Sometimes you have to fight for love, but sometimes you have to die for it.
RB Hilliard lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, two kids, and crazy dog, Oscar. She loves books, music, red wine, chocolate, and writing suspensefully twisted stories. Hilliard published her first novel in 2014 and has since published multiple novels across several different genres.
Die For Her by RB Hilliard a five-star read that you would kill for. This is number two in the Steele Raiders MC series, and they each focus on a different brother so if you wanted you could read as stand-alone, but if you read them in order they do fill the background in so well, giving you a really deep enthralling story. Luciana was a woman after my own heart, dependable and steady but with a little bit of a naughty streak, and lover of a strong man. Steele was the one who surprised me reading this one, as last time there just wasn’t the love for him, but he certainly brought me round this time. Much like his brother Carver, someone I haven’t liked but am warming too. As always there are so many secondary characters that I can’t wait to hear more about, find out more about their stories as Steele and Lulu’s whetted my appetite and just made me hungrier. What will the future look like for the Steele Raiders I a eagerly awaiting to find which brother we will get to sink our teeth into next as always RB Hilliard has a talent of bringing characters to life and making you care for even the even the most despicable characters.
This is the second book in the Steele Raiders MC series and wow was this good! I couldn't put this book down. Steele (Arlan) is the President of the Steele Raiders, a club that was co founded by his father. He is conflicted most of the time with this title and still hasn't gotten past his fathers death. Luciana (Lulu) is a school counselor who lost her father the year before to cancer. These two meet at a restaurant owned by a man Donny who knew both their fathers and introduces them on a night they are both there for different reasons. And so it begins... These two were explosive together. Steele is a total alpha and Luciana is independent and full of sass. I really enjoyed their story. Of course there is lots of twists and turns and suspense thrown in to keep you on your toes. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Wow! Die for Her is the second book in the Steele Raiders MC series and it is fantastic! It grabbed me right from the start, dug its claws in me and kept me captive. This book is full of drama, heat, suspense, action: you name it, it’s there. I absolutely loved it!
Die For Her is book two in the Steele Raiders MC and Is Steele and Luciana's book. This book was an amazing read. I loved reading this book so much. The twists and turns were crazy and I can't wait to read more.
As president of the Steele Raiders MC, Steele has no time or desire for only one woman in his life. Then he meets a woman who doesn't know who he is. The power he holds. A woman who is smart has a bit of a sharp tongue and more is beautiful than any other woman he's ever seen. Knowing he shouldn't he can't resist her.
The man is a walking dream. He's big, bad, and gorgeous. She doesn't know who he is but she's going to take a chance on getting to know him very well.
Their relationship isn't easy and doesn't go smoothly. Fast? Yes. When she finds out who he is she wants to step away but danger seeks her out and she has no one else to turn to. He told her to call if she ever needed him. Is it still true?
There is plenty of danger, intrigue, and questioned loyalty. Will these two reluctant lovers be able to make it through? Will they even live to make the choice?
This second offering of the Steele Raiders is a great read. I'm waiting for more. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
HOLY SMOKES!!!!! Steele and LuLu together is EXPLOSIVE! Luciana Ferino, counselor at a school and Arlan Steele, President of the Steele Raiders MC meet at Salvatore's Restaurant. A place where both of their father's would hang out with the owner Donny before both men died. Instantly there's a connection between them. After a short time seeing each other they call it quits but LuLu runs into a problem and Steele is the only one that can help. Once again the fireworks explodes. This has been really great, fast paced, sexy read and I've thoroughly enjoyed every single word. Steele and LuLu are fabulous couple and the chemistry and dynamics between them are off the charts!
This is the second book in the Steele Raiders MC series and it is the Alpha biker man named Steele’s book. He is the president of the MC who falls for a school counselor named Lulu. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. This book is full of twist and turns you never see coming. If your looking for a alpha male MC book this should be your next read!! Now I can’t wait for ax’s book!!
Oh my goodness! This story absolutely grabbed me from the start and did not let me go. There is an amazing amount of heat, great suspense and moments that will leave you with your jaw on the floor!! Arlan (Steele) and Luciana have this strong chemistry and I enjoyed every minute of their story. Arlan is intense, protective and Lulu is caring and strong. It’s a great ride, an amazing read, a great step in this series and I am looking forward to what is to come.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Freaking amazing!! Edge of seat action! Hot sex! Steele and lulu make a great couple. She’s strong enough to put up with his alpha male but also kind hearted with the bikers and women. Such a great book! There chemistry was off the charts !!! Could not put it down!!
The second story in Steele Raiders MC series and it continues to be a terrific series not to be missed. There is plenty of action, drama and some things that will make you do a double take. The heat between Steele and Luciana is undeniable and make for even more intense moments. Looking forward to hopefully more from this series!!
Hot Damn RB knocked this book out of the freaking park! This book has it all from chemistry, steamy sex, action to having one hell of a twist I didn't see coming and it absolutely blew my mind. I was so excited for The President of Steele Raiders MC and let's just say he can be a stubborn man and fights his feelings for Luciana he met her at a family friends restaurant and decided to meet up ,but he fights his feelings for her and pushes her away thinking she's to good for him. Luciana is now asking for his help ,but can they stay away from each other or will a club girl push her out of the way or will the people find her and kill her or can he save her in time? This book was absolutely phenomenal and let me just say I absolutely would give it 10 🌟 if I could lol
Wow, what a ride, when Steele and Lulu, first meet the attraction is mutual and they, start a torrid affair. They then have a misunderstanding and a falling out. So when Lulu see's something that she shouldn't, and needs protection, and can't trust anyone, who does she turn too, but Steele. With murder, drug dealers and mayhem following Lulu, can Steele save her, as well as their relationship. Absolutely amazing story.
Arlan/Steele and Luciana met in an Italian restaurant owned by a mutual friend who introduced the two thinking they would be a great fit. Luciana worked at a school and was trying to help a teenage boy from a troubled family get to college. Steele on the other hand had left out the part about what he did. He didn’t want Lulu to know that he just happened to be the Prez of the Steele Raiders MC.
Luciana had no idea why Steele would get phone calls at all hours and run out on her because he was intent to leave out any reasoning so even though they had this intense chemistry eventually Luciana just couldn’t take all the secrecy anymore . Steele had told her that if ever needed him to let him know and he would be there for her. She had no idea that a short time later she would be running for her life straight to Arlan…and his club. Once arriving and seeing that her Arlan was the powerful man with the Steele Raiders MC and at this point she knew she would need this kind of protection.
The push/pull between these two was intense and I loved it. Die for Her was full of suspense, secrets and disloyalty that had me turning page after to page to see how everything would turn out. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more on the Steele Raiders MC.
Sometimes you have to fight for love, but sometimes you have to die for it...
RB Hilliard crafts a heart-pounding romantic suspense with " Die For Her (Steele Raiders MC)." Arlan Steele has the weight of the world resting on his shoulders. He doesn’t have the time nor the interest to get involved in a relationship. However, when he is introduced to the beautiful Luciana, a strong and independent woman, the author creates an action-filled adventure enlivened by the sparkling chemistry between its well-matched characters.
I enjoyed the story, character development, and dialogue. There were plenty of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, and that added to the book’s charisma. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much. It’s a first-class suspenseful romance with plenty of action and drama. Perfect pacing ensures the reader is drawn in from beginning to end.
Die For Her (Steele Raiders MC) is very much an RB Hilliard book, with all of the stylistic touches that entails. I’ll be looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. I would highly recommend this book and give it a well-deserved five stars.
Another amazing story by one of my all time favorite authors , I really enjoyed Bleed for her so I'd just fall for Die for her . This can be read as a standalone but I do recommend that you read book one first and of coarse if R.B is new to you you need to get into her MMG series . In the first book I didn't know how to feel about Steele but after reading this I fell hard for him the things he goes through just broke my heart . Luciana was such a interesting heroine she is a new character and she is just awesome and just in everything she does I loved her for Steele they were perfect for one another and just drew me into the story even more . The chemistry was off the charts hot you could really feel the steam coming out of my kindle and even though the hero did frustrate me with the way things were handled . I can't wait to read more by this author and more of the Steele raiders MC they all seem so unique and they just need their story told. Again I can't say this enough if you are new to this author you need to get her books as soon as possible and if she is a author you read then you need to re read her books like now .
♥️🌼I Love Steel🌼♥️ I gotta be honest...once I saw this book cover, I was gonna buy this book no matter what it was about or who wrote it...Thankfully, DIE FOR HER is a good book and R.B. Hilliard wrote it......♥️🌼 Arlan Steel is the president of the Steel Raiders MC...He was born for the job, because he’s a bad-ss, and born into the job, succeeding his father...Steel is gorgeous (again, look at the book cover) and intense and so alpha male...The always controlled Steel questions his place in the club....♥️🌼 When Steel meets the beautiful, younger Luciana, who will not just “obey” Steel without an argument, how could he not fall in love? Sadly, for both of them, Luciana and Steel believe their lives can’t work together, and she kicks him to the curb...the president of Steel Raiders MC...the man whose feet women fall at....But, Luciana leaves a mark on Steel, along with part of her heart...and Steel leaves her his number in case she needs him...for anything...♥️🌼 Luciana Ferina is a school counselor who is, basically, alone in the world....She finds herself in a wrong place/wrong time situation, and when her life is suddenly in danger, Arlan is the only person she can call....and Steel drops everything and involves his club to protect her...These two are so meant for each other....♥️🌼 Steel and Luciana are good characters with lots of chemistry...and DIE FOR HER has a good story, plenty of steam and a good ending...This is only the 2nd book I’ve read by R.B. Hilliard...but it’s the 2nd book by R.B. Hilliard I’ve really liked....And I still may blow that book cover up to poster sized...♥️🌼
This was my first book by RB Hilliard and I'll admit it was the silver fox on the cover that got me...but the blurb had me doing a one-click.
I love an MC romance with that true MC dark and gritty edge to it. This book had plenty of mystery, suspense and intrigue to keep me engaged. It also had "real" people in it: those with pasts, who make mistakes and aren't squeaky clean. That to me adds to my desire to read the book
I also loved that Lulu and Steele were SO different, two total different lives...they really proved opposites attract!
There is a cast of characters here that I could see getting invested in and I hope RB writes their stories as well.
Holy WOW!!! I did not see some of those twists and turns coming!
I am definitely loving this series and Arlan and Luciana were great together. I'm usually pretty good at seeing what's coming in a book, and I saw some of these twists, but there were some major hits that were NOWHERE on my radar. Kudos to the author on that. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this series goes next!
I really enjoyed this book. I have not read the first book in the series ( I definitely plan to) but I didn’t really feel like I missed anything. The plot was good an the book was very well written. I’ll definitely be reading more. I received an arc for an honest review.
Spoilers: A trend we can add to books these days are books about motorcycles and motorcycle enthusiasts, including gangs and clubs. First, I reviewed Lawless Justice by Karina Kantas, a psychological thriller about a gang of female vigilantes who ride their bikes to take vengeance against abusive lovers and white supremacists. Then, I reviewed Sleeping Around in America Revisiting the Roadside Motel, Andrew Beattie's photographic travelogue about visiting America's strangest motels via motorcycle. The third book about the love affair with getting the motor running and heading out on the highway is Die For Her by R.B. Hilliard, the latest in her Steele Raiders MC series. Think of the Steele Raiders as the male counterparts to Karina Kantas' Kittnz, though with slight differences in writing and characterization. Whereas, Kantas treated her Lawless Justice protagonists like a team of female superheroes, or specifically a team of female super-antiheroes, Die For Her seems to borrow from another, earlier genre.
Die For Her is reminiscent of a modern Western with motorcycles replacing horses, as the noble steeds of choice. You have the club of good men, particularly their stalwart good hearted but gruff leader who make their own laws and are none too shy about enforcing them. You have the gentle good-hearted lady (who believe it or not yes works at a school though, not a teacher, a counselor) who is in a whole heap of trouble with some sinister bad men and needs to be protected by the good men. There are the bad girls with hearts of gold, though they are biker's girlfriends, called Ol' Ladies, not hookers, who hang out and service the fellas. There are the clear bad men who make things worse by selling drugs and murdering eyewitnesses. There are also the ineffectual lawmen who exist in these books solely to hide behind their badges and get in the way of our good hearted noble gang of vigilantes.
This motorcycle club of mostly good men are the Steele Raiders, a club once headed by Grizz Steele. Well, Grizz has gone off to that motorcycle clubhouse in the sky and his role as club president has been taken over by his son, Arlan. In fact, Grizz's death has left a huge gaping hole in the club and has made them enemies with local drug dealers. Arlan is trying to hold onto his legacy of the Raiders but still has to deal with competition within the club members for leadership positions, fights with the Ol' Ladies for the attention of the men, and the disgust of his brother, Carver, a police officer.
Arlan is introduced by family friends to Luciana "Lulu" Ferina. A bit too quickly, the two become lovers. Three months later, Lulu visits a troubled student and witnesses a murder. She first goes to the police, but just as quickly sneaks away when she realizes that one of the assassins is a cop. So with no other alternative, she calls Arlan and hides out at the Raiders' clubhouse. While at the clubhouse, she gets to know more about Arlan, the Raiders, the Ol' Ladies, and their friends and enemies.
While Lawless Justice looks at its gang with equal parts admiration for their feminism and independence and criticism for their extremely violent natures, Die For Her is clearly on the side of the Raiders. There isn't much gray area with their antagonists. The dealers are pure evil. The law enforcement are either corrupt or ineffectual. The Raiders are on the side of right and do their best to protect those they care about. Even if it means to commit bloody ends, particularly to characters, that as far as the book is concerned, deserve it. I am not kidding when I compare Arlan Steele to a cowboy. He is like a character played by Gary Cooper, John Wayne, Kevin Costner, or Viggo Mortenson: a real manly man who doesn't speak much but when he does, it's important. He's not a toxic male, in that he has a sensitive side that is very protective of Lulu and others. But he would definitely be at home posing for a Harley or Marlboro ad.
While Hilliard shows praise to the Raiders, she does on occasion reveal a dark side to the life of one completely involved with the motorcycle clubs. Arlan's widowed mother despairs that for her late husband, the club was the most important thing in his life and it's members were above her in importance. She fears that the same thing will happen with her son as well. There is also tremendous rivalry within and outside the gang. One member goes to great lengths to vie against another when Arlan declares him as vice president. Carver becomes a police officer partly to break away from the closeness shared between Grizz and Arlan in which he felt left out. One member turns traitor for the almighty dollar and and two others hide gambling and drug addictions to keep up with the fast life.
The female characters are unfortunately very undeveloped. They are either damsels in distress like Lulu, mothers, or biker girls. The Ol' Ladies and younger ones, called The Girls, appear to have very little to do but sleep with the male bikers, possibly get married, and gossip about Lulu, the new woman in their midst. They are the biker equivalent of rock and roll groupies, there to make the men feel good with little reason of their own. There is even a line where one of the Raiders dismisses the idea of female club members that are bikers, rather than just hangers-on. This Reader gets a hilarious delight imagining the Steele Raiders going up against the Kittnz of Karina Kantas' Lawless Justice. That would be a very interesting and entertaining battle of the sexes.
Despite the modern milieu and motorcycles, there is something old fashioned about Die For Her that many Readers will like. It conjures up a simple of time of good vs. evil, where the lines are clearly drawn and good people will do anything for the ones that they love and swear to protect.
I'm an avid lover of MC novels so when they are offered for review, I tend to jump on them even when I know nothing of the series or the author. This was the case with Die for Her and new-to-me author RB Hilliard.
Arlan Steele is the president of the Steele Raiders MC and is dealing with the aftermath of a bloodbath that took his father and several members of the MC from them. With all Steele's many responsibilities, he has neither the time nor the inclination for a relationship. From the moment he meets Luciana aka Lulu, he knows she's different and the furthest thing from what he needs in his life but that doesn't stop him from wanting her desperately. Starting something with her is an ill-advised eventuality though. They're simply too drawn to one another. He loves that she has no idea who he really is and he can be just "Arlan" with her and not Steele. But when she finds out who he really is and all he's kept from her, he knows it'll be too much.
Lulu is a good girl. Dedicated to her students and loved by all, she lives a good, if a tad boring, life. Meeting Arlan highlights the action missing in her life and she's impossibly attracted to the big bad boy. She knows there's more to him than he's telling her but she had no idea how much more. Despite their intense attraction, she refuses to be with him if he's not honest with her and they go their separate ways but when she sees something she isn't supposed to see, Arlan is the only one who can protect her.
Die for Her is the second book in the series and while it can be read as a standalone, I do believe my enjoyment would've been enhanced by knowing the characters and their backstories a bit more. The Steele Raiders are very fractured right now and going through a great deal of turmoil. Feeling more for the original members of the club and experiencing their loss would've made me care more about these characters. Unfortunately while I liked Lulu very much, I lacked a connection with these characters, so while it was a good story and there were definitely hot moments, I just didn't CARE about them the way I normally do with my MC characters. Despite that, there is a good story here and I think the upcoming stories, as the club returns to it's roots, etc will definitely be worth the read.

A terrific second story in this action-filled MC series. I really like this series with lots of drama, suspense, and an always swoon-worthy romance. This isn't a dark and dirty MC but there's enough of the MC elements to make this a fantastic read. Hot brothers, club girls, club drama, ole ladies, bad cops, and a rival club. Arlan Steele is the President of a club founded by his forefathers and is struggling with all his duties. The Steele Raiders is a club rebuilding after being massacre by a rival. The loss of so many brothers was crippling and caused the heir apparent to take the throne before his time. Steele just wants to be Arlan again without the heavy mantle of his office weighing him down and when he meets the vivacious Luciana without her knowing who his is he has a few weeks of just being a man spending time with a beautiful woman. Luciana aka Lulu is new to town so she doesn't know anything about the MC or it's President. The two hit it off and are so hot and sexy! As problems arise with the MC that take Steele's attention, Lulu wants more than late night encounters and missed calls. But it's not long before the feisty school counselor is in trouble with an old foe of the MC's. She has no where to turn with dirty cops and thugs after her. A run to the MC has her under their protection and living in the Cave aka clubhouse with all brothers and club girls. She is quickly immersed in the house drama when the club goes on lockdown. As Lulu and Arlan are in close quarters it's not long before the two are back in each other's arms. Did I say these two where hot? Smoking! Steele is such a bossy alpha that's just panty melting. The danger ramps up as the bodies start piling up and a rat is in the mix. The traitors are outed and more lives are lost but Steele makes headway in repairing his relationship with his cop brother. I love these brothers with a terrific group of ole ladies and the family atmosphere. Well written with wonderful characters and a MC brotherhood fighting for a future. Loads of action along with a heart-throbbing romance makes this worth the read. I can't wait for the next installment because these Steele Raiders are spectacular! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Everyone knows that I'm addicted to MC books. And to top it all, to have it written by and author that you love it's the cherry on top of the best chocolate cake. RB Hilliard has a special place in my heart. Her books are stunning and intense. Each book made me want to read more and more. When she told us that she was writing an MC series I was on cloud nine. Dayum... Things were going to be awesome. Die for Her is her latest release and it's the second book from the Steele Raiders MC. Just one side note read Bleed for Her first. Despite the fact that the books are standalone I advise you to read them all. This new book explores the lives of Arlan and Luciana. Arlan is the president of the Steele Raiders MC. Whit that position came more responsibilities and duties. He doesn't have time, nor the desire to be in a relationship but when Luciana appears... Luciana has a steady life she always wanted. A job she loves and her life on track. She knows what she wants without risking it until Arlan... No words. I was left with no words after this book ended. Why did it end so soon? I wanted to keep reading and reading... Why is it that the books you love end so soon? Why??? Freaking awesome plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense with a touch of suspense and hotness. Oh yeah. One minute things were in a way and then snap... They changed. It was refreshing actually. I knew that this book would be like this, mainly because the first book from this series was just like that. Suspense was a major factor in the hole story and you will have some hot stuff into the mix. These characters started in a way that I wanted to slap one of them but then they changed and things started to make sense. It wasn't a bed of roses and that made this story even more appealing. I can't wait to have more. RB Hilliard, you my dear are amazing. This book just made my day and I couldn't stop reading even if I could. Please tell me that Ax's story is the next one? Please... I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I luuuuurved Steel!! I really did. I can already see this becoming one of my favorite MC series! My only complaint is i wanted more more more!
I instantly felt sorry for Steel. I felt the pressure he was under. I felt the stress pouring off him. From a young age the pressure was on him. When he meets Luciana he knows he can't bring her into his life because of who he is but when the opportunity comes up for him to just be the man Arlan he takes it. What he didn't figure was the way she'd end up getting under his skin. The way he would need her to be part of his life to calm the chaos of the rest of it.
Luciana was the perfect match for him. She's calm and level headed. When trouble comes her way she doesn't freak out she tries to find a solution. Which brings her back to Steel. Her heart isn't too keen on the idea but she does it anyway.
When the proverbial hits the fan Steel finally gives up the fight. When he realises he would do anything to protect her he accepts that she's his. Now he just needed to make her see it.
I loved how Luciana just seemed to accept club life. She embraced it and learned about it and it felt like she'd always been there.
When they got together it sparked electricity off the pages. Hard and passionate scenes ensue and i loved every second of them.
The storyline and pace of the book was fast and exciting. It kept me reading not stopping till the end. I loved the club politics and i can't wait to see more! The betrayal will be hard to overcome but i know they will! I'm hoping Steel's cousin is up next! He needs to get outta his own head and claim that girl! I also want his brothers story!
Highly recommend! Keeping everything crossed this turns out to be a long long series. I'm settling in for the long haul!
I’ve been a fan of RB for a couple of years. When she mentioned she was venturing into the MC sub genre I was so excited; bc it’s a favorite of mine.
In Bleed for Her we got to see an angsty star-crossed lover story find a HEA but of course not before drama and some bloodshed (If you haven’t read it you should).
During that book we met Steele; and I’ll be honest I was not the biggest fan of him. Mainly because he kept this pos member as his VP, if you read it you get the anger/annoyance I had for that character. Anyways with Steele being the President I felt like he wasn’t doing what was best for the club.
One of my favorite things about writers, is that they can give you a character you might have dislike for or possibly loathe and then give you their story and completely change your viewpoint of said character. Case in point, this is how I feel about Steele. As I was reading his story and learning his experiences and expectations, I found myself really rooting for him!
Also, I’m pretty good at figuring who the antagonist is in most books generally before I’m halfway through the story (if it’s not already noted prior to the start of the book). However, I was almost completely blindsided with the change of events and final conclusion to this book. It definitely sets up the next book to have a lot more possibilities for twists and turns.
If you want something that is steamy and will keep you guessing, don’t dive but cannonball into this story.
Book 2 of a fabulous MC series. Can be read as stand alone but better read in order. Arlan Steele the president of the Steele Raiders MC is dealing with the aftermath of a bloodbath that took his father and numerous members of the MC. With all Steele's many responsibilities, he has neither the time nor wish for a relationship. However from the first time he meets Luciana aka Lulu, he knows she's somewhat different and definitely not a distraction he needs right now, but that doesn't stop him from wanting and lusting after her. They both are drawn to each other and he loves that she has no idea who he really is and he can be just Arlan to her not Steele!!! He loves the freedom he feels just being Arlan with her. Lulu is the good girl that lives next door, she lives a quiet, some may say boring lifestyle, she is dedicated to her students and is happy just as is. Meeting Arlan shows her what she’s been missing in her life and she's attracted to his bad boy persona. Lulu knows there's more to him than he's telling her but she had no idea of what it may be. Arlan is hiding so much and lulu knows it and she refuses to be with him without honesty sothey go their separate ways. After she Witnesses something she isn't supposed to Arlan is the only one who can protect her.
Oh man I love R.B. Hilliard's book so much. I can't get enough of these Steel Raiders MC men. You will not want to put them down once you crack it open. Now you don't have to read them in order but that is always better in my mind. The only problem I have is that it has been so long since the last one came out that I forget what it is about. It doesn't take away from my love of the story and after some brushing up it all came back but I would love to get my hands on them more often but life happens.
The build up of their relationship is one that has you just waiting for the shoe to drop. He really messes up and his attitude about it really irked me but hey he is an MC prez so he isn't going to be all touchy feely per se so I get it. Not to mention all the crap that is happening with the MC has him stressed and just wanting to step away from all the drama not have more.
Both of these characters think that they can stay away from each other, that the draw isn't going to make that impossible and all seems that way until she needs help. Is the grief, lies and drama from the club girls worth it? Will Steele open up finally? Will they be willing to give it another go? Will Steele let her walk out of his life again?
This is a MUST read book. I think that you will absolutely love it. I have been in a reading funk the past several months but I flew through this book.
This is my first book by the author. I will say it started out kinda slow for me, but really picked up the pace the further I got into the book. The writing flows really well and the secondary characters really help the story along. All and all I did enjoy the story it just took me a little bit to get into it. Arlan is the president of the SRMC. He is kinda broody, kinda of an a$$, and a full blown alpha male to the core. When he meets Luciana he feels their worlds are totally different and tries to stay away. As in true alpha mode he doesn't see what he is missing until all he can do is miss it. Luciana is a strong independent woman that knows what she wants in life. As you will see the problem lies in the fact that their communication skills are lacking.. Fast forward to where Luciana finds out she really needs Steeles help. This is where the book really picked up for me. The mystery and suspense left me guessing. Just when I thought I had it figured out I got slapped upside the face with the huge twist the author gives us. I love it when an author throws in a twist that leaves me reeling.
