This book gave me all the feels. Jamie is just plain swoon worthy at 18. I just wished we could get an epilogue of an older Jamie. I want to see how much more Swoon worthy he can get as he gets older.

This was a good book. Hazel and James are both at camp. Each one having to deal with their own issues. Hazel keeps insisting they can't be together. However, after getting lost and James almost dying she changes her mind. Thankfully in the end they get their happy ending.

I was so exited to read this book. I was anticipating it. However, for my particular tastes, I don't read anything with an "f" bomb swear word in it. It's just my preference. Teenagers or not. Invested or not. So I'm so disappointed but I had to stop at 7% just as it was getting sort of interesting.

Hazel Walker and James Forrester don't appear to have much in common at first glance. Hazel is the only daughter of a veteran. She's being raised by her dad and grandpa and is more at home fixing cars than fixing her hair. Money is scarce in her home but love and support are not. She's a small town girl who can see no future for herself. Jamie is the son of a retired football star turned Senator. His brothers are both football stars. Jamie is more at home behind the lens of a camera than on a field. His father has Jamie's future all planned out whether Jamie wants it or not. But first appearances can be deceiving. Here they are, both in Montana at Wander Mountain, where young adults come for adventure therapy. This is a dream come true for Hazel. She wants a chance at freedom, a chance to prove something to herself, to find herself. Jamie would rather be anywhere else; he's being forced to attend. But at the end of their camp experience, both Hazel and Jamie have had the adventure of a lifetime and started another that could last a lifetime.

Everyone who has faithfully read my reviews knows that Christina Benjamin's Boyfriend Series is my favorite. I can gush embarrassingly about these books for a ridiculous length of time. I can rank the books, the couples, and tell you the moment I fell in love with each character. I have laughed, cried, and fumed over each book. I consider this series essential to my library and my goal is to one day own them all. The happiness they give me is undeniable. So you would think that when I start a new one, I might be worried about the new one not measuring up to my incredibly high expectations. Nope! I'm just excited about each new chance to fall in love all over again. I'm not sure how she does it but Ms. Benjamin never disappoints. I laughed, I cried, I fumed. This book thrilled me. Hazel and Jamie make me swoon. Their first meeting, their banter, their frustrating stubbornness, Jamie's passion for photography, Hazel playing the guitar, Hazel eating, Jamie's bravery and Hazel's fear, Jamie's fear and Hazel's bravery, both of their losses, pain, guilt, and vulnerabilities; Lugnut, pink books, penny candies, Gramps and dad, the Couple's Curse, and Key West. This list is just part of what makes this book so special. I was on Wander Mountain with these two every step of the way. I was inside the box, outside the box, wanting to erase the box. I heard the corny catch-phrases and learned their wisdom along with Jamie. I realized why I was really there with Hazel. I took the leap with them. They gave me hope. I fell in love.

So much cuteness!! James and Hazel were so adorable together and absolutely perfect. This book gave me so many feels I couldn't take it. I read almost half the book in one sitting because I just want to be bundled up in all of the cuteness. Christina Benjamin never ceases to amaze me at being able to create not only the perfect boyfriends but the perfect couples. Sure, they have baggage sometimes but who doesn't and honestly that's what makes them more likable.

Hazel goes to Wander Mountain to have an adventure away from her small town. James is being sent to Wander Mountain because his dad doesn't like their choices he has made. When an almost car accident throws the two together they become inseparable. When a five-day hike turns south they have to fight not only for each other but for their lives.

Hazel is one of my favorite girlfriends in this series for multiple reasons. One, she is also a member of the fun-sized group (hey fellow short girl). Two, she can eat and I am right there with you James. (I love a girl that can eat (: ). Three, I loved how easily she was able to dish back the sarcasm and comebacks with James. I loved James too but I think this one could have been called The Lost Girlfriend because I think she stole the show. All kidding aside James was a very dreamy boyfriend, very charming. I loved how he treated Hazel. They made me feel all warm and cozy anytime they were together.

When the other girls were introduced into the story I was a bit worried they would all be terrible but I was surprised they weren't. I mean, of course, there was a mean girl in the story. Would it be a young adult story if there wasn't a mean girl in it somewhere but honestly she was harmless.

I can't wait to meet the next Boyfriend!

Love can conquer all - emotional, romantic and suspenseful

I've read two other books from "The Boyfriend" series and both time they were emotionally charged and very moving stories. It's no different with that one. It touched my heart and my soul, moved me to the core. I love emotional reads with all the angst and some dramatic events. This makes book or story so much more interesting but also made the book to stand out from the other reads available on the market.
I enjoyed the story itself and I really connected with the main characters. They are fantastic and they were in this book like "(...) two magnets of the same charge, pushing and pulling with electric ferocity." Being with them on this camp and to witness how their relationship and feelings toward each other evolved was something special. They made me laugh, they made me cry and they made me smile. It is emotional roller-coaster and fantastic romantic story. Loved every single moment of it.

This story kept on the edge of my seat a well written story that kept me turning pages. Hazel Walker and James Forrester will have so much to get through from their pasts, then trying to survive, to near death and finding romance. This was a story that I was not putting down until I finished reading, it has a great storyline and the pages flowed smoothly from one to the other. I recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a great book to get “ lost” in. The story is plenty long so you can immerse yourself in it and go on an outdoor adventure with Jamie and Hazel.
The journey gets tough along the way both physically and mentally and at times the reader is not sure how or if it will work out. They are both such great characters that you desperately want them to overcome obstacles and be happy.
Snuggle up for a chilly, sweet, intense ride.

I was a little unsure about reading when I realized the age of the main characters, but as I got into the story, I found I forgot their ages and just concentrated on them. You have to keep reading to find out if they make it, both literally and physically. This story will keep you involved. Thank you, Christina Benjamin, for a great story

This book has definitely become one of my favorites in the series. This really was a good book to end the series on. I was emotional through the whole thing. But honestly my favorite part of this book was the epilogue. I loved this series and all the books in it, the only problem I have is the fact that there are no more books in the series.

I thought this book was AMAZING! It's a great story about wanting to find yourself but finding out you already know yourself. A great love story for the ages. It has everything. Learning to trust, love and never giving up.

Another great book by Christina Benjamin. Hazel and Jamie’s story was more intense than any of the others in the series in that the characters had to overcome a lot more. Both were lost souls trying to find out what was next for their lives. My only complaint is that Hazel was a brat and very mean to Jamie at times. Also, the back and forth of calling Jamie James instead of sticking with just one name.

The Lost Boyfriend is one of my favorites by Christina. With a longer page count she was able to delve deeper with both main characters and give us a bit more of an adventure. I found myself invested, talking to the characters as if they could listen. Great for anyone seeking out a fun, sweet literary adventure.
