"You're mine."

Trusting Skylar is the first book in the Silverstone Series. Once again, Susan Stoker has created a world of alpha men who fight for the good of the world and the beautiful women that they are called to protect. Carson “Bull” Rhodes has been out of the dating scene for quite a while. He and his friends have found a way to continue their military work off the grid and they are using their towing company as a cover. After a dangerous mission, Bull meets a beautiful woman named Sk

I miss Miss Stoker's book. It has been a while since I picked up her work. Her romance story usually involving a alpha male heroes with miltary background. His writing is sweet, tender with enough boldness.

Trusting Skylar is small town military romance. You can read the summary on the blurp. What I can say is I am smitten with Carson and Skylar chemistry. They both so adorable together. Their first meet got me hook on the story.

What a perfect book to close my weekend.

I love the we are getting another team to fall in love with. I'm such a fan of Susan Stoker's heroes. Trusting Skylar was like an adorable love story with some serious and a bit of dark content. You wouldn't think that those two would go together, but I find that this author is really good at this kind of romance.

The adorable love story is more about how the heroine, Skylar is a kindergarten teacher who has somewhat of a charmed life and just sees the good in people. She goes above and beyond fo

Ah guilty pleasure time. Sometimes I love to escape into a story where a no messing alpha sees what he wants and single-mindedly goes after her.

In real life this would be classic stage five clinger behaviour, but it's so easy to get lost in this story and not be weirded out by the guy publicly declaring his intentions as he picks her up for their first date.

And I have a few unresolved questions about just how a tow truck company can turn such a tidy profit, but, yeah, details.

I loved the feels

Their jobs are dangerous, but so is falling in love. When you have something to lose, risking it all suddenly becomes something more than a given. As good as they are at saving lives, the men of Silverstone are equally good at protecting the women they love.

I happen to love it when Susan Stocker puts together her series with all the Alpha Men who have Service experience, doing edgy things, and the women who catch them by surprise turns their life upside down. Stocker knows exactly how to make that happen and this is a new series cut from that same cloth.

We have a group of men who fought for their country, were extremely good at it, made a judgment call that was correct, yet when the powers that be dec

It's been a while since I've had the chance to get my hands on an advanced reader copy of a Susan Stoker novel, so long in fact that I'd forgotten just how fabulous her novels are, and this first book in her new Silverstone series, was a gem, and was it ever worth waiting for. I was hooked from the start and loved every minute of it--it's a 5-star read.

Carson "Bull" Rhodes and his Delta Force teammates, Eagle, Gramps and Smoke, have formed a close bond/brotherhood over their many missions, and

My bar wasn't set very high for this book to begin with and it didn't even reach my lowest level of expectation. In other world, this book was boring. A real snooze, perfect if you can't sleep at night. The hero was a loner whose family is his Team brothers. The heroine is a sweet, innocent, inner city kindergarten teacher. The book didn't tax the reader by trying to get beyond

This book is one of suspense as the genre suggests. As with a number of Susan Stoker stories the focus is on military teams. This one features an ex Delta team that due to political reasons decided to leave the military and form their own black op group working for or with the FBI and Homeland Security, fronted by a tow truck business.

The 4 men Bull, Eagle, Smoke and Gramps are as close as family and run their outward facing business well keeping their extracurricular business on the downlow. Th

Susan Stoker is taking everything you love about her protective, alpha heroes and bringing it to a whole new level in her Silverstone series. A perfect mixture of swoony romance and edge-of-your-seat suspense, Trusting Skylar is a must-read romantic suspense fans.

This was a surprise - I wasn't expecting to get to read this for another couple months!

Carson & Skylar's story is intense, wonderful, and highly enjoyable! I love the beginning of this new series & am looking forward to Eagle, Smoke & Gramps getting their HEAs! Especially after the tease of Eagle's book. The way all the guys rally around Bull & Sky's relationship was very heartwarming in a BA Alpha sort of way. ; )

I love the way Carson & Skylar meet - he's immediately protective of her & she's

Carson and his three military buddies have devoted their lives to serving their country only to find out that their efforts were not appreciated. They now manage Silverstone Towing but their real mission is to ensure that those who are the most dangerous are dealt with in a lethal way.

Skyler is a teacher who would do anything for those she cares about however she hasn’t made the best choices when it comes to her romantic past. When her car needs to be towed it is Carson that comes to her aid and

This was a good first book of the series about Carson (nickname Bull) and Skylar. He is part owner of a towering company, which is also a front for their other job which is working as a black ops team for the government. She is a kindergarten teacher. Good story. Can't wait to read the next book.

Susan Stoker has been using the same predictable story line for the last several series. As a reader and reviewer I like to see if the author changes up their style of writing. Susan Stoker uses the same story lines just change them enough to sound like a new story or series.

Her stories are unbelievable and over the top at the best. This new series isn't anything new and it neither add to her current book list. The story is all introduction to the new characters, their past and what the future

Trusting Skylar kicks off a new series for Stoker called Silverstone. It is on Kindle Unlimited as well so yay! In this series, a group of ex Delta Force soldiers leave the Army and start doing black ops for the FBI all under the cover of running at towing company in Indianapolis. It sounded a bit excessive to me, but it really did work.

Carson "Bull" loves being a co-owner of Silverstone Towing, loves his Delta Force brothers who are now his business partners, and loves his work ridding th

Great start to this new series. We briefly hear about Silverstone Towing in Rex and Raven's HEA (Defending Raven). Silverstone goes in and takes care of the really bad guys. According to the military they took out one too many (which was not the case), and Silverstone was born. Carson meets Skylar when her car breaks down. He "yells" at her for being too trusting. He falls hard and fast, and so does she. She runs when she finds out his other job. Her neighbor helps, plus g

I love losing myself in one of Susan's hot military hot hero book These two couldn't have been more different however they are just what the other needs to balance each other out. We have Skylar the trusting somewhat naive sweet teacher and then we have Bull who has seen the darker side of life and he will be there when she is going to need him and he is going to protect this woman that he did no t know that he was going to want and yes he does want. And my friend I did not know at the time that ...more

Trusting Skylar is the first book in Susan Stoker’s new series, Silverstone. This book is an action packed romantic suspense novel filled with great characters, intense passion, a great love story and a happily ever after.

It. Was. Just. Brilliant.

Love love love the Silverstone team. Loved the introduction to them. Love that they are set apart from all of the rest of Susan Stoker's 'verse ( tho, I wouldn't cry if we had a random drop in from Tex... ).

Bull/Carson was perfect. Skylar was perfect. Along with the rest of the ensemble cast... they all had a role to fill and they made sense.

I enjoyed the story but I personally wasn't a fan of our main man he was a bit too much on the alpha front for me. The story was good with plenty of action and drama to keep me interested. Skylar and Bull were very opposite sides of the spectrum. He was always looking out for danger everywhere which is understandable considering his life and his work. Skylar was very sweet and innocent. Overall it was a good story but Bull just didn't do it for me. ...more

The author's new series starts with the end of Raven’s book from the Mountain Mercenaries. Returning from their mission to take out the man who had taken his friend's wife and kidnaped many others, he remembers back to his last mission with Delta and how they ended up leaving the Army. When they started Silverstone, he never thought it would have gotten so big but the towing service has grown which is a cover for their real job.

What an amazing author, and what a wonderful new series! I can't wait to read all the stories for the Silverstone Towing. Bull and Skyler's story is amazing. Frustrating and preachy

I’m actually surprised that I finished this book. I’ve read a lot of the authors previous stories, but I think this is my last one. I liked Bull and his friends, even Sandra. I didn’t like Sky and pretty much the way she handled anything, especially Bull revealing his secret. The pacing of the story seemed slow too, but that could be because of the other content.

The thing that bothered me most was feeling preached at. Everyone is aware of the current issues with school fu

I am a huge fan of this author and this new series has really started off with a bang! It never gets tiring as Ms. Stoker always manages to give us brave and protective new heroes, kick butt heroines and amazing new stories.
