This is book three of the River Valley High Boyfriend series and covers the story of two opposites, both living in completely different worlds to the other. One is Jack Whittaker, whose great grandparents opened up the well-known ice cream parlour in their home town, which is now a multi-billion dollar company, which his father and aunt now own and which his mother also works in. His parents give him anything he wants in a material world, but are never home and show little attention or love towards him. The other main character is Bella Anderson, who lost her dad to a tragic accident at home, whilst he was painting the outside of their home. There is just her mother, her much younger brother Sam and her now and they have had to move to a much smaller home in a worse area and with a mother who has to work full-time or more, to provide for them. Bella goes to River Valley High, nicknamed Arvee’s by the well-off teens from the private prep school Covington’s, who are known by their distinct school blazers as Stripers. There is a definite rivalry between the schools and the teens never willingly mix.

Bella is on the volleyball team for her school and often gives her best friend and their team captain Maddie a lift and Maddie leaves petrol money in her car each time, knowing she needs the money. Bella and the team are taken to Peter’s, the Whittaker ice-cream parlour, after their first ever win of the season, by their coach to celebrate. She sees a job advert for help there and applies, getting the job on the spot. This allows her to work Friday nights and the weekends to earn some money to help her mum out and to pay for her own petrol and clothing or just outings with her friends. She spends weekday evenings helping out her mum by looking after her younger brother when her mum was working late, or at Volleyball practice. She enjoys her new job, apart from the influx of well-off teens from Covington prep school, most of whom seem drunk and cause her problems as she tries to serve them. A late comer, Jack, comes to her rescue and tells the other girls to go away. They still cause further problems at closing and Jack apologises on their behalf.

Jack has been immediately smitten by Bella and Bella is struck speechless and completely shy around him as he is so good looking, but also way out of her league and she knows it. Jack asks her out for lunch and that starts off their relationship. He take smatters really slow, not wanting to push her too fast, but he has fallen for her hard! He plays golf for his school team and with his best friend Troy, are the best in their school. Troy is aiming to get a golf scholarship to college and Jack may have a chance, but his parents already have his future all lined up for him, with him set up to run the family business after them. Bella used to play golf, but hasn’t touched a club since her father’s death. He wanted to be a pro, but wasn’t quite good enough, ending up learning how to look after the courses and thus working every day at something he loved.

Bella was really good at golf, but the dream of being her dad’s caddy died with him and only a date with Jack ends up with a club back in her hands again. She soon recovers the love for golf that she formerly had, but unfortunately an opportunity to watch Jack play, ends in disappoint to Bella’s dreams of a romance with Jack. It seems they are just too far apart to ever have a real chance together. Bella is heart-broken, but decides to follows her dreams and concentrate on college. A new job offer helps with the heartache, leaving Jack completely clueless as to what he did wrong. A story of young love and how such a simple thing can cause a misunderstanding and the break-up of what seemed like a real romance, between teens on opposite sides of the town, but who had so many things in common. Classic problems of relationships in high school and the reader will have to find out whether they can overcome them or not. Another great read from the author. Easy to read and a fun story of young love, no matter what stands in the way. A great read for those of all ages. I received an ARC of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

don't really know what to say... this book was ok. I mean even for a short one time read it was a little boring because the plot wasn't so strong and the romance was really off. also, the book doesn't really have much to talk about even if I give spoilers, so i am going to end the review by telling that UNLESS AND UNTIL YOU ARE SURE YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO READ, THEN DONT READ THIS BOOK. IT WILL WASTE YOUR TIME

Billionaire Boyfriend is the third book in this series. I love that these can be read as standalones even though past people/couples are included in the new stories.
I have enjoyed this whole series so far and loved this story. I easily read this in one day! I really liked Bella as a character even though she was insecure about how she lived compared to Jack. I loved that ice cream and sports was the center of this book. Bella lost her dad much too early and gave up on playing golf. Then she meets Jack from ACROSS THE RIVER and realizes that she misses the sport.
Jack is from Covington Prep where he plays golf and is the heir of the Whittaker Ice Cream company. He is really a down to earth character though and didn't care at all where Bella came from. He seemed to get along with her mother and Bella's brother loved him from the beginning because Jack was nice enough to take them to the movies; which was a special treat for them.
I really liked Jack and how he acted with people; I just wish Bella hadn't assumed everything and been honest with him. I loved the ending of this story though and was glad that Bella's mom was able to move on and Bella was able to almost make friends with some of the Covington Prep people. I wish that we could have seen how it went if Jack ever introduced Bella to his parents and how the fundraiser turned out.
I was really glad that Jack's dad seemed to have a change of heart and realized things needed to change early.
I'm excited to see how the next story goes and if Bella and Jack will be included also.

Bella is a senior at River Valley, a public high school. She’s playing Volleyball and is enjoying it. Ever since her dad died 3years ago, she does get sad a lot. She has a wonderful Mom and dear little brother Sam.

Jack goes to a private school, for those with wealth. An only child whose parents rarely give him the time of day.

This book deals with what is important. Family and good friends. It deals with the reality of insecurities, poor or rich.

I love the characters in this book. Excellent book as are all of Kylie Keys books.

This was a wonderful addition to the "Boyfriend" series by Kylie Key. In fact, it's my favorite one so far. Be prepared with a few tissues, though, as it does deal with the issue of grief and loss and will make those tears fall. I love reading a book that pulls me in so much that I feel for the characters. I highly recommend this book, and the rest in the series, for a good read.

Bella and Jack both have insecurities about things in their life. Bella feels as though she doesn't measure up to Jack's billionaire family. While Jack is embarrassed by his parents.

While still grieving for her father who had a sudden accident and passed away. She is learning that good memories are heart warming now instead of heart wrenching. All with the help from Jack, who doesn't know he is helping.

I fell in love with these two characters. Both having to grow up on their own due to circumstances. Both have a wonderful heart and are very thoughtful.

A heartwarming love story about friendship, confidence and what really matters, people and not money. Bella and Jack’s lives are opposites. He is a rich boy who craves his family support. Bella’s Dad died three years ago and her mother is struggling to keep the family afloat. But Jack and Bella are good for each other and they need to realise it.

Billionaire boyfriend vs regular girl

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2020...

Spoilers? Hmm, it'll be a few but probably not a lot.. let's see...

I was curious about what will happen in this book and what it'll be about. I see that Maddie and Ella are friends but the first book. Rylee, I don't think they are friends with her. I didn't come across her when I read the book about Maddie and Peyton or this one with Ella and Jack.

I did agree with Maddie thought that Ella jumped to conclusions about why Jack ignored her at his golf game. He had his reasons I understood why he had them. Especially when it came to his mom, she was just ugh.. she needed help; seriously.

But I also understood why Ella pushes him away too because you'll assume that the guy you are seeing doesn't want you to meet his family. Especially when you are not from his side of town. He has money, and you don't.

But in the end, I was glad that they worked things about and figured out the misunderstanding that they had about why she didn't meet his family. Plus, his dad letting him get a golf scholarship and going to a state college. What I learned when you are rich fiction or rich, your family has control over what you do with your life. Half the time, those individuals go up bitter or have their children grow up the way that they did.

I was glad that his parents were making a change, especially after what happened with Jack's grandfather. Plus, Jack working things out with Ella and showing her that he did love and care about her. He didn't care about what school she went to, the house she lived in, what clothes she wears or how her car looked. He just wanted to be with her. He finally got to show her off at the fundraiser and gala. Plus, Blair finally came around too because she was kind of mean in the beginning until she learned that Jack was serious about Ella.

Besides that, I can't wait to read the other books about Harper and Tanchia, especially since it's one falling for a rebel to the other falling for the quarterback. But I am definitely leaning more towards "rebel" since I'm curious.

This story was incredible. I am so ready for the next book by this author. I’ve read all of them so far and they are all so incredible. This story was no less. There was a major social problem that was covered throughout the book. I love how all the problems are resolved in the end. I loved the characters. They were so real. They had backgrounds, problems, guilt, feelings, and love. They both hold so much power. I loved having a lot more of the hero’s perspective. I’m yelling at him in my head when he doesn’t go after Bella. This whole story captures my attention and left me with a smile on my face.

This story follows Bella and Jack. They are from opposite sides of the city. Jack is a billionaire’s son whose future will be the family company. Bella’s mom works long nights. Bella’s father fell to his death in a complete freak accident. Since then, Bella, her mom, and brother moved. Bella hasn’t played golf, which was her father’s favourite thing, since his passing. Jack is a rich kid who may have everything but love. His parents don’t interact with him or each other and are completely stuck in the company only for money. They meet when Bella takes a job at an ice cream store that Jack’s family owns. Jack instantly likes her and decides to approach her. Will their classes keep them apart?

Bella is playing volleyball with 8 seconds to score a goal! She makes the shot and her team celebrate at Peter's ice cream. They are hiring and she contemplates applying for a job. Life hadn't been easy since her dad died. She gets the job at Whittaker. Her dream job becomes a nightmare when the Covington Hill girls make her life hell a guy tries to smooth things and pays for the icecream. Bella is angry at him, just as he leaves, Ash tells her she has just met Jake Whittaker. After another volleyball match Jack approaches her group and flirt with her! Flirt?! And then he tags her on his social media, her friends are convinced he's crushing on her. She doesn't need that complication!! Jack was completely hooked when he met Bella, but when his friends and family call her names such as Arvee and tell him he could do better he's had enough. Going to Peter's, talking to her, he decides to do it! Ask her out!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story ❤️ the characters are likeable and relatable. The story is well written, easy to read and engaging. Written from dual POVs of Bella and Jack their thoughts feelings and emotions are intimately written and their relationship develops from a crush to first love. There's plenty of angst, misconceptions, miscommunication and misunderstanding; but Jack is determined to show Bella just what she means to him. There's a sweet HEA

One of the things that was ridiculous to me about this book is that the "billionaire" family's money was made by the grandpa. So the family fortune was two generations old. You want to know how he made his billions? A local ice cream shop. Yep, I know that's not how money works—unless grandpa was laundering money for the mafia, and was also a multi-millionaire at birth. I guess I shouldn't assume. And the dad was always going to business meetings and out of town and so busy busy busy all the time. Like, what are you doing? Even if he worked for corporate Ben and Jerry's there is no literal way his life would look like that, nor would he have that much money.

Anyway, this glaring ridiculous fundamental thing aside, the writing was sometimes confusing. It would switch from present to past tense and it would jump forward through time in a confusing manner. The book was still kinda fun and sweet anyway, but it would have benefitted from a few rounds of strong edits.

This was a cute installment in the River Valley High series. I'm totally not reading these in order, but I don't think it matters. I've been able to follow along with them all just fine. I liked this one. It was nice to get a look into the family behind the famous ice cream shop in River Valley and to get a look at the rivalry between the two schools. I also liked how sweet Jack was.

This book was super cute
It was also predictable but nonetheless I did enjoy it.
The characters were nice and their stories were nice but that’s about it. A quick cute read

Some things were cringy
Some things were filler and you could skip a sentence or paragraph at times

But it was nice. I just wish there was more to the story

This was a cute sweet read. There are mentioned of grief that got me right in the feels. I was so glad that the miscommunication was cleared up eventually even if it wasn’t prompt and I loved that Jack’s family was able to come together after such a scary time. It was quick and perfectly sweet.

That epilogue sucked. Also it took way too long for the couple to reunite. We lost a good portion of the book to backdrop. Disappointed.

Romance story overall was decent. The book is rather short and both MCs are in High School so it's not very deep and detailed.

The female MC has lost her dad and she still deals with the repercussions whole the male MC has parents who simply don't want to understand their son and who are very work obsessed.

The reason for why their relationship has a bit of a hiccup was sad. I thought it was not very believable that Jack didn't get why she was mad at him. Like, lol, too obvious... you were the ah.

Writing style still leaves a bit to be desired. There were some time jumps throughout without the proper intro and the necessary paragraphs, which was confusing.

*Author's review* This was one of my easiest books to write because Bella and Jack spoke to me so clearly that I couldn't get their story down fast enough. Bella is one of my favorite female characters I've written and of course Jack was everything! I hope you enjoy their story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Meet cute

Even though they may be worlds apart socially and financially, Bella and Jack find they have a lot in common. Will they be able to get past all that separates them? Or will family and friends keep them apart?
Good message in this one too: the rich boy’s parents have no real values. Money is everything. There is no real relationship between them and his parents are heavy drinkers. Everything is about appearance. There is no depth and no closeness. Bella is close to her family and appreciates all the sacrifices her single mother makes for the family. She values them and the hard work they do for the simplest pleasures in life. In reality, who of the two of them is really the richest?
Really cute, sweet, clean teen romance. Well written. I recommend it.
