Huntress's Pack #1

Huntress Rescued

Rate this book
An anchorless woman left without her family and humanity. Three werewolves fighting a seemingly endless war. An unlikely mate bond that could shatter them all.

I was born and raised to hunt and kill rogue paranormals, to protect the human world from supernatural threats. But my life is torn asunder when a botched mission destroys what hunters most value--my humanity. And there’s no room in the Julii clan for a huntress with demon blood.

Rejected by my family for a twisted nature that I can no longer change, I have nothing and no one to turn to.

No one but them, the werewolves who came for me, who risked their lives to save my own.

Xander - the only Alpha to care about a human’s fate almost as much as he does about his pack.

Byron - the infamous ‘White Wolf’ of Xander’s pack, who stains his white fur with demon blood as easily as I once stained my hands.

Ulysses - the heart of their pack, who hides a secret pain and a terrible burden behind his warm smiles.

It would be so easy to let myself fall for them. But the love of a huntress can be as dangerous as the blades we use in battle. Can they protect me from the demon who is still after my body and my soul?

Huntress Rescued is the first book in the Huntress’s Pack why choose series and includes steamy scenes between the heroine and her overprotective, lupine boyfriends. But beware! This is not a gentle love story and there will be a lot of dark content ahead. Remember, a demon is just waiting around the corner to steal our huntress away.

W T F?

This story makes very little sense. The MC starts out the story being some kind of bad ass huntress. Give it a chapter and she's pathetic.
Spoilers below

How do you go from being a virgin to having a 3 way with basically strangers. I mean I'm all for experimentation but getting it in every opening in your body on the first go is a little drastic. And dont forget the demon she's screwing in her dreams. Virgin to slutty from 0 to 3 pages....
The plot line just pissed me off. She was a bad ass and is now a sniveling woman in 1 chapter. It disappoints me. This could be a good plot but it didn't deliver. Will not be continuing the series.

This was an average read. Very fast paced plot which made it seem more out of control than exciting. Character had potential but we’re underdeveloped. World building was done through strange “information inserts” supposedly from the alternate history the book is based on but I found it contrived and ingenuous. Sorry no second book for me on this one.

ONE EPIC AVALANCHE OF THRILLS!!!
Dastardly demons! Eva came out swinging with her unique style and insight, laying out this dark, delectable treat, mixing it up and letting loose, wrapping this baby up sleek shiny and tight. Cognizant of the instant realization and charged atmosphere, showcasing the horrendous trials and intense tribulations, along with a bevy of startling twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces, drawing them closer than they could have ever envisioned. Lines blur and boundaries crossed, limitations are stretched and bent, booting this baby full throttle, kicking it into overdrive, slamming it into a tailspin with astonishing impacts. Bearing the burdens and towing the line, imparting this thrilling, pulse racing, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, page flipping, block busting bombshell, blasting this baby to a whole new realm. Anarchy runs rampant and betrayal is rife, rousting the drama, intrigue, danger, spiraling suspense and unnerving situations along with a boatload of confusion, you have one jaw dropping masterpiece. The raw magnetism, undeniable attraction and sizzling chemistry collides with such intensity, drawing you deeper until you feel the electrifying hum running rampant through your veins. The characters are complex and genuine with traits and qualities that add depth and realism, blend and flow transforming into relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Eva, thanks for sharing this lil' fella with us.

Huntress Rescued is about a hunter Imogen, whose family has been famed hunters for generations. One night while on a mission to take out a well known vamp, things go wrong. Taken prisoner, her life changes in one blink of an eye when another stronger vampire tries to bond with her. But before the bond could be completed she is saved by her team and a pack of werewolves. However her family rejects her for her half turned state, but three wolves in particular scent her as theirs. What is a hunter to do? Turn herself in to die for the monster she has become or become something more with her mates?

Huntress Rescued was a very fast paced read. A lot happens in a short amount of time. I would have liked some more description but this is the pace of the plot and was easy to follow. So be prepared for a fast pace. The characters, are interesting and I look forward to learning more about them. We get more from Imogen, but we also get the guys POV as well. I must say though that the hook at the beginning had me. It starts off with action and we have action through the book.

The plot is good, the characters are interesting and the pace fast. If you do not mind things happening fast, which really does not bother me if the story is good, I think that this is going to be a very good series. I know I enjoyed it very much.

*Spoiler Alert*
Huntress Imogen (FMC) aka Genny is part of a Supernatural Human task force that are on the hunt of a rogue Vampire - Vladimir Popovic. Except things dont go to plan. She ends up right in the middle of werewolves, Vampires and Demons all wanting her dead thats for sure. Lots of Steamy between Alpha-Xander, Beta-Byron and Omega-Ulysses. As well as with the Demon-Daimon who doesnt play well with others and wants Genny all to himself. I was disappointed with Genny's brother and his attitude. Hoping that will change in any future books? Maybe Genny might remember her Huntress nature and gets more kick*** soon?? Im dying for that to happen. Other than that i really enjoyed reading this book. It was so flaming good. Cant wait for book 2

We have a story that is interesting. Each chapter starts with a written quote. We have action, and a little suspense. Imogen was born a huntress, but when things go wrong, who will stand by her? Her Family? The werewolves? The Demon? The Vampire? Will she ever be the same?

DNF/ The idea behind this book sounded promising then I got into the book. our m/c is a sniveling child who goes from virgin to slut in 1 scene. add to that the langue used in said sex scene and I felt like a 12 yr old had written it. the entire thing was cringe-worthy. I couldn't even finish. the moment the words spunk and jizz came into play I was done. she just met these 3 and supposedly hates werewolves and is a virgin and is just like yeah double penetration and a d**k in my mouth sounds great. just NO. I will not be reading this series.

Imogen is huntress that works for her family, she knows nothing else. She is raised to not really like the supernaturals. She is on a mission to take out a vampire with team, that includes her brother. One of the members of the team is captured, Imogen goes to help him. The vampire is taunting her to come. She gets there and realizes that she is in major trouble. The vampire takes her for precise reason, she is a gift to a demon.Imogen tries very hard to fight what the demon does to her, he thinks she is his soul mate. She is under both of their control.
The wolves get the call the the huntress was taken, the brother is needs help getting her. They fight their way in. They separate to take care of the vampires and others that are in there way. The beta smells the blood of the huntress and there is a powerful demon there. He manages to reach her, he is for a battle. He with the aid of the others get to her. She doesn't know much of what happened. Before they can speak, she runs out to help and find her brother.
Imogen is no longer a huntress, the others will turn against her. The threes wolves know she is their soulmate. They take her to home to pack lands. Imogen is trying hard to forget everything but the three wolves. This will put her and the her mates in danger because of it.

This was an interesting read, you will enjoy reading. There is a lot that goes on in this book. The book seems a little rushed in certains spots but doesn't detract from story. There are some steamy scenes and other aspects of this book others might not like

Wow this book set really packs a punch. Read this set in order or you'll definitely be lost. All action, adventure and sprinkled with romance throughout the series. As the series progresses so does the storyline. The plot wasn't straightforward, but towards the end of the second book it was there. I thought it was about one thing, but it was completely another.

In the first book the huntress is fighting for those she loves and hates. She needs to finish what she started and end it all. But what really happened during that ritual. Can her newfound mates help her through it all.

In the second book, we find out that most of what we believed in the 1st book was a lie. And that the soul inside the huntress body is a demon summoned to be the bride of a demon. But we also find out she has a ton of mates from the one who summoned her, to a vampire who hates and loves her. Then her three werewolf mates, in which one has a very big secret to tell her. But with everything going and her magic is going crazy. Can she keep everyone she loves safe, including herself?

In the third book we find out that all is not as it seems and that where her magic is going crazy it is, because someone wants to come back very badly and destroy all those that hurt her body, mind and soul. But first she had to get through the soul that's called Ressa, and those that she calls mates. Will Imogen get what she wants and her revenge?

I really liked this book. The MFC Genny kicks some butt and is really strong, but she also has a softer side to her. We also get introduced to Daimon, a demon who wants Genny for his bride, however at the same time we get introduced to three shifter's who immediately recognise Genny as their soulmates. Of course this is when it gets complicated as the demon wont share and fights to get her back. To be honest i liked all of the characters, but probably liked Daimon the most, we don't know yet why he wants her but i'm guessing in the next book more secrets will be exposed. I liked the story and it was well written. My only criticism was that i didn't really like the Wikipedia start to each chapter, where the author had given us some history on shifter's, hunters and demons etc. I like to get engrossed in the story and felt this stopped the flow. This said it was very enjoyable and i cant wait to read the next installment.

Imogen was a huntress who tracked and killed rogue paranormals. On a mission with the team, she is captured as a gift to a demon. Although she is ultimately rescued, the demon corrupts her blood and she can no longer be a huntress, no longer be accepted by the others. But in addition to the demon who still wants her as his own, she has the attentions of Xander (Alpha), Byron (Beta) and Ulysses Barnett (Omega) who are drawn to her as their mate. The demon won’t share, so there will be conflict until one of them wins the prize! Who will it be? Can Imogen be kept safe?

This was a good story line and an exciting read. I enjoyed the characters and seeing their interactions with each other. What is the fate of Imogen who is caught in this tug of war? Be ready for Book 2 that will follow this one! You won’t want to be left behind!

One mission changes everything

This read was pretty interesting. I like how each chapter started with alittle bit of history from different sources.

Going from a huntress to being amoung those she hunted is leaving Imogen feeling our of her depth and lost. Especially with so many vying for her heart what is a former huntress to do.

This book was a quick read but alot happened. I'm not sure what will happen with Imogen and the Brooks pack but I like it. Since it was a quick read I didn't get to know the guys really well but I'm looking forward to seeing what all happens in book 2

Hmmmm sandwiches...

Well this is hot and steamy. Love this book, the story is great and the characters are awesome. If you don't like multiple partners then this book isn't for you, but I like sandwiches.

thought this book I just feel Genny has gone backwards in her character and state of thinking. She started out strong and from what was described as Hunter straining it was well deserved. I understand that certain events can lead to a person crumbling, but I don't think that was explored enough in the book. Which is the main reason why it got four stars not five. There is also an element of skipping but this doesn't really take away from the book itself.

Imogen's a huntress of paranormal creatures, whose life shatters when she's captured by vampires and turned into something no one knows what is. Rejected by her family and friends, she's accepted as a mate of three wolf shifters. In this installment we see Imogen trying to sort out what she is, where her relationship with her mates leads, while trying to avoid being claimed by a demon. The story is fast-paced, full of action and plenty of steamy scenes, but the character development is a bit slow. Still, this being the first book in the series I'm certain it will be resolved in the next book.

The Hunters’ job is to take out rogue paranormals - out of control werewolves, vampires, and demons. Now the vampires have gotten so strong and dangerous that the werewolves and Hunters are working together against them. Imogen is part of an old Hunter family who ends up abducted and and bitten by a vampire. When her brother tries to kill her, the local Alpha is her unlikely rescuer. Imogen goes to live with the werewolf pack and learns to live a new life with them, while avoiding the demon who believes she is his fated bride and the vampires. When Imogen is captured by Popovic, it is her worst nightmare - she is a member of one of the oldest lines of hunters, and he gives her to Daimon Rossi as a bride. Daimon turns her into part demon - and her family will disown her now that she is no longer pure.
Xander, Byron and Ulysses rescue her, and she becomes their mate. But Daimon still wants her, and will stop at nothing to get her back - will the wolves be able to keep their mate safe?

I like the story and the characters, definitely a bit dark. It's a story unlike any that I have read, you really feel for Imogen. The betrayal, the need to fulfill family duties only to have them kick you in the teeth. Then to be concerned about how to keep your only safe place, safe. And also the idea someone can mess with your mind and manipulate how you feel and respond. So much is going on but it all flows. This is a wonderful start to a new series, great cliff hanger, can't wait for the next book.

Imogen (Genny) is a a hunter, part of the Supernatural task force and on the hunt for a rogue vampire Vladimir Popovic. When a team member is captured Genny goes to help him. Except not everything goes as planned as she is taken by Popovic as a gift for a demon. The demon has her under his control. She is soon rescued by her team and a pack of werewolves. Imogen is a Huntress, raised in a family of Hunters that is all she really knows. One night a mission goes horribly wrong and her whole world is turned on its head. Xander, Byron and Ulysses are there for her when she is abandoned and rejected by her family. What do they want from her and is the past going to stay in the past?

This was an interesting read, and I would very much like to see where it goes in the future. I hope we get to know more about the hunters, as well as the demon with his sights set on her.

A great start to the series, well written, fantastically developed characters with strong chemistry and a good storyline with multiple POVs but watch out for the cliffhanger. Filled with action, adventure, betrayal, romance and hot steamy scenes with twists and dark turns. Cannot wait to find out what happens next in this series by Eva Brandt.

Huntress Rescued is a well written story with strong characters and it's a page turner. Imogen (Ginny) is a huntress who raised to hunt and kill paranormals until a failed assignment changes everything. Xander, Byron and Ulysses, are part of a wolf pack that comes to her rescue and I loved how protective they are over her. This is my first book by Eva Brandt and I look forward to reading the rest of the series to find out what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This story was very fast-paced with a lot happening in a short time, although the characters had potential and were somewhat interesting I felt they were under-developed which was disappointing. The story is told mainly by Imogen, but we do get the guys POV as well. I was hooked at the beginning by the action but I would have liked more detailed descriptions.

I think that this is going to be a good series but hope the author develops the characters a little more.

From the first page you are thrown straight into the action. We see imogen scouting out an elder vampire her group are their to kill. For everything from here to to crazy and filled with many twists. Once the Alpha, Beta and Omega of the Brooks pack who are their to help the hunters, finally find Imogen and rescue her. They find out they are all connected.
With hunters, demons and wolves all thrown in the mix we get a great story plot to cling to and totally leave you needing book 2.

This book was excellent. It was well written and the characters and story were both well developed. I loved the strong sassy female character and enjoyed watching the relationship dynamics change and evolve through the book. The story was action packed and full of twists and turns. It had suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next book in the series!!

This was a fast plot with Imogen going from a human huntress and not sure of her capabilities, being soulmates with three werewolves. Being a demons soulmate, she thinks its not natural but he took control of her thoughts and body. Now more than ever Xander, Bryon and Ulysses need to claim her before the demon Daimon comes back.

Good read

This is one of my favorite authors and this book was a good start to a new series. A great storyline and fantastic characters. The only thing that bothered me though is that the MC was all bad a** at first then she turned all helpless and whiny. I hope in the next book she finds her strength. This is the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars.

A different type of shifter book for me.
I do love wolf shifter books and could read them all the time.
I found the characters worked well in this book and I had a good
connection with them as well.
I didn`t find any spelling mistakes at all or any holes in the plot.

It was a okay read

The book started off promising, then it kind of took a left turn. I FMC started off as a bad ass but that quickly took a turn to irritating female bc she just gives in entirely to quickly. She has her moments where she stood up for her self but that ended quickly as well. This book was still a okay read but it could have been so much better.

Too quick

Fast paced and fast burn. This felt like it was over already just as it got going. It has its darker theme and it still “might” be triggering to some, but I feel like it want too fast to even really get that dark emotion to the reader. Regardless, it was a fun fast read until it ended.
