About the author

Virginia Martin is an award winning author, who has written several inspirational poetry books, an insightful quotes book, and writing journals. She has always had a passion for writing, and especially enjoys the genres of Poetry, Christian Fiction, and Romance. In order to motivate herself to write every day, she started a blog (The Writer Today) in 2008. She kept the blog for five years and then created her author site, Virginia Martin- Author, where she shares writing, book reviews, author interviews, and personal interest stories.

In her writing journey, Virginia has attended various writing conferences/workshops, author book signings and book events. For the past two years she has participated in NaNoWriMo and is a member of Florida Romance Writers, and Romance Writers of America.

Virginia's next works in progress are a prayer book, poetry book, and a Christian romance novelette. Aside from reading and writing, she enjoys taking pictures, listening to Christian music and playing Scrabble.

This is a beautifully written book. Virginia Martin and Chad Thieman have created poems and prayers that speak to the heart and soul, and, if used as a devotional, will give you words from the Father to lead you through each day. Several of the poems and prayers spoke to me personally, and were just what I needed to read that day.
We should all take time in our busy lives to connect with our Lord and Saviour, and you will find the offerings in this book can inspire and calm you, refresh your soul, and lead you home.

This is a great inspirational book that can be used as a Devotional as the pages have ample room to add Bible verses as well as thoughts. The prayers and poems are very pertinent to daily life.
I see this book as appropriate for people of all ages.
I am going to add this to my gift list and see it as being perfect for birthday or holiday gift giving.

My Little Book of Poetry and Prayer has 40 poems and prayers that encourage, inspire and comfort your soul. It is an excellent book to use for reflection, meditation and devotion. I highly recommend it and hope it blesses those that read it.
