The Right Bank of France's Bordeaux region is lined with châteaux producing some of the world's best wines. From the stone-lined paths of Saint-Émilion to vineyards with as much lushness and divinity as a primeval forest, there's so much to capture Shizuku and his friends' imaginations. #200 St Emilion, the unchanging light of beauty
Soft aroma, expansive natural earth notes, the kind of softness only an old deep rooted vine can express (Vieilles Vignes). Like a windmill (moulin) slowly spinning as it leaves itself to nature's whims. Made by Jean-Noel Herve, ex-mayor of Fronsac. Great pairing w/ squab
Check out this Fronsac wine. I just scanned it with the Vivino app. https://www.vivino.com/wines/1358944?...

Petrus gets special mention even though it's fr Pomerol. Also tiny Château Le Pin, picky harvest of only the best grapes, good drainage despite clay soil & w/o use of pesticides. The 'Le Pin' way.

The Bordeaux section and wine competition was fun, but the rest of this volume felt really episodic and pointless.

Clearly not the best book in the series as it is a filler. Waiting for the main plot to come back with a revenge !
