Bradley Charbonneau has blah blah blah written 33 books and held a write-every-single-day streak of 2,808 days in a row. Yeah, whatever. Who cares, right?
Do you know what Bradley's best numbers are?
Zero and One.
Zero is the number of books he had before he started writing even One day in a row.
One is the number of books (and days in a row) he wrote once he finally got over his imposter syndrome, his perfectionism, doubt, fear, anxiety, and last but not least: procrastination.
The problem was that he started out trying to write his Best Book Ever. (PRO TIP: impossible)
It would have made things a whole lot easier, faster, and a ton more fun had he only started with his Worst Book Ever.
Join him twice a year in starting--and finishing--your first (and hopefully worst) book at worst.repossible.com.
I'm not a huge fan of this book, seems like a jumble of thoughts roughly broken into chapters. I found it lacking quality and actionable steps. I did like the quotes provided throughout, I think that was relevant and the best part of the quality provided.
‘I believe we’re all creators...Where there was nothing and now there is something’
Author Bradley Charbonneau has published several children’s books and travel books, but in this ‘self-help’ genre he unveils his own secrets for making life meaningful and successful. This is the fifth volume of his (to date) eleven book series and his initiative challenging thoughts continue.
‘Possible (tomorrow). Impossible (yesterday). Repossible (every’ single day).’ The core of this brief book lies in these words. Or as the subtitle reads, ‘What to do when you don’t know what to do.’’ As Bradley has said in one of his other self-help books, ‘This isn’t for the faint of heart - this is for the heart. Bradley Charbonneau's life drastically changed when on Nov. 1, 2012, he accepted a challenge to Write Every Day for a month. He was familiar with monthly challenges like weight loss or waking up early, but the difference this time was that this one was close to his heart. What happened next changed his life in ways he could have never imagined. The book, "Every Single Day" tells his story--and teaches you how to achieve what you're after. Because you are after something. I know it. You know it.’
Bradley’s comments, offered in a conversational dialogue with the reader, are innovative, challenging and supportive – all in a manner that has become Bradley’s trademark delivery, such as his opening idea, ‘A journey of 1,000 miles begins by making sure the parking brake is disengaged.’ This book, CREATE, is distilled by the letters or that word – Challenge, Repeat, Educate, Amplify, Trust, Evolve. Using each of these ‘words’ to establish thought processes (or sections of his book) he shares thoughts such as ‘Live, Work, Create. Pick one,’ ‘The ‘Habit is the Goal,’ ‘Give the gift of You,’ ‘’Feeling stuck? Bogged down” Pop that boil, let it out, create,’ ‘Shoot off the flare gun of your passion and see who takes notice,’ How to go from Nothing to Everything,’ and ’A dialogue without an audience is a monologue.”
Accompanying Bradley Charbonneau creates a bond, a friendship with a wise and very pragmatic coach whose thoughts are rock solid and wholly credible, possible steps to take control of life. This fine book encourages us to take a very deep breath, start afresh, and make or lives what they CAN be. Easy to read, a pleasure to absorb.
