Ninjas and black cats? Sure. Nothing like a little Halloween… in MAY!
Clinton is happy with his life the way it is. He owns his own restaurant, lives with his twin and his twin's best friend and his relationship status has been pinging at single for a long time, which is right where he likes it. Sure, living with a super-sexy alpha who makes him laugh and charms him without even trying can sometimes make him wish for things, but some people just weren't meant for happily ever after.
Easton is afraid of change. When something works, why the hell would anyone want to change it. And that is exactly how he feels about his life. He has his father, his best friend and his… Clinton. They make an odd, but happy family, and the thought of changing that just because he's always craved a kiss from Clinton's sassy mouth or for their snuggles and hugs to happen with a little less clothing, scares him.
When they cross that line between friendship and lovers, they promise they'll end it before they get in to deep, but what happens if they were already too far out before they even dove in?
Changing Our Status is book eight in my lighthearted, Omegaverse Sprung Like Spring novella series. These books can be read as stand-alones but getting to know the overlapping characters will make it worth reading in order. There will be fluff, humor and probably some pining, so sit back, relax and take a break from the horrors of reality!
Since this is apparently the last book of the Sprung Like Spring series and honestly I rushed from book to book without reviewing each book in my wish to devour each one I will sorta review all! Damn that was a long sentence! Anyway, here it goes! The author is quite masterful in packing a huge punch of feels into each book while at the same time writing some of the HOTTEST sex scenes I have read. Add to that her wonderful ability to pack a ton of "laugh out loud" humor in as well and I was hooked. The only less that perfect thing I can say about this series is that every so often a speeling error creeps in... luckily this is rare enough to not be annoying! I love the huge interconnected family in tese book and look forward to the new spin-off series that is coming soon!
This was a bunch of recap it felt like. I wanted more of these two. I wanted to see Clint at the bar he owns. I wanted to see Easton be the teacher that he is. I wanted to see them with Fox & Coley, these two were constantly in Coley's book and he made like a 2 sentence appearance in this one. So weird. Thought I'd like this one more than I did :(
I adored this series, and Clinton and Easton were probably my favourite. They were sweet, snarky and absolutely hilarious. That epilogue had me in stitches.
As a whole for the series, the storyline was light and fluffy and I hate not finishing a series if I start. I should’ve given up on this one but I had to find out the ridiculousness that was going to keep ensuing. There was all the tropes you could think of at some point and lots of craziness and families and love and babies and togetherness. But the editing was atrocious. Like seriously bad... wrong names or spellings, missing quotations for conversations so I’d have to figure out if the characters were still talking or not... I mean at one point a character’s profession changed from what it was mentioned as at the beginning of one book to the end of the next which was his book with no mention of a career change... So even though I mostly enjoyed the storyline I probably won’t start another series by this author
I loved getting to read this book about Clinton and Easton. I was first introduced to them when I read the previous book in the series which is about Clinton's brother and Easton's dad. This book takes place at the same time as the previous book in the series but the author did a great job of not having scenes in this book that were in the previous book. I especially loved the epilogue. I was rolling with laughter. I look forward to reading more of the author's books. I read this book using the Kindle program.
Though it says these can all be read as a stand alone, this one can't. The story inexplicably jumps two months forward with no explanation. We miss all the part of the couple being together after their moment. I only know what happened because I read the precursor scene from another characters perspective in the last book. Even the explanation didn't really make sense. Poor ending to series
I absolutely love this light-hearted series about the various men in these families finding love and their happily ever after. We saw Clinton and Easton in Coley and Fox's book and their hilarious antics but in their own story we saw how they fell into bed and into love. This was short and sweet and perfect!
I hate to see this series come to an end but I know more is coming with a different but connected family so I can’t wait! Easton and Clinton had such a great connection. I love how most of the time they could communicate without actually saying a word. I’m excited for more!
Changing Our Status is the eigth book in tge Sprung Like Spring series by JD Light. This is a hilarious good time of a Bromate romance with an MPreg. Clinton and Easton are fabulous. I am so glad I read this book and series... its a great way to escape a bad mood, because you can't help but smile and feel light after these books. Humor, sweetness, heat and fun!
I giggled every time the Felton-Hester-Walden’s assembled for their group family reunions! The antics and dialogue amongst the cousins was hilariously enjoyed. These romances were lighthearted and fun with a good measure of heat! I loved each journey from courtship to love, pregnancy and forever. Overall, each was a good read and highly recommended!
Only in JD Light's Omegaverse would a tight cat suit and a pair of red lace manties lead to what is probably the hottest book in the series. Clinton and Easton burn up the sheets and the pages as they turn their friend/roommate status to lovers. Another sweet and fluffy read from the queen of fluff and froth.
That series helped me.ti get my reading goal. 2023 was so busy I didn't read as much as I usually do. When I started reading that series I hoped for some light funny shorts. And they were partly funny and for sure fast to read. But they got more and more ridiculous and over the top. Also the writing got worse somehow, I can't even say why. So this might probably be a one off with the author.
Another fun book from J D. Light. This one features Clinton and Easton, and I found myself often laughing out loud, but always smiling. I love this entire crazy family.
So what happens the night of the vandalism? All is revealed and a whole lot more in this fun fluffy book. We also meet one of Foster's at work so hopefully Dawes ' book comes soon. I really enjoy these books they are so much fun.
AHH!! this was perfectttttt... I loved their relationship so much.
It made me laugh a lot. The sex scenes were super hot, I think the only problem is that everything happened super fast but it is a short story, so is understandable
Easton and Clinton were hilarious, sexy and so hung up on change that they almost missed out on being happy!! I love this series. This is just what I needed right now, with all the craziness going on. Great book!😍
