This is a fast read that doesnt really make a memorable impression. Its mostly forgotten after a month, it was exactly what I wanted out of a book at the moment however it was still eye-roll worthy throughout most of the pages. ...more

I wasn`t a big fan of the front page, but i liked the blurb so i decided to give it a chance.
It was super adorable and fluffy, i really liked Simone and Andrew, they were so cute! Though, it all felt a little rushed. But sometimes love is, no? :) Look forward to the next book!

Sweet!

This is a cute young adult, high school age romance. First crush, first kiss. It was sweet and had an innocent feel to it. I liked the characters and I smiled a lot. It's a quick read. It's a good start to a new series about catching your crush.

Flirtation-impaired fun!

A quick read with a fresh spin on the nerd/jock romance - I enjoyed it so much!

Simone is an introvert who is too shy & awkward to even talk to her crush. Amusingly, she starts quoting favorite movie lines when she gets nervous. Easy-going Andrew offers to help her out.

Simone is pretty naive about guys, and it causes Andrew to start feeling pretty protective of his quirky new friend. Of course you know where it's heading, but the entertaining part of the story is how

3 stars flat.

Short, sweet, nothing incredibly exciting, but it did help pass the time.

Another great YA read by Maggie Dallen! The shy, movie quoting Simone has a crush on Tony, a bass player in her bff's band...her only problem is she doesn't know how to get him to notice her! When the school's star baseball player, Andrew, offers to give her flirting lessons, she hopes that they will help her get noticed by Tony! Unfortunately for Simone, they don't work but that doesn't mean as is at a loss for her! Great YA read!

I loved Jax, Rose, and Simone from the book Kissing the Player. I had no idea that they were also in this book, so I was pleasantly surprised. Simone was one of my favorite characters whenever she was only a side character, so to see her have her own love story was already exciting.

At the beginning of the story, she and her friends decide theyre tired of not knowing how to flirt with guys and get the attention of their crushes. Simone knows that Rose would be the perfect person to give them

This quick read is super cute and a fun start to a new (spin-off) series!

Okay, I might be a bit biased here since Simone was probably my favorite character in "Kissing the Player" (sorry, Rose, sorry Jax!). So I was more than happy to read her story, too, in this first novella of the spin-off series "How to Catch a Crush". Andrew is another of Maggie Dallen's good-guy heroes, and he and Simone make a cute couple (plus, the flirting lessons range from cute to hilarious).

This was a fast fun read! The reader immediately gets into the story and is transported back to their awkward high school years - it is fun, it is awkward and it is real...

Simone is trying to figure out how to let her crush, Tony, know that she exists and is given some tips from Rosie, her BFF's girlfriend. Rosie also enlists the help of Andrew, hot shot pitcher for some real life help. Sims and Andy are so unlikely to get together, but you can't help but root for them!

It's a feel good story and

Love it

OMG!! This is by far my favorite by Maggie!! I have been hoping to read Simones story and Im glad She gets her HEA. Striking out with the star pitcher is Simone and Andrews story, which is so sweet and I love how goofy they are around each other. I love how they understood each other and their friendship became more. I really enjoyed reading their story and cant wait to read the rest of the series.

Cute short story packed with emotions

Cute short story about a anxious young woman learning to be comfortable in her own skin. The male lead is a very self conscious young man who takes it upon himself to help the young lady who he sees everyday but never interacts Sith on a whim that ends up finding him his greatest treasure! Nicely written and left open enough that it brings you back to find out what happens with the rest of the characters.

Great start to what I know will be an amazing series, and I love the fact that they don't get together with their crushs but with other guys, that's awesome. I want to read the books of all the girls in the "Lonely hearts club". I like this couple, they complemented eachother so well, I rooting for Andrew the second he appeared in the book

Cute quick read

I am well beyond high school years. This was a fun quick read, which sometimes I need fluff instead of thought provoking. The Author did a great job of portraying the awkwardness of high school. There really are different groups and at some point we all have a crush on someone maybe unattainable. I enjoyed this read

The concept was good but the story line did not uphold. It made the story bland lack of emotion and fast paced. Also my biggest issue was that the characters Sims and Andy fell for one another within a few pages of reading. Again good topic just not well thought out it just didn't built any chemistry.

This was a cute little novella. I loved Andrew's character and it was nice to see more of Jax, Rose, and Jax's best friend, Simone (who was the MC of this one). This is one of those books that's easy to read and easy to enjoy. Looking forward to more!

Catching the Crush

Loved this story!! Referencing to a movie? Thinking of John Hughes!!! A great read for any age. Sims and Andy!! High schoolers finding their way. Some of us continue to try to find our way. Must read!

Great start to a sweet YA romance series that made me want to continue reading the rest of the series. I love a story of unrequited love as much as the next girl, but it was refreshing to read a book that included a guy and friendship where the romance was not between the two of them.

If you're into teen rom-coms then this is a good read for you. It's cute and an easy read for anyone. It's one of those books you could see be a movie, I enjoyed it.
