**Previously Released June 19, 2018** (The Family Books 8-9) When tragedy strikes, it can either pull everyone together or tear them apart. With Liberty’s life hanging in the balance, and Sempri being held captive for reasons unknown, there is no telling how things will turn out for either of the two. Legacy spent months without speaking to Liberty after she did the unthinkable. However, it’s undeniable that he’s still deeply in love with her. When he finds out her life is on the line, will he come to his senses and do right by her, or make decisions that can only push them further apart? Philan is finally coming to terms with the fact that he has feelings for Sempri. However, when she’s kidnapped, he begins to realize it may be much more than he thought. Given his past, will he be able to handle the realization that he may be in love with her, or will he push her away in fear of what his feelings may mean? In this final installment, hearts will be broken, and lives will be changed drastically—some for better and others for worse. However, only true love will prevail in the end.
This was once again a nice read... Held my attention and pulled me... Had me laughing and all in my feelings and sometimesat the same time... I did have a problem with the mix up of characters a few times... That did pull away from the storyline a little bit... But I was still able to enjoy these crazy characters and all their shenanigans... I really liked Liberty... I just hate how she acted sometimes... I wished she would have given Legacy a chance sooner... So why was she all in her feelings once he moved on... She knew that he loved her and this went to her head... but then he switched up and had me questioning if he really did... Had me starting to doubt it after a while... I was glad that she moved on... I just hate who she moved on with... I am like girl... Come on you are not desperate... Why just settle for anyone... I liked Legacy but he made me mad a lot... I didnt like how he kept handling Liberty... Then once he decided to be in his feelings and listen to his friend he really hurts Liberty... Like he really had the nerve to have Egypt all in Libety's face... Then gonna really threaten Liberty over Egypt... I was super mad at him for that... Then he had the nerve to be in his feelings after Liberty took things as he presented them and decided to move on... I dont know why he thought it was okay for him to be happy with the next woman because he didn't want Liberty but then expected her to just wait around forever for him and be miserable... He just really didnt want her to be happy... As for Sem I know that she was hurt by Phil and that is why she hid such a big secret... It was kind of his fault because of how he treated her the last time they were together and would not allow her to say anything... So he can't really be all that mad... She had her reason... He should have not treated and talked to her the way he did... But what Sem told everyone about him was not right either... I mean I get it but she could have explained it better... Sem and Phil just kept bumping heads yet they could not leave eachother alone... We see that everyone started growing up and making grown decisions... Then after all these years they all cross paths again and things start to shake again... Then relationships are destroyed, people are losing their lives, feelings are getting hurt and emotions are on high... In the end the past was put to rest and people were finally able to find some form of happiness... Now to see what is next in this saga...
I read reviews that Lib was spoiled. She was but she had every right. Legacy was crazy as hell about her. Legacy killed Thomas, someone who could’ve possibly been her future. Then Ralph. You ain’t see Lib offing no one he dealt with. They were one and the same. Then he got the nerve to move on and be with who he want. Egypt and Legacy knew she was a placeholder. Egypt knew how crazy and jealous he got about liberty, why put your self in that predicament of falling for him. Legacy was just as bad as Lib if you think about it, he was spoiled in a different way. He kills off her ppl, and liberty would whine about him moving on. Same thing. I understood why she felt how she felt about him and Egypt after the break up. So Egypt had to go. Dortch was still miserable! #teamquan over here.
I have laughed and cried so hard I got a damn headache 😩 but lady Antoinette you did this just like the last 4 books I've read and I'm off to book 6 of this family saga cause it is not a dull moment with none of these crazy folks and I must say I love every one of them from book 1 to this one. This is a must read is all I'm gone say you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED 😉😁 BELIEVE THAT Legacy, Liberty Phil and Sempri are the best
It was an ok read. Don’t think I’ll be reading the royal wedding. This says book 2 - 3 but I only read 2. Couldn’t find book 2 by itself to review,
I was planning on going through this authors catalogue but I’m 5 books in and I’m not rushing to read nothing else after this.
There’s only 1 book I’m waiting for by this author and only then I will judge if I read anything else by her after I read that book. (Waiting on Relic’s book).
I'm still enjoying this series. To see these four best friends come together, have there own families is great. The writing in the series is fantastic. There's not one book that I've read I'm not excited and pleased with in this series so far.
Whew I almost had to stop reading this one Liberty was taking me through it. But I'm so excited to get to the next generation Quan and Ginger are my fave so far but Liberty and Legacy def have my heart now and I'm dying to know what Gigi got going on with these twins
Boy this book was drama on top of drama. Legacy loves him so liberty. Sem was wrong for not telling Phil about the baby but I’m glad they got it together. I’m glad Quan whooped Dortch too because he deserved it lol
I love me some Legacy!!!😍 Phil grew on me after a while. I like how he stepped up and got his woman. Liberty still got on my nerves. I enjoyed catching up with the other characters.
I never wanted to read this book because I thought 9 books was a little too much. However, I cannot wait to read every single book. I wonder who Gigi's baby father is was.
Thank the Almighty! I was a little worried there for a minute. Liberty and Legacy worked my last nerve. Whew, during the wedding part, I was read to throw the book. Thank God it turned out like it did. Great Read!!!!
Man this was a beautiful read. I love legacy and Liberty. Their love definitely went through some hardships. I love the family..Gin and Quan, Phil and Sem, Doe and Zesus, and Ivy and Kole. Great book, can’t wait to read the next one❤️
Ooh Chile I kept waiting for the ball to drop n something bad to happen...legacy definitely not the one to play with.....his career was perfect for his ass
Legacy tried to make Liberty mad and jealous by bringing Egypt around backfired on him. Liberty made a decision to give away what he thought was reserved for him. Which ended their friendship. Sempri passed came back to haunt her. I knew Fonzo was somewhere lurking and plotting to get her back because he was heartbroken which caused Liberty to damn near lose her life. Sempri was also tired of Philan being wishy washy with his feelings towards her. Year's later. Sempri ended up with a secret she his from Philan. Liberty settled for Ralph and Legacy settled with Egypt. However I knew Legacy and Liberty would find their way back to each other. Egypt knew Legacy heart was with Liberty but her ass was doing dirt too. I was glad to see Ivy, Kolyon, Ginger, Quan make an appearance. I was too thrilled with hearing from Dortch, Zeus, and Doe. Zeus and Doe was still irritating and Dortch was still pining after Ginger. Liberty wanting them all together for her and Legacy wedding was a disaster waiting to happen. I was glad when Ginger popped Doe in the mouth because she talked too much. Quan finally got a chance to put hand's on Dortch. That was a long time coming.
