I fell in love with Tory in Varsity Heartbreaker. And to be honest I kind of saw Hayden as almost a shadow of him, but only because he wasn’t as prominent a character and Tory was so in your face. He was hilarious and caring and such a great friend to Lucas and June and I just knew he would give great boyfriend. But he had so much going on in his life with the bomb of his parents relationship and I really had no idea how it was going to play out and how Hayden got all mixed into things.

I went into this story expecting all of the angst that a love triangle featuring two brothers could offer.

And - that's exactly what I got. In all of it's drama-filled, heart-wrenching, absolutely addictive glory.

Y'all - love triangles aren't even close to my favorite trope. I'm actually not an angst junkie. I always go in skeptical and with one foot out the door, ready to bail if my heart can't take it anymore. So just the fact that I make it to the end of the story is pretty amazing, but when

I love Tory D'Angelo. And Abby Cortez. And the rest of the cast of characters from Ginger Scott's latest, edgy, NA romance. This one surprised me a bit. It's a triangle of sorts that you don't expect because of the familiarity you have with the characters from book one. Abby Cortez seems like the put together, no holds barred girl but she's deeper and more thoughtful than that. The great about

Varsity Tiebreaker is the book I was looking forward to read since I’ve finished the first book of this young adult series, because I fell in love and I had so many feels for the hero already between those pages.

Tory D’Angelo is the star of his high school basketball team. He is a player and not only on the court, but he doesn’t show his true self to everyone.
Abby Cortez is a young actress. She is a student, a partier and a trophy that her parents tries to get after they divorced. But no one se

Varsity Tiebreaker is the second book in the Varsity series. I did not have much luck with the first book - Varsity Heartbreaker. But mama, didn't raise no quitter and I want to finish this series out even if my head begins to throb like Harry Potter when his scar begins to hurt.

This YA high school romance contains ~
🏀 A love triangle involving twin brothers
🏀 Cheating/OM drama
🏀 Family issues such as a controlling parent and divorce
🏀 Friends-to-lovers trope

So this is the 2nd book in this series. It follows Tory and Abby. I do recommend reading the 1st book because there are a lot of appearances from Lucas and June.
Just when Tory is about to confese his love to Abby, she walks in holding hands with his twin brother. Let the drama comence!
It was so good. A lot of good drama. I loved getting a look into Abby’s drama with her dad also. Great book!

“You are worth a thousand suns.”

Ginger Scott has such a wonderful way with words. In Varsity Heartbreaker, her latest young adult sensation, Scott perfectly captures the teen mind and heart with an accurate voice to her characters that feel real. With writing that is so intimate and engaging, I embarked on a long-term stay into the hero and heroines’ heads where their thoughts and feelings became mine. I felt every word of this forbidden friendship on fire tale.

A Rollercoaster Ride of emotions with secrets, Brotherhood, Forbidden feelings, A Tornado (scary!), Brewing love & A beautiful HEA! I admit, I cried a few times. Tory & Abby's genuineness is touching.
Loved them😍!

#My 1st read from Ginger & I just fell in love with her writing!

Tory was my favorite thing about the previous book in this series, so I was excited to read more about him. While I still liked him, I was disappointed in him for most of the book. You would think that with how upset he was with his mother for cheating, he would do a little better than cheating with his brother's girlfriend. I hate cheating and it really brought down my enjoyment of the book. I liked the family storylines a lot more than the romance and I wish there was more focus on that. I did ...more

Tory and Abby were everything! I started this book last night and woke up early to finish it! Miss Scott is definitely the queen of YA! I barely read this kind of books, but her words just suck me right in! I need book 3!

Not going to lie... I was both excited and scared going into this one. I am not a fan of love triangles, and one involving twin brothers made me nervous. The only reasons I read it were I loved Tory in Varsity Heartbreaker and it was Ginger Scott's book. Ginger Scott never does me wrong.

Varsity Tiebreaker was exactly what I needed it to be. Yes, there's the whole Hayden - Abby - Tory thing, but it was done

Varsity Tiebreaker is the second book in the Varsity series and I was so excited to read Tory's book! Tory was an amazing character in the first book, so I was counting the days until I could read his story and Ginger Scott never disappoints.
Tory was even more amazing than I thought he would be, he was sweet, funny, cocky, sexy and he was trying so hard to do the right thing. Abby surprised me, I though I wasn't going to like her as much as I did, but this girl was strong, funny, smar

Varsity Tiebreaker is the second book in the Varsity series, but still reads as a standalone. Characters from the first book are in this one though. I have to say after reading the first one, I wasn’t sure Tory and Abby had it in them to be in a serious relationship. Consider me shocked; these two were great together.

Tory finally gets up the nerve to ask Abby out after lots of flirting but she walks in holding hands with his twin brother, Hayden. There is obviously a love triangle,

Tory D’Angelo seemingly had it all and a bright future ahead of him. Abby Cortez was on the brink of stardom and beautiful, she had the world at her feet. Yet underneath their popular charming exteriors Tori and Abby struggled with wanting to be seen for who they really were and to be free of the family burdens they carried on their shoulders. What should have been a simple attraction took on the needs of others, causing Tori and Abby to put what they really wanted aside only to explode in an em ...more

Books like this are why Ginger Scott will always be a one click author for me!!

I was so excited when I got to the end of book 1 to learn that we’d get Tory & Abby’s story and this book did not disappoint.

It’s the kind of realistic mature YA storytelling that had my heart pounding and my eyes filling with tears. Abby & Tory have a complicated relationship and there were moments I wanted to shake them, then wanted to hug them, then shake them again. Their connection, their banter, their chemistr

Wow, I really loved this book! I liked book one a lot, but this one was even better. Varsity Tiebreaker features the story of Tory and Abby, both strong side characters we meet in book one, Varsity Heartbreaker. To be honest, I didn't like Abby a whole lot in book one. I thought she was sort of snarky and wasn't sure how much of a real friend she was to June. Well, now that I've gotten inside her head, I absolutely love her! I feel connected to her family issues, and that made it so real, in suc ...more

I loved Tory in Varsity Heartbreaker and fell more in love with him in Varsity Tiebreaker! Tory is all about flirting, basketball, and being funny instead of letting his emotions out to anyone especially since his life has be flipped upside down recently. While Abby is all about being upfront and saying it how it is while working toward her goal of stardom, these two constantly go at each other. That is until things start to change when Tory starts be around Abby more now and that friendship sta ...more

I was so team Tory since Varsity Heartbreaker.

When Ginger Scott pulled out this storyline about Abby dating his twin, Hayden with Tory acknowledging his feelings and I was scared about a love triangle that would give me whiplash. But it wasn’t. Actually it was more than this, a senior year for the main characters filled with angst and drama related to their age, expectations about their future and dealing with their fami

As a long-time fan of Author Ginger Scott’s writing, I’m never surprised by how much I enjoy her novels. Varsity Tiebreaker is the second book in a series, however, it is can be read as a standalone novel.

Tiebreaker is Tory D’Angelo and Abby Cortez’s story. They have had a love-hate relationship through much of high school, but in their senior year, the air shifts and they suddenly view each other in a new light. Both of these characters present themselves as the cool kid who everyone else wish

This series is just another example of why I love Ginger Scott! She is my go-to author for fabulous YA romance. Her characters are real with real life struggles. She has mastered the balance of navigating that age where they’re not kids anymore, but not quite old enough to be considered adults.

My first Ginger Scott book was Varsity Heartbreaker where we were first introduced to Tory, Hayden, and Abby! This book has all the feels that a love triangle should provide. The kicker though: it’s brothers vying for the same girl.

I fell in love with story in this one! There was very evident chemistry between him and Abby, and you couldn’t help but want to see them together. Tory found a soft spot in my heart when he protected Abby at the school at the basketball game where chaos erupted.

Varsity Tiebreaker is not only the first from this series but also from this author that I have read. I loved the story of Tory and Abby, with all the emotions you find with teenagers going through tough times while in school. I look forward to reading more from this series as well as from the author.
2.5* - Not really keen on the theme of a lurve triangle with om, especially when it bro v bro but having said that it was a pretty decent read. I picked up a couple of typos like 'long gape', which I assume meant 'long gaze' otherwise that sentence makes zero sense. It only happened a few times but goes to show how little it takes to shake a reader out of the world the author is trying to weave. Not liking that. ...more
