Utter Mayhem!

Obviously, and sadly, Anger is An Acid concludes the Patience of a Dead Man trilogy for all the Mildred fans out there. If you haven’t read this series yet, what are you waiting for?

Quick summary of what happened to this point:

Book 1: Tim Russell finds himself in a messy divorce where most assets went to his ex and he is looking for an investment property to fix up and make a turnaround on that investment. He falls for Holly, his realtor and purchases an abandoned farm, in

This book hit the world on May 8th, packaged with the type of eye-catching cover I’ve come to expect on a Michael Clark release, as well as a whole lot of anticipation. Thankfully or not, depending on how you look at it, I’ve only been privy to The Patience of a Dead Man trilogy since March. As much as I missed out on the first wave of excitement, each time I finished a book in the series I was able to take solace in the fact that the next one wasn’t far behind.

Well, all good things must come to

The Patience Of A Dead Man series wraps for me at a solid 4.5 Stars. I gave book one 4.5 Stars and it really came down to the the extreme haunting presence of Mildred and the setting( setting, setting, setting ). I gave book two 5 stars. I loved the melding of history, horror fantasy and gothic horror. I loved the way it exploded the basic haunted house theme into this massive tale of mythological proportions. I said that I had never read a 450 page book that fast. This book was much the same, I ...more

We are here, it’s the finale and what a finale it was. The first three quarters creeped me out so much, I read some in the dark in bed because I always have these clever ideas. I proper freaked myself out, imagining Mildred there watching me. Not a nice thought!

It is THE epic showdown. There is a LOT of blood, there are new characters and there are scenes that will chill you to your core. Mildred is a woman you do not want to mess with. She has powers beyond our capability to understand, powers

First, let me say how incredibly bummed I am that this story has come to an end. I could keep reading about Mildred Wells forever! However, Anger is an Acid wrapped this journey up perfectly. I could not have predicted the ending. I tried and I assumed Clark would take it to the opposite extreme.

The final installment starts with Tim Russell learning that Mildred has killed his ex-wife and kidnapped his two daughters. This sets the stage for the rest of the story. As tired as Tim and Holly are f

Review of “Anger is an Acid by Micheal Clark” book 3 in the patience of a dead man trilogy.

I finished it and now I want to cry. Why is it over! The third book in this series was perfect. There was a part in the second book that left me so confused and seemed so far fetched. I couldn’t find the connections but the third book helped to tie up that loose end nicely.

Mildred is madder than hell and is set to make everyone suffer just as much as her. She finds Tim’s weaknesses and pokes at them with

Anger is an Acid is the final conclusion in The Patience of a Dead Man trilogy. What a ride it's been! I read the first two quite recently so I didn't have too long to wait to find out what happens next to Tim, Holly and Mildred.

Anger is an Acid starts exactly where Dead Woman Scorned left off. In Dead Woman Scorned, we meet Andrew Vaughn, and it seemed like an odd tangent. In this book, we learn that he has been volunteered to help Thomas Pike by the ghost of his mother. He later arrives at the

When Mr. Clark reached out to me if I was interested in reading his new book The Patience of a Dead Man. I jumped! It was wonderful and we talked some more, book 2 Dead Woman Scorned came out and I realized this series was brilliant. Anger is Acid book 3 kind of wraps up the series but wait? There may be more..

ANGER IS AN ACID, the third and final book in The PATIENCE OF A DEAD MAN trilogy, delivers a satisfying and surprisingly heartfelt conclusion. No, no, I don’t mean that our dearest revenant has finally developed a nice streak (she hasn’t, she’s just as ill-tempered and fly-infested as ever), I just mean heartfelt in the way that so many things end in this f

Another 5 stars in a series that has proved to be one of my overall favorite reads of 2020.

In book 3, we essentially pick up where we had left off in Dead Woman Scorned. By now, we know what makes Mildred tick, so to speak. And we also know why the actions of Tim and Thomas Pike have led us to this inevitable showdown.

Prior to reading this, I had no idea of the significance of the title, but by the end I was deeply impressed and making that "O" shape with my mouth. I loved how this trilogy con

More please!!

I loved the stories. The end is my absolute favorite and I am just hoping for more. The growth in Mildred from book to book is incredible and Andrew is a great add in the second book rolling over as my favorite in book three. Such a fun read, I couldn’t wait to finish and so sad it is over.

This final book in the Patience of a Dead Man trilogy picks up exactly where the second book ended, throwing us right back into the fire of Mildred's rage and final act of revenge.

Abducting Tim's daughters has drawn media and police attention to what was once a barely remembered local name. Tim and Holly are aided by Andrew, who seems to have added assets gifted by his mother from beyond the grave, in their search for Tim's daughters. The story is tense and very fast paced, the ending tying the

The third and final book in the chilling Mildred Wells series sees the revenant attempt to wreak her revenge on those she feels have wronged her. SPOILERS ahead if you have not read the previous two books!

We jump right in where we left off in Dead Woman Scorned. Mildred Wells has decided to murder Tim’s ex-wife and kidnap his daughters. She has always wanted a daughter and is trying to make them hers.

Tim and Holly have help from Andrew Vaughn, a young man haunted by Thomas Pike. But no matter what they try to do to stop Mildred, she is always one step ahead of them. She is very powerful and filled with anger and she intent on tormenting Tim and Holley before she finishes them off.

Having already reviewed The Patience of a Dead Man and Dead Woman Scorned, I was very interested to see how Tim, Holly and Mildred’s story ended in Anger is an Acid.

While book one slowly increases the tension with spooky occurrences that build up to a hair-raising crescendo, and book two goes into detail about Mildred’s backstory and movements with the odd murder, book three is all action. Mildred isn’t messing about: the occupants of the house on Lancaster Hill Road are frequently threatened wi

This book was so hard to put down that I read it in a day.

Mildred Wells is not going to stop until she makes Tim and Holly pay for helping Thomas Pike trick her.

Her anger and vengeance keeps pushing her on and bodies are dropping left and right. To make matters worse, she takes Tim's daughters.

Night after night she torments Tim and Holly. Everything they do try to stop her goes wrong.

With some new help from a young man named Andrew, who has torment of his own going on, Tim and Holly hope to sto

I have to be honest tho, I didn't like it 'till I was at the very end. I'm not really sure what I was expecting but I was kinda bored throughout the book. don't get me wrong, I still loved the book and the story and how it was going on but it was mildly annoying in some parts.
at the end of the second book I was thinking some things and wondering what I will read in the third book. I was expecting something and something happened.

Anger is Acid sends the trilogy off with a bang. I had high hopes for this final installment and I wasn't disappointed. Tim and Holly are back, but this time Mildred has made things much more personal, bringing Tim's kids into it, and killing his ex-wife. The pacing is quick, but really why would you want to put this down once you start? After three books I feel like I know Tim, Holly, and Mildred, and while I'm sorry to leave them behind (OK maybe not Mildred she scares me), this is one of thos ...more

Anger is an Acid picked right up where we left off with Mildred, bent on revenge and making Tim feel her pain and loss. She does this by snatching his daughters and its a race to try to save them from this psychopathic entity who is a danger to everyone around her.

With the help of some unsuspecting characters we go on one final battle against Mildred and her rage that is more than this world can handle. Michael Clark has done a great job over the course of this series of letting us get to know

Anger is an Acid is book three in The Patience of a Dead Man series. It is a must that you read this series in order. I’m finding it hard to review this without giving spoilers on this story and the series. Did the author save the best til last? This is my favourite story in the series.

We get more of the characters we met and loved in the previous books as well as get introduced to new characters. Mildred is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Brilliant series that I’m sad that has ended. I’

I rated the previous two books as 5 stars and the reason for dropping a star for the final book is the beginning. The start of this book wasn't as captivating as the first two were. However, I loved every bit of it after the beginning. Mildred is such a captivating character and I can't put into words how bad I feel for Tim and Holly. They have the worst of luck. But luckily they had more help in this book. ...more
