Pinch me and tell me this isn't happening. My hair is a mess. There's a wedding ring on my finger. And my jerk of an ex boyfriend is sleeping right beside me.
Let me take a deep breath and jog my memory.
We arrived in Vegas three days ago for a mutual friend's wedding. The reception party got a little out of hand. We took a few shots of tequila. Danced like maniacs. Talked about our past. I smacked his shoulder for breaking my heart. More tequila. I stared at his bulging biceps. Called him a rich brat. He pulled me in closer and said something in my ear. And then...
Did we go to a chapel after? Holy Mother of God. I need to get out of here before he wakes up. I'm not ready for this conversation. What if he tells me that this was my idea? Or worse, what if he admits that this was, in fact, a stupid accident?
This standalone is Olivia and Michael's story! Be prepared for the crazy ride with no cliffhangers and a cute happily ever after!
DNF I swear I tried. I almost made it to the third chapter. But when I finished reading the second chapter, I just couldn't convince myself to continue. If you're asking why, the answer is - I'm asking that too. I honestly have no idea why I didn't like the book or why I gave up that early. I just couldn't be bothered to read on. I'm annoyed. At everything. I think I'm gonna read a different genre next, for a change of pace.
Olivia and Michael are in Vegas for a wedding and when they drink a bit too much, they end up married. Will this be their second chance? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters, steamy chemistry and a fun and entertaining story. I liked it.
Hilarious couples! This book is about Olivia and Michael, but Fallon and Simon are in it too along with the other couples and Cody. The book starts off with the prologue of Fallon and Simon’s wedding and Michael and Olivia having pickle back shots and waking up married in Vegas, of course. Michael and Olivia have a history and even though they love each other, they both want separate things which was the reason they broke up. Michael is willing to change what he wants if she doesn’t annul the wedding.
The story is funny for so many reason, each couple has something going on and Fallon and her grandma’s nightgowns are to die for, but between Michael and Olivia there is a secret that is revealed at the end, which changes the lives of everyone around. The question is will this new person involved become the next couple with Cody or is Cody just destined to be alone forever? I love this. I cannot wait for the next book – does Cody and Michael make up after Michael punched him?

I am loving this series!! Summer Brooks definitely has a way with keeping you hooked until the very end!! I’m going to hate seeing this series end!! 🖤💜🖤
I have to start out by saying I adored the other books in this series. I was very interested to read this book after being introduced to the characters in Simon and Fallons book. I am not sure what happened, but this was crap. There were grammatical errors, the characters were annoying as hell and it didn't feel like the story was really moving at all. The airport scene was funny, but beyond that; I really struggled to stay in the story. I can't even blame it on one character over the other, because they were both terrible.
Ma scherzi no?!?!
Spoiler (I mention something that you find out in the second chapter) Wow, I loved this book even more than the last one in this series!!! (Although, they could each be read as a stand alone, it's nice knowing the story of the supporting characters is a bonus.) Olivia and Michael had worked together at his company. They had sexual chemistry that was off the charts and they enjoyed it to the fullest. However, at some point, Michael is ready to take it to the next level, have a real relationship, get married and have a family. Olivia is definitely not there yet, she's younger than him and is in no rush to settle down and have kids. She decides the best thing to do is break things off with him and quit her job so she doesn't have to see him every day. She still loves him, but doesn't want to hold him back from finding someone who will settle down with him and have a family at his speed. They are both at their best friends' wedding in Las Vegas, it kills her to see him, but she toughs it out for her friend. Michael catches up with her at the bar and talks her into doing shots and dancing. As the night goes on, they continue drinking and continue the party after leaving the wedding together. She wakes up the next morning, partially undressed and notices a wedding band on her ring finger!! Well, she runs out and heads back to New York. Michael gives her time to adjust, he knows they were drunk when they married, but he remembers it all, and he doesn't plan on ending this marriage. He finally convinces her to give them a chance and that he can wait for her to be ready for kids. They agree to go away and spend some time together and relax. She picks Hawaii, which for some reason, makes Michael nervous. It seems he has a secret he hasn't shared with her yet. Will this secret destroy what they're building together or can love conquer all...

This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great humour mixed with drama and wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.

Marrying My Ex-Boyfriend has a fun and interesting story line that will have your stomach hurting as you are laughing so much.
Olivia and Michael are attending their friend's wedding, the problem is they are no longer together. Olivia and Michael broken up because they are not at the same place in life, but they still want each other. To much to drink, an Elvis impersonator, and a couple a wedding ring they wake up next morning having said I do. Olivia freaks out, flies home and ignores all call and text. Michael is happy and wants to make it work. He regretted the breakup once it happen. The question is can they make this work.
Olivia is a strong woman, determined to do things on her own. She is also sassy and feisty, not letting anything get or anyone get in her way. Michael is handsome and smart, but he has made some mistakes in his life, and now he is worried if one of those mistakes will ruin his chance with Olivia. I love the banter and tension between them, it make for a great story and a delight read.
They other character in the book are so frank and honest that you know with friends like them who needs enemies.

I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest review. First, let me say that I was pleasantly surprised that Jason and Kiera from Crushing on My Neighbor (another ARC I previously reviewed) were in this book. Of all Summer Brooks characters I must say that they are my favorite. The only issue with that is that I started comparing Jason/Kiera to Michael/Olivia. With that said Michael and Olivia had a hilarious Vegas story. I suspected very early on the twist that was coming. I think I just expected it because of the pressure he put on Olivia to start a family. The writing in the book was so great and sucked you into the story that (spoiler) I started gagging every time someone mentioned pickles. The intimate scenes were HOT! I loved that we got to meet brand new characters. Kai being my favorite! I highly recommend this book. I will say that it lost 1 star (because I can’t take away 1/2 a star) because I feel like Michael and Olivia’s story isn’t finished. What happens in the future beyond 1 year in the future? I’m hoping that this means that there is another book in the works to give us the ending!!

Olivia what have I done im lying in a bed in a hotel room in Vegas next to my ex Michael after one to many picklebacks all because of my friends wedding and me allowing my ex to convince me that picklebacks were way better then they sounded whiskey and pickle juice yuck. Now what to do runaway and hope I can avoid my new husband.
Michael I broke up with Olivia the best thing I had we were in different places I wanted a life with her kids she wasn't ready now i have a chance and I'm not going to ruin it note to self don't tell my new wife Elvis married us and I have to figure out how to tell her about my other big secret one I've regretted for 12 years lets hope our trip to Hawaii dosen't ruin everything.
Olivia and Michael go about there relationship completely backward they have lots of sex never date break-up then get hitched it was hilarious but allot of there problems could have been solved by talking more. This is a great romantic comedy there friends are hilarious cant wait to see were things take Cody and Serena.

Olivia and Michael met when she was working for Simon. Things quickly went south between them now they are together for their friends wedding in Vegas and Michael wants a second chance. Michael hurt Olivia badly when he ended things especially with how he was rushing their relationship. So she was trying to avoid him during the wedding functions. He convinces her to have a drink with him and they end up having more than she planned. The next day she wakes up next to Michael with a wedding ring on her finger. This makes her scamper to get away to figure out her next move. Michael let's her go but plans to go after her because he isn't about to lose her again. However he has a secret he has shared with her will it be what ends up breaking them up for good?
This is a good story not what I was expecting after reading the last one. They acted like teenagers rather than adults to me but their banters was funny. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any book lover.

This was not the story I was expecting it to be, and these are not the characters I thought I was getting to know in the previous book. Before I started reading this book, I thought Olivia was the victim and Michael was the cause of all the problems in their relationship. Imagine my surprise to learn that I’ve got that whole dynamic kind of backwards. I adored Michael. My heart broke for him so many times throughout this story. Olivia’s childish inability to stand still and have a conversation left me so frustrated with her. Especially when she ran from Michael every chance she got and then blamed him for not being able to tell her things. It felt like the poor man couldn’t win no matter what he did. He was doomed if he did and doomed if he didn’t. (I realize that isn’t quite the right phrase but I’m attempting to evade the censor-bots.) In the end, I loved that we got to see them finally get their happy ever after and I’m interested to see what’s going to happen with the next couple. So Michael and Olivia are exes who run into each other at their friend’s wedding. They get very drunk on pickle juice and whiskey and they wake up the next morning married to each other. Olivia has big holdups because Michael wants children and she doesn’t know if she even wants any children. They decide to at least give the marriage a real try. So Michael and Olivia go on a honeymoon trip to Hawaii where Olivia learns Michael has a secret that factors into his life wants. Their story is very steamy, both of them are very stubborn and persistent. I was a bit confused about their previous relationship because one second it was like they had something serious and then it was like no it was basically sex and secrets. Simon and Fallon details made it seem like there was a book before this one about them. So that I’ll have to investigate that. But the book is worth reading. It’s a HEA and full of lots of dirty steaminess.

Since this was the fourth book in the Lovers’ Lane series, I was looking forward to “catching up” with the characters from the series.
Olivia and Michael had an office “romance” that ended when they each wanted different things. While attending Michael’s partner’s wedding in Vegas, Olivia and Michael reconnect. They end up with a typical “get-drunk-in-Vegas-’accidentally’-marry” story. They both profess that they love each other, but cannot seem to sit down and have an adult conversation about the miscommunications that occur between them. It’s not until two-thirds through the story that we find out that Michael has a secret that has kept him from being totally truthful with Olivia. I found this a bit disjointed from the rest of the story and felt the ending was a bit rushed. I am hopeful that the final version will be a bit smoother than the ARC copy I read.

I enjoyed this book. However, it took me a while to get through because sometimes it felt slower than the previous books in the series(ten chapters in and I was like where is this book going?) but I stuck it out because I love the characters in this world. Olivia and Michael’s story definitely had juicy bits and pieces I wasn’t expecting. The twist towards the end make me happy, angry, confused, and a bit sad. Briefly I went back to hating Michael like I did originally but that changed as he changed. I strongly recommend reading the books in order to get the full affect and understanding of the dynamics between each characters and why the bond is as strong and deep as it is with each other I’m not looking forward to Cody story because I don’t like Cody at all but Summer made me like Fallon so maybe I’ll like him eventually too

Michael and Olivia have been in a relationship and were falling in love, but when Michael starts talking about starting a family Olivia isn’t ready to take that next step so they split up. When they run into each other in Vegas while attending a mutual friend’s wedding they end up at the bar discussing their relationship over shots and get drunk. Well the usual thing that happens in Vegas does, they get married. Was it a mistake? Michael knew he wanted a future with Olivia and they ended up married, but he woke up the next morning and she was gone. Summer will keep you laughing with great romantic comedy. The chemistry is definitely there between Michael and Olivia but will a secret he is hiding come between them? Summer is a wonderful author that will always bring a smile to my face

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Another enjoyable romantic read from Summer Brooks. Olivia and Michael are exes. She loves him, but as he's older, his life priorities are different from hers and rather than feeling pressured, she broke it off. They are now both members of a wedding party for mutual friends in Las Vegas and make the mistake of getting drunk and married. In this case what happened in Vegas, definitely didn't stay there. Now Michael has to convince Olivia that their relationship is worth working for. And he offers her a trip to anywhere for their honeymoon, and she choses Hawaii. But, as their departure date counts down, Michael gets more antsy and is lying to Olivia about it. Because, Michael has history in Hawaii and he's sure when he tells Olivia about it, she'll never forgive him.

This was an enjoyable romantic novel. The story was original and interesting. Both the main male and the main female characters were relatable characters, as they had flaws and issues but they grew and matured and faced their hurdles. This was an ensemble cast and some of the characters we have met before in other novels in this series. I really enjoyed the past characters interacting with the two main male and female characters in this story. What I find appeals the most is the connections made and maintained by this group of friends.

This is the 4th book in this series and is Olivia and Michael’s story. These two have a history and worked together, and as neither could deny the explosive chemistry between them, Michael was at a stage in their relationship that he wanted more, and unfortunately Olivia was not on the same page and breaks up with him as well as quitting her job so she does not have to see him every day. Now in Vegas for a mutual friend’s wedding, they spend the night drinking and dancing, which leads to Olivia waking up the next morning married to her ex, which causes her to run back home. This is a well written story with amazing secondary character’s which led to a humorous and entertaining story. I recommend for all.
Okay so I enjoyed the majority of this book but I did find some of it a bit outrageous. How they broke up was one. I think if someone says they aren’t ready to have kids yet but you live them that much you would want to compromise. You live them so much you want drunkenly marry them and live your life with them no matter what that’s a love story I can get behind. But their earlier breakup seems totally different from their story. I did enjoy this sorry and I loved we got more from the other couples. But I did find aspects of the story that cane out of left field. I won’t add any spoilers to my review though. I’m glad we got Michael and Olivia’s story and overall I enjoyed the book.
Though this is another Vegas married mistake romance, it was a enjoyable cute story to read and review. This fourth story in this series is about Olivia and Michael. This story brings up the reason why they broke up the first time. From the previous books everyone is in Las Vegas for the marriage of Fallon and Simon’s wedding. Both Olivia and Michael get drunk at the reception and end up getting married. Olivia when she wakes up and realizes she's married, skedaddles and Michael chases her because he wants to give their marriage a chance. Can Michael persuade Olivia? Their path is a bumpy road but with the touches of humor and steamy romance this ARC via Bookspout was a delight to read.
Great story. Loved this book really wanted Michael & Olivia to be together & have a happy ever after but at times I felt like shouting at them to sort themselves out. Michael annoyed me a bit about his secret & I wonder if Olivia hadn't said about going to Hawaii would he have told her about it but I also got annoyed with him as I think she let him off lightly I'd have been giving him a right ear bashing & he'd be having to do a lot of grovelling before I would forgive him. This is a great story that once you start you cant put it down desperate for answers.

Marrying My Ex-Boyfriend By Summer Brooks Main Characters: Michael and Olivia I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 4 out of 5 stars These two are ex's who run into each other at a friend's wedding. They manage to get drunk and end up in Vegas. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there. Michael wants children and Olivia is in no hurry to have them. They wake up the morning after the wedding to find out they are married. Let the hi-jinks begin. I liked this story.

This book was fantastic! Summer Brooks hit a homerun with this one! Michael and Olivia were great characters. At her best friend's wedding, Olivia and her ex-boyfriend, Michael, started drinking pickle back shots. Many, many shots. The next morning, Olivia wakes up with a wedding band on not remembering anything. She high-tails it out of the hotel room putting much needed space between her and her new husband. Will Michael and Olivia be able to make a marriage work when they couldn't even stay in a relationship? Buckle yourself in for this hot, steamy, lol comedy that you will not be able to put down! I highly recommend this book!
Olivia and Michael had been lovers when she worked for his company. They broke up because he wanted children now and she didn’t.
They go separately to their friends wedding. While there Michael approaches Olivia in the bar during the reception. They start doing shots.
The next morning Olivia wakes up in his bed and finds out they are now married. How will they both react when sober? Do they love each other and can they make it work? How will Olivia react when she learns about Michael’s deep dark secret? You will have to read to find out!

Olivia and Michael love each other but wanted different things in their lives so broke up, then, after a very drunken night in Vegas they wake up married to each other. Olivia leaves and thinks they need to get an annulment but Michael wants to stay married. The book tells of their developing relationship, brings in various friends and uncovers secrets. There are some very hot scenes, a few laughs, some lovely characters and a happy ending. 3.5 stars from me

I really rate this prolific author highly... Yet another entertaining page turner from this remarkable author. A funny, sexy read & the second time this week I've read about pickle back shots, definitely not planning on experiencing those although what follows after one too many sounds very interesting indeed! Well written & crafted I won't go into the story itself but it was kind of crazy with some lovely tender caring & understanding. Not plain sailing with a curved ball of magnitude but true love wins out in the end, sigh! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
There is a heavy thread of humor, emotion, drama, tension and steam weave across the well written pages and had me chuckling, in need of a cool drink or wishing I could provide some of the characters with the firm kick they so desperately deserved. Olivia and Michael were a volatile pair and they spend a very large portion of their time together generating sparks by either fighting or......ahem, well you know. All in all I thought that this was a very enjoyable book. Looking forward to reading more books by this amazing author. Happy reading everyone!!
