of Betrayal is Hudson Brooks story. Get ready for an exciting read. He is the oldest and most intense brother of this amazing family in the Together We Stand Series. Let me say, I didn’t care much for him and his rigid and controlling character in book one. MAN WAS I WRONG!
Web of Betrayal peels away layers of heartache, betrayal, and drama to reveal the real Hudson Brooks.
The Twisted Hearts Gang continues to wreck havoc on this family, and despite the Brooks effort, they can’t seem to shake the TH grip . This time it hits Hudson below the belt!

I don’t think I can take any more information to my brain with this series. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
The whole situation with Clay’s murder blew my mind, but it goes so much deeper. Didn’t see it coming with Kate, being that high up.
It was great to see Hudson loosen up. Although, the whole “I like certain things in the bedroom.” I don’t think they were weird, I think Ryland & Chloe were kinkier.
I liked them together, but I didn’t think their chemistry was completely off the charts. Glad to see a realistic timeline for a couple though and not telling they love one another after a week.
I have more questions now than ever.
What did Kate want with Hudson. What do the twisted hearts want with the Brook’s clan in general?
Still don’t know details of Lena’s background with them. And I’m pretty annoyed about it that we don’t know.
Looking forward to Gracie & Kade’s story and what he knows. A spy, pretty hot read.

I could not put this book down….Lena and Hudson’s story is one that gives you all the feels. There is suspense, betrayal (of course), pins and needles excitement, and of course a beautiful love story. Hudson and Lena were meant for each other….Lena has been in the Twisted Hearts for way to long and Hudson was there to take her in when she had nowhere to go….so you would think that it was Lena that needed Hudson, and while that is true….I think Hudson needed Lena way more, but in a different way…..she is definitely his light (like the book description says). As Lena and Hudson try to figure things out, there is always that damned Kate acting like she is here to help but she isn’t! Lena wants to show Hudson all the light before it is too late! This is the 4th book in the Together We Stand series by Maggie Cole…..the entire series is amazing…..get them all…..NOW!

Web of Betrayal had me on an emotional roller coaster. I was happy, sad, angry, frustrated. Everything you could feel I felt. Hudson finally gets to have someone in his life that he can call his own but his past is trying to ruin everything. Lena is trying to forget the past and move on to the future she deserves. She's found it in Hudson. Lena's story will have you in tears and will break your heart. You will finally see why Hudson has put up so many walls and will fall in love with him. My heart ached for him throughout this entire book. I wanted to reach out and hold them both in my arms and tell them everything is going to be ok. In the same instance I wanted to punch Kate and tell her to go away and never return. I stood up all night reading. I couldn't put the book down. I was so captivated by Hudson's and Lena's story. You will be too!

This story was spectacular!! Indian make the mistake of not starting at the beginning of the series.. but was still able to piece together the details and understand what was going on.
It would have been easier if I had started with book 1. I LOVED this book. The FMC is recently rescued from a cult type group where she was abused and indoctrinated. The MMC is the brother of another rescued woman and takes her in. After 6 years in this cult.. it is not easy for the FMC to understand she is free. With the help of the MMC she heals. This is a love story.. but it also had me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put it down. I got little else done until I finished the book! 🤣
I recommend reading the series in order and also mind the couple tent warnings. There are some difficult subjects in this book.

Web of Betrayal is the fourth book in the Together We Stand Series by Maggie Cole. This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I have been intrigued by Hudson from book one in the series. He and Lena find strength in one another as they navigate through the betrayal and the darkness surrounding them. There are twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. I love it when a book sets off a reaction in me and Web of Betrayal did. I laughed, cried, and yelled.
I thought the story flowed very well. The characters were well developed. As with Maggie's other books, the secondary characters were much more than filler. I am enjoying the Brooks Family very much. I have become invested in these characters. Kudos to Maggie Cole!

Book 4 in the Together We Stand series is Web of Betrayal featuring Hudson Brooks, the oldest of the Brooks family. I’ve been anxiously waiting for this book as I tend to love the older sibling and relate being the older sibling in my family. Hudson is protective and slow to trust due to past deception.
Through this story Hudson is looking out for Lena and these two try to navigate their feelings while the dreaded Ex, Kate, comes back into the picture. Hudson learns of the deception and lies on behalf of Kate and learns to trust again in Lena.
Just when I think Maggie Cole can’t keep bringing the feels and emotions she does it again in Web of Betrayal. She keeps you wondering what will happen next!

3 years ago Kate cheated on Hudson, she left him heartbroken, bitter and angry. Lena was recued from the Twisted Hearts with Gabriella. After 6 years being held by them she is damaged and needing to heal . Lena is invited to stay at Hudson's beach house to recover from the trauma. Kate is brought in by the FBI to help counsel Lena and Gabriella, but she has motives! Hudson needs to learn to trust again and to be open to love. As Lena and Hudson become closer Kate's layers become obvious. Hudson must examine the past, see past his hurt and betrayal, to clearly see what Kate really is - before it's too late! Can the oldest Brooks brother stop taking care of everyone else long enough to fix himself? Can Lena and Hudson' relationship survive and be come what they both so desperately need?

She stays at his house but she feels like she isn't contributing to his household. His ex Kate is a therapist and is brought in to help both Lena and Gabriella. Kate questions Lena constantly about the Twisted Hearts information. She also puts down Lena at every meeting. Kate also tries to get back with Hudson. They realize she is spying on them. Hudsons best friend Kade shows up and is intreged with Gracie, Hudsons younger sister. This book had me under its spell throughout this story. Very well written book. Highly recommended.

Prepare yourself for the emotional rollercoaster of a lifetime! You will go through every emotion from laughter, to tears, to frustration, to anger, and you will fall in love with Lena and Hudson. Their chemistry will set your soul on fire🔥! There are so many secrets, but eventually everything comes spilling out. Passion. That's the best word to go with Hudson. Everything he does, he does with passion. From protecting his family to working his home renovation business, and of course, Lena. He thinks his passionate nature is almost a defect and afraid of scaring Lena while she's healing from being a declared woman of the Twisted Hearts Gang. He couldn't be more wrong! Lena is so much stronger than anyone gives her credit for. And really, if a passionate alpha can't help her, no one can.

Maggie Cole has done it again. I started this book and did not put it down until I finished it! This series is a must read!! Every story makes you fall more in love with the Brooks Family. Hudson is strong, kindhearted, fierce, and an alpha in the bedroom. Lena may have been broken, but with the Brook's family and Hudson's help she finds her way back to herself. Together they can overcome anything. I laughed, cried, raged, and got all hot and bothered and loved every minute of this story.

Maggie Cole has done it yet again with this latest installment in the Together We Stand series. Hudson and Lena’s story brings all the heat, suspense, action, etc. You get pulled into this world, and you just want more. We get a peak at Hudson’s softer side (among other sides ). We also learn a lot more about the Twisted Hearts, and Lena’s journey to rediscover who she is once out of her hellish life since being declared. You won’t want to put this one down!

Maggie Cole has outdone herself with Hudson protecting the family! The series continues to twist and turn and break my heart one minute, then restore my faith the next! Hudson was hurt by Kate but now must prove to Lena and himself that it was the best thing to ever happen to him! Lena’s growth over time is simply amazing to me and made me love her, almost as much as I hated Kate! Don’t miss this Brooks family story!
