Misogynist A$$holes Need Not Apply
Lilah McClure, and her cousins Daphne and Wren and her mate Xenon are crossing mountains to get to a mystical place, called the Island of the Standing Stones, on the other side that COULD take them back to Earth. Kappies, who are the minions of a evil dark fae, named Luzzeh Full, follow them up the mountain. The Kappies have attacked them before so the group tries to hide in a cave, but are taken captive by the mountain fae, the Citogen. As a lawyer, Lilah feels certain she can negotiate their freedom - until she finds out that as a WOMAN she's not allowed to speak to the king!
Ferrus is the prince of the Citogen, (but don't tell Lilah) fae who live in a volcanic mountain, with the power to manipulate rock and metal. As soon as Ferrus sees Lilah he and his inner dragon know she's theirs, but with the laws the way they are, he can't let anyone know. If he does, she could be killed. He has to convince his father to reverse the law banning mates, and his second in command seems to have his sights on his position.
If you haven't read the previous books in this series, this book won't make as much sense. This is book six of The Crystal Kingdom series.
