A good man turned bad .. that's Ron Rellick. It took years to break him, but break him they did. He lost his business, his clients, his house, cars, and then left him owing millions. Most of all, he lost his sanity.

A malpractice claim that should have been ignored ... it's the legal system gone wild. We're talking politics ... lawyers who lie, cheat in order to protect their client .. and rake in the money.

His answer to a corrupt system is to fight back. He becomes homicidal. The first murder w

Thank you to NetGalley and Black Rose Writing for the arc of The American Strangler by Robert M. Fleisher.

Thanks Robert M. Fleisher for writing this very interesting psychological thriller.

We've all heard lawyer jokes. Whether we be sued or not... most of us have an opinion about certain lawsuits and cases as well as the lack of justice in some parts that are within the legal system, and many who in which would abuse the system. The author takes goes beyond this and really gives us a serial kil

I enjoyed this crime thriller. An interesting look at what happens when a man is driven to the brink for something he didn't do ,perpetuated by greed. This action packed story is full of twists you won't see coming. I would recommend it. I received this book for free and I am voluntarily leaving this review. ...more

I enjoyed this fast paced, thought provoking psychological thriller. It’s quirky, it’s creepy, it’s shocking, and it’s satisfying.

I was taken with this comment of disillusionment in the book’s early pages. “I used to reason there were more kind people in the world than nasty ones, but for the life of me, they seem reduced in numbers from the past.”

Ron Rellick isn't just any serial killer. When he gets badly treated he does not take kindly to it, and he becomes the hunter. He doesn’t hunt ordinar

This book was an #ARC from #NetGalley provided to me by the author and publisher - free of charge for an honest review.

Dr. Rellick is a predominate oral surgeon. He is living THE life. That is until a malpractice suit wrongfully derails his career and life. Dr. Rellick decides the best form of revenge is targeting those that he feels are the problem of the American justice system - lawyers (and greedy, slimy ones at that). This dark thriller shows just how far one man is willing to go when backe

Surpringly good. Reading for me is emotional and I really enjoyed this story about a doctor who loses everything including his mind. It was really easy to see what would send someone to the dark side when justice let's you down. A definite must read. Happy reading! #TheAmericanStrangler #NetGalley ...more

Thank you BookSirens and Black Rose Writing for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I started to read this book with an open mind as I tend to wont to because I enjoy legal thrillers (and this was one of those books that I had judged by the cover and the synopsis within the "jacket" -- something that I have coined the term "raccoon principle" ("Ohhh, pretty cover")) and I can honestly say that I was impressed with the writing style for approximately half of the book. I was thinking that th

Dark, twisted, a little preachy, compelling, thought-provoking, shocking, gritty, and gripping - The American Strangler is all of those and more. We've all heard a few lawyer jokes in our time, and whether we've ever been sued or not, most of us have an opinion about frivolous lawsuits, the lack of justice in the legal system, and those who would abuse the many problems with that system. Robert M Fleisher takes it a step further and gives us a serial killer. But Ron Rellick isn't just any serial ...more

One word review? Incredible. I’ve been drawn into this book more than I thought I’d be, which was unexpected, and because of how complex and involving the story is, it’s taken me much longer to get through it than I anticipated. I wanted to take in every bit of information and fully understand the position the main characters were in, and as a result, I think I’d put this book up there in my top five of the year so far. Fleisher is an absolute literary wizard!

A psychological look at Dr. Ron Rellick who is overcome to the point of murder after he is wrongly accused by a patient, suffering humiliation and major losses in court. As a reader I felt the first murder happened too quickly, but Fleisher gets into the psychological drama and pain Rellick endures. He makes it so believable, I, like I'm sure other readers, started pulling for Rellick. The description of the Ron's obsessions are believable enough to make one understand the killings. I must say, ...more

Admittedly, I only read 3/4 of the first chapter. It may not be fair of me, but I am telling you not to bother with this. Forget about the content - it was so unbelievably poorly written that I simply could not read any more than I did. Who cares about the story when the author sounds like he is maybe eight years old? Seldom has an author annoyed me like this. A few ways to call up his style: trite, tropes and cliches. Got it? This is an immediate and justifiable delete. And the cover art is hid ...more

This was an interesting novel about a dental surgeon who is sued for something he didn’t do and is found guilty by a shyster lawyer and a crooked justice system. He becomes dejected when he loses everything and disappears. This is the story of his life and how he ends up on the other side of the law. The writing was not exciting and although there was a thriller aspect to it, it was not really that thrilling.

Ron is a dental surgeon who years after treating a young man is sued by the widow for everything that happened to the young man after seeing Ron. The widow's lawyer sets up the jury and the witness to get a large settlement. Ron becomes so mad at all he loses from this misuse of justice that he kills the lawyer. Then he goes on to kill others for the same type of approach to law. He leaves his wife and goes out to be another person. This is a thriller in the true sense of the word. ...more

People suck. The system doesn't work. To hell with it all.

The American Strangler follows Dr. Ron Rellick's journey for justice in a corrupt litigation system. However, his form of justice would be what most call the acts of a vigilante.

This book is as much a legal drama as it is a psychological thriller. It introduces some hard truths about the American system of personal injury law and politics.

At about a 3rd of the way into the book i got thrown for a loop that made me realize this book would

This book surprised me with its unusual content and plot. I do not know why but I just kept reading. When I consider the political and justice landscape of today, some of the events in this book could become reality. The book is interesting and food for thought.

Very interesting and entertaining storyline about corruption, greed and the violence they produce even in the best people. Felt like I was reading today's headline news.. I really enjoyed reading it.

As the author, I’ve read this book well over 100 times. That’s what authors have to do. Well, that’s what I have to do. Every author has a different process, but for me it’s write, re-write, read again, a hundred times. Next work with your editor, and read it many times over. Galley proof, corrections... the process seems endless. But alas, you have your completed book... It’s a process.

Interesting story of a man who was wrongly found guilty and the havoc that decision played on his mind. Stories of greedy lawyers are intertwined in the main thread and at times I felt sorry for the main character of the book.

Many exciting twists and turns! I might have called it Ron Rellick’s nightmare. The book is a commentary on today’s out of control politics. Drastic action to achieve change is dangerous be it from a liberal or a conservative prospective.

Dr Ron Bellick, a dentist loses everything in a malpractice suit. He becomes unhinged and begins to target and kill malpractice attorneys. Copy cats arise and also kill malpractice attorneys.

A rather dark look at the legal profession and how it can affect the lives of both the plaintiff and the defendant. Many twists and turns. Interesting end that has a profound yet simple meaning.

For me, this book got off to a slow start until it got to the actual trial of Dr. Ron Rellick.

The trial part of this book is what kept me interested. The writing in the beginning chapters, to me, felt somewhat forced, like the words weren't flowing easily. I think it would have been a better read if it was more focused on the trial aspect of Dr. Rellick's story.
