This board book helps little readers to explore the different types of planes, ships, and cars. As you lift each flap on the page, a new type of transportation is revealed. There is a hot air balloon hidden behind some clouds, and a surprise submarine hiding under the waves.

I think it's very cool that all the flaps are different sizes. There are big ones and little ones to help develop hand-eye coordination in little baby readers. The flaps are fairly thick and sturdy, but the smaller ones are still liable to get torn if you aren't careful.

One main kind of transportation that is NOT included in this book is trains. So if your little one was hoping for a book with trains, this is not it. There are only cars, trucks, boats, and planes.

I love the colorful illustrations! Every page is so attractive with bright colors that are sure to grab the attention of little readers. And all the little animal characters are so cute!

THINGS THAT GO is a delightful lift-the-flap and peek-through exploration of vehicles. In three sets of pages with flaps, die-cuts, and peek-throughs, the book goes through vehicles on land, water, and air. There is a good diversity to the vehicles included, and all are labeled for the reader. Sturdy flaps and bright colors add to the delight in exploring this board book.

What I loved: This is a really interactive board book that children will enjoy checking out. Each vehicle is manned by animals that adds to the fun. Combined with the bright colors, the illustrations are attention-grabbing and great for young children. The diversity of vehicles is fun, and there's many included on each page spread. The flaps are really fantastic- very thick and sturdy, so they will hold up to a lot of use. Some are as large as the page with other small ones behind them. The images are printed on both sides, so children can keep checking out the vehicles and animals while turning them. All the vehicles are also labeled, which is not necessary for adults, but will definitely aid in early word recognition as readers can point out the word for "car," "van," and "boat" as they speak about them.

The length of the book and its simplicity, combined with the easy to turn pages/flaps, makes this great for older infants and young toddlers who can check out the pages and flaps on their own. The length of text is great for this target audience, and the added vehicle labels will add in early reading word recognition.

Final verdict: With bright and delightful illustrations, many cool vehicles, and an interactive design, THINGS THAT GO is a adventure-filled board book that will appeal to infants and toddlers.
