Prince Nicolas is looking for a priceless royal heirloom. Trying to stay under the radar, he keeps that he’s a prince secret—especially from the cute antiques dealer he asks to help him. The longer it takes, the more time they get to spend together, though no matter how attracted he is to Lizzie, love is certainly not an option for the heir to the crown of Belfort.

|ARC kindly provided by Entangled Publishing, LLC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you a lot!|

This was an unexpected read. I read the blurb and it immediately got me curious.

This book has A LOT of potential but sadly it wasn’t well layered. The story needed more pages and a slower pace. There were a few situations that felt over produced just because we did not spend a lot of time with the characters.

I’m not bothered by insta-love if we have a proper development but we didn

Oh my Gosh this was such a cute and heartwarming story. It was a mix between the two fairytales Cinderella and The Nightingale.

Prince Nicolas of Belfort comes to Woods Creek in America to find a very important heirloom that his grandfather gave away to a woman he loved but wasn’t allowed to marry. Now that his grandfather turns eighty Nicolas wants to return The Bird of Paradise to make him happy.
In Woods Creek he meets Lizzie (Elizabeth) who owns the antique store on Hearts street and she agree

Unfortunately, we can't like everything and that's something I really can't get over. I so badly want to love everything I read and because I can't I feel so much guilt. My brain says I'm acting crazy, but my heart doesn't want to hurt anyone.

I really tried to like A Royal Second Chance Summer. I kept picking it up and reading a little bit only to put it down and walking away. My biggest problem was not being able to

4 star review of  A Royal Second Chance Summer (Little Shops on Heart Street #3) by
Viv Royce

Viv Royce is a relatively new author to me. As with the first book I found this to be sweet romance, with a Royal flair. Although it is book three in the series, I had no trouble following.

This was an entertaining read that grabbed my attention and didn’t let it go until the last page. I found Viv Royce’s writing style to be enjoyable and the story flowed quite well, even though it was a tad predictable

Swoooon! I loved this book! It is positively delicious and made me smile....so much so that when my adult daughter walked in while I was reading, she started laughing and asking what I was reading that made me smile so much.... That pretty much says it all - this is a sweet and non-traditional royal romance that I loved.

Put this one at the top of your TBR list - actually,, pre-order it so that you can read it as soon as it releases - it's that good. While this is part of a series, this is a sta

Sadly, I didn’t connect with this one. The writing style just was off, a lot of inner-thoughts and didn’t connect with the characters. A bit slow, just didn’t hold my attention. Just wasn’t a good fit. I liked the idea of the story, it sort of reminded me of the move The Prince and Me. Others seem to enjoy it, so it may just be a case of its-not-you-it’s-me.

This is a sweet contemporary romance with a royal twist and great addition to this delightful series!

Lizzie Cates runs an antique shop on Heart Street. She’s moved there to escape the spotlight her family’s recent fame had put her under and is loving life in the small town. She’s keen to be involved in local events and is helping organise the town’s fourth of July celebrations.

Prince Nicolas is trying to find a family heirloom that his grandfather gave to a visiting American lady but he never dr

I was drawn to reading this by the fun cover after recently reading another cute contemporary summer romance.

A Royal Second Chance Summer tells the story of a secret wine heiress who was her own antique shop and the secret European Prince in town to find his grandfather’s lost family heirloom. They join together to find the heirloom and along the way they plan the towns’s big summer Fourth of July bash… also fall in love❤️.

But… as always when their secrets are reviewed they no longer trust each

This is the first book I have read by Viv Royce and it won’t be the last, I really enjoyed this entertaining sweet royal romance that left me smiling and feeling happy.
Nicolas is on a mission he wants to get a family heirloom back and give it to his grandfather for his upcoming birthday, he has found out a local antique dealer may know of its whereabouts but Lizzie fears he is there to rob her of a deceased woman’s valuables and she has him arrested. Being arrested doesn’t stop the instant attr

The moment Nicolas steps into this new town, he is sent the cops to arrest him by Lizzie, the town’s antique dealer. She saw him meandering and wandering outside the property she was working on, could he be a thief coming to steak from this deceased’s woman’s valuables?! Lizzie was not waiting around to find out, so she called the cops, who then arrested poor Nicolas.

Nicolas is immediately mesmerized and smitten by Lizzie, as she with him. What a cute idea of them meeting and liking each other,

A Royal Second Chance Summer by Viv Royce a sweet five-star read. This is number two in the Little Shops on Heart Street but they can be read as stand-alone, I have read number two but missed number one and I didn’t think I missed anything as each novel tells the story of a different shop. This is sweet and romantic and just what I needed at the moment to brighten my day, it was nice to run away to Heart Street, Wood Creek and just live vicariously imagining the lovely song played by a musical b ...more

received this ARC through Netgalley in return for my honest opinions.

This book has everything that I love in those cheesy Hallmark movie I devour when I am in need of a dose of happy.

An antiques dealer escaping her family and an undercover prince searching for a lost family heirloom. The laughs, the cringeworthy moments that make you smile like dork and a satisfying conclusion.

It is 100% everything you need for a light and lovely read

This story gave me serious Hallmark movie vibes! Small town girl falls for a foreign visitor to their small town. Turns out he’s a prince!
It’s a quick lighthearted read. A little cheesy at times. Perfect for those looking for a sweet and clean romance.

Sweet romance fans are going to fall head over heels in love with Viv Royce’s enchanting and delightful tale, A Royal Second Chance Summer.

Lizzie Cates had come to the small town of Wood Creek and vowed to make a success of herself and her antiques business. Sure, it hasn’t always been easy, but she is currently in a stage in her life where she is perfectly content with her lot in life. With her business thriving and a close circle of friends, she certainly has got enough to keep her busy. Roman

I was lucky enough to receive an Advanced Reading Copy of Viv Royce's A Royal Second Chance Summer thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, scheduled for release June 2020. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've started reading more and more books from Entangled Publishing, as I find they manage to perfectly hit the note between romance, plot, characters and storyline and fit exactly what I'm looking for, and this was no exception. I do also have to give a special nod to the fact that un

A Royal Second Chance Summer!

I don’t believe I’ve never read this author before! I truly enjoyed this book, as the writing draws you in and you enjoy the rollercoaster feelings by the characters throughout their journey. This book is the 3rd book in Viv Royce’s Little Shops on Heart Street series. And even though I haven’t read the previous 2 books, I was fine understanding the characters and the small town feeling.

Nicolas is a Prince of the country of Belford, but he was going incognito in th

Character Chemistry: They both seem more interested in themselves than in each other, honestly
Plot: Prince goes looking for priceless lost heirloom in the United States and ends up in a small-town antique dealer’s shop looking for help. Small-town shop owner agrees to help but has her own secrets.
Overall: I just couldn’t buy into this one--the characters seemed to kind of bump along and I never believed they’d really be happy in the end.

By now everyone know my love for royal romances and I was excited to dive in this story from a new to me author. Nicolas and Lizzie was a couple as sweet as it can be, their meet up was a huge misunderstanding, but later their grow connection, friendship, support and love was so good.

Nicolas is crown heir from Belfort and he goes to the small town of Wood Creek to try to find a family heirloom his grandfather gave away. That’s when he meet Lizzie, she is a antique specialist with her own shop, a

"A Royal Second Chance Summer" by Viv Royce

My Speculation:

A Cinderella story where the setting will involve Lizzie, who owned an antique shop, will meet Nicolas, who was a prince who was looking for a long lost item. What will happen when Lizzie finds how just who he is...a prince of Belfort. What was up with Lizzie that she seemed so ashamed of not wanting anyone to know abou

I’m not, in general, a fan of royal romances, because they generally seem hugely implausible to me. However, I had greatly enjoyed the previous two books in the series (A Family by Christmas and A Valentine Proposal), so I decided to give this one a chance. I’m glad I did.

The story is delightful, charming, and romantic (of course). It was lovely to return to Heart Street, and there were small cameos from the characters from the previous books. It’s such a lovely setting, and this time, we had th

Just as lovely as A Family by Christmas and A Valentine Proposal, this third book in a series could also be read first if you wanted to save the Christmas theme for December and the Valentine one for February.
This time the focus is on Lizzie, owner of the antique shop, and the theme is the 4th of July. I enjoyed getting to know Lizzie more than as a friend of Emma and Cleo (heroines of the previous books), meeting Nicolas (prince of a fictional European country that sounds like a place I'd lik

This is my first read of this series although I am a great fan of the author's mysteries (written under a different name).

Nicolas is in the States to search for a family heirloom. Lizzie, an antiques dealer, is just the sort of person who could help him only he doesn't make a very good first impression. As time goes on, however, there is no denying a mutual attraction but with neither of them being honest about their family situation - he's a Royal Prince, her family is rich - there is little ch

So I have never read anything by this author or in this series and if the other books in the series are half as good as this one then I can't wait to read them. I could not put this book down the author has a way of drawing you and where you loose all sense of time and you need to know what's going to happen. I was a fan of Nicolas for most of the book but there was on part where I literally wanted to just reach into the book and punch him.... UGH!! Hands down one of my favorite characters in th ...more

Viv Royce is a new to me author so I wasn't quite sure what to expect with A Royal Second Chance Summer so I was delighted for the sweet, Hallmark movie type story which instantly captured my attention. DNF-ed at 49%--overall, it's just a vaguely silly story with fairly juvenile-acting characters who spend waaaaay too much time inside their heads musing alone with their own thoughts and not nearly enough IRL where they, I don't know, maybe could have actual conversations with each other?

(I mean, really. Why would Nicholas immediately decide that Lizzie's dating the first guy their age she introduces him to in town? Why? Because they're friendly and his daughter likes her? Honestly. ASK HER, you

I loved this novel. I found it to be a cute contemporary summer romance perfect for reading during these summer months. I actually love royal romances so I found this to be fun and light and I really enjoyed everything about it. It is the third book in the Little shops on heart street series.
The book is beautifully written and made me smile so much. This is a sweet not-so cliched royal romance that I enjoyed (but I wanted more interaction between the leads) And the secondary characters were muahh *chef kiss* their romance
I loved the story as a whole but I wanted more of the leads, but it just flowed so naturally and the plot was unique that I wanted to read more. I wanted more tbh
