This is such an interesting series; interconnected in fun ways. This book is my favorite so far. It's a deeply connected, friends-to-lovers contemporary that takes place in beautiful Banff. There's so much to love. The small town. The slow burn. The ridiculous situations Jules gets in trying to play matchmaker for the friend she feels too much for. It's SO FUN to see Jules and Badger fall in love before they have any idea what's hit them. A growly hero against a bubbly heroine fond of costumes? He has no chance *evil cackle* And that steamy pay-off? YES, PLEASE. A thoughtful, sweet, sexy story about opening your eyes to what's right in front of you.

Badger has not had an easy time of it, and his wounds run deep. Now he wants to be left alone to follow his own dreams rather than someone else's. Make award-winning photos, run his gallery, and hang out with the guys on the weekend, adventuring in the mountains followed by beers at the local bar.

Jules, who fancies herself a matchmaker after one success, thinks Badger needs more. And she's determined to help him find love in spite of what he wants. She's got a bit of Bridget Jones going for her--misinterpretations, poor (read that comical) choices based on even worse assumptions, and utter cluelessness about herself.

When their friendship becomes something more, it's not the match either was looking for, but one they both need.

Though I enjoyed reading this book, it could have been even stronger had it undergone one more editing pass.

The third book of the Driven By Fire series is a slow burn, superhot contemporary  friends to lovers romance.
Jules and Badger meet when Badger moves to Banff where he opens a galery and works as a wildlife photographer.
Their chemistry is hot from the start, but Badger has been bitterly disappointed. Once bitten. Twice shy, Badger avoids relationships like the plague.
Jules, the town's inofficial matchmaker, is more interested in finding a match for Badger than for herself.
Neither is exactly looking for love.
But sometimes, love just finds you.
And then there is no escape.
I love this final installment in the Driven by Fire series just as much as I loved the previous ones.

I have now read the four books in this series. I really liked no. 1 and 0.5. I hated no. 2, there was no character development to the heroine, she was the same silly woman at the end as she was in the beginning. This one, no. 3, is much better, slow to read but I liked the characters, especially Badger, I had to warm up to Jules a bit. But the character development is there, you watch them as they become friends and than more, though it does not happen until the end. I wish she would write more like no. 1, that one was so much fun.

This is book three in the series. Jules is oddly different but she is determined to befriend Badger. Badger is not interested in anything but will fake friendship. This was an entertaining story to read, especially if you like friends to lovers. I enjoyed the back and forth between the characters, their chemistry and the wake up moment when they both realize they are so much more than fake friends. Enjoy!
