This volume finds Issei and Shinzuku each doing a post-mortem of the fourth Apostle competition. Shinzuku is upset with his loss and realizes his selection shared qualities with his mother. Since the winning wine had entirely different qualities, he concludes that his father's first love was not his mother. Does he know anything about his father's life?
Fortunately, soon a new distraction appears. While Shinzuku is visiting Robert Doi, executor of Yutaki Kanzaki's estate, police arrive and accuse Robert of the theft of 5 nearly priceless bottles of wine from Yutaki's home.
Issei and Shinzuku unite to find the real culprit with a classic mystery trope--gather the suspects for dinner and wine and figure out who is the guilty party.
Of course this leads to a new side quest for Issei and Shinzuku who are tasked with identifying an entire wine cellar of unlabelled bottles.
