Ghost Hawk was the pride of his village, their most fearsome Warrior. Although not much for speaking himself, he had a gift for languages – a gift which he considered both a curse and a blessing. He cared deeply for the Native traditions, including keeping the bloodline pure. He never backed down from any battle including the ones with the intruding white men. He witnessed attack after attack on the Native villages and the merciless killing of the ones he loved. And yet, a beautiful white woman, alone and passed out in the woods, called on his sense of integrity. Knowing she was in danger of certain death from the elements or possibly being eaten by a wild predator, he found himself conflicted. What was it about Grace that could cause the cold-hearted killer to rethink his hatred and consider being her savior?Grace was the victim of the hard times settlers faced when trying to make a life in the untamed West. Her mother dying in childbirth left her without a female role model and cemented her fear of love and being intimate. She and her father made the decision to move westward in an ill-conceived attempt to repair their relationship. Stranded in a camp full of dirty, discourteous men, she felt fated to live the life of an unloved wife and mother. Running from an apparent attack on the mining camp, she finds herself injured and alone. The only help offered to her is a man she knows she should fear; Ghost Hawk – a fierce-looking Apache warrior. He awakens within her feelings she didn’t know existed. Does he feel the same about her? Is the hope of happiness more important than keeping the bloodline pure, and will it be enough to quell her fear of intimacy?
This book was just brilliant!! It is very well written and the characters are unforgettable. Ghost Hawk is the perfect warrior. Strong, brave, fearsome and believes in their traditions. He feels that their bloodlines need to be pure! Then he finds Grace unconscious in the woods. Something about her calls to him. She has had a hard life and she doesn't feel she will ever find the love she has heard about. Even if she did, could she trust him? When she starts having feelings for Ghost Hawk, she doesn't know what to do! This is their story. It is a love story you wont soon forget. This author has a way of hooking you and you don't want to put the book down. I highly recommend this book as a must read!!! It is an amazing book!!
I had to stop reading this book at about 65 % finished. I found the scene repetition from both viewpoints laborious. The book did not move at a smooth or quick enough pace. And someone must inform the author that there is another word to describe speaking other than GRUMBLE. I believe this word was used at least once on every page and sometimes used multiple times on a page.
The characters were nice but it was rather repetitive and the storytelling. The author would describe a scene from Graces standpoint then the exact scene ghost hawk. It made it very slow moving. And she used the grumble it felt like 500 times to describe his speech. A thesaurus or a good editor would've helped. Like I said very repetitive
Intriguing historical romance worth taking time to read
This is a very good historical fiction romance story. I would recommend it to any adult or teenager that enjoys native American historical romance. I enjoyed it thoroughly and I think you will too if you enjoy historical romance
A huge waste of time. Poor character development, thin plot, mind-numbingly dumb dialogue and a ridiculous number of typos and grammatical errors. Don’t bother.
The book was very good to read I enjoyed very much, I didn't like the ending I want to know how they live if they had a family how was their living in Tunisian camping was I'm noisy so what was it like knowing e for her the first time
What their first child look like her or him mostly how they live , are u writing another book to offset this one
My first by this author and it was wonderful. I loved how the chapters alternated between Grace's viewpoint and what she was feeling back to ghost hawk's. Loved this style. Also, it was at times lighthearted and sweet. Just wish it went a little further with their first kiss perhaps. Headed to Amazon now to pick out another one by this author.
I loved the story line but felt the book was left unfinished. I had so many questions like "how did they get out of the camp unseen if the scouts knew they were there". There was just to much left to the imagination.
Two minds, two hearts, two direct worlds. They come together in this story. Their is all the elements of a great story! Danger, feelings, purpose, and desire. Great read!
Wasn’t my favorite. It repeated the same scenes too much. It was a slow moving storyline as well. I wish it moved a bit faster and show more on falling in love. Was a bit boring.
The story was a good one, but the ending was rushed, and it left far too many unanswered questions. It would have also been nice to see a glimpse of what their future held.
