Ugh, I tried so many times to finish the book. It was so boring that I repeatedly kept falling asleep. I only made it 50% and that is with me skimming so much of it. It never got interesting and nothing really happened. Hardly any conversations or interactions. Just so much internal monologs being way too descriptive just to fill the pages. Way too much fluff for me. I have read many books by her and liked them but not this one.

Not the best book I have read

I love all her books but this one was prolonged with unnecessary details too much had to skip a lot to get to the point.

This book I was hoping was going to be brilliant, but it lost me in places.
The characters are wonderful, story is a great idea, but especially towards the end I couldn’t make out who was in charge of what.
The last two chapters especially were very muddled and didn’t do enough explaining as to who ran what, where they ended up etc.
On the whole I was expecting a little more.
That said about 85 % of it was very good and very enjoyable.

Far fetched rubbish.

Very disappointed in this story, the two books about Luke and Eve were brillant. Not for me sorry, don't waste your money!

Questo libro non ha assolutamente senso.
Raccontato in breve:
Come finisce? Nessuno è riuscito a farlo fuori tranne la protagonista (che ci è riuscita con un coltellino) autoproclamandosi loro regina🥶.
E fu così che si sposarono tutti insieme.
Insomma, più cringe di così non si può.

Broken Sins: A Reverse Harem Dark Mafia Romance

I really enjoy reading Nicole Fox’s Mafia/Bratva books, I won’t say I have a huge collection, but I have a collection I go back to now and again. So, when I saw the Reverse Harem I thought hmmm, I guess I will see how I feel at the end.

I actually didn’t have to wait until the end to know how I felt, this story, the plot and character development had me hooked, right from the prologue. The twists and turns, the highs and the lows kept me turning pages until late in to the night.

Milaya Volkov, daughter of Luka Volkov head of the Volkov Bratva has chosen to go to college on the other side of the country, using an assumed name not a real thought in the world except school and the fact that her parents aren’t smothering her. She has an “I think I know what my father does, but not my problem” kind of attitude, until it is her problem.

The Bianci family runs LA, but the actual family members are run by a crazy Italian who may be addressed as father but hasn’t got an ounce of fatherhood in him. He is sure that the Russina Bratva, specifically the Volkov Brata is trying to move into his territory. Causing his five sons no end of grief he forces his sons, Vito, Mateo, Leo, Dante and his twin Sergio to lead a raid on the Russian Bratva members. Turns out the old Italian Don was wrong; the Bratva was ready for them, many lives were lost that night and only four of the five brothers survived.

Vito, Mateo, Leo and Dante know that they need to retaliate, but thought has to go into it. Someone gives them a tip that Luka Volkov’s daughter is attending school in LA and a plan is hatched.

As I said at the beginning, Nicole Fox can write a good Mafia/Bratva story but this one, wow, this one was special. Right from the moment Milaya is taken until the end. When you think you know what happens next your wrong, this one is one of her best Mafia/Bratva stories to date. The mixing in of the reverse harem adds to the storyline, which is already strong and at the end perfect way to go.

Feels forced but plot has potential

Can be read as a stand-alone even though it is part of the Volkov Bratva series. It is about the daughter of the couple featured in the previous two stories in the series, so for maximum reader satisfaction, the series should be read in series order. There are some reoccurring characters and overarching themes.

This occurs about 22 years after the previous story in the series. Milaya is all grown up and in college at UCLA under a different name to hide her identity. She has been working hard on her degree, but her roommate and best friend finally convinces her to attend a party with her at a hotel.

The Bianci brothers have been living under the craziness of their father for the last few years. While he has always had a temper and did things harshly, he has become more and more deranged. Usually they can work around him, but he has cornered them and wants the Russian Bratva removed from their territory. He refuses to listen to any arguments about more information is needed to plan and goes with them to take them out.

The five brothers lead the attack at the warehouse. Quickly it becomes apparent that it is … empty. No one is there. WTF? So they get with their father and his guards to regroup. Their father doesn’t want to leave and gather more info. He wants to go after them tonight. The brothers carry on and before they know it, they have driven into a trap.

This ends in their father being shot and their youngest brother jumping out to try and save him, despite their warnings that he couldn’t be saved. The other four are forced to abandon them to their death, but swear vengeance against the Russians that killed them. While researching the Bratva, they realize there is an option available locally to bring Luka, the Don of the Russian Bratva, to his knees and realize what it is like to lose family … Milaya, aka Milly.

I enjoy a good reverse harem, stories with darker themes, Bratva, mafia, MC, alien PNRs, etc., but this story was not my favorite from Nicole Fox. There were multiple issues for me and why I only gave it 3 stars. It just didn’t seem to fit with the stories about Milaya’s parents, and actually felt like it could have been authored by someone else. There is one scene that constitutes rape, even though later it would seem to have occurred within a dream. There are also a few scenes that are missing transitions. Then after the action between the brothers and Milaya starts to occur, there are some hygiene issues for me.

I made some notes on the above and a few of the grammatical errors I found. These have been uploaded to Goodreads.com for anyone interested.

⛔️ Contains references to, or detailed scenes with, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including adult language, derogatory terms, mental health issues, steamy intimate scenes between MF, MFM, MFMM, MMFMM, with dominance, submission, restraints, sensory deprivation, knife play, spankings for punishment and pleasure, etc. and violence such as kidnapping, abduction, torture, assault, murder, betrayal, death, coercion, subterfuge, drug use, drug distribution, drug manufacturing, gun running, etc.

Nicole Fox is at it again with yet another twisted masterpiece!

Broken Sins is well written and brings to life four of the most ruthless Bastards to ever live, and love, one woman, yet at at the same time she shows these men are capable of tenderness too. And the women are able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the men, regardless of what the men might think..

While I would never want to experience what the female protagonist went through, I can honestly say I am almost jealous of her relationship with such amazing men, and I can hardly wait for the next book in this series!

Milaya and the Bianci Brothers story

This is a very different book. It begins with a violent and unhinged chapter, which occurs a month after the story begins. I nearly stopped reading the book, but continued because I trusted Ms. Fox's storytelling.
Milaya Volkov is the baby daughter of Luka and Eve Volkov, now 22 years old.
Milaya is attending college in LA, incognito, although she does have 2 full-time bodyguards. Her father is still the powerful Bratva head in NYC.
The Bianci Mafia family controls LA. The aging Don is brutal and mentally unbalanced, with his decisions erratic and dangerous.
There are 5 Bianci brothers. Vito is the oldest and heir apparent. Mateo is the genius, Leo is lover playboy, Dante the unhinged dangerous one, and Sergio, Dante's twin, is the brilliant, quiet one.
The father foolishly orders a raid on the Volkov owned warehouse in LA. Hopelessly outnumbered, the father is killed as is Sergio when he goes to save him.
The four brothers decide to kidnap Milaya and hold her hostage to avenge the deaths.
The story takes so many twists and turns that the reader is left dizzy. Each brother is broken in their own way and each love Milaya.
This is a different and fantastic story. It is very violent for much of the book. I do recommend it.

The war between the Italians and the Russians has been going on for generations, but now the don of the Bianci family wants to end it, so he orders his 5 children to get down to work. They devise an attack but it is an ambush and they end up being surprised by the Russians. During the attack they lose their father and the youngest of the brothers, Sergio. With their forces decimated and their hearts mourning the loss of their brother, they devise another plan to end Luka Volkov: to kidnap his daughter Milaya. And although the plan is successful they didn’t know what awaited them by bringing the princess of the Bratva to their home.
Milaya ends them one by one giving them what they need and ends up transforming hate into love. But even so, the time has come for Luka to face his destiny and they use Milaya to attract him to their house and thus being able to kill him, but before executing their plan, a surprise guest will make his appearance destroying everything in his path.
An action-packed book with a few surprises and twists along the way. I was delighted to see how Milaya affects each brother separately and shows her love in a different way, with a somewhat surprising HEA watching the great change that Milaya undergoes in just 2 weeks that she spends in the Bianci castle.

An absolutely enthralling reverse harem mafia romance with a dark undertone. It certainly caught my attention & kept it until the last page was turned. It has a well-paced, suspenseful plot filled with intrigue & unexpected occurrences. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The four well-developed male characters (Vito, Mateo, Leo & Dante Bianci) have complex personalities & displayed determination combined with some deviousness to get their goals, while the female character (Milaya Volkov) struggles to survive the dangerous world she has been thrust into but she continues to develop into a self-assured, strong-willed woman.
There is: action, adventure, mafia/bratva, family issues, mafia rivalry, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, vengeful feelings, devious plans, abduction, verbal conflict, defiance, deceit, betrayal, secrets, mystery, danger, threats, enemies, conflict, violence, physical conflict, confrontations, brutality, insults, misunderstandings, manipulations, declarations, happiness, love, contentment, steamy scenes & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this mafia romance & would recommend it.

This RH is beyond hot and the characters are so alpha that they will take your breathe away and the heroine was meant to be a Queen. This book is part of the Volkov Bratva series but it focuses on Luka & Eve's daughter Milaya. Milaya is kidnapped by the Bianci brothers (Vito, Mateo, Leo, Dante) have sought revenge on her father Luka and have kidnapped her. What these brothers didn't expect is how powerful and fierce Milaya is and she gives them a run for their money when she expresses quickly that she will not be used and will not be anyone's victim. Milaya is the true Bratva Queen and she will not quietly and she makes these men fall at her feet and worship her. However, there is trouble brewing from an unexpected source and all their lives are in danger including her fathers. This is when Milaya has to take everything she's learned and knows to save all the men she loves in her life. This is an action packed story that will leave you quite satisfied and you will love watching Milaya with her men. She is beautiful, strong, and empowering. This is a perfect book involving some of my new favorite characters. Happy Reading!!

The Bianci men Vito, Mateo, Leo and Dante, have dedicated their entire mafia lives to ensnaring the Bratva organization responsible for the death of their family members, this thirst for revenge hardening their black hearts.
Milaya is the daughter of the head of the Bratva mafia branch, Luca will be the innocent victim ensnared, to be used as bait to trap her father who the Bianci men hold accountable for their tragedy. I have never gotten more emotionally involved in a book before now. I grumbled  I yelled, I shook my head, and I slapped my forehead too many times to count. I got angry, frustrated, astonished, disappointed, so sad, surprised; my emotions ran the spectrum; I was exhausted when I finished the last page. Through it all, you witness Milaya’s transformation from a young girl to a strong, self-assured woman where others would have broken with what she was put through at the hands of the Bianca brothers. I certainly hope you will read this incredible story.

Ms. Fox has been one of my favorite dark mafia authors since I discovered her last year. Now she has taken her damaged mafia antihero and turned it into four brothers in this amazing reverse harem read.
Milaya Volkov is the innocent and guarded daughter of the Bravata boss. She is taken captive in the night by the four Bianci brothers and their plan for revenge against her father.
Her father has killed their father. They have been raised to be emotionless mafia men. Yet once they have Milaya they realize the flaw in their plan was that they never expected to have feelings for her. With high drama and steam this is one of the best RH I have read in a long time.
Great character development and the story was a page turning read I enjoyed from beginning to end. Great POV so you got to know the characters

A story that was dark and violent with hidden lies and betrayal!
by sewsummore

The war between the Russian Volkov and the Italian Biancis started because of territory, but it ended with a marriage. There were faults on both sides, but most dangerous was the fanatical plan originated by the youngest Biancis brother. Many lives were lost that day, but the phoenix rising from the ashes was a female who knew what had to be done and ensured that it was. This book grabbed my attention from the beginning. It was dark and violent, with hidden lies and betrayal. When the smoke finally settled, and peace was between the two mafia families united by a queen, it ushered in a new beginning and a new future for them all. If you are a fan of dark mafia romances, this book will keep you guessing until the end and shock you with the truth!

Milaya Volkov the daughter of Luka Vokov the leader of the Russian Bratva is kidnapped one night from a party by the Bianchi brother. Vito, Mateo Leo and Dante Bianchi who seek revenge for the killing of their father and their brother Sergio the twin to Dante. The Bianchi’s are members of the Italian mafia and Vito is now the don since the murder of his father. Vito is not capable of loving a woman, or so he thinks, since the loss of his Audrey. But Milaya reminds him of Audrey and that is a problem for him. All the brothers are strongly attracted to Milaya and that presents a problem for all of them. This book has so many surprises and twists it will definitely keep you on your toes. Milaya turns out to be a stronger heroine than you would ever think. This was a definite page turner I eagerly read the ARC of and am willingly writing a review of.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the first story I have read by Nicole. It has a great storyline and characters. A daughter who is trying to break away on her own. Four brothers who are out for vengeance. When the family is set up the men lose their father and little brother. They are planning revenge on the Russians when they get a tip that will change each of their lives like they never expected. Milaya is abducted by the Italian mafia. When she leaves an impression on all four men, their revenge might not be as perfect as they thought. This book has twists and turns you will not see coming. I am very glad that I picked up this story. It kept me reading into the night. You will not want to miss out on what happens with these five.

OMG I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN!!!!!!!! AN OUTSTANDING READ
Milaya Volkov is the daughter of Luka Volkov who is the head of the Volkov Bratva. All she wanted is a normal life so she went off to college far away. But that was short lived when she is kidnapped.
Bianchi Brothers Vito, Dante, Leo and Mateo seek revenge for the death of their father and brother. They are part of the Italian Mafia and they have there own way of seeking revenge. But when they meet everything is off the table.
There are so many twist and turns that I am left speechless. There is no chance I'm going to ruin this OUTSTANDING read for you other than to say get ready to have your mind blown away. This book will mess with your head in the very best way. OMG ITS A FANTASTIC READ!!!!!!

“Oh what a tangled web we weave” is how I would portray this amazing reverse harem mafia romance, this genius writing with so many twists and turns makes this an incredible read, following the intriguing plot kept me turning the pages faster wanting more of the plot to unfold. This book consumed me, I would totally recommend this read, very enjoyable and not your typical mafia read either. Captured, humiliated, and loved by four very different troubled brothers who are seeking vengeance following the murder of there father and brother, however betrayal by someone close could be the brothers downfall but help comes from an unexpected source!!! not saying anymore as you need to read this unforgettable book yourselves. I was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was happy to provide.

Although this isn't my favorite book by Nicole Fox, there certainly were some huge twists, turns, and surprises. Milaya Volkov, daughter of the leader of the Volkov Bratva, is kidnapped by the four surviving Bianci brothers, Vito, Mateo, Leo and Dante and being used a pawn for the vengeance of the murder of the Bianci's father and their brother, Sergio. The four brothers, individually fall for and start a relationship with Milaya, but still need their vengeance. Things get really complicated, there is action and tons of drama. The hard part for me was I never felt a true connection between the Bianci"s and Milaya, which is something I expect for Nicole Fox. Not my favorite book of hers but still a good read.

This book was a threw me a bit. Nicole does a great job establishing her characters and writing those mature parts. The problem that really put me off was the ending. The blip that is the first thing you read in the book does not seem to fit in the actual storyline when you read it. I also do not like the storyline she chose for the ending, she had a great opportunity to go a certain way with it (which I think she tried to do) but it fell flat and uneventful. The epilogue really enraged me All in all, I thought the beginning was great and detailed, the climax seemed predictable and flat, and the ending was just annoying.

I enjoy Nicole Fox's books. She has some elements/details wrong in her writing at times, from things such as facts about pregnancy or little things like what rhino horn is made out of (hint it is not ivory) but overall she is a really fun author to read. For the most part, I let the little mistakes go because the nature of her stories are fantastical and improbable anyway. Her books are worth reading for an escape. And I will say she has grown as an author. She has grown A LOT from her early books to some of her best that she wrote in 2023, the Oryolov duet, which are such a delightful read! But this one was a hard no for me. The story felt forced, the characters were harder to get attached to, the writing wasn't as good, and I shouldn't have tried it because I HATE reverse harem romance. HATE THEM. I don't get why it is so popular. That is just my opinion though. I know other people like them. That is fine and if you like Nicole Fox and RH you will probably like this one. If not, stay away. However, I recommend Cruel Paradise and Cruel Promise they are better than this one. The story is engaging and fun and the characters are memorable. Nicole Fox is a fun author and I look forward to seeing what she puts out next.

Milaya is the daughter of the boss of the Volkov Bratva. She is somewhat aware of what her father is, but she just wants to be free. She goes to college and tries to be normal (whatever that is!). But, she becomes part of the revenge that the Bianci brothers want on her father. She is kidnapped, but she soon realizes that she wants all four of them. But there is still the problem of the war between her father and the Bianci brothers. Soon things come to head, but what is going to happen? Will they get their revenge or will something else occur? This is the third book in the series, but you don't need to read the first two to enjoy this book.

Just when I thought Nicole had written her best book yet, she comes out with another show stopper. I was not expecting FMMM and boy was this so good, I am a speed reader and I hated that I sped right through this story. So the story is about this girl whose father has killed the father of Vito, Mateo, Leo and Dante and they are out for revenge and the stuff they put this poor girl through, she was innocent and yet she enduring the treatment they gave her, but in the end, the story gives this poor girl and yes poor men what they need. I was given an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review and I also buy her books, if you have KU they get them free. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS STORY.

'Broken Sins' is the third book in the 'Volkov Bratva Mafia Series'. I won't leave a synopsis of the book since so many readers before me already did a great job doing that. I will say that Nicole did another outstanding job in writing an amazing mind bending mafia tale. The characters are outstanding without a weak one in the bunch. Malaya is one of the strongest heroines both mentally and physically that I have read in a long while and the Bianci brothers are a force to be reckoned with both inside out of the bedroom. This book will keep you on the edge while you try to untangle the twists and turns. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series. I LOVE Nicole's books !! This was a great story about innocence and torment. She was innocent as her mom wanted her kept out of her dad's mafia business. They were tormented their whole lives. The betrayal was so sad, I mean it's never a good thing but this one really hurt. I don't know what I would've done in their shoes....I mean I know what I say I would do but you never know until you're in the situation. Can one girl be the key to everything ? Can she last through everything they put her through and still want to help ? What will dad do ? I love a bada$$ woman, whether it's smarts, physically or both. HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING ALL THREE BOOKS!!

I received this as an ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Milaya is trying to break away on her own. Four brothers who are out for vengeance for the deaths of there family members. Milaya is taken by the four Bianci brothers, Vito, Mateo, Leo and Dante when their father was gunned down in an attack on the generations long rule of the Italian Mafia. Somewhere from the moment Milaya is kidnapped, the dynamics between the four brothers and their innocent looking captive changes. There are so many twists and turns that when you think you cannot comprehend any more surprises, you are put in the middle of another one. This was a great addition to this series and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series to come out.

10 stars!!! Don’t stop! Just get the book! No need to worry if you like it, you will! From the first to the last, I was so interested to know whats next, how is she going to get out of this! Going to parties can get you into trouble by the closest friend. Betrayed, drunk, being kidnaped by the Italian Mafia Brothers for revenge. In-depth characters details. But the story unfolds and her father, also a Russian Mafia, will fall into the same trap as the Italian Mafia! Not to mention the hot attraction and chemistry between the four handsome enemies! You never go wrong with a Nichole Fox book! Really, just loved this story.
