Tomine uses a "broken" wine to show estranged friends that their friendship can also be fixed with a little care and effort. Meanwhile Kanzaki tackles the challenging problem of pairing wine with Korean food after a wine-loving Korean restauranteur wants to add wine for his customers.
Also, Tomine's protege Loulan, a wine savant, is being sabotaged by Ms Saionji and her assistant/co-conspirator.
When Tomine goes to present a lecture and wine-tasting (also in Korea), some of his wine bottles were broken in transit. The wine spillage damaged the labels of the unbroken bottles and the labels were removed.
It's up to Kanzaki and Loulan to figure out which bottle is which without opening them.
Another side quest story and a little bit of cheating. I know it's supposed to help the main character learn about wines, but I feel this was a filler book.
