This Was Truly My Feel Good Read of the Year

I love Jeannie Moon's books but this one met me where I am right now. I identified with Jane so much: I have, and still am, facing the loss of my career of my heart; I have a daughter that I'm enormously proud of but miss so badly because she is in grad school; I am around Jane's age and I love my posse as much as she does. This book gives hope to those over forty who yearn for the adventure of love but fear it has passed them by. It encourages the rea

Christmas in Angel Harbor was a sweet, satisfying, emotional second chance at love story featuring characters over 50 which made me love it all the more. There’s something extraordinary about small town romances and add in the holiday season and they become even more enjoyable, such was the magic that this author wove into her story.

Jane Fallon returned home from her career in anthropology to run the family’s bookstore when her father passed away at just over 50. While that hadn’t been her life’

Oh, this book!

I was able to read an early version of CHRISTMAS IN ANGEL HARBOR and am so glad I did. This book is special. First, the Christmas traditions that can become saccharine and "too much" in other novels are understated in this one. When mentioned, they evoke poignancy and joy without overpowering the characters with sparkle and tinsel.

The main characters are mature. Dan and Jane grew up together, but never took the chance on romance when they were young. Dan lived the life Jane dream

A very satisfying and romantic read about second chances, featuring an attractive mature couple, “Christmas in Angel Harbor”, by Jeannie Moon (Tule Publishing), is both sweet and heartwarming and conveys the hopeful message that love chooses no age.
I loved the strong and easy bond between Danny and Jane and how they reconnected so smoothly. I adored the way the author wrote the romance, with no extra justifications, complacency or pate

A heart warming story about love after 50 set in a charming Long Island town during the holiday season. When life turns in a totally different direction for both Jane and Dan, they reconnect and rekindle the friendship they left behind in their 20s. A lovely story about second chances and finding love later in life.

What a wonderful story. Sweet but not too much. A second chance romance with many years between.
The characters are warm and real,
the dialogue is beautiful. The story flows from the first page to the last. Christmas is represented bit doesn't overtake.
It is nice to read about love after 50. I found love later in life myself so I strongly identified with Jane and Dan.
I highly recommend this book, it has a heartwarming feeling but keeps it all real.

There is a definitive lack of romance books written about “seasoned” characters. Being that I am in that seasoned age bracket myself, when I hear about one I am very interested in reading it. But Jeannie Moon has been more miss than hit for me recently so I wasn’t sure how this one would go. Well, it went okay.

Jane Fallon is a single mom who will be sending her only child off to college next year, leaving her wondering what’s next in life. She has big plans to expand the bookstore that’s been in

Christmas in Angel Harbor hit all the right notes for me. A story set in a small town at my favorite time of the year. A heroine who is beyond the first bloom of life, who has some history, some life experience who is, once again, facing a challenge for her future. A hero who returns home with a broken spirit reconnecting with his past and finds his future as well. So. Yeah. All of the magic I need to know that I’m going to love a book… and I was not wrong at all.

If you are a book lover, then Jeannie Moon’s Christmas In Angel Harbor is the perfect book! It is the story of mystery writer extraordinaire Dan Gallo, and his reconnection with childhood best friend Jane Fallon. They were inseparable during their high school years, and on the cusp of being lovers when they lost contact while attending different colleges. It’s been over twenty years… twenty years in which Dan became successful, famous, wealthy, and more withdrawn into a cocoon of his own design. ...more
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. What an amazing book! It’s not often that the holiday sweet romances are about a more mature couple. As an older reader myself, I really enjoyed this wonderful story. It was sometimes necessary to grab a Kleenex and other times it was the sweet happy moments of family and friends. This is a stand-alone book that takes place in Angel Harbor, New York just before Christmas. It is the second Chance story of Jane and Dan who ...more

This story warmed my heart and was just…wonderful. It was a second-chance holiday romance and, what made it even better, is that both Jane and Dan have both had successful lives and are more mature. Neither had the life they planned for, especially Jane, but they were successful.
Jane and Dan spent a lot of time together in high school and even through college. Jane professed her feelings, wanting more, but Dan, who knew they had different dreams…plus he was scared, left Angel Harbor and didn’t l

Christmas in Angel Harbor by Jeannie Moon is a special holiday read. I love second chance romance and this is just perfect. Dan Gallo and Jane Fallon grew up together and have a history, but one day he walked away. He built what many considered to be the ideal life. A successful lawyer turned author until a tragedy made him rethink his career.

Jane had dreams too. Dreams she turned her back on when her father unexpectedly passed away. They each took a different path that eventually brought them t

A Capraesque Christmas story with all the feels, complete with a later in life romance, a bookstore as a central part of town, and the friends and family surrounding the holidays.

Jane is worried when her lease isn't renewed per usual, and justifiably so. The bookshop, a central gathering part of town, combined with Jane, is the glue holding the traditions of Angel Harbor intact. Her mother is a snowbird moving south, her daughter to college, and the turmoil over the lease has Jane wondering what

Gifted author Jeannie Moon swept me away to the quaint town of Angel Harbor in her newest book, Christmas in Angel Harbor. The town is the embodiment of small town life, especially at receives the gift of love through the presence of Jane and her generational book store, Harbor Books. Jane Fallon and Dan Gallo were close friends during their youth. All was great until Dan graduated college and went off to law school , leaving Jane heartbroken. As both started to move ahead in their lives, Jane’s dream of becoming an archeologist came tumbling down the day her father died. She left her dreams and created new ones when she took over the family owned bookstore in Angel Harbor.
After a few years as a lawyer, Dan became a very successful author. Now over twenty years later, and aft

You know when you read an author’s latest book and you think that they couldn’t possibly deliver a better one? Well I’ve just finished Jeannie Moon’s latest, best and most beautiful book, Christmas at Angel Harbor, and with this gorgeous offering she has surpassed her previous offerings.

This is a great light Christmas read that shows romance is still attainable in your 50's. Set in a wonderful small New England town with great characters that create realistic small town values and ideals. Jane has lived her whole life in Angel Harbor, taking over the family bookstore when her father died. It is a central point of the town and Jane is loved by all. Christmas in Angel Harbor is the perfect holiday read for the season. Jane is a strong woman, but she’s at crossroads in her life that she’s unsure how to handle. Dan’s come back to town after 25 years away, hoping to find his words again, but also changing the direction of his writing career.

Christmas in Angel Harbor is a delightful story to read any time of year. Jeannie Moon writes with the ease of expression that Dan came home looking to find again. “November on Long Island was unpredictable. Kind of like a woman.” From this first line, I felt that this would be a story that I would love and remember. Turns out that I was right. Beautifully written with complex characters who reconnect in friendship that turns to love naturally. Life happens and it happens in this story.

Christmas in Angel Harbor is a second chance romance. I have to say that I have not read a story line like this one. I found it to be refreshing, sweet and unique. It is about finding love again after 50. Their story feels so real and I could easily identify with the main characters. The story line was beautifully written, and it touched a place deep in my heart. I would highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jeannie had me at seasoned characters and Christmas in Angel Harbor is a wonderful escape from all that is real right now.
