There were things that I liked in the second book of this series, but there were a lot more that I did not!!
Layla and Miller’s journey was not that enjoyable for me.
Layla’s grandmother might have made me laugh but her behaviour was too far fetched, reaching the limits of stupidity and disgrace.
Layla had a secret which was revealed towards the end of the story. Up to that point there was no hint or indication of its existence. It seemed as though the writer wanted to create a little dram ...more

Layla is an indipendent woman with a great career: her sport talk show on the radio is well known.
She doesn't trust easily so she is okay with one- night stand relationships.
But there's something in Miller Adams that had always get to her. She refuse to cave in 'cause Miller is everything she hate: a cocky womanizer.
When a charity event give her the chance t really spend time with him, she gonna find out he is nothing she thought he was.

I personally did not enjoy this at all, but it wasn't so much a quality issue as it was a storyline that was a bit rough for me. While I liked the first book in the series, this one had a few elements that completely took me out of the story. It was like every time I started to get into it, something else would happen. From OW drama to an exceedingly cocky hero to a VERY strange (and VERY problematic) scene involving the heroine's grandmother (we'll definitely talk more about that in a minute),

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I could not wait to get my hands on this little gem. I looked forward to Layla and Miller’s story ever since I met them in Only One Kiss.

I have had such a really long week and all I have wanted to do was curl up in bed and read. Instead I have had to read a chapter here and there. As such I found it hard to connect with the story. Which sux because I am a huge fan of Natasha Madison. And I adored Only One Kiss so I was really looking forward to this one.
Miller took me a little off guard. I expected him to go all out trying to win Layla and I guess in his own way he did. He just didn't realise that he was approaching it all wrong. ...more

Only One Chance was such a good read with a beautiful group of characters that you can know better in the other books of the series.
Miller is a hockey player who likes flirting. Layla is a sports radio host. They've known each other for years and even if he has been trying hard to go out on a date with her she has always declined his invitation until now. During a charity party, where there were quite a lot of champagne consumption, Layla bid the higher sum of money to win a date with Miller. A

I really enjoyed this second book in the Only One Series. Miller is such an amazing hero and what made this book so good for me! He's cocky, but shows that there's so much more to him than a player on and outside the ice. The way he's been dedicated for years to get Layla's attention was truly charming. He's sweet and so thoughtful in his courtship of her that he had me enamored.
I felt that Layla was a little cold at times toward Miller, without any reason. The wa ...more

Natasha Madison is back with the second standalone in the Only One series and y'all, what an epic journey. I freaking loved the first, heck really anything Natasha writes but this was one was a bit.. different but in sooooo many good ways.
Only One Chance was everything that I needed it to be in all the ways, even those not so fun times (that ending made up for it and left me needing SO MUCH MORE!!). I adored this book, these characters, and this story. This was a romance with one strong ...more

The last thing Layla wants to do is talk to Miller because the last time she saw him, he had his face all over a bimbo! If it was up to her she would not be the one interviewing him because she knows the kind of man Miller is- an overrated playboy! Even though Layla has made mistake in her life she knows what men like Miller really until he surprises her.
The chemistry is undeniable but is Miller worth her heart? Will he judge her once he knows her past? Can Miller be happy with one woman? So ma ...more

Only One Chance is a fun and sweet enemies to lovers story. Layla is the host of a popular sports radio talk show. Miller is a hockey player with the Dallas Oilers. He is a ladies man and quite a bit of a flirt.
They both admit there is attraction and chemistry between them, but Layla is not at all interested in a guy who can’t seem to get enough of all the women fawning all offer him.

I'm hanging on a thin thread here...
cause damn, where have all the alpha men gone?!
i mean, i'm stunned and like....

what is happening?

it feels like a huge sidetrack from anything I have ever read from this author and I actually love her books...

Gross.
Had to stop 25% in.
What a gross scene.
Now that I have it in my head, I can’t continue.

I absolutely loved Miller and Laylas love story. I'm so glad she didn't fall backwards for him and made him work. Working hard for love that was meant to be wasn't and easy road but our boy does us proud. Loved this book and the beautiful HEA they got.

Natasha Madison has done it again!!! If I had to sum up my reading experience in 3 words, I would say;
HOOKED, ENGROSSED, ADORED!!
Only One Chance is much more than a sport romance!
Layla and Miller’s story was emotional and utterly absorbing. Miller embodies everything that Layla despises in a man- he’s cocky and a womaniser.
However, after winning the auction, she has to spend time with him and realised that there’s more to the guy than the Hockey player.

This turned out an uneven story at best. Sorry, not a fan.
Miller was a pro hockey star & Layla had her own radio
sports show. He'd been flirting with her for 4 years and
got nowhere. She thought him a player.
Layla 'won' Miller at a charity auction. The heroine's Grand-
ma went on the date with the H in place of the h. G'ma came
across as silly rather than funny. The h revealed her secret
3/4 th in. The H had a OTT response. IMO, the H + h did not
fit together, except in a sexual context. I felt ...more

Only One Chance is an emotional, sexy and highly entertaining enemies to lovers, sports romance and the second installment in Natasha Madison's addictive Only One series. I'm a huge sucker for her deliciously hot hockey hunks with hearts of gold and feisty, strong and independent heroines. Nat truly knows how to make you fall irrevocably in love with her charming, intriguing characters and make you feel invested in their story. I was rooting for Layla and Miller since book one and wanted them to

Going into Only One Chance, I never anticipated that Miller's and Layla's story would be such an emotional roller-coaster that would make me cry ugly tears. Kudos to the amazingly talented Natasha Madison for writing such a deeply touching story with two incredibly loveable characters you can't help but fall irrevocably in love with! I'm a huge fan of Natasha's books, especially her hockey ones, because they are definitely hands down one of the best in this genre. Once you get a taste of them, y

The second book in the latest series from Natasha Madison and wow, it was so good.
The writing was strong with characters that you cannot help but fall for and whose story you quickly become invested in. I was hooked from the first chapter and was frustrated when real life got in the way of reading.

A thousand hockey stars!!!! What can I say that hasn’t been said before about Natasha Madison’s books? The amazing plot, the genuine characters, the connection you can totally feel between them and the writing, they all are just perfect; a sports romance with a dash of comedy and scorching hot scenes…well, there’s nothing better.

I just have to put it out there, things have been rough these last few months and this book, it brought me so much joy and happiness and laughter that was so needed that I can never thank Natasha Madison enough for it. I had tears, I was laughing so hard at moments in this book. But with laughter there was such raw emotional heartbreak in this book. Not just for Layla but for Miller too. My heart just aches for them when things implode. It was so powerful that I felt their emotions and pain.

I already knew I'm going to love Layla and Miller when we were introduced to them in the first book and damn, I'm so glad to say I was right. There's just something about these love-hate, tense relationships that always get me.

I did not finish this book after reading a really troubling few scenes involving the hero and the heroine's grandmother. It was supposed to be funny? I think? But it was just awful. The grandmother "Grandma Nancy" basically sexually assaults Miller repeatedly after Layla forces him to take her grandmother on a date. Then she appears naked in front of him with another man demanding a threesome at which point Miller escapes and hides. Layla's reaction to all of this is to LAUGH at him.

Natasha Madison can do no wrong with hockey romances. Only One Chance is the story of Miller and Layla.
Miller seems like such a playboy but is starting to feel his age. For several years Layla has been elusive to him and I think it makes her a bigger target. Layla with secrets of her own sees his womanizing ways and steers way clear. When drunken mistake brings them into each others lives more than before its game on!

When we met Layla in Book1 she was adamant she hated Miller. But you just knew that there was a thin line between love and hate.
I loved Miller and Layla's story. No matter how many times Layla pushed Miller away he just didn't give up. I loved how he kept checking Google to see what to do next🤣

This is a really fun read, the second book in the Only One series, and a sweet, funny, swoony sports romance with lots of feels.
Note that even though this is the second in the series, it can easily read as a standalone, though the couple from the first book are a part of the story.

I couldn’t WAIT to read Miller’s book and see what kind of woman would bring this hockey playboy to his knees. And of course, it had to be Layla, the sophisticated and successful sports talk show host. These two had been dancing around each other for a while and I’m so glad they got together!
