Once again I have mixed feeling on this one. I like most of the characters. And the Kincaid pack set-up but...

It was just too similar to the previous book. Maybe if I hadn’t read them back to back it might not have been as bad. Kieran has suffered like Kai. Although he’s more prickly.

I wasn’t happy that Kieran was just left to wallow in his room for so long. It was apparent that no one had learnt anything from the before.

Despite all this I’m looking forward to the next book. Which should hopefu
**4.5 Stars**

This is the second book in the Kincaid series by the new author Kiki Clark. It was right up my alley. Hurt-comfort, alpha, sweet but with enough plot to keep it moving and interesting.

Bennett was a little clueless at times in regards to mating (he believed what he had been told, that tigers don't have mates) but he felt the pull towards Kieran nonetheless and couldn't stay away or stop trying to take care of matter how much Kieran blustered and puffed up that he could take

3 I'm-starting-to-see-a-pattern stars story.

I hope the next story is about Drake and Jamie and that the author switches things up and does their story true justice. I love love love stories that involve sexy big scarred heroes.

I enjoyed Kieran and Bennett's story.
They're both incredibly sweet.

I liked that they're evenly matched in strength and in bed
I liked seeing Kieran fill back into who he's meant to be rather than the wolf that's been beaten down by his father.
I liked Bennett's sunroom where he let his tiger sun bathe.
I liked Bennett's pursuit of Kieran even when he was consistently turned away.
It's all very sweet.

The pack dynamic and conflict with the McAllister pack played out well. Not too p

Never EVER thought I’d see the day that I enjoyed reading a shifter series. But here I am enjoying it. I really love the diversity incorporated into the story. There are a good amount of women and people of color and we even have a Black man as the main character. Secondly, there are so many characters in here that you just wanna follow their journey and see win. So props to the author for creating lovely characters to follow

I will say though one thing I didn’t enjoy is that all of the problems

I liked the first book in this series quite a bit, and the same proficient writing technique and excellent proofreading are present in this one. Some, but not all, of the questions left over from the first book are answered in this one, but at the end of this one there is still a mystery afoot. If you haven't read the first, go back and do so now since these books don't stand alone and can't be read out of order. The rest of this review may also give away small plot points from the first book, s ...more

Series: Kincaid Pack #2
Rating: 4 stars - really enjoyable

One Sentence Summary: As the son of an enemy alpha, Kieran McAllister is grateful to find sanctuary with the Kincaid pack but his growing feelings for Enforcer Bennett Young make things more complicated.

THE SECOND AND HIS BONDED continues where the previous book left off, this time focusing on Rick’s second-in-command, tiger shifter Bennett. I really enjoyed this one and it’s focus on two lonely people finding someone to care for and lov

I quite like this series. It's definitely entertaining and has a bunch of good characters (even though I did get all of the names mixed up for about half of the book.) I appreciate that it's an ongoing series that's still got the MCs stories along with the "main" theme of what's going with the pack, the counsel, the outside world, etc.

It's still pretty standard shifter stuff even though there's different species, but I like how it tries to deal with the differences of not only the species but a

This second book in the Kincaid pack series kicks off with a prologue that starts almost exactly where the first book finished. However, this time the romance is focused on Bennett and Kieran. Bennett Young – the alpha’s second in the Kincaid Pack, and tiger shifter amongst mostly wolves. Bennett is everything thing I love about a second-in-command shifter. He’s an absolute badass when it comes to the bad guys, but a protective softie when dealing with the pack that he considers his fam

This is a truly fascinating MM shifter romance with a “slow-burn/enemies to lovers” undertone & I really enjoyed reading it. There are some character crossovers from the first book “The Alpha & His King #1” but this book can be read as a standalone although I would suggest reading the series in sequence to fully understand the underlying story-line. The plot is well-paced with interesting situations & events. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are well-developed in ...more

Another liked it but didn't love it read. I don't know if I am getting more picky about my books lately or what is going on. The cover and romance in this story were meh but the plot line and pack relationships were delightful and had me turning the page.

The romance just has no buildup, it's like Bennett and Kieran go from strangers to bonded in a few pages and I really needed either clarification from the author or something more. If this is how fated, true mates work in the world, then explain
I liked this one too. I'm really liking this author... It was good to see Kieran come into his own and it was nice to watch Bennett find his mate.

Sometimes I get irritated when authors blend their books so much that we keep seeing other characters, and sometimes it takes away from the main 2 in the book. For this one, I didn't feel like it took away from Bennett and Kieran, I think because the series feels more like it's about the Kinkaid Pack and the challenges they face, the mystery surroundin

You guys, I love shifter novels. I devour at least three a week. There’s something about them that reaches inside and grabs my heart and my brain, and The Second and His Bonded did not disappoint! This book is the second installment of the Kincaid Pack series, and it is the perfect follow up to the incredible first book, The Alpha and His King. It begins as the first story left off in a seamless transition. I won’t necessarily say you must read the first to be able

I am really enjoying this series. I really liked Kieran and felt really bad for him throughout the first half of the book. It was good to see him reach his HEA. I thought Bennett made a good mate for him, but I did find him pretty clueless throughout quite a bit of the book. All in all, I found this book highly enjoyable and a good sequel to the first book in the series.

4.5 stars ❤ A great book that picks up after the first book of Rick and Kai's story. Bennent and his alpha is putting all the protections in place after Agnes' s last attack on them.
I absoulety loved the first book and couldnt wait to read this.. This can be read standalone but I'd recommend in order to understand fully the mcs fitting in. A great paranormal book including all beings and dangers for the Kincaid Pack. Bennent aka B was concerned for Kieran with setling into the pack after his fa

i loved book 1.. and had no clue where book 2 was going to go.. and i fell head over heels.. i love that it wasnt easy.. it wasnt simple.. they had to fight and learn and love.. they had to figure it out and enjoy it and fight to keep it.. it was amazing and wonderful and i cannot wait to see who is next in this series.

I enjoyed this novel from Kiki Clark so much! It's got a lot of elements of the first novel: pack dynamics, friendship, an overarching mystery, a cinnamon roll MC, and hurt/comfort themes, all of which I love.

I liked getting to see more of Kai and Rick from the first book in this series, but ultimately it was Kieran and Bennett who stole the show here, as they should. They were just lovely together, from the push/pull between them at the beginning to their acceptance of the other. Lots of great

One of the best!

I think this series is a top of the line mm mate series. You won’t be upset by indulging in their world!
Kieran and Bennett had a bit of a spark in The Alpha and His King that I was absolutely looking forward to reading all about in this story, but while there was a lot of devotion and a bit of a spark in the book none of that came until well over halfway through it. What carried me through the story was the yearning I had to see Bennett finally get his HEA. He definitely got it, but it was absolutely hard-won and not without a considerable amount of angst and peril along the way.

I fell in love wit

I was rooting for Kieran and Bennett since I read the first book and couldn't wait anymore to read their story.

Even though I liked the first book, I loved this one. I think it's probably easier to get into the story because, mainly, we already know the characters and how this world works. It's the pain first-books must bear. While in The Alpha and His King we have to discover every character, not only the MCs of that book but also the supporting characters an

Quick note: I just learned there’s a prequel book, A New Pack for New Year. It’s only available as a freebie through Clark’s website, so it isn’t listed on Goodreads. I’m hoping to sit down in the next few days to read it.

The Second and His Bonded is the 2nd book in Kiki Clark’s Kincaid Pack series. While each book features a different couple and it’s own storyline – there are several story arcs running through the series as a whole, so you’ll want to start with The Alpha and His King and listen

A little long winded

I mean, there was actually a part where one of the (not main characters) basically summarized the whole book during a monologue. That was several unnecessarily pages, basically just word count. It's definitely slow moving, slow burn, easy on the actual.relationship building aspect. I do think that is just this author's writing style.

I found Kieran a little.too.neurotic, not exactly endearing. I found Bennett to be just fine,.just there, just.another character. The stor

I really enjoyed the characters, not only the MC's but the supporting characters and members of this incredible pack.  I loved how all the characters grow and evolve during the course of the complex story.  There is great world-building that pulls me into the atmosphere, dynamics and politics of this plot.  Finding acceptance in this large pack is a challenge for Kieran, espe ...more

This is definitely not a stand-alone book as the story continues on from the first, just with the focus on a different couple. That being said, I really enjoyed this 2nd book in The Kincaid Pack series. The story focuses on Bennett, 2nd in command and an Enforcer to the Kincaid pack, and Kieran, a refugee of sorts from another pack who stepped up to spill the truth even at great possible cost to himself. Kieran gained the trust of the Alpha, but he did not let himself feel too comfortable in his ...more

This is book 2 in the Kincaid Pack series and I think I may have liked it even better than the first. There was a dash of enemies to lovers here going on as Kieran at first tended to push Bennett away with his smart mouth. It was great watching Kieran start to come out of his shell and for him to finally see that the reason Bennett was paying him attention was not because he thought he was weak, but because he wanted him for his own. Slowly, but surely Kieran begins to integrate himself into the ...more

This is an excellent addition to the Kincaid Pack series and I loved it. The Second and His Bonded is well written, exciting, emotional, full of suspense and danger, has a few surprising twists, the characters are amazing and the world building is very well done. Kieran has so many issues from his past that he is dealing with as well as trying to figure out if his new pack even wants him there. Hiding in his room and trying to be as unobtrusive as possible is causing him harm, mentally and physi ...more

This the second book in the : Kincaid Pack book series

This was another great entry into a pretty good M.M shifter romance series like the previous book this one too deal with our new couple . Kieran the sorely abused son of the enemy Alpha who ask for sanctuary in the last book and Bennett the Alpha's second . Although these two get off on a rocky start they come to understand each other as the fall hard and deep because Kieran is Bennett's rated mate and B will do whatever it takes to make sur

Warning ⚠️ : shifters wolfs, m/m love story, history of abuse, mates.

Narrator score🎧 ; Kirt is an amazing narrator, one of the best narrators out there, his preference is always brilliant, especially in the sad parts.

Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: you had some sad moments in the book, but not really drastic. It was more of a silent anxiety, and some time it's even more painful than a real bad situation.

The book itself📖: this book continues the story of alpha Kancade's pack
