Xavier Blackwood is the man every girl at my college dreams about at night, myself included, but I'd never let anyone know that.

Standing at 6'8 with steel grey eyes, he's a walking dream, but he's also a world-renowned jerk.

Who would have thought that one night, after dragging myself home after doing double shifts at the diner, I'd be jumped by three men...only to have Xav

This book should have had a “Young Adult” warning, because I wouldn’t have picked it up if I knew that from the start.

I didn’t like the used language, maybe I am too old. But calling my best friend “bitch” as her pet name just sounds silly to me, without any incident prompting it.
What kind of writing style is that to put statements in brackets?
There is no calmness in the writing.
We start with her first day at school, to suddenly find ourselves in the middle of the library days later, to suddenl

After the mixed reviews for this book I decided to skip it and read the Bloodmoon Wars instead. After the bumpy start I enjoyed it which brought me back to Luna Rising.
The books are short and on KU so I figured why not?

I had the same problems here that I had with Elinor in The Awakening. Ruby was annoying and very immature at times. But Elinor grew on me so I’m hoping Ruby does too.

The story was enough to keep my interest so fingers crossed I’m going in.

“It’s been years since a human was condemned to death because they’ve learned of our secret. My father isn’t going to be pleased that his son, a pure blood and Alpha-to-be for our pack, lost his cool. Now a smart-mouthed human girl who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time would have to die.” - Xavier

Nope. Just nope.

I knew from the beginning when it’s her first day of college and she is talking to another girl in the Library and she says her major is Law and then the girl she’s talking to says, “where is your first class?” And the MC replies, “ In the Law Building”.
A freshman.
On her first day.
Her first class.
Seriously?

The writing was all over the place. Time pacing was inconsistent and the overall plot was just too immature.

I gave it 30 more pages and it didn’t get better.

I’m out.

There is something about the story I like somewhat, but it has tense and other editing issues, and is too fast-paced and too short for my tastes. I ended up skimming at some point, and may skim through more in the series to see what happens, but definitely rating as just okay.

Interesting but I had no idea they were all novellas... i like the characters but they're all so short it will probably take the entire series for actual depth to happen. Makes me wonder why they all weren't just published as a book. ...more

This wasn't bad actually! Based off the description I knew this would be a wild ride, and I wasn't disappointed. I picked this one up on a dollar deal offer and for that price, I got a good amount of enjoyment out of it. The characters were all pretty basic, and the storyline wasn't anything new, but it was entertaining. I think my biggest complaint is leaving the book off on such a cliffhanger, especially after being so short. Why not combine that whole storyline into one succinct

Meh

It's a promising start but it just drags on and on and when is she going turn to a wolf? Sorry but it didn't do it for me. Far too slow.

Enjoyed

I really enjoyed this book. One fault is that they gloss over her past. It’s bad, but what gives her her strength and fire? What makes her not want boys at the beginning? Where does her scar come from? Why did she just pack up and go like she has no family ties or friends?

Seeing auras was one of my gifts, and I had been drawn to hers from the moment I saw her. Pure white auras like Ruby’s were rare. Very rare.

Oh crud , it’s short

I was reading along and all of a sudden I had an “oh shit” moment when it ended after 130 pages. I though I had Accidentally just ordered the sample, but no, it’s just short.

Apart from that, I loved the story!! It jumps right it! She starts college, and within the first two days she is attacked in an alley by three guys and Xavier saves her. The probables is she isn’t supposed to know about wolves. She goes to live with Xavier and the pack, and that is where the trouble sta

Wanted A Little More

This read was just OK for me. I really wanted a school setting however only a minute portion of the book was set in the college. I really liked Natalie, Ruby the MCs friend, but Ruby and Xavier's personalities weren't consistent enough for me to connect with. In the beginning the dialogue and reactions didn't feel authentic but this improved further along in the book. The various types of supernaturals and the conflict were somewhat intriguing as well as the mystery behind Ru

Oh my ...

Ruby just wants to focus on school and that means no boys. Or so she thought.
Xavier is determined to find her, no matter what.
Will they find the answers and plan the rescue in time?

Great start

Loved the start of this series. Hoping the rest of the books will be just as good. Well written and an interesting twist to fated mates.

I really don't know why I picked this up, but here I am. There's a lot of writing errors, some basic stuff like a word repeated ("the the") and I always have a problem with the soulmate-thingy since it's 1. the most extreme form of insta-love and
2. often used as a solution to every problem the characters face. "Oh, this dude did or said something really problematic BUT he's my mate so I guess we'll move past that without even having a discussion about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

With that being said, the books

Short read but good!

Mysterious beginning, strange new world of supernaturals, missing past and a strong complicated future alpha. Me like! Xavier is yummy! Ruby is ok but her tough girl act in a cave cell was ridiculous. The second alpha who is supposedly her mate (dislike him so much that I can't remember his name) needs to go. I don't like triangles or harems.

What is this drivel??

How there are so many complimentary reviews on this one is beyond me. There are so many contradictions in both situation and sentence structure. There are a few instances of third person tense (whereas the rest is first person present). There are numerous instances of sentences one after another that literally mean the exact same thing, just using different words. And then we have no transitions between paragraphs. She’s talking about one thing and then BAM! Moving on to som

No. Just no. It reads like bad Twilight fanfiction.

The initial story was interesting in concept and poorly executed. The plot was intriguing for about two chapters. It reads like bad Twilight fanfiction and nothing will convince me that it's not . The two male love interest, Axel and Xavier? Absolutely Jacob and Edward. The bubbly cousin, who just happens to know things and is super special compared to everybody else in the pack, Natalie? She is 100% Alice. And the beta, whose name I cannot rem

When Ruby is jumped while walking home one night, Xavier, her friend's cousin comes to her rescue. Only, instead of fighting off her attackers like a human, he transforms into a werewolf.  Which, in their world is a huge no-no. Human's are forbidden to know about the werewolves existence. So, Ruby gets locked up at Xavier's pack estate where she awaits her fate. Only, she has no clue that Xavier has imprinted on her and that she is his mate. Needless to say, her world will never be the same.

I received a free copy of this in exchange for a review, and I am reviewing this willingly.

I enjoyed the story, even if it was very short - this was 130 quick pages.
While I agree with other reviews that Ruby was hard to love at times, I also tried to remember that she's a young adult - this book so be categorized in the "New Adult" genre, and that young college kids aren't always the most eloquent.

Someone else had complained about language of the characters, and how it was different with how

This story is the first in a YA paranormal fantasy series. It stars new college student named Ruby. She's on her own and hoping that college will better her life. She meets a potential new friend in Natalie.

She's only in school for two days before she is attacked leaving her job at a diner and saved by Xavier Blackwood. She'd seen him around campus and would have been attracted to him if he wasn't so sure of himself. Besides, school is her priority. Boys are a very distant second.

She wakes up a

„Luna Rising“ by Sara Snow, is the first installment of a new urban fantasy series by the same name, that offers a sassy main character dealing with the consequences of being at the wrong moment and place.

Ruby Saunders is a college student, fully aware of the propitious situation she is in, she has made it to college against bad grades odds on a scholarship that still forces to work into a dinner, and is she is determined to do everything humanly possible to keep her grades and with them her tui

I really enjoyed this book. Although the only downfall for me personally is that these books are very short. I believe there is so much more that we could have been given In each chapter (hence only 4 stars). It is a quick read I have read the first 3 books in this series in less than 12 hours (reviewing them all before I continue on with the series). There are a lot of differences in this series than in other werewolf fantasy novels I have read which I believe DOES help the book in some ways as ...more

Disappointing& fractured

From reading the reviews I thought I was going to love this. I, unfortunately,  didn't. I don't usually leave reviews like this but I felt the need to with this one.

The FMC is in college? So 18? Just moved into town, got a job and an apartment on day 1. Two weeks later she was locking up the diner?

A knife slipped from her hand, but never mentioned picking one up.

Xavier stood up and left the room. He was already standing. She spoke about how she had to tilt her head to

Luna Rising: Luna Rising #1

This is an ok read. It's a bit on the slow side and repetitive.😕
Ruby has had a tough life (no details given yet), she's basically raised herself. She feels that any time something starts to right for her life turns around & kicks her harder, she feels cursed!😔 Having got a into college she hopes things will turn around especially when she finds a small apartment & a job within days. She also makes a friend

Luna Rising is a very perplexing book. At first, I was thrilled with the heroine. She wasn't going to take shit from anybody and I love that. And then she undermined herself. Those guys who she called out for catcalling? Maybe she was a bit too mean. The hero witnesses three men attempt to rape her? God, that must have been so traumatic FOR HIM. She might die? Again, how terrible FOR HIM.

And then there's him, swanning around, being all brooding, and moaning that she isn't sufficiently grateful

Honesty

I like to start on a positive note. The story line of the book Luna Rising is fantastic. The story is fast pace and definitely keeps your intention. Why I gave this book only three stars because there is hardly any romance. This book is supposedly for 17+ because of cursing and violence but the book is missing the best part of starting a relationship. Even if you went a little further and made it an enmeny to lovers romance it still would have given it more of the elements it needed . Tak
