The first third of the book was fine. But as I kept reading, fine was not.
Deacon and Mia didn’t turn out to be loveable or even likeable characters.
Deacon was by far a mega arsehole and his games towards Mia crossed every limit. Mia’s snobbish attitude was not pleasant in the least and she was driven by her lust making her limp and spineless.
I am still wondering what did they find in each other as to fall in love!!!
I honestly struggled to finish this torturous story....

This was my first read by Tracy Lorraine and Angel Devlin. Was I blown away? Unfortunately, no.
When I started reading this book I was kinda excited. It was obvious that Deacon was a total douchebag, and I love douchebags. But I couldn't connect with the characters. It just felt off. I thought of not finishing the book but kinda felt bad, so I decided to give it a shot.
Deacon was an asshole who had this insane idea to avenge his father by ruining Mia's life. It made me curious to know the reason why and how. Mia was a rich girl who wanted to pave her own way, so she and her best friend decided to do a reality TV show. And that's when she meets Deacon.
I was not a big fan of Mia cause she was spineless. She kept saying that she will never fall under Deacon's spell but the next thing you know she's on her knees for him. Like for real . She was a bit of a pushover, letting her lust for Deacon cloud her judgments. I love my heroine strong and Mia did not live up to that.
Although I was not a huge fan of this book, I would definitely read another of their work.

Tracy Lorraine and Angel Devlin are blowing up my readers list with hit after hit. I absolutely loved this book. Torment is dirty, toxic and addictive. Every page has me glued to the story like a crazed fan.
Deacon King is the stuff of wet dreams. He’s rich, successful and a complete ass****. When he wants something he gets it. His celebrity magazine B.A.D is in the running for best men’s read. He literally can’t do no wrong. That is until Mia.
Mia is a good girl. Rich, loving family and dreams of being famous are some of her qualities. She sees right through Deacons games, but he’s willing to do anything to get her to play. Mia’s career is taking off and she’s on B.A.D’s radar.
Deacon is about to take Mia for the ultimate ride but the end game might be more than either of them expect.
Torment is so much more than I can possibly share. Revenge can be sweet but there is a drug even sweeter.
This book is fantastic. I have the highest praises and I can’t wait for what the girls come up with next. If you like dark romance this is for you.

I have mixed feelings for this book. It was engaging and I was eager to find out how everything was going to work out, but unfortunately some aspects were lacking. The storyline has great potential, but I felt it was built up to be this huge revenge plot, only to be let down severely when the plan was revealed and hurt the unintended person.
Ugh Deacon, he has a bit of an antihero vibe going but unfortunately it completely missed the mark for me by the demeaning we he treats women. Throughout most of the book, he is uncaring and an asshole but then when faced with losing Mia, he automatically turns into this sweet and caring man.
Mia is very naïve as to Deacon’s true purpose. I love a strong heroine and she just didn’t live up to that. She was a bit of a push over, letting her lust for Deacon to cloud her judgments.
Overall, the writing was good. As I said, it was good enough to hold my attention and read almost the whole book in one sitting. The plot was a great idea but wasn’t as developed as I would have liked. The supporting characters were a little flat, and I couldn’t quite connect with them and they didn’t leave any lasting effects on me.

"Deacon King is the King of Darkness.
Deacon King and Mia Hamilton hoax romance brings a different flavour in Enemies to Lovers plot. Which given away by the title. Deacon is your typical Alpha arsehole he blackmailed, manipulates and concocted a revenge plan for Mia to make her fell in love with him the ultimate payback how OG, but what happens if your plan come back and bite your in the arse???
As for Mia I did not expect her to backfired after what had happened, I did expect her to just dissappear, that's why I admire her strength, even her action was a bit petty still she did not do self pity or allow herself to be looked down, to qoute Mia's word "I never said I'm a good girl"
I genuinely enjoyed this, I think the writing was good and just enough to hold my attention. Definitely isn't a perfect book by all means, it had some weak moments. Characterization wise effective, I don't think I've ever read a social media influencer heroine before, so the story was a bit refreshing and exciting atleast for me.

I can't remember the last time I internally kept telling a character to walk away, run even, with such frequency. Her willpower is practically non-existent. Deacon is all sorts of bad news but Mia can't seem to help herself. Waiting for the other shoe to drop is pure torture. Holy cow! When it does, it's like a tornado, hurricane, and tsunami all hit at the same time. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

When Deacon King interviews Park Lane Princess, Mia Hamilton, he has no way of knowing how important she will become to him, in more ways than one.
Mia is trying to find a way to become more than just some spoiled princess living off her parents' money. When Deacon interviews her, she's trying hard not to let herself be impressed with this arrogant, commanding man. She knows better than to give into his charm, but sometimes the body just cannot help itself. If only she had known how ensnared in his devious intentions she'd become when she gave into him.
I gotta say this right off the bat, I almost DNFd during the first couple chapters because Deacon is the very definition of sleazy douchebag in them. But I stuck it out and I'm glad I did because the story got better and so did he. I never fell in love with him, but I could see why he was the way he was and could give him a pass. I liked Mia, though, and the story itself is really intriguing and entertaining. Not only is it seriously sexy and the chemistry between the two is off the charts hot, but all the secrets and the emotions roiling around made for some fascinating reading.

Torment was a complete hit for me! I was absolutely immersed in this new world of english royalty and assholes seeking revenge. Deacon was very dreamy, super steamy and although I was pissed at him for the incredibly insane plan he had to get his revenge on a certain someone, I was completely enamored with this bad boy. I loved watching him second guess his moves every second of the way.
Mia was a money princess who wanted more out of her life but got suckered into all the negatives of the spotlight. Deacon was her light in the middle of all the darkness but in truth she had no idea who he was and how much he was at fault for her miserable and current living situation.
One thing that I was kind of dissapointed with was the big blow up. I feel like the leadup to the big revelation was pretty good but then the moment of the blow up itself felt lacking and everything after was a bit weird. I still liked it but the whole Deacon melt down was just a weird and in my opinion Mia should have made him work for it harder after all the stunts he pullled.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this book and intro to this new series, I have a feeling I'm gonna enjoying these bad boys quite a bit and I cann't wait to get more. Deacon was a true asshole who in the end grew a pretty big heart. Sometimes it just takes the right woman and Mia was his from the moment they met.

I don’t really know how to review this book because to be honest I didn’t like it all.
The storyline was disturbing and confusing, the authors tried to hard making the hero a complete cold hearted arsehole with clearly trust issues but his behaviour and his thoughts are just repulsing .
Deacon has major problems with the way he treats women and on several occasions he treats them with such disrespect that it’s very hard to follow the story without questioning what the authors were thinking when they gave him so repugnant behaviour. The answer to his behaviour is the so overused excuse ;the relationship with his father.Really ?
And the heroine ? Mia has zero self respect and how can she really be attracted to someone that treats her so badly ?
Please don’t give me the whole speech that it’s hate to lovers because it’s not ( and yes I know it’s fiction ) .
Several times while reading I just wanted to put the book down and stop reading but a passage that really got me cold was :
“But equally, Mia gets drunker and drunker. That can only work in my favour. “
Well , hello date rape , do we really want this kind of reading in 2020 ? The whole me too movement seems so far away while reading this kind of qualities and behaviour in men and women falling for this that it makes me sick .
This is the first book in the series B.A.D. Inc unfortunately even the side characters are boring and don’t contribute to the story enough to make me at least curious to read the next book in the series . So a big no to this book !

Estuvo entretenido, pero Deacon es un completo desgraciado desde el principio con Mia. Y era tipo “ya sabemos que tienes el ego por las nubes, ahora siéntate”. Además, que yo esperaba que él sufriera un poco más al final por lo que le hizo, se lo merecía.

TORMENT was my first read from this two authors. By Tracy Lorraine I have read another 2 books, so I was familiar with her style. From author Angel Devlin this is my first read.
TORMENT is the first book in B.A.D Inc series, tells the story of Deacon and Mia and it's written in dual POV.
Deacon is the big bad wolf of B. A. D Inc, he is thw boos, he ia rich, sexy, alpha and hot. He is BAD. He is the fuck'em & leave 'em type. He always gets what he wants.
Mia is the insta queen, the idol, the model. Her mother is a former beauty queen and her father was a faimous rock star who died when she was a baby. She grew up in wealth and luxury. She always had what she wished. Now she wants to be independent financially and make a name for herself, be faimous on her own, not because of her parents. So she dicides to start in a reality show.
Why am I giving it only 4 stars?
All of us love the bad guy, the a$$hole, the mean one, but Deacon was the meanest of all. I don't think I ever meat a character so mean and ugly (at character) as Deacon. I couldn't connect with him.
For me Mia was a little to weak. I wanted her much stronger, with some backbone. She had sass and sarcasm in her, but every time Deacon put his hands on her, she was on her knees at his back and call.
I realy can't wait to read the next boiks in this series about the others members of B. A. D Inc

4 Star Review of Torment (B.A.D. Inc #1) by Angel Devlin & Tracy Lorraine
Having read a few books by this writing duo, I was excited to learn about B.A.D. Inc and jumped at the chance to read and review Torment, book one in their new series
Deacon King is so smoking hot and so alpha it almost hurts. There were times that I loved him and times when I hated him, in fact I wasn’t sure which side would win out but ultimately I fell for him hook, line and sinker. Mia, initially comes off as a spoiled rich girl, but underneath it all lies a compassionate and caring women who quickly grew on me.
This was a story that I quickly became invested in. Torment was a story with sizzling passion, drama and suspense that drew me in and refused to let me go. There was just enough drama and heat to without going over the top which added to my overall enjoyment of the story and I look forward to reading more in the series.
Having read a few books by this writing duo, I was excited to learn about B.A.D. Inc and jumped at the chance to read and review Torment, book one in their new series
Deacon King is so smoking hot and so alpha it almost hurts. There were times that I loved him and times when I hated him, in fact I wasn’t sure which side would win out but ultimately I fell for him hook, line and sinker. Mia, initially comes off as a spoiled rich girl, but underneath it all lies a compassionate and caring women who quickly grew on me.

Wow - if there was ever a book that lived up to it's name it is this book. Torment will keep the readers felling tormented on so many levels. The pull and pull of the cocky and self absorbed alpha-male Deacon to the good girl who seems to be so misunderstood Mia. From the moment they meet each other the rich and powerful Deacon decides Mia is his next mark and he will do anything to build her up and then destroy her. But when revenge leaves a bitter taste in his mouth will hope prevail? Can you annihilate the enemy and still remain in good graces with those you walked all over to accomplish your goal? From the minute I started this book to the very last page, I was taken on a wild ride that I did not want to get off. Simply put - you need to read this book!!

Deacon King is the biggest alpha a-hole I have ever met and I loved him! I think people are going to love to hate this man, I know I did.
We had a sneak peek of Deacon King in the last Daddy book by Angel and Tracy and I couldn’t wait to read more of him after that. He’s dark and arrogant and he doesn’t give a damn about anyone. Then he meets Mia!
I couldn’t put this book down so many things left me speechless, and I cannot wait to meet the other men of B.A.D. inc!

It's full of downright dirty sex as well as downright dirty tactics from Deacon King who openly admits to being a fully fledged member of the AA club aka ALPHA ASSHOLE Club, while Mia is sweet, innocent, naive and at times a total princess!
What follows is a story that could easily be based on a reality tv series, if they had dark, twisted and characters that knew no limits when it comes to getting what they want.
Absolutely brilliant and can't wait for book 2 to see how things progress!!

Deacon starts out with a game for tit for tat by lying and using Mia's (FMC) feelings against her but in doing so it becomes something more. The fallout of which hurts more people than the intended target. The more i read this story the more i wanted Deacon to not go through with his plan but when it kicked off i really wanted Mia to make him pay. Even though part of me thinks enough was done to him as payback. Thats only my thoughts though. I really liked Mia's amd Deacon's book. Im happy with the ending it got too. A good read

Well damn, Torment was not what I was expecting. But I was captivated by Tracy and Angel's words. It was dark, intense, steamy, mysterious and the characters are loveable. The story line blew my mind! I can't wait to read RIDE and hopefully see more of Deacon & Mia.

Ick. He did this big awful thing to her. Like, awful. And there should Have been a ton of groveling for forgiveness. What happens? His friend is like, you should go to him, AND SHE DOES. And then they break up as if they were even still together. And then they hook up. The MAKE UP SEX IS FADE TO BLACK! And then she saves him and they hook up again. And all her support network was like, if you love him, be with him. It was WEAK. And for all his alpha arseholeness I wasn’t that convinced he really was an alpha.

If there ever was a character were you can say I loved to hate him and hated to love him, it would be Deacon ass-hole King
Deacon King is ruthless, a rich alpha dominant male with a dirty mouth, he's a love em and chuck em kind of guy with a kinky side, he's a game player who only has a close circle of trusted friends and to those outside that circle they only see what he wants them to see.
Deacon King also has a devious side and not only does he set out to ensure Mia falls in love with him but also has every intention of ruining her and for what? Mia was merely a pawn in his game, one he intended on winning in his devious game of revenge against someone Mia cared for.
What wasn't supposed to happen is Deacon King falling in love too.
Torment is yet another hot page-turner by this brilliant duo of authors, it will have you all kinds of angry and frustrated with the characters while your fanning yourself at the hotness all at the same time.
Great start to a new series, I wanted more backstory on Deacon's group of friends who met in university, and who now treat each other as family and support each other, there wasn't enough of that but hopefully there will be in the next book in the series, just to get a better idea and understanding of the characters and the dynamics in their relationships. I first learned of Deacon at the end of Scott's book, his brother in the hot daddy's series but each book can be read as a standalone and this is a new interesting hot series that has me wanting to know more about B.A.D inc.

This is the first book that I've read by these author and oh my, what a book. I though it was written great. Reading this book holds your attention and keeps you wanting more. I'm so glad to have discovered more new authors that know how to make the world and characters feel so real that you feel everything.

Deacon is the badist guy with capital B.A.D. He is very hot, sexy steamy sort of guy and he is totally rich with a big ego to go along with it. He's one of those men that always get there own way and knows how to get what he wants. He just wants revenge this is all he cares about and he doesn't care who he hurts along the way to get his revenge its all he wants and he knows just how to get it.
Mia is rich and spoilt girl but she also has dreams too.
Mia with such a beautiful name and is the opposite of Deacon but when he has her in his eye line there is no going back. What Mia actually didn't realise was that he was the cause of some of her problems and he just wants to make her pay.
Can he be forgiven?

These two characters have such a connection that that the pull between them both was very intense. They both had a lot, a lot of chemistry between them both and this book gets very steamy. I really felt for Mia at times but underneath these two do have a heart. Seeing the journey that these two take is so intense that you cant take your eyes of it.
At first I didn't like Deaon and his total bad ass image and he's just so full of hate but also I didn't think I was going to like Mia and he spoilt ass image. But when you look deeper into this story some things are not as they seem. These authors have written a fabulous book and its a real stand out must read.
This book is full of drama, lies, torment, love and hate and will have your emotions all over the place. This book is a real dark romance that will captivate your mind and hold it hostage until you finish this book. You will be hooked.

Torment by Tracy Lorraine & Angel Devlin is the first book in the (B A.D. Inc) series. It looks at the characters Deacon and Mia. Mia is a Park Lane princess, a young woman who has a lot of money but wants to establish herself away from her late father’s money, to do that she has to take part in a reality show and get through an interview with Deacon King, part owner of B.A.D Inc. and the person who is left in charge of interviewing Mia. Deacon is a certifiable fraud, in the fact that he plays on people’s emotions whilst wearing a mask. Straight away he is intrigued by Mia, but when he finds out that she is connected to someone from his past who he hates, Mia is fair games and he is going to go to any lengths to make sure that Mia is in the crossfire!
This read was a certifiable page-turner. Not only do we have a great character in Mia who although has a good life, is trying to be independent. We have this arrogant and often cruel character of Deacon. There is a lot of interplay between the two where Deacon ropes Mia into playing his game. Mia being the nice girl that she is plays but is also intrigued and finds something about Deacon very hot. Deacon is the ultimate bad boy and even though you understand why he does the things he does, there was a tiny bit of me that still didn’t feel that his treatment of Mia was justified. He literally ruined her! Secondary characters such as the other people in B.A.D. Inc. we’re intriguing and the woman that Mia lived with and was her supposed ‘best friend’ you just wanted to give a quick slap too as she was really selfish and immature.
This book had lots of twist and turns and we see through both characters eyes in the duel POV’s. There were some really steamy scenes with Deacon and Mia, but also some really charming scenes where it seemed as though both of the characters let their hair down with each other and were just open and honest.
Does deacon redeem himself? Well, you’re just going to have to read the book and enjoy the ride!

I absolutely loved this story. From the very first chapter I was hooked and I flew through reading this book, being unable to put it down.
Deacon King. You really need to meet this guy. He’s sexy, successful and has a reputation that would have mothers everywhere warning their daughters to stay away from him. When he wants something, he gets it and nothing will stand in his way. His reputation is well known but that doesn’t stop the women falling at his feet or down on their knees…... and I totally get why!
Mia has had everything she could possibly want and need growing up, but now she wants to make a name for herself and I loved that she wanted to succeed in life through her own hard work and not because of the privileges she was born with. She’s young, naïve and there were so many times I wanted to scream at her to wake up and smell the coffee. However, the transformation of Mia as the story progresses had me in her corner and if I could have given her a high five at times, I would have!
What a ride this story has been. The chemistry between Deacon and Mia is undeniable. The twists and turns in the story will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Both main characters absolutely intrigued me, and I loved how their story transpired.
What an amazing start to this series. Torment gets a 5-star rating and a huge recommendation from me for you to read this book. The supporting characters in Deacon and Mia’s story added to the story perfectly and are people that I definitely need to know more about. I was lucky enough to get an Arc of this book for a bookstagram tour, and let me just I am so GLAD I did!! Tracy Lorraine and Angel Devlin killed it with this book! Torment was hot, steamy, addicting, and dark.
Deacon is the bad boy that you dream about. He is the guy you know you should stay clear of instead of developing feelings for. Deacon is the typical rich asshole who takes what he wants and he always gets what he wants. This time things have changed and to get what he wants might become more of a challenge than he thought. Deacon definitely drew me in.
Mia is the typical spoiled rich girl, but she has a soft, compassionate side to her. She may have some flaws about her but she tries to be different. She is feisty and strong. She may think she is immune to Deacon's plays, but she has another thing coming to her. I liked Mia, I didn't think she was as bad as she was portrayed sometimes.
The connection between these two is fire! There is a spark between Mia and Deacon and every time they are around each other, it becomes hot and sexy instantly. This book was such a good dark romance, that has you wanting more and more. This book holds true to that when you think you want one thing, life can change and you want something else.

I loved this book. I LOVED how much of an alphahole Deacon is. I know that is all sorts of wrong in real life, but I love to read it and I won’t apologize. He’s written very well and I enjoyed every moment in his head. Here’s one of my many reading highlights:
She continues pulling pink fluff from her bag and stuffing it into her mouth, temptingly licking her lips every few minutes. I know from her sly glances that she’s doing it on purpose. It amuses me that she thinks she’s playing me right now. Princess, you can’t play the man who makes the rules.
This is pretty mild is comparison with some of the other things he says and thinks, but I just loved that part! His cocky attitude really shines in this story. You want to throttle him one moment and in the next moment you’re all heart eyes emoji at him.
I also enjoyed Mia as a character. She is a bit spoiled, naive, and trusting, but yowza she can also hold her own and does so when it truly matters. I thought the plot line for her being Insta-famous and an up and coming reality tv star was interesting and made for some good other plot drama that added to the story.
Overall well done and I’m looking forward to reading the next guy’s story, especially after that ending! Yikes!

TORMENT by Tracy Lorraine is the First book in the B.A.D. Inc. Series. This is the story of Deacon King and Mia Hamilton. Mia is known as a social light and part of the spoiled rich world...a princess. But really Mia is more than that and is wanting to make a name for herself by herself. Mia is a sweet young innocent women who is just trying to be more than what people think. Deacon is one of the founders of B.A.D who is totally different from Mia. But when he sees her and learns who she is, he finds that he needs to use her for his revenge goals. Of course Mia is swept into this which of course causes her to break but then we see herself start to build herself back up strong and better than ever. Deacon starts to find that he may have misjudge his feels and what he has lost.
If you like me like a alpha who is very hard to like then this book is for you too. Loved this.
