Reaching For Everything

Rate this book
Love Means Nothing in tennis, but Kami chooses it as a tattoo after her heart is shattered. Her mom’s death and a car crash that causes a career-ending injury make everything worse. Tired of the heartache, Kami decides it’s time to channel the dream she and her mom created. It’s time to open Kami’s Kamp, a tennis school for kids.

Being patient is a vital skill for Rayce LaChance. As a contractor and furniture maker, he knows that rushed decisions never pan out. Especially not in his personal life. When he broke up with Kami, he thought he was freeing her to pursue her career unhindered. Now, Kami’s back in town and proving the Ice Queen reputation she earned on the court carries over into her daily life.

When an obsessed fan becomes threatening, Rayce proves he’ll do anything to help, but Kami isn’t sure her heart is up to the risk.

They’ll both have to take chances if they’re going to find out if Love Means Nothing or Everything.

This one is my favourite so far. Rayce and Kami have a past and this second chance story breaks down the walls they’ve built up. Together they can move forward and claim the future, battle the past and heal in more ways than one. But it won’t be easy!

In Reaching for Everything: A Bloo Moose Romance by Jemi Fraser, walking again is the least of Kami Rogers's problems. She returns home to rebuild her life and a tennis school for kids as a legacy to her mother. The only problem the man who broke her heart, Rayce LaChance, still lives there, and it's a small town. So little in fact that Rayce is the man in charge of bringing her vision a reality. Can he manage the construction of her dream when his heart still yearns for his first love? A woman who can't even look him in the eye.

And it's his own fault. They say to keep love means you have to let it go, but in Kami and Rayce's case. He wrote her off. He didn't just let her go. He pushed her away.

In this story, threats on Kami's life ratchet up the suspense and make this romance even more enticing as these two come together to face the past and plan the future.

It's a story of first love equals forever love, but can these two figure that out before a stalker ruins everything?

Another brilliant love story with a whole lot of mystery and sadly the last of the Bloo Moose Romances, at least this year…because I know Jemi won't make us wait long too for the next one!

My third visit to Bloo Moose was just as wonderful as the first two. This time I met Kami. She grew up in Bloo Moose but left to become a tennis star. An accident destroyed her career. Now she’s back in Bloo Moose to build a tennis training center to help children find confidence, strength and an outlet—even if she may never play again.

Rayce and Kami were sweethearts before she left, but when Kami’s tennis career skyrocketed, he did what he thought was the manly thing to do and broke off their relationship. He didn’t want to get in the way of her dreams. But now that she’s back, the old flames have reignited—no matter how much they try to deny it—but first they need to overcome the old hurts. To make things complicated, Kami has a stalker that could end all her dreams.

There are a lot more characters in this one than the others, but I didn’t mind. I feel like I know the whole town now, and Bloo Moose is the perfect place to visit or even stay. I love how everyone is so protective of each other and fiercely loyal.

Another great read that had my heart fluttering. The ending was perfect.

I highly recommend the whole Bloo Moose series.

You don’t have to even like tennis to fall in love with the characters, setting, and storyline in REACHING FOR EVERYTHING.

Kami is vulnerable but determined and a fighter all the way. Rayce is strong and independent with a soft heart. The other characters, the good ones as opposed to mean, are ones you want to get to know even better. The author makes the main characters’ struggles and emotions come off the page as you follow their journey to reconnect. The story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming with a little heart stopping mixed in.

The story moves at a good pace mixing the focus on the characters as well as the setting holding your attention all the way. The author weaves mystery and suspense into this tantalizing reunion of former lovers. The couple’s back-and-forth attraction adds depth to the story.

This third installment in the Bloo Moose series can be read on its own but is much more enjoyable read in order of the series. Following the series, you will reconnect with characters you’ve already come to love.

This is a captivating story that will keep you hooked from the first paragraph to the last line.

Reaching for Everything is a second chance romance for Kami and Rayce. He broke up with her so she could pursue her dreams as a tennis star so I can understand her resentment and distance towards him. But she makes some foolish decisions to prove that she is strong enough after an car accident ends her career. I don’t think she worried as she should have about the stalker and her dead beat father. With her money she could have hired someone to stay with her to help her out with her recovery and protect her from threats. I loved that she wanted to open a camp to help kids like her find their own outlets in tennis.
