Well-done collection of stories and vignettes about a small midwestern town, it's origins, it's people and it's events. Being born and raised in nearby Walnut Township, I found each page entertaining and informative.
Ashville is home to the Ohio Small Town Museum. I've yet to visit the museum but I have to imagine that this book is the perfect companion piece.
The annals of history tend to favor stories of GREAT men from LARGE cities making BIG decisions. But what of the influence of Small Town, USA? This is a great concept for a museum and book.

This collection of nonfiction short stories provides a fun insight into a lovely small community (or actually communities). Much like the novel states, everyone will have their 15 minutes of fame, and this novel gives the town(s) their due famous shout out.

An interesting, amusing overview of local history. Lots of short bits about people and events across the years. Well-written and -edited. Many photos. A fun and educational read.
