This non-fiction tome is actually better than I had anticipated. The even-handed approach to introducing young readers to the wonders of Mexico is very good, and Brian Williams attempted valiantly to include a lot of the difficult-to-pronounce names of Mexican locations while still holding the interest of his readers. This might have been more successful had he included pronunciation aids whenever a particularly puzzling name is used, though. Ultimately, this is a good non-fiction story, and renders an agreeable treatment of a fascinating and ancient culture and nation. I recommend it.
