I don't do well with emotions and yucky love stuff. I do the best I can, but at the end of the day, I'm better at showing someone I love them by fighting for them. That's the way I've always been and how I'll always be. And I have one helluva fight ahead of me. I'll do anything for the people I love, but what I didn't expect was to be fighting the one person I thoug

Classic Reed Security with drama, humor and terrific people!

This book was another great Reed Security story. I really enjoyed the drama and the the romance. This book was about Alec and Florrie who have been on the same Reed Security team for a while. There was a previous book about their early relationship, Alec (Reed Security, #17). I haven’t yet read that book but can’t wait to find out more. I plan on reading all the books I missed since I started at book 21. These two have quite the steamy

So I have to say that I love this author and writing style. A one clic or me no matter what the blurb or storyline is, I’ve always enjoyed whatever it was.
This one with the cheating though, was too much for me. Knowing how much he put up with Florrie, and how much he loved her and the fact that he purposely went back to the bar for Amanda and had unprotected sex. Just no.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I am so happy to have found this author and she does not disappoint. With this book, she has once again delivered an emotionally packed storyline with characters that take one’s breath away as real-life situations bleed onto the pages. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series from the beginning so you meet the characters and see how the dynamics play out between the different people. Florrie and Alec are not only team members, but they are engaged to be married and even though Reid isn’t theirs by blood he completes their family. When they face the possibility of losing Reid their very different reactions set off a chain of events that leaves them both devastated.

Suddenly two people who are planning a future together can’t face each other in the present. Hearts are broken, mistakes are made and it may just take the entire team at Reed Security if they are going to find their

What a ride Nightingale was! Giulia Lagomarsino really upped their emotions with Florrie and Alec’s story.

Alec and Florrie were an emotional mess. Alec was the man who just wanted to love her, and Florrie was the woman who didn’t know how to be loved. And this was the root of all their problem.

Reid was the sad, broken boy who came to live with them . Florrie was told she would never have children and Reid was hers until one day he wasn’t. The downward spiral started when Reid’s ain’t and uncle w

Nightingale is book #24 this isnt a stand alone.
To understand nightingale you will need to read Alec.
This was difficult to read. Florrie and Alec receive some bad news about their temporary custody of Reid.
Florrie more or less caused a major rift
Between all the Reed security guys.

Alec and Florrie have finally admitted they're a couple, gotten engaged, and are happy. Then something happens that has the potential to tear them apart. Will they ever be on the same page or will their differing opinions drive a permanent wedge between this not so easy couple?

Wow, this one is intense. I gotta admit right off the bat that I was not happy with Florrie. She was selfish, cruel and so in her head she couldn't see beyond her own nose. Alec made mistakes, too, though, an

Holy Cow!! I won’t say that both of them made me angry, but boy Nightingale sure did.

Florrie is a team member of Reed Security. She is tough, strong, and independent. She’s also selfish, bullheaded, and single minded, in my opinion. She and her teammate Alec hid their relationship for three years before they made it official and let the rest of Reed Security know that they were a couple. Of course, Craig, their other team member figured it out sooner than the rest, by pure coincidence.

Nightingale is the latest entry in the Reed Security Series. This one was a hard read. In her preface, the author mentions that you will either come down on Team Alec or Team Florrie, which is very accurate. The meaning of family, the baggage we carry into our relationships, how we handle conflict, and hurt are all dealt with in the book.

Alec and Florrie have custody of Reid, who is the victim of child abuse by a very prominent step-father. He's fearful, he doesn't trust, and he's deep into adol

Wow, this was another fantastic and emotional read. Alec and Florrie feel like they are complete since they rescued Reid from the streets and have temporary custody of the 14 yr old teen. Then everything comes crashing down when relatives from Utah claim to be his aunt and uncle and want him to live with them. Florrie is suspicious of them and wary but Alec investigates them and thinks they are good people and sincere. When the Judge rules in the aunt and uncle’s favor Florrie is devastated and ...more

Florrie is a member of Reed Security Team 5. She's strong, independent, as tough as any of the men, and not a girly-girl. Alex is the Team 5 leader, and he's strong and protective, and Florrie is his weakness. They have temporary custody of Reid, a kid they found on the street who had a horribly abusive living situation with his stepfather. When his birth father's sister steps forward to ask for custody, it threatens the unconventional family that they've formed, and very nearly destroys Florrie ...more

I honestly had no idea what was going to happen when I started reading this book, and to say that I was blown away is putting it mildly.

Florrie and Alec have been characters that I never really took the time to warm up to. I liked the interactions that they had with the other characters, but nothing really made them stand out. Until I started reading this book, then nothing could make me put it down.

Seeing the struggle that both of them went through in fighting for Reid made me cry like a baby.

At first I wasnt sure who to side with, Alec was like a love sick puppy and Florrie was so aggressive towards Alec. They have custody of Reid and Reid has family that want him back, Florrie doesn't want to let him go, Alec only wants what's best for Reid, despite what it will do to his and Florries relationship. This causes all sorts of problems including half of Reed security siding with Florrie.
After many arguments Alec meets a woman in a bar and tells her that he has split from Florrie, they

At the beginning of Nightingale, Giulia Lagomarsino stated that we would have to make the choice of #TEAMFLORRIE or #TEAMALEC, and I will state that I'm 100% #TEAMFLORRIE since Alec made the absolutely worst mistake out of the two of them, which turned me away from him from that moment on, and frankly, I never forgave him. I also got seriously pissed off at all those who tried to convince Florrie was the one who drove him to it (shaming the female for the male's super piss poor decisions is a co ...more

Here we have Reid their fourteen year old foster son in the mix.

When he came to luve with Alec and Florrie the couples life seem to fall into place, children was wanted but Florrie is unable to conceive, so even though Reid is older he is loved and wanted, s

This series doesn’t get old!
Nightingale is a continuation of Alec and Florries relationship from book 17 Alec.
I really don’t want to spoil the story, but it’s truly an emotional one.
After florries miscarriage and being told she can no longer have children in Alec, we find Alec and her happy, having become guardians to Reid a 14yr old boy, sadly their new family, and their Reed Security family is about to be split in two with consequences for all envolved.

Part of the massive Reed Security series, this is about teammates Alec & Florrie. We've met them before, and they've been outed as a couple & have custody of young Reid. I liked that we learned about Alec's history, which explains his own experiences, similar to Reid. Alec has already learned that his life is less rich without Florrie in it. I’m quite conflicted by this story. It's like I can see both sides of Alec & Florrie's issues-there are no sides to take, and I was cheering for them as a c ...more

At the very beginning of the book, Giulia Lagomarsino let it be known each reader would need to decide if they were on one side or the other. In my mind, I thought, "Well, don't we do that anyway?" And then I read "Nightingale". There is no way to stay impartial! Ms. Lagomarsino has pulled out all the stops in this storyline and we have pure unadulterated emotion that follows all the twists and turns within the secrets, intrigue, and angst. Of course, we still get all the nosey members of Reed ...more

I have become such a fan of this author. I have read so many of her books and always enjoy them. This was a captivating read. This story is about Florrie and Alec. They suffer from their past. Florrie’s self esteem took a hit and she believed she wasn’t loveable while Alec took the challenge always trying to show her she was. The couple seemed to have to live through one hot after another, first Florrie found she was unable to have children, but then they found a boy, Reid and planned to adopt h ...more

Florrie and Alec were never a typical couple. A miscarriage that blew out a Fallopian tube a few years ago led to the discovery of her endometriosis, and a diagnosis that she was unlikely to ever carry a pregnancy to term

Their later rescue and subsequent guardianship of Reid seemed to make their nuclear family whole. The discovery of blood relations from his birth father leads to a great deal of division, heartbreak and loss - along with a great deal of blame and anger. The possible options open

Once again another fantastic story from this arthur about the boy's of Reed Security and the women who love them. This story however was a little different than the rest and will pull your heart strings a lil more and you'll have to figure out which team you would choose.

Nightingale is the twenty-fourth book in A Reed Security Romance series and the story is about Alec and Florrie who are both part of Reed Security. They became a couple in the seventeenth book, Alec. This story is about how they each approach and deal with a serious situation as a couple. Florrie and Alec have always been challenged, Florrie never thinking she could be loved, Alec proving that she could. Florrie unable to have children, then they find Reid and set in plans to adopt him. They are finally going to get married, until Reid’s Aunt and Uncle show up.
Alec and Florrie’s reactions on how to handle it are extremely different to each other’s. Reed Security has always been a team, always supporting each other, even if sometimes it doesn’t work the way they planned. But Alec

I LOVE this series by Giulia Lagomarsino and can't believe that I have not checked it out before now. Nightingale is Florrie and Alec's story and boy these two are both in the wrong. Readers will either be Team Florrie or Team Alec, though I am not on either team's sides because they are both in the wrong, but you are able to justify their actions.

All in all, this book is deeply emotional and is not an easy read. Both characters make heartbreaking mistakes, but just shows how real the characters

I'm a stay at home mom with a love for romance novels. There's nothing better than reading about a hot, alpha male that makes my heart swoon. I spend most days hanging out with my kids or writing about my next book boyfriend. I love crocheting, sewing, reading, and being outdoors, but in the end, there is nothing better than getting lost in a good book!
