I bought this because I'm a writer and found it to be an essential resource. Matt Knight covers all the important legal issues that authors need to know about. Given the amount of information in this book, it is extremely good value for money. ...more

As a freelance editor that occasionally works for a small press, I found this book to be an excellent resource. It has helped me create contracts that are fair to both press and authors. I've been able to identify potential pitfalls or sticking points to both parties. Copyrights, liabilities, ethics, collaborations ... I learned so much, and I am able to put what I've learned into practice immediately.
