This is my first book by T.C. Matson and I have no intention of stopping here! Bring on all the words!!
This story stole my heart and honestly never gave it back and I’m okay with that. I was sucked into the story from the beginning and stayed there till the end. There was never a moment I wanted to pause. It’s overwhelmingly emotional but never angst driven. The story had a huge heartbeat you can feel at every turn. That might not make too much sense until you actually read the book but there it is LOL It’s the only way, I can describe the totality of greatness with these pages.
The author made it easy for me to connect with the characters and believe in their story. It was realistic and relatable and I felt the chemistry. She painted a picture with her prose that had me right there in the story living it side by side with Kenlyn and Asher! These two haven’t had an easy go of it in life, but together they are unstoppable. It was a glorious read I recommend to everyone!

Reckless Rebel by T.C. Matson a five-star read that will have your heart Rebelling. This is a stand-alone in the Cocky Hero Club, and well it gave me just what I needed. Kenlyn was someone who won me round so hard, I adored how she starts as a closed person and end the story like the most beautifully tattooed Rose, all open and flourishing. Ash was the one who weirdly took me the most by surprised, at first, he was closed off and seems way too arrogant, but there was something about him smacking that window. Mmm that whole scene was just amazing, without revealing any details, it set up for the rest of the story and showed us that deeper more elusive caring side. This is such a well written story and has characters that you will adore hearing from. I can’t wait for hear more from T.C. Matson as she just writes the most delicious men, and a story that will suck you in and keep you on tenterhooks all the way through.

I really enjoyed reading Reckless Rebel, my heart broke for both Ash and Kenlyn because they both have major trust issues. Kenlyn doesn't believe she's good enough to be loved, and Ash has so many deep seeded issues from his past that he allows to dictate his future. Meeting Kenlyn, he's immediately attracted to her and once he actually finds out her name and starts spending time with her, what he feels brings him to his knees...Kenlyn is pretty much feeling the same, but is trying to tell herself Ash isn't her type, and he'd never want her, and he'll end up leaving....Ash and Kenlyn are so afraid because of the demons they carry, they won't even talk to each other about what they are feeling, and Ash is keeping Kenlyn at arms length thinking he's doing the right thing. Things happen and Ash decides he needs to end whatever this thing is with Kenlyn because he's "feeling", only he can't bring himself to let her go. Kenlyn sees some things that Ash does and finds out there are people that know things about him that he's not willing to share with her, at least not yet, and that just makes her issues about herself come out full force...Will Ash finally be able to let go of his fear and talk to Kenlyn, will Kenlyn trust that she is good enough? You'll just have to read this awesome book to find out!!

Two damaged souls find each other just at a time when one really needs it, even though both fight the feelings for fear of more pain. Gripping and emotional story that really pulls the reader in. It's different and interesting, you feel the pain these characters feel, you also applaud that despite all they have been through they still do what they can to make life easier for others, especially kids going through a really bad time. I loved the boys and the relationship Asher built with them, it shone through from early in the book. The trust and camaraderie they had with him during therapy and the way they reached out to him. There was another larger than life character I loved as well, you will know who that is when you start reading. Well written and a wonderful steady flow.

Kenlyn's damaged. Asher's damaged. Funny how that very thing draws them to each other. But will Asher ever learn to get past his demons enough to let Kenlyn in? He just may lose her if he can't open up and bare his heart to her.
Dang but this one was a bit heartbreaking. These two characters had it rough, especially Asher. But I love how Kenlyn was there for him. She was his rock even when he pushed her away. I think of all the Cocky Hero Club releases this round, this one is my favorite, and the most emotional too. I loved these two together even as I felt so badly for them. 5 beautiful stars!

This book is part of the cocky hero collection and I always enjoy reading these books. This book is a real second chance love and I was hooked for the get go.
Kenlyn 'Lyn' is having a real tough time of it at moment and after finding her boyfriend cheating on her she feels like everything has just fallen apart. She decides that the only way to deal with him is to go to him right now and confront him and she doesn't care who sees her. However the way of the world and fate has other ideas for her and on her way to see her ex, she bumps into the cheekiest jerk ever. He is the most flirtatious, sexiest stranger that actually shows her ex a taste of his own medicine, but then they go there separate ways.
Asher is a real rebel that now he's met her cant get her out of his head and doesn't think that they will see each other again. He finds it hard to trust people and is really difficult to let anyone inside his heart. Kenlyn is a graphic designer and when Ash requests her to help him design his new place everything changes. These two are meant to be and the issues that they go through and the journey they go on they can help heal each other.
The way that that this author writes I really like and the characters are really relatable and very likable and the reader can really connect with them. They both had awesome chemistry and when they first met and what happened I found freaking awesome. I was really hoping that Ash could eventually open up and really feel real love and I really felt for them in this story, and this book really did have my emotions all up and down. I enjoyed reading this book, the story flows great and and it really pulls you in while reading it. This book is a stand alone in the cocky hero world and is a great addition to the series and I cant wait to read more book from this world and this author.

I’ve made the statement, more than once, that TC Matson is the queen of first chapters...she always sucks you in from the very first page...After reading this book, I’m happy to report...Long Live The Queen!!!♥️🌼
Reckless Rebel is a good book....Ms. Matson has given us a good story and multi-layered characters in Ash and Kenlyn....They have a lot in common, actually....Kenlyn, a graphic designer, is a sweet “good girl” with a big heart, a crappy mother and a cheating boyfriend....Not a shock that she has big trust issues...Kenlyn isn’t really broken, but life has pretty much spit on her....She has a strong support system of good friends....and she has Dotty....Dotty‘s age and life experience have made her the voice of reason in this story..which, if I’m being honest, is a little scary, in itself....Dottie is a great character..♥️🌼
Ash, Kenlyn’s hot “kidnapper hero, is an alpha, tatted-up, bad boy tattoo artist, but his heart makes him so much more...Ash teaches art and plays a sort of big brother to underprivileged kids.....When Ash saves Kenlyn from walking into traffic and follows her to confront her cheating bf.....he becomes a little smitten....but Ash, too, has trust issues, also with good reasons, and this is really a new experience for him.....Kenlyn is making him work for her.....I love Ash and Kenlyn....And their chemistry explodes from their first meeting..♥️🌼
If you are already familiar with TC Matson’s books, you won’t be surprised that this is another good one...If you’re not familiar with this author, RECKLESS REBEL is a good place to start....It’s a really good book..♥️🌼

Asher and Kenlyn's story is beautiful yet heartbreaking. Both having pasts that constantly shape not only their present but also their future. Together they find a way to live in spite of that heartbreak. Their path to a HEA isn't easy but beautiful all the same. Sharing and discovering a lot about themselves and each other. What they may see as broken in themselves, the other sees as an intricate puzzle piece that aligns quite nicely into an amazing life!

I’ve not read anything by this author before and this was a great surprise for me. The blurb sucked me in completely. Wouldn’t you want to be kissed by a sexy guy in front of your cheating boyfriend. This is a beautiful well written story. It pulled on so many of my emotions.
Kenlyn and Asher are two likeable characters, although broken. Even though they are attracted to each other they are wary about being truthful to themselves in case they get hurt.
I absolutely loved this story. Definitely one of my favourite from the Cocky Hero Club.

Wow….. not sure I have words right now. What a heavy, emotional read this was. Like two lost souls that needed eachother but didn't know it or trust it. I fell in love with Ash in the first chapter, there was a few times i wanted to smack him on the head, but he is definitely book bf material. Kenlyn is so opposite from Ash, she lives life way off the edge, where he is always half way over. But I guess it's true opposites attract. Absolutely loved this read, one of my favs this year.

The road to Asher and Kenlyn's HEA was a rough one. They both have pasts that have not only shaped who they are but their hard fought future. Their story is heartbreaking but also heart healing. I hope you enjoy their story as much as I did.

This was another great reading experience in the Cocky Hero Club. Kenlyn and Ash both have had struggles and hardship in their pasts that makes them have trust issues. These two put me through an emotional wringer of angst as they tried to strive towards greatness. Their insatiable heat for each other sizzled the pages and I wished so hard for them to be able to make things work.

Passionflix r u listening?? check these 2 out!! holy hotness ...what a read ... love the pictures you will create by this book inside your mind ... totally could be a movie or something else. Passionflix ... hello?? i read two books in this series recently and i could totally see them that way!! "Cocky Jerk" by Janine Infante Bosco & "Reckless Rebel" by: TC Matson. all the feels ...in both books i just felt so drawn into the characters lives and you will feel so many emotions.

She likes to follow the rules and he pushes her boundaries. He is used to woman chasing him she has to be chased. They both have commitment issues and insecurities. This story is full is fun banter and sexy times. It will make you smile and tug at your heart. Great storyline and wonderful characters.,

As always, Matson has proven herself to be the queen of Chapter Ones, and I double dog dare you to read the first few pages and not be desperate for more. Go ahead. I'll wait.

Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down-- Matson had me hooked from the very first page (duh) and I stayed glued to the book (well, the Kindle) like my life depended on it.
Kenlyn and Asher are un-freakin-believable together, and there's absolutely nothing I love more than damaged people finding their HEAs-- especially when they find it with all the witty banter/amazing character development/laugh out loud scenarios/true depth of emotion that Matson is all about.
There was the perfect blend of drama, humor, heat, and "AWWWW" moments to keep every chapter exciting and to keep the characters worming their way into my heart. The only disappointing part was the fact that the story eventually had to end, because I could happily keep reading about these two until I died (chapter 3765525: Kenlyn Tries a New Brand of Laundry Detergent 😂)

Another wonderful Cocky Hero Club book by a new-to-me author that I was bowled over by! I will be looking up Ms Matson's books now that I have found this wonderful writer!
Asher, a gorgeous tattoo artist, kisses Kenlyn when she catches her boyfriend cheating. He just happens to be in the right place at the right time. He feels something he has never felt before but he doesn't do serious relationships. He has a lot of deep rooted issues that have caused him permanent insecurities. Kenlyn is tired of liers and cheaters. She has walls from her childhood that are protecting her heart. But Ash pursues Kenlyn in a manner that won me right over to his side! He was perfect in his courtship and I could feel their chemistry through my kindle. Until he made me so angry that I wanted to fling it across the room!
This book was everything, it made me feel all the emotions like I was right in the book! Ash and Kenlyn were both such giving and caring people but were just to hard on themselves and felt like they were undeserving of love. There were also some hard to deal with issues that were addressed. I loved the Epilogue, which is always a winner in my book! Another great book in the CHC!

TC Matson hit this one right on the head!! This book was filled with so much emotion from both Kenlyn, who at some points I wanted to jump in the book and punch in the face, okay not really, but maybe shake her really hard, for all her doubts in herself and believing she isn't good enough or that people will always leave her!! Then you have Ash, omg, the hot tattooed baddie who set his sights on Kenlyn all by accident, but then starts practically stalking her, to then almost dropping her like a hot potato, because he doesn't do feelings and can't get attached. He pushes her to get over her fears and she pushes him to let her in. If two people weren't more meant for each other, if only they wouldn't let their insecurities get in the way. They are both such kind giving people to their friends and community. This is a definite read and you need to read it to see what happens between Kenlyn and Ash and find out what their back stories are and if they do end up together!!

Whilst this book wasn’t what I thought it was going to be, it was something it I could not put down. This is a story of two broken people finding their way in this world one step at a time, and then when they finally find the one their emotions and heartbreak come fourth and threaten to ruin it all. Asher and Kenlyn May meet under some very strange circumstance but their chemistry starts from the very beginning. Whilst beginning broken and lost Asher still managers to find time for his boys and will just about anything to protect them. The brotherly/fatherly bond is amazing and something that really touched my heart. This book is amazing, it’s full of emotions, but still has the love story that I’m after.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Reckless Rebel and for that I’m very grateful.

The brotherly/fatherly bond is amazing and something that really touched my heart. This book is amazing, it’s full of emotions, but still has the love story that I’m after.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Reckless Rebel and for that I’m very grateful.

Asher on the outside is cocky, he knows he is hot. He has had a lot of heartache in his life so he is fine with one night stands. That is until he meets Kenlyn who has trust issues and definitely is not into one night stands. I love how they meet for the first time and then the second time. There are so many funny scenes in book along with all the Swoony moments along with the ‘oh crap’ situations. There were so many emotional moments in the book that made tears come to your eyes.

Another amazingly written addition to the cocky hero world. Why? Why did you have to make me cry? I don't like crying. Ahhh.... This story was everything a must read that is for sure.

Kenlyn has serious trust issues, so when she receives a text saying that her boyfriend is cheating on her she's bound to catch him. Kenlyn has always been the reserved girl that lives by the book and doesn't do anything that will get her in trouble. But that changes when she meets Asher, the sexy stranger who kissed her. Asher is everything she shouldn't be attracted to, he's got tattoos, he's reckless and he's just everything her mother left her dad for.. which means he's a no-go! Asher has a complicated past, but the minute he meets Kenlyn he knows he needs her in his life, but given his past and the fact that everyone he loves leaves, he's afraid to let her get too close... Can these two opposites really make it work?
Okay... I knew I was going to love this book before I even started reading it, but I just didn't know how much I was going to love it! Asher is seriously everything you need in a book boyfriend... he's got a huge heart, he's passionate, and he puts everyone's needs before his. I mean what's not to love. Kenlyn is completely relatable too, because I used to be the reserved girl, who didn't want to do anything to get into trouble... so I get it. And while she could be frustrating you really do fall in love with her too. Their stories and backgrounds are realistic and it's hard to not have your heartbreak along with them! Seriously great job TC... I'm in love!

Sweet, sexy and intense, this story will tug at your heartstrings and take you through all the emotions! Ash and Kenlyn have so much hurt and heartache in their pasts that the likelihood of a happily ever after between them seems impossible at times. The thing is, as we travel the road with them, through so many painful moments, as well moments of pure joy, it is obvious no two people could ever be more meant for each other. TC Matson does a fantastic job creating two characters with so many facets to their personalities that you can do nothing but fall in love with each of them as well as their life together!

Kenlyn and Ash meet in the most unconventional of ways, but I absolutely loved it. These two characters couldn’t have been anymore opposite if they tried, but their love proves opposites really do attract.
Matson brings on so many emotions throughout this entire story, you can’t help but feel like you’re right there in the middle of it with them. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I loved every single page of Reckless Rebel. It is a great addition to the Cocky Hero Club from Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward and is based off Stuck Up Suit.

Holy hotness!
I lucked out! I saved the best for last. In the most recent release of Cocky Hero Club books, I decided to splurge on new to me authors. I was apprehensive and truthfully, a bit wary.
I am absolutely tickled that Reckless Rebel was the final one I picked up for this release week. I saved the best for last.
Can I just swoon a bit here? Too much, you say?!? Clearly you haven't fallen victim to those silver blue orbs taunting you to live a little. Ash is without a doubt a keeper. It just took him awhile to realize it himself. Kenlyn is her own worst enemy too. However, these two big hearted heroes are the kind of love any romance reader can fall hard for.
With the edgy tattoo-covered hottie on the cover, I have zero shame in admitting I was all for team Ash. And I would offer up my virgin skin for what Kenlyn gets, but I know better than all the clingy skanks that line up for a taste that Ash is already taken even before he does.
TC Matson is new to me but I am now going to TBR everything I can get my greedy hands on. Reckless Rebel is the perfect amount of sexy, sweet, and the feels....my Lord, I couldn't stop the tears. My idea of perfect is feeling everything the characters do and let me tell you- I swooned harder. I ached just as much. I fell hard and fast.

OMG i couldn't get enough of this book it was soo full of emotion! I couldn't put it down it only took me two days to read it , I really liked how Kenlyn is a sweet and a good girl and she doesn't think bad about anyone unless you backstab her lol . The actual meeting between her & Asher is really what sucked me in !! I wasn't expecting it to go that way at all ..but a little bit later in the book they re-meet at the tattoo shop where he works and her roommate had already an appointment to get a tattoo and he was the Artist giving her friend the tattoo .. omg I enjoyed the back and forth between these two was really entertaining, but I can really understand them both not wanting to hurt each other with their trust issues on each other's sides . They both have been hurt & felt loss, but they didn't get to handle it like they probably should have. But I'm think it made there bond stronger in the end In this book Kenlyn & Asher are opposites, but you know what they always say opposite attract !! but i also think their personalities work together. This book really flowed well and there wasn't a lot of jumping around it really flowed and the story line was fantastic !! I couldn't get enough of Asher! Omg sexy tattoos and an artist come on who wouldn't fall for someone like that!! I loved this book and will be recommending it to all my friends!!

If everyone you have ever loved left you, could you ever feel safe enough to open your heart to love?
This the ultimate question in the book Reckless Rebel. It is a heavy question. I wasn’t sure where this story was going to go but for a book that is about 300 pages it went deep and cut to so super intense emotions.
Asher and Kenlyn’s first meet is one for the books. Kenlyn is on her way to see with her own eyes her boyfriend in the act of cheating on her. He is currently at a restaurant across town being cozy with another woman. In her haste to catch him she takes a step off the curb in the middle of the street. Strong solid hands catch her and pull her back before she walks out into traffic. She thanks the stranger as she keeps walking towards the restaurant. As she comes to the window of the restaurant she see the boyfriend in an embrace with the other woman. Ash saves the moment by hitting his hands on the window of the restaurant drawing everyone’s attention and proceeds to plant a very nice, toe curling kiss on Kenlyn. Kenlyn so stunned by the action she walks away…
Kenlyn comes face to face with her rescuer when she accompanies her best friend to a tattoo shop. From this moment forward the sparks fly.
Kenlyn is resistant to allow Asher in. She puts walls up and says no to any offer of Ash getting to know her better. Ash himself holds Kenlyn at a distance also. His past with her past leads to so many big moments for them. For two people who have the capability to love big they are so afraid of not being loved in return that they push away and run from every chance they are given.
This is story with big love, even big heartache and you rooting from the sidelines for the HEA. If every there were two characters who deserved a HEA it is Kenlyn and Ash. Both deserved to be loved. Both deserve to know that love can heal and that the risk is always worth it. T.C. Mateson is a new to me author, but if she writes other characters with this much real emotion, I am all in!
This was a 5/5 read for me. I love the quick reads of the Cocky Hero Club. This one packs a large punch and is one of the best I have read. There is a realness about the characters. Their doubts and fears bring so much awareness to the story. This was an incredible read! Highly Recommend!

Omg I love Asher! Kenlyn did not see him coming. He crashed into her life and never left. Finding her boyfriend cheating right out in the open Kenlyn is devastated but Asher steps in to give her ex a rude awakening. They are both shocked by the instant electricity between them but Kenlyn is not opening up her heart so easy. That's when this book becomes a slow burn that will drive you insane. Asher has his own demons to deal with but deep down he is the most caring person helping out kids in need. And let's talk Dottie for a moment. Her character has absolutely no filter and her antics made me laugh hysterically. She is my favorite character in this book.
This book will grip you right from the beginning and Asher will knock you off your feet. TC Matson is a phenomenal author that will keep you engaged from the first to the last page. Her characters and plots are always very well developed and her books are truly addicting. She is one of the must read authors in today's romance community.

T.C. Matson certainly knows how to write an unexpected, mind-blowing opening. The book starts with a bang that will set the mood for the book while introducing the main characters: Kenlyn and Asher. They are broken and scarred by their pasts, and believed they are too damaged to deserve love and a happy ever after.
Ash, a talented tattooed artist, gives the impression of being an arrogant, cocky, I-take-what-I-want guy. He is dreamy, with a bad boy look that has heads turning everywhere he goes. Kenlyn is reserved and wears her heart on her sleeve. She is the nicest person and doesn't have a single mean bone in her. Ash will knock on a restaurant window and kiss her just to rile Kenlyn's cheating boyfriend. But the kiss, done simply to help her, will be the beginning of so much more.
In order to be together, they will have to face fears, show their wounds, and expose their vulnerabilities. And the emotional journey they will take is simply beautiful and heartfelt. The impact Ash and Kenlyn have stayed long after the last page was read. This is, by far, the most emotional yet positive book I've read in the Cocky Hero Club. Reckless Rebel is an emotionally fantastic story that sucked me in from the jump. Kenlyn has some demons which won't leave her alone, so when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her, she decides that her walls are too thin, and then a sexy man kisses the hell out of her in front of that cheater. She stomps off without getting or giving a name so you will see fate take over. Now, that hot guy was Ash, who has his own demons to battle, and as these two get to know each other, things start to slowly change yet, they won't admit to the most important things to each other, so he holds her at arm's length. There comes a time when things hit the fan, leading to both of their demons out to play big time which has Ash making a questionable decision. Will they be able to finally confess to each other those demons & put them in the past where they belong?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
