If you're looking for a delightful, sexy and funny read then look no further. The Romance Plan is everything you need.

Eliza and Liam's story was just the perfect read for a sunny, relaxed day. I adored both main characters, they were incredibly easy to like and very well written. We even saw Liam, in particular, undergo personal growth. There are some great secondary characters and we even get to see some old friends though, if you haven't read any other Cupid books, this does read completely stand alone.

The heat level is high and we get a perfect amount of angst filled will they/won't they to balance the fun and humour. Once we reach the "oh yes they will" stage then things really take off and I was buoyed along by the story, enjoying every moment of it. This was what I would term a "no effort" read. That is to say the writing flows smoothly and took was easy to read, I never struggled to know who was talking or what was happening. I left me feeling warm, happy and comfortable and is a romantic comedy that I'm only too happy to recommend.

Eliza is a junior editor at Sterling Press and is trying to adjust to no longer having her much loved boss, Harry, at the helm. Harry has recently passed away and his estranged son Liam is now in charge. When Eliza meets him in the office for the first time, she soon realises it isn’t the first time, they have crossed paths before - there may have been kissing involved too…

Liam is a successful businessman who enjoys buying struggling businesses, pulling them apart and selling off the spare parts. Sterling Press is just another job for him… or is it. That is what he is telling himself for now, however, there is no denying the personal connection he has to this job. And then there is the personal attraction he is feeling towards Eliza.

Eliza is shocked to discover the man she shared a moment with the night before is now her new boss, this is not the guy she remembers. This version is cold, shut off and arrogant. He puts them all on the spot to prove their worth and make a case for their author portfolios. As if this wasn’t enough, he then sets Eliza an impossible task, to get a much loved author to meet a deadline that is slightly overdue… okay, way overdue.

Eliza sets out to prove that her job and everyone else is worth saving. Along the way, she ends up spending a lot of time at a mansion on Long Island, eating peeled grapes, drinking cocktails and some unexpected romance. This is another fun, flirty read in the Cupids series by Lila Monroe.

The Romance Plan is a lighthearted, opposites-attract office romance!

Eliza and Liam are quite the couple. A chance meeting at a bar, an unexpected kiss on the street with a sexy stranger, then the realization that Liam is Eliza’s new boss all combined to create a funny, flirty, and steamy romantic comedy! So to say they start their new working relationship off on the wrong foot would be an understatement.

Tasked with turning the sinking ship that is his late absentee-father’s publishing company into a profit-making business, Liam has no room for distractions, especially his attraction to Eliza. Eliza is a junior editor and will do whatever it takes for her authors and prove their worth for the company. Deciding to put their differences aside and work together, Eliza and Liam slowly cross the lines in their professional relationship, giving in to the attraction and chemistry that simmered beneath the surface the entire time. But can they keep business and pleasure separate if the company goes under? Or will their forbidden romance be lost in the pages of time?

This story was a fun read. What I loved most about this book was how the characters set their differences aside and worked together to make the publishing company successful. Add in the hilarious and witty banter with the sexy and romantic elements, just made the characters even more lovable and upped the excitement to find out if they truly get their HEA together.

The Romance Plan is a fun, passionate, and feisty romcom! A no-nonsense workaholic and a sassy optimistic clash in this entertaining and well written quick read. A great ending to a great must read series!

Eliza, is a junior editor and a lover of Romance, who’s risking to lose her job at the Sterling Press after the sudden death of her employer that left the company with a lot of debts.
Liam, is an analytical man who has just accepted to take a look at his late father’s company accounts, trying to save the profitable stuff and cut off everything else.
Liam is Eliza’s new boss, they are opposites but this doesn’t stop the strong attraction they feel for each other.
A relationship between them is not acceptable nor possible, is it? You can find the answer reading this nice rom-com.

I’ve read this book too quickly. It was the last in the series and now I can’t wait to know what Lila Monroe has in store for us next.
I have once again enjoyed her writing, her low drama plot, her funny characters and the right amount of sexyness.

Sweet, sexy, romantic and laugh out loud funny, I loved The Romance Plan! The story, the characters, everything just worked perfectly for a truly enjoyable read. The chemistry between Eliza and Liam was off the charts, and their HEA was well worth the wait.

One of Monroe's steamier books, this light, low angst rom com flies by. It's not my favorite from the author - there's just something about this couple I couldn't fully connect to - but it's a fun, easy read that wholly embraces its low angst feel. This one stays true to its tropey roots, featuring an unemotional, workaholic hero and the feisty heroine who brings him out of his shell. It's distinctly Monroe's style but also has a familiar feel, and fits into the series nicely while also being a complete standalone.

The story follows Eliza, a woman who works for a publishing company that's struggling after the death of the owner. When his son steps in to make the business financially sound, it causes a lot of changes in Eliza's life. One, her job is in jeopardy and she's got to prove her worth. And two? The new guy is none other than the sexy stranger she shared a kiss with the day before. As a workaholic who comes across as cold and unfeeling, it should be easy for Liam to keep things professional, but they've already crossed the line once and there's no going back from that. As the two work together, they realize that their first impression might've been right all along.

While I don't think this is the most successful book in the series, it really is a fun (and pretty sexy) read. Our couple definitely feels the chemistry, so there's plenty of lust going on, even as they struggle to work together. If I had to pinpoint what holds me back from loving this, it would be that their personalities are too far into the extremes. We don't see much of the non-professional side of Liam (outside of the steamy scenes, at least), and Eliza is too busy lusting after/being frustrated by him to dig much deeper. It's fun, it's light, it's sassy, and you won't have any trouble reading it in a day. So while I've read better by Monroe, it's still got the exact vibe I was hoping for. I received an ARC via Give Me Books and am voluntarily leaving a review of this light rom com.

The latest in the Cupids Series from one of my very favorite queens of romantic comedy is here! Settle in, and prepare to bust a gut laughing and have your heartstrings manipulated in the most glorious of ways with Eliza and Liam’s story!

Eliza McKay loves her job as a junior editor at Sterling Press. She loves her authors, loves her coworkers, and adores her boss, Harry. But when Harry dies suddenly, things at work get shaken up. Harry's estranged son, Liam, takes the helm of the company, a quickly sinking ship in a financial hurricane.

Liam Sterling has a knack for dismantling and selling off companies, all with an eye on the bottom line. He comes to Sterling Press planning to implement his standard MO, but it’s not long before the employees, Eliza in particular, have him looking for ways to salvage the company and save their jobs.

This may seem like a fairly typical premise and trope, but Monroe effortlessly takes it to the next level with snappy dialog, delightfully quirky secondary characters and enough chemistry to create a mushroom cloud. Because Liam and Eliza together? Boom!

I laughed out loud, I blushed, I my have yelled at a character a time or two, and I happy sighed my way to the very last word, not nearly ready to say goodbye to these characters I’d given a chunk of my heart to. The perfect beach read and the best possible distraction from a chaotic world, this is a sweet, steamy, hilarious, spectacular romcom you’ll want to start reading today. Your funny bone and romantic heart will both thank you.

4 stars!

The Romance Plan is the 5th book in Lila Monroe’s Cupids Series. It is the final book in the series. I love everything about these books. Every book offers a ton of laughs, unique storylines, and characters with so much chemistry and charm. I can’t get enough of them and this book was just the same. Eliza is an editor for a publishing firm. She has finally landed the job of her dreams only to be told that the company is struggling and her job may be in jeopardy. Until the owner’s son steps in and takes over. That son happens to be the mysterious stranger that kissed her in the street the night before! Liam is all about the numbers. He initially steps in to take a look at the company after his father’s death. He plans to make cuts and only plans to keep those that are truly profiting the company. Now a relationship between Eliza and Liam is completely forbidden but their attraction is undeniable. I couldn’t enough of the banter between them. There were so many hilarious lines and their chemistry was utterly explosive. This was one of the steamier ones in this series. The only thing that held me back with this one was the fact that the characters are extreme opposites. Sometimes their opposite views really clashed and took away from their connection. Liam is direct, cold at times and Eliza is happy go lucky and super carefree. Eliza was so passionate about romance books. Obviously I loved that about her and can completely relate! Overall this is fun, light hearted rom-com that I thoroughly enjoyed.

4 SMOOCHES!

An opposites-attract, workplace romance, Lila Monroe’s The Romance Plan was a quick read that I devoured in a day. Light-hearted yet sexy, it was heavy on the comedy and high on the heat.

Eliza and Liam come together as foes when Liam arrives to run his late absentee father’s publishing company where she is an editor. Working together to save the company from the precarious financial situation his dad left it in, they grow closer as the chemistry between them becomes impossible to ignore. Months of late nights, weekends in bed, and coaxing an old school romance author/diva into finishing her book, and they’ve slipped into full on coupledom.  But when it comes down to the wire, a misunderstanding drives them apart, and in the ensuing days, it’s becomes clear that one of them made a grave mistake. I loved these two together precisely because they were so very different. Uptight, closed-off, stiff suit Liam and stars-in-her-eyes, clumsy Eliza wouldn’t match well on paper, but the sparks flying, flirtatious banter and sizzling chemistry were pretty hard to resist.

The Romance Plan was a lot of fun, and it had its fair share of awkwardly cute and nerdy comedy. While it was definitely pretty steamy, there weren’t a lot of swoony, romantic moments—straight-laced, all business Liam wasn’t really that kind of guy. Even still, I enjoyed this book—it was cute, charming and very entertaining. The Romance Plan by Lila Monroe gets four smooches from me!

I couldn't [ut it down!!!

There’s just something about a book from Lila Monroe, that you know will give you that ‘feel-good’ feeling. The Romance Plan had that in spades.
Liam and Eliza may have been the generic boss and employee, they met before they started working together and had an amazing kiss. But, they also didn’t quite get along. Liam annoyed the heck out of Eliza, and he thought she was too drunk to be alone. She showed him how wrong he was… and he rewarded her.
With that kiss!!!
Now, he’s Eliza’s boss, but he can’t stop thinking about how her lips felt against him. He wants more, but knows he shouldn’t.
When they spend more time together the lines blurb and soon they are falling, deeper and deeper under the spell of lust and desire.
I really liked Liam and Eliza, they worked well together and had all the snappy, sassy banter and sexy innuendo needed to make a great, laugh out loud tale worth spending time and money on. I thoroughly recommend this to new readers and old fans alike.

Books are Eliza’s life so when her beloved boss passes away not only is her job in jeopardy but the future of the company as well. Finding out that her new boss is the mysterious man who added a spark to her lacklustre love life was not what she wanted to hear.

When it comes to business Liam is focused on facts and not emotion. If he wants to ensure the future viability of his father’s company that means ensuring that one of their authors finishes their book so that it can finally be published and he can’t afford to be distracted by Elize despite how appealing she may be.

Personally and professionally Eliza and Liam are a perfect fit. Their story is filled with humor, heat and is sure to touch your heart.

no HEA, just something keep u up for life.

it’s not black or white, true and false, does Liam is wrong being a business consultant? to keep the profit and cut the loss even there may be so many people to laid off? that’s what the business world, how the money comes and goes.

does E is wrong and being loyalty of her company, sometime, too emotion in work gets us blind.

this is not true or false, and someone may lucky to have HEA and someone’s not. are u?

This book is a lot different to the others in this series, for me when I’ve seen the title of the book and then read its contents I normally see why the book has the title it does… Normally they’re incorporated into the story and I honestly love that as it doesn’t give off a second meaning… This book however, it didn’t give me the feel that Lila Monroe’s books normally give off. For instance to me, when I see the title I think that the lead female is going to come up with a way to make her love life actually go somewhere, for it to be exciting and to plan every little detail, but in reality, this book is so different from that. If anything, to me I don’t think the title lives up to what the contents are inside… That being said, Lila has done an amazing job with the book, but I just don’t feel that this one lives up to what the other four have produced. Plus, I noticed that some things felt either unresolved or were just missed off completely. For example, when Liam reveals to Eliza about how he’s felt about her, or what he’s wanted to do to her for so long or the fact he hasn’t stopped thinking about her, that I loved because it was him opening up… However, I felt that it would have been even better had Eliza revealed to him that when he called her that one time, she ended up pleasuring herself over the phone whilst he was talking to her… Now that would have brought the spice up even more, plus it would have made things more interesting when it came to them revealing things about the other to them. I would mention other bits, but truthfully, I don’t feel it would be right because it would ruin the story and I would hate to spoil anything about it.
I have no idea if Lila is planning on doing another book with this series, but in my honest opinion (and I already know that others are going to think differently) I think it would be best to leave this series as it is now because in a way it did seem as I was reading this book that Lila wasn’t fully invested in this book, like she was done with the series. Even though this book was an enjoyable read, I think it might be best if she just starts with a new series next time, I’m not trying to sound mean or judgemental here because I know how much time and investment goes into creating a book, but I’m just voicing my opinion, I’d much rather get to read a new series which is completely fresh with new ideas than to get another book in a series where it seems in the writing the author isn’t fully invested anymore.
That being said, I did like both Liam and Eliza, I thought they were both interesting characters, they are complete opposites, but how the plot is written works in such a good way.

Eliza has just had a great promotion and is looking forward to being able to do her dream job….. But there’s a catch, just as she gets the promotion she wants, her boss (Harry) passes away and now Eliza and her friends are scared they’re going to lose their jobs. However, when it’s revealed that Harry’s son is coming in and taking over as CEO and no one knows just how to handle it. So it’s a shock for Eliza when she realises that Liam is the guy who she had the pleasure of meeting the other night and kissing randomly before he ran away….
With talks that the company is going to go under, Eliza is determined to find a way to keep her and her friend’s jobs and find a way to save the company, but will Liam be willing to help her out or is he set to screw them all over?????

“whatever you might think of them, romance novels are one of the great feminist art forms. The centering of the female gaze, sex-positive representation of women seeking pleasure, stories where women are respected and catered to are actually radical and transgressive in a patriarchal society like ours. And the only reason men like you are so quick to dismiss them is because several millennia of misogyny makes books with pink covers an easy target for people who have no idea what they’re talking about.”

Turns out life is not the way all her favorite romance novels promise, but just maybe Eliza will be able to create her own story, happy ending and everything. Eliza has been living her best life in New York working as a junior editor at Sterling publication, her author list is strong and her friend groups is tight, her love life however is seriously lacking.

"I’m about as athletic as a tree sloth."

Thinking things are starting to look up when a cute stranger kisses her one night in the middle of the street, this hope swiftly dies the next day when she realizes the mystery man is non other than her late bosses son, who is there to trim unnecessary fat.

"He’s like Mr. Darcy crossed with a grumpy grandpa,"

••

Liam's has always felt like an interloper and this is no different now that he is sitting in his father's office, getting ready to check Sterlings financials. Numbers are his safe place so this should be a breeze if only her could get Eliza out of his mind, the one time her acts on impulse turned out to be with a woman working for him, bot ideal really. But Liam has bigger issues, if he and Eliza cant secure a way overdue book from a supposed legendary romance writer, he might not be able to save his father's company.

"If our first kiss was an impulse, this feels like a week of sexual tension brought to boiling point: hot and deep and demanding."

••

I have been loving the Cupids series and I think The Romance Plan has hands down won my top spot, Monroe has done a brilliant job with this hilarious quirky read. I absolutely fell in love with Eliza and Liam. The pair were so perfect for each other and their chemistry was an instant spark. It was also nice getting to catch up with the rest of the Cupid gang.

"Oh, he’s definitely smiling now, a self-satisfied grin that makes me want to either punch him in the face or climb him like a tree, I can’t decide."

••

I do love a good office romance and the way Liam tried to lush his attraction for Eliza away only added to their combustible chemistry. Though I will say it was their time with Verity that not only sealed the deal for them but for me as well. Verity, what a character, I think I might just love her as much as Eliza did.

“I spent my whole life reading about this in novels,” she confesses, looking a little bashful . “But I don’t know if I ever really thought it would happen for me.”

••

The Romance Plan was definitely not your run of the mill romcom, this book was pure gold, it has me laughing, blushing and sighing with happiness. A huge thank you to Monroe and her team for this e-ARC, it was truly a privilege and pleasure to read this beauty! Do yourself a favor and get this book!

The next book in the Cupids series is a delightful romp of opposites attracting in a big way! All books in the series can be read as standalones but trust me, you'll want to snatch them all up!

Eliza just landed a big promotion and is finally living her dream, with the exception of her lackluster love life. So when she finds herself being kissed silly on the hot New York streets (in quite the movie moment!) she things are looking up! But reality arrives like the big old B she is and reveals the mystery guy is her new boss!

As the son of an affair, most people don't even know he exists, and those who do, speak about him in hushed tones, so when Liam has to step in to save his now deceased father's business, it's a bit of a shock to the system... for everyone. He's got a reputation in the business as being a bit of an axe man, the Grim Reaper for dying companies if you will, so people tend to give him a wide berth. He's never been bothered by that before but then again, he's never been charmed into kissing under the stars by an employee before. Saving this company and his heart just got a lot more complicated.

This book was adorable. I loved Eliza's positivity and moxie! She just refused to give up, plus she's kind, funny and a total romance loving girl! Liam couldn't be more opposite from our girl Eliza. He's a "glass not even half full" kind of guy and good Lord, does he need to learn to have some fun! Eliza is just the woman for that job! Plus Verity was hilarious! Loved this addition to the Cupids series!

Eliza McKay adores her job as a junior editor at Sterling Press, and up until the time her boss died, was a rising star within it's ranks. But with the future of the company up in the air. Eliza's dream job may become a distant memory before she knows it...

When Liam Sterling lost his absentee father, he swoops in to take over his struggling company by doing what he does best... corporate liquidation. Sterling Press in bleeding money, and if he can't find a way to make some fast, his father's legacy will be gone forever... along with everyone who works at Sterling Press...

But while Liam's coldhearted approach to business wars with Eliza's happy-go-lucky existence, sparks will fly, in and out of the office...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Romance Plan was an enjoyable and engaging read! Eliza and Liam may butt heads constantly, but they can agree on a few things... like how much Sterling Press means to them... and how much they are fighting the attraction they have to one another.
I really liked Eliza. She was quirky and fun, and gave a stuffy man like Liam a reason to not take himself so seriously. Liam was rigid and all about the numbers, but with every moment he spends with Eliza, Liam realizes just how much he wants to be a part of the light she seems to find in every situation. Their opposites attract romance was sexy and fresh, and was immensely entertaining.
I also really enjoyed the plot and the large focus on the romance novel writing storyline! The scenes including the eccentric bestselling author were hilarious and added so much to the story as a whole!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Oh, Liam… I may not have loved him from the start but it didn’t take long to get there. Liam is a unique guy. A little sheltered, a bit aloof, somewhat awkward, and a whole lot sexy, Liam has so many layers to him. But underneath the tough, businessman exterior beats a heart full of passion and love just waiting for the right recipient. He’s smart, funny, and charming...when he wants to be. And when that happens, watch out.
I was instantly charmed by Eliza. She’s quirky, funny, and confident in herself. She’s strong, tough, and incredibly resilient. I love her spirit and her sense of loyalty. But most of all, I love her interactions with Liam. He keeps her completely off balance which is fun to watch. One minute she wants to kiss him, the next she wants to throttle him. With her, you never know what’s going to happen and I love that about her.
This newest gem from Lila Monroe is fantastic. Eliza and Liam are great together. They have so much chemistry, but believe me, it isn’t all smooth sailing. Their awkward situations, witty banter, passionate encounters, and sweet moments will keep you guessing throughout the story. But there’s one thing you won’t have to guess about: you are definitely going to fall in love with these two! I definitely recommend picking this one up.
I always know that I’m in store for a breezy, fun romantic comedy when I pick up a Lila Monroe book and The Romance Plan definitely delivers. This charming workplace, friends to enemies story will suck you in right from the first meet-cute and have you laughing until the last page.
I knew from the first page that I was going to love Eliza. Doesn’t hurt that I’m a sucker for a polka dot on a shoe. LOL. She was so fun yet she did her best to keep it professional with Liam. She was strong and stood up for herself. You never knew what was going to come out of her mouth.
Now, Liam was the complete opposite. He was so very literal in what he said and how he interpreted others’ comments. I wasn’t sure I was going to like him. However, once you got past his defenses, Liam was warm and funny and so sexy. He said what he meant and he didn’t try to play games.
It was so refreshing to see a couple that was so open with their wants and needs. If they had a question about their relationship, they asked and communicated (well, mostly).
The Romance Plan was a fun, enjoyable read that will leave you with a smile on your face! I definitely recommend it.
This was exactly the book I needed to help me enjoy a chill out Sunday.
Sweet, laugh out loud funny and sexy, this book is great for a light hearted, low angst, easy read.
The story follows Liam and Eliza. Liam is the estranged son of Eliza’s old boss, who had recently passed away. He is brought in to try and save the failing publishing company Eliza works for. He is professional, hard working and comes across as very ruthless. He is also the handsome stranger that Eliza kissed the previous night...oops!
I liked both MC, Eliza was hilarious and sassy. Liam, not so much, but it doesn’t take long for Eliza to break down his walls and show another side of him that I fell in love with. Their relationship was steamy and the chemistry between the two was hot! My favourite part was definitely the reading out loud of Verity’s dialogue. Way too funny!
The secondary characters were also very quirky and entertaining.
I read this adorable story in one sitting and still have a smile on my face after reading it.
The Final Cupid’s Book is here!
Eliza is believes in what she does as well as the people in Sterling Press and in the company that was good to her. She’s also very strong willed and honestly she’s the type to be down for the cause. She’s an amazing Junior Editor and a real romantic. She wants romance, but isn’t so sure if the romance she seeks and longs for is the same as the ones she reads in the books. Eliza is very straightforward and what can I say other than she’s special.
Liam Sterling is a Corporate Robot Killing Machine on a Mission to cut the fat out of his deceased and absentee father's company. He cut throat and goes straight to the point. Liam doesn’t sugar coat anything. Kinda hated him in those beginning chapters when he was acting like a douche canoe. But the Robot Machine proved to be more than what he let on. Lila Monroe delivers a deliciously sexy read with the final Cupid!
A thoroughly enjoyable romcom, with steam, levity, humor and low angst. A perfect fun read for a romance addict like myself.
We've got the classic workaholic, emotionally-unavailable man that needs a feisty woman to help him realize that there is more to life than just work!
The publishing company Eliza works for has come under new leadership following the death of the owner. Imagine her surprise when the son and new owner turns out to be the sexy stranger that she was kissing just one day earlier! Liam tries to keep things professional, but it seems that with Eliza, the cat's already out of the bag and there is no turning back now, no matter how "work appropriate" he tries to be.
This book has all the classic romcom hallmarks - banter, flirtation, chemistry galore, and just enough conflict to keep things interesting. It's light, fun, funny, interesting, and great one-day big read because you'll be having too much fun to put it down.
I have been waiting for this book for a long long time, and when I saw that it had popped up on my google books I had to dive in. OMG I have absolutely loved this series, and this novel was a great ending to the series. Just like the others I wasn’t able to put it down. In fact I read it in a matter of hours. These two are meant to be together. Liam might be one of my favorite of the guys from this series. He starts off has this very stiff business man and we see him start to loosen up as he finds happiness with Eliza. I couldn’t have been more of a fan of this couple.
If you haven’t read the first 4 books of this series... those characters do make appearances in this one has well. If you haven’t read them you won’t be lost if you read this one, but I highly highly recommend reading the first 4 first.
Oh did I say how much I loved it because I did.
Enjoy.... its a page turner for sure.
This is the fifth book in the series. I really enjoyed this book. I loved Eliza. I mean we all can relate to her love of reading and books. I liked seeing the publishing side of creating a book. I'm not gonna lie I was very iffy of Liam in the beginning until I got into his head. Then things became more clearer on Liam. My heart went out to Liam because he didn't have real close relationships with people even friends than his life is turned upside down. When Eliza comes into his life she brings a fun energy. A new side of Liam comes to light. That was one of my favorite parts of the book Eliza bringing fun into Liam's life. He's buttoned up, routine oriented person. He needs to cut loose a little. It's great light fun read that's going to suck you in. Eliza and Liam have great chemistry that makes you feel the connection between them. This book is also going to make you laugh. We get to revisit previous characters in the book too which always makes me happy.
A numbers guy and an incurable romantic don't exactly scream match made in heaven. Lila Monroe's latest addition to her Cupids series is utterly charming. Liam Sterling is rigid, stoic and only sees the bottom line. It's his driving force. Now he's tasked with trying to save his deceased father's publishing company that is deeply in debt. Eliza McKay grew up reading romance novels and wants to believe that someday some gorgeous hunk will sweep her off her feet. She finally has her dream job; editor at Sterling Publishing. Now it seems her soulless new boss Liam Sterling could take it all away. Eliza teaches Liam how to see the gray in between the black and white. With her he learns to have fun, smile more, laugh, relax and do something besides work. They make a great team as together they try to save Sterling.
This is the 5th, and last, book in Lila Monroe’s Cupid series. While the first book in the series was a modern twist on Cyrano de Bergerac, this book pays homage to Pride and Prejudice. Liam Sterling is the illegitimate son of Frank Sterling, owner of the Sterling Publishing Empire. When Frank passes away, Liam is brought in as a consultant to save the floundering company. Eliza is a Junior Editor that just had a very successful book. When Liam tells Eliza that she needs to get the book from famous romance author Verity Lange, whom the company paid a $2mil advance, or she may not be around for long. Of course, this sets up a delightful forbidden romance between the prideful Mr. FitzwilLiam Darcy, oops I mean Liam, and the lovely Elizabeth Bennett, I mean Eliza. This is a thoroughly delightful book. I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
4.5 Stars for The Romance Plan
This author certainly knows how to write romantic comedy and if that’s a genre you love, you will want to pick up a copy of this book which is Eliza and Liam’s story.
Eliza loves her job as a junior editor at Sterling Press, she loves the authors she works with and she loves her coworkers and her boss is simply the best but when he dies suddenly her work life is turned upside down when Liam takes over the business. Liam is used to going into companies and selling them off bit by bit and that’s his plan with Sterling Press until he comes across Eliza....
This book ticked all my boxes, the banter us witty and natural, the characters are adorable with sizzling chemistry and I loved the whole office romance. This is the last book in the Cupids Series and it’s a great book to round the series off with. Loved it.
Another fabulous, funny, and highly entertaining rom com from Lila Monroe! I always look forward to picking up one of her books.
Eliza shares a surprising kiss with a stranger, only to find out he's her new boss. They are opposites in many ways, but that doesn't stop them from being attracted to each other. Sparks fly as they work together to get a book published to try to save their company.
I loved Eliza and how passionate she was about romance books. It was fun, too, to have a story about books without the heroine or hero being the author.
She and Liam are so sweet together. The story is told in dual POV with just enough chapters from Liam's perspective for you to get to know and love him too.
With this book, Lila Monroe proved why she is one of my auto-buy authors!
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
