Within the 1st few pages, I was tearing up. I knew this would be a 5 star rating and review. Part of me wanted to soak it all up in 1 sitting and the other wanted to savor it; never wanting it to end. Almost every page felt like it was message speaking directly to my soul. Piturro’s journey in pajamas with her Pajama Program is beyond moving and shows the true power of human connection. Her words are deeply motivating and offer the reminder to always stay true to yourself. I received my Kindle

Purpose, Passion, and Pajamas by Genevieve Piturro is an amazing self-help motivator. Inside, are blunt short, yet honest ways to find your purpose and passion. I loved how she mentioned that: "...small gestures whether kind or cruel could change someone's life forever." It is true! I liked that she dug deep in the beginning. "Learn from your childhood lessons." Most of us think what could something from our youth teach us, as adults? The answer is everything. Kindness for one can have a huge im ...more

I’m so grateful to see that Genevieve’s inspirational story is now available to share with others. As a supporter and follower of the work Pajama Program does, its incredible to read HOW and WHY Genevieve made the decision to make a major life change at the age of 38 - the same age that I was when I first reconnected with Genevieve in 2019. Genevieve teaches that there is truly more than enough to give and that when you are committed to your purpose, magic will happen!! I cried and laughed and w ...more

Genevieve Pitturo reinforces the true meaning of purpose, passion, and relentless determination. Genevieve's story reminds us all how the power of ONE and human connections can changes lives. It's such a beautiful and inspiring story, and during these very challenging times, Purpose, Passion, and Pajamas will warm the hearts of her readers. Definitely a must-read! ~Laura Schroff

Reading how the Pajama Program came to be was both inspiring and challenging. What seemed like such a little thing, a gesture most people never think of made such impact in the lives of children and staff at shelters in America. It was also challenging because in Genevieve sharing her relationship with Demo, it was clear that we are often so caught up in our lives that we barely live it. We rush to acquire stuff and never stop to appreciate the little things and in March 2020, Covid-19 decided t ...more

Facing up to yourself is daunting…but Genevieve offers a spirited and heart-warming guide on how she did and how you can too.
Full disclosure, I have both volunteered and worked at the Pajama Program in NYC and know Gen, so I thought that I knew the whole story, turns out I didn’t. In "Purpose Passion and Pajamas" Gen filled in the behind the scenes story details. From where I was sitting, before I read the book, it looked like Gen had just slipped into the job she was meant to do. But the work,

A book that shall ignite our hopes again: just divine!

I have to say that when I received that book from Genevieve Piturro, I was just excited to read it. And I have not been disappointed! In those trying times, it is just refreshing to read such a story which is a true proof that Humanity in oneself can ignite acts of wonders in others and for others. The honesty and grit of Genevieve's story is underlining that we, as readers even doers, can indelibly make the world a better place but more so,

A rectangular lavender gift box arrived at my door bearing an attractive pastel sticker with the title of the book I had won: Purpose, Passion, and Pajamas by Genevieve M. Piturro. Inside the box were the paperback book, business cards and promotional flyers, and a small canvas sack “Tool Kit” containing branded items: a free relaxation album download card, lavender Tranquility bath salts, a Tranquility oil-infused tea candle, a Newman’s Own tea packet, a small pink polished-stone heart, a choco ...more

What an emotional but heartfelt story! How you can find your purpose, your passion, and how one woman did that through pajamas. This book is a magical gift from the universe with one woman’s plight to provide comfort to children who don’t have the simple things.

What did I like? Powerful story, and a motivational one like none I have ever read. The author turns her struggle to help into a motivational story to helping others find their passion or purpose. I was completely moved. I enjoyed and

This book chronicles Genevieve M. Piturro's journey with the Pajama program while also giving advice on how the reader can find their own purpose.
Piturro is emotional and truly wants the reader to fond their purpose as she did. This moves the story. Sadly, it is all her story. That seems weird to say as it is her journey but there isn't enough time when the children are telling the story. When they are featured, it's in relation to her own self. Luckily, I have worked with children without pajam

Genevieve Piturro had a life-changing moment when a little girl asked her what pajamas were for. From that question came a charity that would serve over 7 million children. This is the story of how Gen got from climbing the corporate ladder to sitting on the floor reading with hurting children.

Having several children that have come out of foster care I can truly appreciate what Genevieve is doing for the kids. Reading through her journey as she meets and cares for the marginalized feels like an

I wouldn't usually pick up a book with the word Pajama in the title but I'm sure glad I read this one! Genevieve pulled me in right from the start. Her story of how she knew she found her purpose is powerful. I didn't love all the references to putting things out there in the universe as it put too much emphasis on external forces that we can't control. But Genevieve's passion and hard work still shone through. A good read for someone feeling a lack of confidence in fulfilling their mission in l ...more

I won an ebook version through Goodreads. It’s an inspiring story about a woman who changed her life by giving her pajamas to one little girl at a shelter...and it grew into a national movement. There are tips and lessons at the end of each chapter that help guide the reader towards their own transformations as well. It’s an interesting book to read just as I go through the transition of being a new mom.

I appreciated this book. It was inspiring in many ways - to search for one’s passion, to be aware of the needs of others, to listen to your heart. But, what I appreciated the most I that the author was honest - the journey to one’s heart’s desire is often difficult and full of obstacles. I was grateful she shared those challenges with her readers.

I love hearing about people’s passion projects and how they came about. I had never heard of the Pajama Program but immediately looked it up after reading this. It was inspiring and incredibly moving. One interaction lit a fire under Genevieve and she has been able to impact the lives of so many children. Thank you for sharing your life’s work.

Very inspiring! Recently I've been talking with my partner about how we can take causes we are passionate about and make them into a reality - this really proves that when you find your "why" and really put your heart into something, you CAN make things happen!
