Seven Crowns is a fantasy, romance filled novel with a splash of Sci-Fi. It definitely gave me some Hunger Games and The Selection vibes at certain parts, so if you like either of those series you will enjoy this one!

Ana is a 16 year old living on Earth, when her world is turned upside down for the second time. Her mother passed away the year before, leaving her in the foster care system away from her three older brothers. On the night of her 16th birthday, she is targeted by a group of unknown

This book starts out pretty freakin' stunning--lots of action, lots of mystery, I literally could not put it down. The whole first section of the book will have you wondering, in a good way, "Who is this guy!?" or "Who is the villain!?" and will leave you suspecting every character as the would-be assassin, even the good guys, which I think is INSANELY well done. Lots of little bread crumbs scattered throughout, too.

The characters are all unique and very well done, too. None are carbon copies of

Ana has spent the last year since her mom died keeping her head down and attempting to play by the rules of her foster mom while secretly living on her own. When random, dangerous events start to occur, Ana is saved by a stranger who tells her that her mom was a leader from a far away planet (which earth is a colony of) and she is the only heir to her family's seat in ruling. Ana is swept away to a new world just a little off from earth with new rules and technology, full of power plays and assa ...more

Yes! More please!

Ana Hall (Halt) has only just turned 16 when she discovers that nearly her entire life has been a lie. Her biggest concerns should have been school, rent and work. Instead, she is running from unknown assassins, shipped off to a world she had no idea existed and thrown into a school where family connections could mean life or death. Oh, and she is also the last living member of a royal family and sole heir to that crown. No big deal. Taken away from everything and everybody she

Sixteen-year-old Ana was put into the foster care system after her mother died. Now she is finding out she might also be the sole heir to a crown on another planet. She is further surprised at discovering her mom’s secret, that she was some kind of royal who had escaped as a political refugee from a planet called Bellaton. Apparently Ana's family was one of the seven that ruled.

With assassins after her, Ana must discover her magical "gift" at the academy. She also needs to find a way to discover

I was really excited to lay my hands on the whole of this book having previewed the first five chapters initially. Really pleased to say I wasn’t disappointed- this book is wonderful for worldbuilding and I really felt like I was being transported somewhere, which as an avid fantasy/sci-fi/YA reader is very important to me. It’s fast-pace, engaging characters and snappy dialogue make it an addictive read and one of the highlights was how Ana, the lead character was written far better than a lot ...more

It took a while for me to be fully emersed in the story, but after it got rolling it was no turning back. I got a complementary copy and these are my honest thoughts. After this part I will have spoilers, please note this is the first in the series, so I know there is more to come and I would like to continue to read.
First, can I talk about that ending, what is up with Adam's father, all dimension of dont care what anyone thinks and its his way or the highway. I want to see more insight on why t

This book starts out fast paced and entertaining. I definitely did not want to put it down because I just had to know what happened next. It is a good mix of sci-fi with some mystery and a splash of romance, but not enough to be totally unbearable and shoved in your face. However, the middle of the book kind of dragged on for me, and wasn’t as interesting as the beginning or the end, which is why I took one star away. The ending of the book however definitely recovers again. The last few chapter ...more

I just read this in one sitting. I really enjoyed it. If you like murder mysteries academy books with a sci-fi, interstellar twist, this book is for you. It's a clean young adult book perfect for teens onward. Although the book has an ending, there's a lot more going on in the story that is not settled in this first book of this series. I look forward to reading future books and learning more about this new interstellar world.

I really liked this book! There were a few cliche moments but on the whole a novel idea and well written. There are occasions where the same info is repeated a chapter later like you'd not heard it before, which was a bit confusing, but generally I really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one! I read the whole book in 2 days and now I have to wait a year to continue?!

Ps I read this as a free ARC

*I was given an ebook for an honest review*
I DNFed at around page 100. It wasn't anything bad but it felt like I've already read this book a hundred times before. The writing is OK, a little bit jolty though. I thought it would be interesting but there is hardly any Sci-fi aspects from what I read for a book set in another planet. I would've expected more in the first 100 pages. Sorry if I'm being too harsh, if a book doesnt click with me I just have to stop reading.

Wow, what a great read! I was completely drawn in and immersed in this incredible story from page 1 and literally could not put it down. The characters, the twists and turns, the underlying mystery, all on top of a sci-fi academy base. Really enjoyed this, looking forward to seeing how the series continues!

I was a little disappointed in this book but I think it was because of the reading mood I am in right now. I really liked the premise and the story.
