Let me sum this up for you in a few words: Navy SEAL, Cajun accent. I'll let you marinade on that for a bit.

What? You need more? Pfft! Clearly you're not easy like me. But this may also be the case because I'm obsessed with all things Lynn Raye Harris. I've been a huge fan of hers since the very first HOT book, and suffice it to say I'm thoroughly enjoying the spin-off with some hot Navy SEALs.

Now the order of the book may be confusing, so let me explain. Hot SEAL marked book 1 in Harris's HOT SEAL Team spin-off. While the time line follows the rest of the HOT books, there is a slew of new characters introduced in the form of a SEAL team that works with the HOT men. Still with me? Good. And while it's book #11 in the HOT series and #2 in the HOT SEAL series, each book may be enjoyed as a standalone as it's a different couple with their own HEA in each book. The author gives plenty of background so the reader will never be lost. Unless you're one of my series OCD friends. In that case pretend you didn't just read the aforementioned, kay? Great!

Moving on to the review...

Christina Girard is Matt Girard's younger sister from Hot Pursuit but we don't really get to know her until this book. So if you haven't yet read Hot Pursuit, no worries. You won't have any trouble jumping right in. (Sorry, OCD friends. Ignore this too)

After the scandal of her husband's affair implodes her life, she's left shattered, unable to trust any man. Her family life and especially her father just further solidify her stance. Her divorce almost final, she goes out to spend time with her friends and lays eyes on the incredibly sexy SEAL, Remy Marchand. Remy is immediately taken with Christina and wants to explore their attraction further, but all Christina wants from him is one night to explore the chemistry between them.

He wanted it to be more, but she didn't. And that pissed him off.

One sizzling night together is all they have before Christina runs scared. Now it's six months later and Remy is part of the mission sent to infiltrate war-torn Qu’rim and get Christina and a few other US citizens out before they're discovered and captured by dangerous rebels. Now they're forced to deal with all the unanswered tension and questions between them, but can Christina learn to trust again in order to let Remy in?

But I'm scared. I'm scared it's too soon and I don't know what I'm doing. I'm scared you aren't what you seem to be, and that tomorrow you'll walk away- I'm scared of so many things.

Considering these two spend the night together pretty early into the book, I was a little afraid it'll be the case of insta love. That wasn't it at all. If anything, there was the added spice of second chance romance mixed in with their reunion months later. Remy is understandably angry with her and gone is the sweet man that Christina first met. In his place is the angry, slightly bitter SEAL with an air of danger around him. There was plenty of tension and burn to make this romance deliciously sexy.

It takes Christina some time to really come into her own, but I enjoyed watching her growth throughout the story.

She'd let him back into her life, and she had to ride out the storm to see where it went. She just hoped there was some little piece of her left when the storm was over.

While it wasn't my favorite book in the series (but I'm a touch biased since I'm practically salivating for Ian Black's book), it was definitely a satisfying installment in what's become one of my go-to romantic suspense series.

Harris has become synonymous for me with heart-pounding and deliciously sexy romantic suspense. Her heroes are just the right amount of protective and intense with an air of danger around them. Her heroines are strong and assertive. Her romance sizzling hot and addictive. If you haven't discovered this series yet, you're seriously missing out. I'm not just recommending it, I'm insisting you read it. It's that good.

HOT SEAL Lover was my first Lynn Raye Harris book and I really enjoyed it. The plot was well planned out and the characters so well-crafted that I stayed totally enthralled until the very last page. I can't wait to read more from this series with so many awesome protective military men to discover…❤️

This is another great read from Lynn Raye Harris. It delivers all the things we expect from her: hot alpha guys, fast-paced action, a hero and heroine laden with ‘issues’ and a connection between them so strong it can’t be denied [although they try, REALLY try], hot sex scenes and a satisfying conclusion. For those who have been following the series we also see many of the characters we have grown to know and love along the way.

I must admit to occasionally wanting to smack the heroine. Her issues led her to a one night stand with the hero and then she left. The hero has his own problems, especially the guilt he feels for not rescuing his sister. Things might have stopped there if there wasn’t a revolution…

When the rebels trap a bunch of Americans [including Christina] the hero’s team is missioned in to get them out of the war zone. It’s a long and dangerous journey and adrenaline is a great prioritizer. Sometimes the truth does set you free…

A great story with a happy ending. What more can one ask?

Can you read this as a stand alone? Yes. Is it better if you read it as part of the series? Yes, it enriches the reading experience if you do. No, you don’t have to read them in order but again, it is better if you do.

If you like a book with a HOT tattooed, sexy, tough man who talks sexy(dirty) and is also protective this book is for you. Hot Seal Lover by Lynn Raye Harris is book #2 in The HOT Seal Team series and is another winner in my book. Cajun Remy Marchand is a member of the HOT(Hostile Operations Team) Seal team who meets Christina Gerard(who wants to let lose for once in her life). You see Christina is currently seeking a divorce and was publicly humiliated when her politically minded husband was caught having sex in a restroom with another man. Not wanting to get involved Christina thought a one night stand is all she wants. After one night of hot sex, Christina pushes Remy away by not answering his phone calls, leading Remy to finally giving up on her. But lo and behold life has a way of getting two people back together, for when Christina (who is on a business trip) needs to be evacuated to safety because of a dangerous situation, the HOT Seal Team is called in and Remy and Christina are thrown back together again.
Have I caught your interest yet, I encourage you to read the book to find out what happens next, leading Remy and Christina's HEA, you will not be disappointed I wasn't. There is alot of revisited characters from the other HOT books in this book, which I loved! There is alot of emotions that is explored both in Remy and Christina's lives in this book! So if you like hot sex, a hot Cajun talking man(especially when he calls Christina "cher"), a woman who falls hard, this book is for you!! This book held my interest from page 1. Looking forward to more books by Lynn Raye Harris.

This is the the second book in this fantastic spin off series, and I would love to know where the author gets her inspiration to always come up with a book that surpasses the previous ones....because every single time they get better and better and not to mention freaking hotter and hotter.

It is no secret that I love the HOT boys and now the Navy SEAL's. They are always exactly the way I love my Hero's. They are alpha to the core and they know how to look after their ladies. I loved Remy, because not only does he embody the above but he was also wanting to pursue a relationship with the heroine from the start, which to me stood out, because he was not looking for a one night stand. This is of course where the problem comes in because this is exactly what our heroine wants......Now I liked Christina alot and I understand that her ex did a number on her, because to be humiliated the ways she was would make anybody weary, but it also got a little old, because of the way she kept pushing Remy away. I felt sorry for him, but of course like any good Hero is he kept on pursing her till he was able to capture her once and for all.

I loved seeing more of Matt and Evie, as they are the characters that kick started all this and incase you didn't know, Christina is Matt's sister from the very first book when Matt went home for her wedding.

The book is jam packed with action from start to finish and I guarantee you will love every minute. Cant wait for the next installment.....:)

Hot Seal Lover was the second book in the Hot Seal Team series by Lynn Raye Harris.

Remy “Cage” Marchand was a Navy Seal and member of HOT, Hostile Operations Team, a black ops group. He met Christina Girard through her brother Matt, a fellow team member. They had a hot one night stand and then Christina took her ton of baggage with her and ghosted him. He hadn’t seen her since until his team was called in to rescue her from a war torn country, which she was visiting for her Company, Girard Oil.

Harris took us through an action packed and suspenseful plot while navigating Christina’s past relationship baggage. It was a quick, easy and enjoyable read. Harris also included intriguing glimpses of the rest of the HOT team as teasers for the series. I can’t wait for Cash’s story but in the meantime, Cody “Cowboy” McCormick is up next in Hot Seal Rescue.

I adore both the HOT series and now the HOT Seal series from Lynn Raye Harris. I love the two teams work together so often that I get to see all my favorite characters from past books in the new books. I was absolutely captivated from the very first page of HOT SEAL LOVER and didn't want to put it down.

First let me just say I have mad love for Remy Marchand. Hello, he is a SEAL, but he also has a sense of honor that is deeply ingrained in him that goes beyond the uniform. I loved that even though he was insanely attracted to Christina from the very first moment he saw her, he wanted to take things a little slower to make sure she was ready for that next step. Let me just say Remy and Christina had smoking hot chemistry. I loved Remy and Christina together. I totally got Christina being so cautious about another relationship based upon her ex-husband cheating on her with another man. I could tell Christina was completely into Remy, but her desire to only have a one-night stand with Remy really didn't make sense to me. He is hot, yummy, and an honorable man, who was completely into her.

When Remy and his team were called in to rescue Christina and other Americans from Qu'rim, I knew it wouldn't take long for the sparks to fly between Christina and Remy again. I have to say after how Christina blew Remy off, I was pretty happy for him to show some anger towards her, not only for blowing him off, but for no listening when he had warned her it was a bad idea to come to Qu'rim. I have to say i love how hard the HOT SEAL team worked to keep everyone safe and loved watching all of Remy's team give him a hard time about Christina. The action in Qu'rim between the HOT SEALs and the enemy is what I've come to expect from Lynn Raye Harris. Fast-paced, action filled with the team protecting the civilians and always putting their charges above themselves. I am always on the edge of my seat reading when the team is on a mission, and it was no different this time.

I loved that Remy and Christina found a common ground for their relationship while in a war zone. The fact that Remy and Christina's brother are in the same line of work was eye opening for Christina and I think it made her respect and love both men more. I only had one issue with the story and that was Christina's ex coming back into the picture once she and Remy were dating. I knew it could be bad early on, and my fears were realized. The fact that Christina wanted to protect Remy every bit as much as he wanted to protect her made me love her character even more.

HOT SEAL LOVER was a great addition to the HOT Seal Team series. I find myself falling more and more in love with these characters with each story. I love that each book allows me to spend time with characters from past books and try and figure out who will get the next book in the series.

Christina Girard has been through so much in her young years. She's had an alcoholic dad, an overbearing brother, a sexually confused ex-husband and now she's stuck in the middle of a civil war in Baq. Her rescuers are none other than her brother's friends and her one night stand, Cage. Cage is the guy every girl wants because he's not afraid of his feelings and goes for what he wants. Christina is a tough cookie as she gets through this rescue mission never shedding a tear and never complaining. Plenty of familiar names to remember from the other HOT books and we even get to revisit with Evie and Matt for a bit, along with Ivy and Dane. This series has so much mileage left before she runs out of incredibly sexy and strong guys, I hope it never stops. My copy was given by the author my honest review.

I've read and own all the other HOT books written by Miss Harris, so when I got a chance to receive an ARC, I was beyond excited. (It's kind of embarrassing how excited I was, actually.) If you're not familiar with the HOT books, you don't have to read them to understand HOT Seal Lover, but knowledge of other characters and plotlines lend an extra layer of depth that I love.

I despise spoilers, so I'll do my best not to go there...

I think this is one of my favorite books in the HOT universe, for a few reasons. For one, I've always wanted to know how Christina was doing, since we first met her way-back-when, in her brother's book. Second, I loved Remy. To me he's a realistic Hero, because sure, he's a SEAL, but he's also a pretty normal, down to earth guy. He isn't looking for a relationship, but he doesn't have any crazy psychological hang-ups that keep him from wanting one, either. He's patient and honest, and just the right type of person to give Christina stability, and a safe harbor when she needs one. He's also smart enough to realize he can't go completely Cave Man on her and expect her to be OK with that.

I also loved seeing characters from other books, especially Ian Black. What's he up? Why is he there? It's kinda like a drive-by cameo, seeing him appear as a supporting character; gives long-time readers their fix, keeping them wondering, while introducing him to new readers in a way that makes them think, "what's the big deal about this guy?" Very clever, and so much fun. (Kind of like seeing your favorite Marvel super hero in an otherwise unrelated movie, and going all Fanboy. Fun!)

If you've read any of Miss Harris' HOT books, you're going to love this one, too. If you haven't, you're in for a treat. But only if you like your Heroes of the Military variety, your Heroines highly intelligent, plots that are complex and surprising, and a side of crazy-steamy love scenes.

She's done it again! Author Lynn Raye Harris has successfully built a world with our original amazing alpha men we love and new alpha men that we can adore just as much. We get our Alpha Squad HOT men in little spurts, our new SEAL team, even a peek at Mendez's future replacement??(say what? I'm a huge Col Mendez fan!), and my personal current curiosity inducing man Ian Black!

Now for this story, I was so happy to see that our female lead was Christina Girard(yes, Matt's sister) and while at times I wanted to shake her for some of her choices and general lack of conviction to give Remy the chance he deserved I can't say it wasn't deserved reservations on her part. And Remy....oh Cage....you sexy very alpha yummy Cajun, you were perfect for Christina! The action we've come to expect is here, the connection between the characters is palpable and the sex is so STEAMY!

For lovers of the HOT series this is an absolute must read, and for those that haven't read any yet I highly recommend starting with Matt and Evie's story and working your way to this couple. It's not necessary but to truly appreciate the connections the characters have with one another it's a must. You won't be disappointed...promise!! Now I'm not sure who I want more on next Ian or maybe Ghost or perhaps Cash(I'm leaning this way though)!

Another audiobook for me. I really like Aiden Snow’s voice, but his ‘Cajun’ accent is a bit much. Other than that, I can listen to him talk all day…read me the manual of how to assemble a cabinet and I’m good 😍😂. His female impressions are good, too.

I didn’t love this one, but I didn’t hate it. It was all right. But crap, I have to finish this out…so on to the 3rd audiobook. 📖🎧

If you enjoyed Matt and Evie, just wait until another smooth, sweet talkin' Cajun comes to play. In this newest HOT SEAL Team book, a spin off of Lynn Raye Harris's Hostile Operations Team series, we meet Matt Girard's sister, Christina, and his buddy on the HOT SEAL team, Remy. In a great move on the author's part to give us some backstory, we go back a few months to when Remy and Christina first meet. She was coming out of a civil, yet very public (and not for great reasons) divorce and had some lingering trust issues. But Remy made her feel something.

And after, she ran.

When the SEAL team heads on a mission though, the last person Remy expects to be their saving target (but only on that first thought, because it is so totally her), it's Christina Girard.

From the beginning, with or without their initial interlude, as a reader you can sense just the type of protective instinct Remy has for Christina. It is thick, yet not quite overbearing. I loved watching him stand up for her right away to some of his team members -- even if she's given him no reason to. She hasn't called. She hasn't text. She hasn't spoken to him. And it hurts him, although he won't say it.

The chemistry with these two was intense, too. Easy to see how they fall into one another yet again. More than the coupling of Remy and Christina though, I truly adored seeing more of Matt and Evie. Matt is that brother -- the really good one that all you older sisters wish you had above you. We also see some of the SEAL members (my goodness, I love the way they talk; LRH put some realness to those boys' conversations), but we get more Ivy and Viking -- and I have to say, Viking had his comical relief moments (hey, girls talk...).

"...So is it over for good? Or is there still a chance?"

Remy shrugged. "Don't know. Might be a chance. Not entirely sure I want to take it though."

"Always take the chance," Viking said, his expression serious. "If you don't, you'll never know what you missed. Life doesn't often hand us a second chance. I say grab on with both hands and don't let go when it does."

The character I loved the most had to be Remy. He had some grief moments and guilt where a sibling was concerned, but his need to claim Christina, to help her, to heal her, to simply love her, was all-consuming. He had his cocky lines -- and I truly loved them! He never came off as cocky; his lines were more of a characteristic of his. He used them when happy, when sad, when in good situations, and in not so good situations. They were simply "him".

A great addition for any LRH fan, HOT fan, or even a military romance fan.

This is the second book in the spin off HOT SEAL Team series and as always, Harris delivers an action packed read. I like where the series is going (I know it's early days), but I feel like the parallels with multiple HOT teams that are in play in the original HOT Series are reflected in the spin off and it makes sense to explore those other teams.

We open with our hero & heroine at a BBQ with some of the HOT operators and their families. Christina Girard Scott (sister of Matt Girard the hero from the first book), is nursing a broken heart after her husband is caught cheating, she's lost confidence in herself and when she sees Remy Marchand she wants one night that will make her forget. Needless to say, there is one hot night in D.C and then she disappears from Remy's life. Fast forward and the action returns us to Qu'rim, where Christina has gone to broker an oil deal. The enemy are closing in a Remy is tasked with getting her to safety. There are sparks flying when they finally come face to face again.

One of the things I like about Remy is that he's an alpha but he's not a douchecanoe. A lot of the time alpha heroes are written the opposite way. So it's refreshing to see. And I seriously can't go past a boy with an accent, I could listen to that for hours. I liked that Christina could take care of herself, but she knew when to ask from help. I enjoyed the H&H opening up to each other, they're both dealing with damage from their past. And there are some sweet moments when they finally trust each other with their secrets and their hearts, (corny I know, but true!).

Probably the only thing I didn't enjoy was the story line with Ben, Christina's ex. I can't quite put my finger on why, I need to reread and think a little more on that.

Over all, this was ticking all the boxes. A likable Hero, a couple with hotter than hot chemistry. We got to revisit with Matt and Evie, which I always love doing with characters in ongoing series. I love the way Harris writes the banter between her male characters. A cracking read as always and another great installment in the HOT universe. I would definitely recommend reading this series. And as always - you don't have to read in series order, but why would you want to skip the hotboys.

One more great addition to the HOT world. This is the 2nd book for the HOT SEAL Team, a sub-series of the already established HOT series. Their worlds intertwine closely so you get to see several favorite past couples. A few months ago when Matt and Evie's prequel was released, my first thought was how we missed seeing his sister Christina get a story. (Reckless Heat is the prequel/book 0.5 to their full story in book 1 (Hot Pursuit) I was so excited we get Christina's story after all! Although she did get married in book 1, she's back and single and Remy Marchand is her match. This book is about Christina healing and learning to trust again after her ex-husband spectacularly cheated on her. Remy is all in from the beginning (which I LOVED), but it takes her some time. There's a little action and adventure, but not as much as previous books in the series. Most of the other books are advancing the overall world/plot along, but this one is more focused on Christina/Remy personally. Due to that, you could almost read it as a standalone, but you're cheating yourself from reading some great stories. We do get a bit of Ian Black while they're on the run trying to get out of Qu'rim. Swoon. One day we'll get his story...

This is Christina and Remy’s story. Christina is broken. He husband was caught cheating and now they are going through a divorce. The sparks fly the first time Christina and Remy meet. Can she get one night and walk away? She is not ready for more. When he has to rescue her and protect her from a mission they spend a lot of time together. They really get to know each other and decide to give a relationship a chance. But when they get back on US soil will she ever see Remy again or was he just after a few nights on the run? What happens when her ex wants her back? Will she have a choice or will the choice be taken from her?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Remy "Cage" Marchand meets Christina Girard not long after her breakup with her husband.  Remy is a teammate of Christina's brother, Matt and he is intrigued by her.  She is very attracted to Remy from the moment she meets him, but her soon-to-be ex-husband has made it very difficult for her to trust the intentions of any man other than her brother.  So when Remy and Christina have one night together, the attraction between them sends Christina running for the hills.  But when Christina is trapped in a war zone while on a business trip, HOT's SEAL team (including Remy) is sent in to rescue her and some other civilians from the area. 

To say I was excited to read HOT SEAL Lover would be an understatement and it lived up to my expectations!  Ms. Harris writes amazing heroes and heroines as well as some seriously intense action.  Not to mention the hot sex scenes!  Remy is a great character, not only is he a SEAL but he's Cajun too.  I really liked Christina as well, she is smart, brave and no-nonsense.   The HOT series and now the HOT SEAL series are some of my favorite books and the guys get sexier every time.  My only complaint is...can we get some more Colonel Mendez?  PLEASE?!

I think this is the book I’ve been waiting for since I started reading this series. There was just something about Matt’s quiet yet spunky little sister that drew me in. (So much so that before I’d finished reading the first book, I had to go and check to make sure that she’d get one of her own.) I loved Christina and Remy together. They faced overwhelming odds and not only survived but triumphed every time. This might even be my favorite book from the author so far. I can’t wait to dig into the next one.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is my 11th book in the H.O.T. series that I have read and it is one of the best! I enjoyed Christina and Remy story so much. I love the crossover with the Alpha squad and the SEALs squad. Christina is a woman who has been betrayed in the most embarrassing way by her soon to be ex-husband. Remy is fighting his own demons from the past. He feels guilt over his twin Roxie's death. He doesn't understand why he couldn't prevent it. Christina is tired of everyone expecting her to be the good southern girl and expecting her to do what is right. One night of fun is all she wants. She finds it in Remy's arms and then gets scared and runs. Remy wants to do right by her but is never given the chance at first after their one night. They meet up again when Remy and his team have to go and rescue her and five others from Qu'rim. They both try at the beginning to guard their hearts and fail miserably. Even in a war torn area they can no longer deny how they feel about one another and Christina finally realize she loves Reny. Reny will do anything to keep Christina safe. Once they return home they start their relationship over again. Christina's ex Ben wants her back and thinks he has done nothing wrong. He has clearly gone off the deep end. Remy saves Christina with help from his team. Christina is Matt Girard's little sister and of course Mat being the leader of the Alpha squad is very protective of her. He realizes Remy will do anything for Christina. I loved the tie in with some of the characters from the original H.O.T. series and look forward to the rest of the series. Christina and Remy get their HEA! What more can you ask for?!

Love it!!! I love Remy and Christina as a couple!!! When they met the attraction was so strong that it couldn't be denied. Both of them dealing with past issues and wasn't looking for anything more than some quick satisfaction. Christina pulled the man thing on him. She used him for sex and didn't answer the phone when he called. Bought a smile to my face. Now it's some months later and she's in danger and guess whose knocking on the door to rescue her. He's still angry but duty comes first. I love how the story was written as they made the journey to safety. I felt as if I was in that moment with them, felt the fear and the relief. But even the danger couldn't keep them away from each other. The hot sex scenes are on fire with one strong woman and a fierce alpha male. The stories just keep getting better. I'm looking forward to the next books.

I loved Remmy and Christina. I really loved how Remy, was with her. He might me a tough Navy SEAL but he has a heart of gold, and he is a teddy bear....

Christina, just got out of a bad marriage her soon to be Ex-husband was cheating on her. She hooks up with Remy of a Night of HOT Passionate Love making. She runs away, from her feelings for Remy scared of getting hurt... She doesn't see him, until months later where him and his SEAL have to rescue her. You see the SEALS do their rescue thing, and how they protect Civilians.

Well the sparks are still there, How does it play out? You will have to read it. But you will love this book it is full of action, romance and HOT Navy SEALS. The Sex Scenes OMG are off the chart.... Get it today!

This is the second installment in the spin off HOT SEAL Team series. It seems that the premise of this series is going to be the SEALs reconnecting with a lost love. Remy and Christina met and had a one night stand. Not because that was what he wanted, but because she was scared to commit after what happened with her husband. This book included some great action throughout the story. It kept me so enthralled that I read the book in one sitting. Great series thus far.

Holy hot! I can't get enough of the men and women in this series or the Hostile Operations series. I just want more.

Remy and Christina are absolutely amazing. Their chemistry nearly burned my iPad and their ability to be honest and sincere with one another was beautiful. Christina is another strong heroine that beautifully matches her hero.

I just NEED more!

Remy, dear lord, Remy is so perfect it’s hard to believe. Navy Seal, lots of tats, killer body, sweet, caring, and comfortable with his emotions.

Remy and Christina first showed up (for me) in Mendez and Kat’s Christmas story, and it kind of confused me but then I just thought that’s who she ended up married to in the first book (I couldn’t remember the name of who she’d married so), but after reading this book it makes sense. I think this book might be between Ryan and Chase’s book but I’m not sure.

So Christina is getting out of a marriage with her first husband, who cheated on her and got caught…with a man. Talk about a big scandal there right? So of course she’s not really in the market for anything new, yet when she sees Remy at Matt and Evie’s house, she can’t help but look and appreciate. And of course that happens every time they’re together until the finally end up sleeping together. Problem is, Christina only wants a one night stand and Remy knows he wants more.

So what happens when Christina disappears for six months and never answers his calls? Well of course Remy is upset. He thought they had something going and he really liked her.

Well now they’re stuck in the middle eastern together after Remy and his team had to come rescue her and some others. Talk about awkward. Yet the attraction and sparks is still there and it’s only a matter of time until they act on it again.

Since Christina is Matt’a sister, we get to see a lot of Matt and Evie and even get a couple chapters in their pov! This is also the book where they have their twins and we learn that their names are Christian and Alex. So cute! The little moments between this couple were so cute, like when Matt kissed Evie goodbye and then also kissed her pregnant belly! It was nice to revisit them a little bit.

I honestly can’t get over this book. Perfect amount of angst and romance, that tense action scene at the end-perfect. And of course the book isn’t complete without the perfect man.

Also Remy’s call sign is Cage since he’s Cajun, but I think there was a missed opportunity for it to be ratatouille!

Now it’s on to Cody’s book, which I’m excited about because I’ve heard some things through the other books!

This is the 2nd book of the series. However, you will understand more if you’ve read the Hostile Operations Team (HOT Team). Also, there are other books in the series I would read before continuing onto the series as it will help with understanding. These show up the HOT Team I mentioned above.

Our hero has been mentioned before in the HOT team series and works with our heroine’s brother. He knows he shouldn’t go near our heroine but can’t help himself. Afterwards, he knows he wants something more with her, but she won’t answer any of the communication ways he’s tried. Now he has to go and rescue her and he hopes they will get out without too much trouble and then he’ll deal with her brother.

Our heroine was in the first few books of the HOT team series as her brother in the main hero in that one, but he was home to go to her wedding which he did. Now it’s time for her to move on when her husband was caught in public with someone else. She just wants one night to be herself with a person who wants her not her money or position and she chooses our hero for that. Then she walks away from him because it was supposed to be only for one night, but feels bad each time he contacts her. She goes out of town to make a deal with someone and finds herself in the middle of a fire fight in the Middle East. Her brother in screaming at her on the phone to get out, but she was going to leave in the morning anyway so it’s nothing. However, when she finds herself in a hotel and left behind she knows she’s in trouble until someone comes to get her out.

The plot is good and fits in with what HOT was doing with the same towns and areas. Add in one of the other characters that are threaded in the series and it goes action packed. I can only imagine what was said when they find out which wasn’t covered by the book. The heroine is a bit air headed even though in some areas she doesn’t come across this way, but it kept me reading.

I’m not sure where the next book in the series will bring us.

Hot SEAL Lover

This is an amazing addition to this series with another team member of HOT SEALs, Remy reconnecting with Christina, Matt's sister another member of the unit. The one night stand was her terms having just coming out of a terrible marriage break up when he cheated with a transvestite knowingly. She no longer trusted men but she wanted to sleep with Remy. He tried calling for six months but she ignored him. Now he was on a mission to rescue civilians in Bu'rim in the middle east and She was one of them that needed saving. She went there to sign a contract with the Sheikh for her family company Girard Oil. This is where this exciting action packed story gets fabulous as their love story intensified as the HOT SEALs extract these innocent people from this difficult situation unharmed somehow but not easily. Christina realized the mistake she made the first time with Remy and was not doing that again. He wanted more and so did she this time when they got back to the States and if they got back there alive. It was interesting reading what they had to do to escape the country. Their love story was hot and he had to put his life on the line again when they were home when her ex husband went crazy. He was determined to save her because he did not save his twin sister when her husband killed her. This was one fabulous book as Remy and Christina got their happily ever after. I highly recommend this series.
