If love is a salvation for some, for me it was a damnation. Until I met her.
We both understand what it means to lose the love of our lives.
We both refuse to have another relationship.
We both think we’ll never love again.
And then our worlds collide.
She’s the storm to my dangerfree life.
I’m the anchor to her wildness.
She’s reckless.
I’m guarded.
But in reality, we’re both pretending.

This was an emotional story in the absolute best way. From the very first page I was sucked into this adventure and couldn't stop reading until the last page was done. Both Tessa and Oliver know what it's like to lose someone they love. Oliver gets dragged back to Virginia Beach, the place where he lost his fiancé, loaded with lies and pain in his heart and resentment in his steps. Then he meets Tessa. Tessa who is as wild and out of control as they come. Sparks instantly fly. Chemistry is everywhere. Add some danger and suspense and this was just a perfect read for me. This book will make you feel. It will leave you reeling. It will mix you up with twists you did not see coming. All in all, an absolute MUST read. Five HUGE stars!

Another emotional read by the fabulous Gabrielle G.
“Avoidance is the best medicine for certain things, but for others, it’s a poison that will kill everything in you.”
I’m a huge fan of anything Gab writes because her writing touches your soul. It makes you realize things about yourself that you didn’t even know existed. Oliver and Tessa are a match made in heaven. Their story is beautiful. The book will leave u emotional and wishing there was more and more to their story. This is a must read. Buy it, you won’t regret it. Thank me later!

An Emotional Action-Packed Story With Swoons, Laughs, Suspense, Moving-on-from-grief, Our Beloved Characters, Finding-love-again, Heart-racing Dangers AND Deserving HEA!
I loved Oliver & Tessa, DEVOURED this in 7hrs.

#My 1st By Gabrielle!
We see Mark, Jackson, Quinn & Ashton from C.M.’s world and Lars, Naomi, Anna, Dan, Dex & Leo from G.G.'s world. It was so Great to see My salvation guys *grin*. I'm so gonna read G.G.'s Darling Devils Series! They were fun here❤.

Oliver, Ex Navy SEAL+Bar Owner, is Anna's brother [Darling Devils]. He has a cute baby-Aito❤. *Sweet+Protective Dad!*
Tessa, Ex Mechanical Engineer+Adrenaline Junky, is friends to our Salvation Series' Guys.
Two grieving souls. Two people who lost the love of their life. If you've read both series, you'll know them (& their complications!), but No probs, We'll get All backstory here❤.

Going to Virginia Beach, the place he'd lived & where his Beloved died, isn't what Oliver wanted but his buddy Mark needed his consultancy skills..So he'd come.
AND Met the beautiful Tessa. His ‘Here’ Driver (Don't ask Why *giggle*). The two go toe-to-toe as Their Scorching Sparks fly! AND the pranks *Whistle*!
Both have secrets and understand eachother on a deeper level, she sees the pain he tries to hide. And they make eachother feel Alive.
“There are people with whom you know it will always be more than a kiss or a one-night stand.....I felt it the moment I met Elaine and I can sense it with Tessa.”

They may heal together..If they take the chance.
“I hope she won’t stay a ghost in love with a past she can’t ever have, like me. I want her to heal more than everything.....I want her to be happier than I’ll ever be. I don’t know why but I need Tessa to be fine for both of us.”

As the other reason of why Mark brought Ol here: to make him face his Fears, comes out...Tes+Ol finally give in to their need❤.
But after pleasure comes Guilt..Which leads to Bad Choices *wince*.
Then.. “I came to the conclusion that we’re inevitable and I’m done fighting what the universe wants.” ~Oliver
Talking & Sharing..The two's relation starts!

As days pass, the Case gets dangerous, Especially since it's connected to Tessa. Therapy, Her passionate Racing, Dates, Sexy times, Letting eachother in, Feelings Growing..
Then Ol gets Kidnapped & All Truths are Found out.. *Hell Breaks loose*
The Plan, successful Rescue..Case Solve.
AND nothing like danger to make him realise he loves Tess. ~Memorials & Closure~

But Even after their Love Confessions.. His life's in NY, hers in Virginia Beach.
But..They love, so they find a way!
AND when she gives him the ‘move in’ surprise..*Yay!* Cue HEA❤.
“You are my everything.” And she is. My everything. My world. My strand of blue in my grey skies. But before all, my salvation. ~Oliver
Both epilogues are sweet+Beautiful!

The two's Pain+Struggle's depicted so well..My tears were flowing freely. AND I, of course, love their friends *chuckle*. They'd such a important role in bringing Tess+Ol together😍.
Elaine's parents were great❤.

Oliver is dreading going back to Virginia. Virginia means facing the people he doesn't want to face. Facing the past he doesn't want to face. But he meets Tessa. She's as broken as he. They've both lost someone, both feel that loss, feel that grief, feel that guilt. Neither wants love again, or commitment, so a little fwb while he's there should be fine. Except not. Not when there are outside forces that would love to tear them apart. Not when neither has healed enough to let someone else into their heart. Except maybe those hearts are just ripe for love, and they can have it with each other if they can get out of their own way...

Angsty, emotionally intense, a bit all over the place, and lots of push and pull. I enjoyed this story but can admit I wanted less angst and a lot more communication between the two. I get that both are broken and damaged, but those very things about both of them bugged me a tad. Not enough to affect my rating much, but enough for me to mention it. But Mended is well-written and mostly entertaining and I'd definitely like to know more about the world it's set in.

WOW! That's the first word that comes to mind after reading Gabrielle G.'s contribution to the Salvation Society World! Followed closely by AMAZING, INCREDIBLE and I DIDN'T WANT THIS BOOK TO END!!! Ms. G. is a new-to-me-author and Mended will definitely not be my last read of hers if this one is an example of her writing! Mended BLEW ME AWAY with the feels, the angst, the wonderful character development...and the chemistry between Oliver and Tessa just about melted my kindle, to say nothing of my heart! I was hooked from the first chapter until the last!

When Oliver and Tessa meet, neither one of them are looking for any type of relationship...quite the opposite! They're both dealing with unimaginable loss and Oliver is raising his son as a single Dad (with the help of his close-knit extended family) Love is the last thing that either of them are expecting or are prepared for, but lady love has a way of attacking you when you least expect it! My own heart was in my throat much of the time as I walked the path right along with Oliver and Tessa, bleeding from the raw and gut-wrenching emotion their journey evoked in me! When it was all said and done, my heart sighed with complete and utter satisfaction over their HEA....and has made me want to read MORE of this author's words! I'll definitely be doing that at the first opportunity! Mended is a MUST READ that you won't want to miss!

I suggest reading the Salvation Series by Corinne Michaels before reading books in the Society, but it is not a requirement.

Key Points for this story in the Salvation Society Collection:
- Massive Crossover / Romantic Suspense
- Family Drama
- Former Navy SEAL & Former Navy SEAL Fiancee
- Salvation Series connection is Mark and Quinn from Defenseless / Indefinite Duet

Another real, raw and romantic story by Gabrielle G!
Mended is a beautiful, emotional story which sucked me in real quick and I couldn’t stop reading as I wanted to know what’s going on.
Of course, all the feelings were real, and made me feel raw and let me shed some tears hearing / reading Oliver’s and Tessa’s story. Both having lost they’re loved ones and grieving. When Oliver and Tessa meet for the first time they can totally see what the other person is feeling. The hurt, the loss, the grief. And the chemistry between these two is there instantly! I totally think they needed each other to heal and this great group of friends and family they’re surrounded with helped a lot. It was great to catch up with the known characters!
Absolutely loved this book, and with the twist Las and turns and suspense in this book, it’s an absolute big 5 star book!

I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review

3.5 stars! This is Oliver’s story. For those that have read the Darling Devils books will know Oliver well. As well as if you’ve read the second book in the Gritt Family series. As soon as I saw that Oliver’s book was going to be part of the Salvation Society series I knew I had to read it. I enjoyed learning about Oliver’s past and I really liked how it was tied into the Salvation characters. Honestly I had never read the most recent Salvation series books with Tessa so she was also a new character for me. I wasn’t a huge fan of hers. And I think that’s what brought the stars down from 4 stars for me. This book really was true to Gabrielle G’s style of writing...intense and sexy! And I was glad for that! This is definitely a decent read and if you have read about Oliver in other books, you won’t want to miss his story!

Real talk: I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I started this book. I was a little nervous that I was going to end up with a broken heart and all the shouty words but what I got was a heartfelt, suspense filled maze that I couldn’t get enough of. I fell head over heels for Oliver, every broken piece of him. I literally wanted to reach through my screen so many times and give him a big squeeze.
I felt a kindred soul in Tessa. Her desire to avoid the pain of the past and feel anything else was so relatable. The way this book was weaved between Oliver, Tessa and their respective families kept me guessing and on my toes. I felt like Oliver and Tessa were two pieces of a puzzle that no one knew were missing until they were put together. Bottom line, my heart is happy.

Gabrielle G slayed this Salvation series novel. She took a character I met from a previous book of hers and created such a great storyline that fit in perfectly in the Salvation World. It is raw, heartbreakingly beautiful and will definitely have you up in your feels. My heart hurt for both Oliver and Tessa. Their road to HEA wasn’t smooth sailing but it definitely made their relationship stronger. I loved everything about this book. Mended gets all my stars!

"People think that loss is the worst part of grief. That the moment you lose the one you love is what is the hardest. But in reality, it’s the life after the loss that is unbearable, the day after day without them."

“We are kind of dating…” Well, I’m not so sure we are, but that’s what I’m going for. If I was engaged to a dead man for the last few years , I could be dating a ghost, right?"

"It reminds me of a few words Sue used to tell Elaine, about what was greater than love. Honor, trust, allowance, vulnerability, and gratitude. I didn’t get it. I never did."

WOW! This book... 😭😍❤
I don't know how to describe all of my feelings that I'm trying to process right now.
An incredible real, raw and at the end finally romantic story.
The authentic way Gabrielle writes about the characters and their struggles with grief and emotions, is unbelievable heartbreaking.

How do you deal with the loss of the love of your life?
The one person that you loved more than yourself.
How do you find the strength and motivation to continue living?
How do you get out of the vicious circle of guilt and grief?

These are the questions the characters in this extraordinary book have been confronted with every day for years.

This story is not sweet and swoony, at least not at the beginning.
This story shows brutal and honest the pain of people that lost loved once and can't find their way to a normal life.
No amount of therapy and support from friends and family can take the agony of the grief.
But this story is as well a beautiful example how love and acceptance can help heal anything.

I love Tessa and Oliver. I love that despite their terrible past they have the strength to start a new life and their amazing and sometimes sarcastic kind of humor about this whole situation.

I love this emotional roller-coaster.
It's definitely a must read for all romance lovers ❤❤❤

𝕊𝕥𝕠𝕣𝕪𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖: While Tessa and Oliver have both experienced tragedy in their lives, they both reacted to the extremes.

Oliver is cautious. Anxious. Always trying to play it safe and live his life in a series of routines and order.

Tessa is reckless. Wild. Pushing life to the limits to see how far she can go.

When these two collide, what starts off as an oil/water meet cute ends up as an opposites attract fling.

Can these two temper their extremes to make a relationship work? Or will a mysterious villain come between them before they get the chance?

Oliver with a heavy heart, is dragged back to the place where he lost his fiancé, and this is where he meets Tessa who is wild and out of control, and even though they are total opposites, the sparks fly and the chemistry between them is explosive. Oliver and Tessa are both dealing with pain and the loss of a loved one, and the aftermath and challenges of moving forward alone. Will these two heal each other and move on together? No spoilers: this is a definite must read you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written story which is raw, gritty, and an emotional roller coaster, as well as having angst, suspense, danger, heartbreak, acceptance, healing, witty and sarcastic banter, which all leads to a humorous and steamy read. This author had done an outstanding job in penning this tale with an intricate and in-depth as well as a realistic and gut-wrenching story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.

Overall this was a good book. Because I haven’t read anything by this author before, I think there was too much info tied into her previous books and for me it took away from this story. I didn’t really understand the relationship and dynamics of Oliver and Naomi.

It took a bit before I really liked Tessa’s character. But there was one chapter in Tessa’s POV that brought tears to my eyes and I really started to understand her character better.

Tessa and Oliver’s “relationship” was very back and forth. Almost too much so. I get they were both dealing with very sad and tragic events in their fiancée’s passing away. It was just one minute they are fighting their attraction and the next they are acting on it, then back to fighting it.

I did enjoy the bit of suspense thrown in and that added a bit back to the story for me. I was glad when Tessa and Oliver finally figured their lives out.

Life has been a little rough for Oliver over the years. Mended is set in the Salvation Society Series by Corinne Michaels and while I didn’t read that series I didn’t really have any issues navigating the story. Single dad, Oliver has a lot of inner battles with himself but when he meets Tessa, there is just something about her and same with Tessa. Her and Oliver both lost someone important in their lives, and while they’re both struggling to cope with it, they recognize it in each other.

I enjoyed this story a lot. It took awhile for me to get into it but once I did, I couldn’t put it down. It has some suspense in it which I really enjoyed. It was really nice seeing the characters from the Darling Devils series intertwining with this story.

I knew there was so much more to Oliver after reading the first two books in the Darling Devils series. He holds many secrets and has been through so much being in the Seals and losing his wife.

Tessa is in such a similar but different situation. After losing her fiancé she is seeking out anything to just feel.

Grief holds so many different layers and when these two lost souls find each other nothing is the same.

Brilliant story by Gabrielle G!

Two people mourning and feeling like they can't love anymore come together to show you that you can heal and move forward. There is some action and suspense thrown in here but through it all you can see and feel the chemistry between Tessa and Oliver and the connection they can't deny. This is emotional in the best of ways and I couldn't put this down.

I am entirely new to the Salvation Society. I dig the anchor logo, though! I am, however, a huge fan of Gabrielle G's and have adored her Darling Devils series. Darling, the first book in that series, is where we meet Oliver, the brother of the heroine in the book. We get a picture of Oliver that carries over to book two of the series. By now, I genuinely want to know if there is more to Oliver that what we have seen.

To start, the first chapter of the book breaks my heart. If you have not read Gabrielle's other books, you still cannot be affected by the brokenness of Oliver. However, for those familiar with Oliver, we are floored at how much he's been hiding. Honestly, I don't think an author has made me teary-eyed in the first chapter before as the extent of his brokenness plays out your heart breaks for this guy. I am not familiar with the characters from Corinne Michaels' books, but the portrayal of these people blending with Gabrielle G's world's characters is seamless. And that is good writing.

Tessa has had her personal tragedy that has left her broken. Much is going on around Tessa that she is aware of. Her entourage from the security company has made it their mission to help her and Oliver whether they like it or not. One of my favorite scenes happens early in the book when Oliver and Tessa are in an elevator. He's trying to calm himself by doing a Math problem. Tessa solves it before he can! Tessa is smart and doesn't hide it.

Their story unfolds, and two broken people find out that their broken pieces fit perfectly together. Gabrielle G writes emotions and interactions, unlike anyone I have ever read. She pulls deep feels from you as you are reading her stories. Oliver and Tessa are no different. Add in characters from Darling, Trouble, and other of her books interacting with Oliver just as you would expect--the flow of this novel is fantastic. There's even perhaps a brief hint at Sweet, Gabrielle's next in the Darling Devils series. For my entry novel into the Salvation Society, it's set a high bar.

Corinne Michaels Salvation Series is still a favorite of mine. Mix that in with Gabrielle Gs Darling Devils crew - I knew I needed to read this book. I am currently engrossed in Gabrielle Gs books as I discovered so many characters make appearances in other books but It was great to go back to Virginia with the guys!

When we meet Oliver in the Darling Devils, there is obviously a story waiting to be told. To learn the cause of his pain will break your heart. You feel his loss deep in your soul. Virginia forces him to face his past. It also allows him to meet someone who understands the loss.

Tessa is living a life full of risks simply to feel because her world was turn upside down down with her own loss. The guys in Virginia, especially Quinn, have become her family. She doesn't relate to her mom. She isn't close to her step father and her dad has a story that is uncovered during a twist you don't see coming.

When Oliver is called back to Virginia he meets Tessa and their souls connect. It's not an easy connection. They struggle with the draw they have towards each other. The author pulls you through every emotion they feel as they let go and give into their feelings. As they navigate new territory, a story builds around Tessa's family. The suspense thrown in with the love story just makes the story that much harder to put down.

Gabrielle G has once again delivers a story readers will devour. Her words flow easily so full emotion you will get lost in the story. Oliver and Tessa truly were meant to find each other.

I loved seeing the characters from each series come together. I will be reading more of this series now that I have reconnected with the Salvation crew!

Mended was a heartbreaking, emotional story of two broken souls that are drowning in their grief. Oliver and Tessa have both lost their fiancées in tragic circumstances. Both have different ways of coping with their grief, but neither are able to truly move on. When they meet each other, they recognize a kindred spirit and their hearts slowly begin to heal. Throw in a bit of danger and suspense and this is a five star read.

I have been waiting for Oliver’s story and he broke my heart. Who knew behind the player was such a broken guy? He was drowning in his guilt and grief and the journey he took to put the pieces back to together was gut-wrenching.

Tessa was just as broken as Oliver, but she dealt with her grief in an entirely different way. She had to completely tear herself down so she could trust herself to love Oliver.

The connection these two felt was instantaneous. You could feel their chemistry through the pages. Their souls were connected and they needed each other to mend their hearts.

I always know that Gabrielle G’s book will make me hurt in the best possible way. She tears out my heart and puts it back together again. Tessa and Oliver’s story was no exception. It’s Gabrielle G at her best.

Rock stars and the men of Cole Security? Yes, please and thank you. To be fair, I've never read Gabrielle G. but I've read a fair amount of Corinne Michaels and her Salvation Series is my favorite of hers. Mended was an emotional read to say the least.

I liked that both Oliver and Tessa were broken and lost. Struggling to get through the everyday after suffering tragedy. Even more, I liked that they had a support system that was there for them. And it was their group of friends that brought them together in the most unconventional of ways.

The first time they met sparks flew but it wasn't in a good way. But under that simmering tension was a pain that they recognized in each other. And as they were forced together their guards slowly came down and they were able to start letting their friends see their pain. But when Oliver's work hits a little too close to home, it is all he can do to keep his heart from taking over and his head in the game.

My goodness! What a tangled web of deviousness, lies and deception that was uncovered. Full of loss, guilt, danger, grief, drama and forgiveness, Tessa and Oliver's unlikely romance had me hanging on every word. And getting heaping doses of Mark and Quinn and even a few glimpses of Jackson certainly didn't hurt.

I’ve reread the extra epilogue of this book a few times and it just makes me have a tender little boo hoo moment every time for such a perfect ending for this little family. ⁣

I thought I kinda knew what Oliver was about and it turns out I knew nothing! And that’s how Oliver wants it-don’t get too close or you’ll see what’s really happening as he tries to hold it all together.

You will love Oliver and Tessa and watching their perfectly crafted coping vices fall apart. Neither wants to get close to anyone after the traumas they’ve been through and you just get it. But they also aren’t processing anything to move forward. This one is going to get steamy and suspenseful and I am here for it!! ⁣

You will also get to see some of your fav Gab characters ❤️❤️ Lars has been my favorite and seeing his and Oliver’s paths cross again and how they make difficult things work the best for kids in their lives just fills my heart up with happy❤️ ⁣

All the stars and love for these mended hearts.

Oh wow the big emotional guns were brought out for this one. You are given two people within the Salvation Society/Cole Security world who are so broken due to losing the person they loved, they are barely surviving their losses and shells of the people they used to be. The connection between them is instant and I loved seeing these two finally starting to heal.

Oliver and Tess are honestly complete opposites and the banter between them is off the charts hot. Even when they don't get on at the beginning you can feel the connection, the spark.

As always I really loved seeing some of the old faces from Cole Security that I have missed, its like a family reunion.

Gabrielle G brought us a great tale filled with emotion, heart, heartbreak, grief, healing, suspense, betrayal all mixed with seriously hot steam.

I am looking forward to seeing what else this author has brought us.

I must say this was a great inter-connected book. Having Corrine’s Characters and Gabrielle’s together. It was done seamlessly.

We meet Oliver in the Darling Devils series from Gabrielle G and I was always curious about him, I always knew there was something else besides the good guy he portrayed.
I enjoyed this story so much and I want to say it’s one of my top 3 from Gabrielle.

Oliver and Tessa find themselves at the perfect time in their lives. Two broken souls who have given up on life after losing so much. The suspense and the twist in this book took me by surprise, I did not expect it. It was so entertaining and good. If you haven’t yet I highly recommend reading Gabrielle G Darling Devil series and get a better glimpse of Oliver’s world.

The second set of releases for The Salvation Series are here! In Mended by Gabrielle G. was an emotional and suspenseful read that captivated me from start to finish. Oliver and Tessa just broke my heart. Both know what it means to lose someone you love and the grief that overwhelms them. They meet when Oliver visits his friends in Virginia. There he meets Tessa. Neither is looking for love, but they definitely share chemistry. Can they solve what is happening around them and find what is right in front of them before it is too late?

Mended by Gabrielle G. was such a touching story about two lost souls who did not expect the other, but somehow found what they needed most.
