Remi Tanner was only supposed to be a pawn in my game. But I screwed up. I broke her. And now I have to find a way to fix it.

I want her.
I need her.
In the end, I’ll prove she’s the only thing that matters.

Ace Jagger wasn’t supposed to imprint himself on my heart. But he did, before he tore it from my chest and hurt me in the worst possible way.

He’s possessive.
Dangerous.
In the end, I’m not sure I can resist.

He might be the bad boy with no conscience, and I might the girl with nothing left to lose, but one thing’s for sure... He won’t stop until gets what he wants.

Me.

Tame Him is the second book in the Rebels at Sterling Prep series. It is a dark high school bully romance. If possessive, tattooed, motorcycle-riding alphaholes aren't your thing, you probably won't like this book!

(just a warning, this review contains spoilers for the previous book)

The truth is that I enjoyed this book a lot for the most part but a had a HUGE problem with one thing in its plot.

It's obvious that Ace and Remi have chemistry there's no doubt about that but, let's face it, they were a bit toxic together. Even Ace thought that:

"[...] the way I feel about you isn't healthy."

The thing is, as I said in my review for Taunt Her, I loved that Remi had a backbone and that's what saved the day for me. Even though she loved Ace she didn't immediately go back to him. She made him to tell her everything and she forced her rules. It's just thing about fiesty and independent heroines that I love...
Ace has to realize I don’t need saving. I don’t want a bodyguard to fight my battles. I want a partner. An equal. I want someone to stand at my side and fight with me.

Yes girl!!! 💪🏻

Ace tried to make everything right for her, he even found a new job to make money (thankfully, legally this time...) and he regretted what he did even though it was not entirely his fault that eveyone saw that video (well, it was his fault to take that video in the first place but I'll talk about that later...). I liked that he tried to change, not because Remi wanted that for him but because he wanted to be a better man.

Let me talk about the plot now (it could contain spoilers). The whole thing about the revelation of who is Ace's father didn't impress me, like at all. I thought it was totally obvious who their father was after reading the first book. Was that supposed to be a plot twist? Am I the only one who guessed that? Although, I must say that I didn't expect the plot twist in the end so that's a plus.

Having said all these, you'd expect me to give this book a higher rating and I totally would because for the most part this was a 4-star read for me (it could have been even a 5-star if there wasn't that non-plot twist). The thing that made me lower my rating is the way Ace decided to take revenge for what Michaela did to Remi.

I'm really interested in reading Cole's story (and Conner's of course but I have a feeling that I'm going to fall too hard for Cole) but I'm going to wait for a little bit more.

Just a note, if you want to read the scene from the night in the pool house from Hadley’s pov there's a link at the end of this book's epilogue (warning, it's 🔥).

(random quote I loved and wanted to share with you)

"Family can be hard. But at the end of the day, they’ll be the ones who are there in your darkest hour. Trust that they’re doing the right thing, whatever it may be.”

' Tame him' is the second book of the ' Rebels at Sterling Prep' series by Caitlyn Dare. Told in dual perspectives , this is the conclusion of Ace and Remi's story!

This book was everything I expected and so much more! From the moment I read the first book of this series , and that amazing cliffhanger, this book had been one of most anticipated books! Remi and Ace have a special place in my heart now, and even though their story has come to an end , I still want to see much more of them in the future!

Ace was an asshole to Remi in the whole first book , but man he really took the cake at the end of that book. Now Remi is broken and he realises his mistakes a little too late. I just hoped that he pulled his head out of his ass and got Remi to forgive him. The storyline of this book was pretty good and I absolutely loved the ending! I can't wait for the best set of books in this series!! A definite recommendation to all the Bully Romance lovers out there!

I was chomping at the bit for the book after that hell of a cliffhanger in book one. So glad it was basically a back to back release. Ace and Remi are in for a hell of a time in this book. Remi and Ace always deliver some good steam and Remi did a 180 in this book to try and prove himself worthy of Remi.

I did wish she made him grovel a bit more she forgave him really quickly for his offense. There is also an event that happens in this book to Remis step-sister that I had issues with because it was a bit too slut-shaming and women against women isn’t my thing and it smacked a little too close to that for my tastes. Ace is a dichotomy of just idiot decisions and the genuine desire to just do right by Remi. But man did I want to punch his face in when he did that.

I loved how fierce Remi always is in defense of Ace. She’s just a force to be reckoned with when someone impugns his character. I liked the ending and it definitely fit in with the way the series is heading and I am curious for the brothers stories. I have a feeling that the series is going to just get better from here.

Actual rating would be a 3.5 ⭐️

So book one shook me up with all the feels and hot sex scenes and book two knocked me down!
In a great way.

These characters...och man they’re feckin’ mint!
I can quite honestly say that this book got right under my skin in the most deliciously painful way, lol.

ACE
So many surprises and an awesome twist that I just not see coming!
I had no idea how things would play out after what happened at the end of Taunt Her and ma wee heart was pounding over every word.
He is so...typically male at times, lol.

He figures he can tell Remi to just ‘trust him’ and that she’ll be all like “Okay Ace, sure. I can do that”.

Dudes!

Give your head a shake!
No matter how much she loves you if you tell her to just ‘trust you’ and then disappear and rumours start flying about what you’ve done?
Shit is gonna hit the fan.
So yeah, he makes a few errors and we can only hope he learns from them because things get fucked up.
But when the truth of his shadowy past catches up with him, you can’t help but love him.
Damn it! I’m a cougar!
Meh, I don’t care...much, lol.

REMI
I feel so bad for this girl.
Nothing goes right for her. Like, ever.
And you know what? I hate her step-sister with an intense passion.
And her dad.
And Bexley.
Grr!

But she finds the strength inside to fight back and hold her head up high.
Even when she’s trembling inside.
She’s utterly heartbroken at what happened on her birthday and she feels betrayed (quite rightly so) so when Ace comes to her to try to set things right, she’s hesitant...but also horny.
I love Remi and will always be in her corner cheering her on because in this book...she needs it peeps :-(

SEX SCENES
I was reading this one-handed, ye ken?
“Fuck, Remi... fuck,” he breathes, as I slide his cock over my clit, teasing us both. “You’re going to be the death of me, baby.” Ace grabs my hands and pins them above my head before driving into me in one smooth glide. We both cry out as he stretches me. “Jesus,” he chokes out. “It feels... God...” My legs anchor around his hips, urging him to move, and he does. Strong, powerful strokes that I feel all the way down to the tips of my toes. Ace curves his hand around my throat, pinning me to the mattress. He’s everywhere. His tongue pushed deep in my mouth, his big body pressed up against me as he grinds into me, filling me with every thrust. My hands fight against his hold, desperate to touch him, to feel his muscles ripple beneath my fingers, but it only makes him go harder. Faster. Until I can barely breathe and my vision starts to blur. He isn’t making love to me. He isn’t fucking me. He’s branding himself on my soul, carving his name permanently on my heart. “Ace, it’s too much,” I whimper, completely overwhelmed by the sensations he’s unleashing on me. “Ssh, baby.” His mouth is at my ear, his words a hot growl. “I’ve got you.” He releases my hands, letting me grip his shoulders as he begins to ride me slower, deeper, until I don’t know where I end and he begins. My legs fall to the mattress, letting his pelvis bump against my clit, sending bursts of pleasure racking through me. “You feel so fucking good.” He murmurs the words, painting them onto my lips with his tongue. Our kisses grow frenzied. Hot, wet, dirty kisses as we both race toward the edge. “You ready to come for me, Princess?” I mewl some inaudible reply, my heart hammering inside my chest as Ace hooks his arm underneath my thigh and grinds into me at a new angle. “Fuck... Fuck...” I chant like a girl possessed, a girl ready to sacrifice herself for the cause. “I’m close,” he rasps, “I’m so fucking close.” Without warning, Ace pinches my clit hard and my orgasm hits, my pussy convulsing around him as he continues to pump inside me.

FINAL THOUGHTS on TAME HIM by Caitlyn Dare
I loved Ace and Remi’s story but...I’m extremely interested in Cole and Hadley.
I need to get in his bed - I mean head! Honestly!
I am so glad to have found a new author that can make me feel this way with her words and I can not wait until the next book comes out for Cole and Hadley.

I was really excited for this release because I enjoyed the first book so much. Unfortunately this book was a major disappointment for me and I couldn't even force myself to fully finish it which doesn't happen often. DNF at 50%.

So after the cliffhanger from the first book I was expecting that Ace was finally the one that had to fight for their relationship and I was particularly excited for that part - to see him really work his ass off to get Remi back and her being strong and not giving in so fast. Well.. when they meet up for the second time after the accident, after having two super short talks, Remi forgives him right away and wants to have sex with him that same night. Girl, do you have no selfrespect whatsoever? What a huge disappointment! Her inner monologue to explain her lack of a backbone goes like this "I know no one will understand why I've forgiven him so easily, but sometimes love makes no sense. It doesn't come with a set of predefined rules or a playbook. It's messy and raw and chaotic." etc.. Seriously?! I don't even have words. So this is the major reason why this book didn't work for me and at that point I had to force myself to keep reading (and this is only at the ~30% mark of the book ladies and gentlemen).

Another thing that bothered me with this situation was that she forgave Ace within 3 seconds but hates Bexley because of what happened and thinks the whole accident is pretty much only his fault anyway. Uhm.. if I remember correctly Bexley wanted to punch Ace because he heard the video playing and was basically offened by it on her behalf. And then she stepped between them to save Ace. So clearly the fact that he punched her instead was not intened on his part?? Make it make sense. But anyway.. that's just a side note.

In the first book we learn that Ace's father isn't his real father apparently. When I read that, I already knew what the "major twist/secret" is going to be.. and of course that is exactly what is revealed in the middle of this book. It was very predictable and not surprising at all.. At that point I couldn't keep going and gave up.

I will say I generally like the author's writing style and rated the first book 4 stars so I would probably pick up another book by her in the future and give it a try. Sadly this one just wasn't for me.

Holy smokes! What a freaking rollercoaster ride this second book was! Nonstop action and romance from page 1. I just can’t believe it took me this long to read any of Caitlyn Dare’s books. Can I say how excited and happy this second book made me! And I hear there’s a 3rd book coming out this year? I’m so giddy right now.

This book I am definitely giving 5 stars! It was just so good from the very beginning. They all say that second books don’t compare to the first book, but I genuinely preferred the second book to the first in this series. We get to see a whole new and much gentler side to Ace and he shows how much he loves Remi. I could not put this book down. I didn’t want it to end at all. I’m so sad it ended but I’m happy with their HEA though.

This is a must read Bully romance.

Thank you to the author for this e-arc sent to me for my honest opinion.

FOR-A-FULL-REVIEW-VISIT

MY RATING: 3*
TITLE: Tame Him
AUTHOR: Caitlyn Dare
SERIES: Rebel At Sterling Prep #2
RELEASE DATE: 27 August 2020
CLIFFHANGER: No

ARC was kindly provided for an honest review

So, we basically pick up where we left off with book one. As I said in the review of that book, Ace is set for revenge, but the plan blows up in his face. When Remi wakes up in hospital, Ace can’t bring himself to face his uncle so hides out while sneaking in to check on Remi.

Ace finally concedes that what he feels for Remi is a lot like love. He wants his girl back, but he knows he fucked up royally…so first step is to get back in her good books.

Listen I’m not one to judge but what Ace did was really fucked up. And of course Remi swears up and down how she’s done with him blah blah blah. But as soon as she gets home, and he touches her, all that shit goes out the window

description
After a stunt like that I expected some serious grovelling. I get it. She loves him blah blah blah but fuck me. He did not even try very hard and she was begging him to hump her

description

I mean she showed more resistance with the Ace and Michaela misunderstanding. I would have thought the video was a much bigger crime…but hey, what do I know?

description

Anyway, they move on and somehow, they decide that Michaela was responsible for leaking the video. I wish that would have been fleshed out a bit. While their suspicions may have been accurate, they could have done more to confirm them. Nonetheless, Ace is out for revenge and once again has a plan up his sleeve (we know how well that turned out last time).

description
Anyway, when Ace’s parents secret is finally revealed and who James really is, I did not see that coming. And Ace showed some maturity this time and handled it a bit better. Cole however didn’t.

This was a perfect conclusion to Ace and Remi’s story. This time Ace was a bit softer. His determination to win and keep Remi caused him to act like his got some sense. I still wish the characters “lived” with each other more. Their relationships were parallel. Ace and Remi, occasionally Conner featured. Cole may as well have not been there. He said about 4 line the whole book. Sarah and James again were independent off their children, Sarah and Remi, etc. there wasn’t much cohesion between the characters.

Again, what is it about the Jagger men thinking its smart to use Remi to get revenge on James? I do not understand what Charlie was trying to achieve. He just came out of nowhere. Just like Remi’s dad. He came and went as quickly as he came. Also, what the hell does James do? If Bexley’s parents are supposed to be super rich and powerful, how much juice does James really have to get them to pack their son up and move him away? I still feel like the supporting characters are not well developed. We don’t know what James or Sarah do for a living. Perhaps it’s because the brothers will have their own books, but I really hope in the next books they come together a bit more. But

description

Nonetheless, I can’t wait for Hadley and Cole’s story.

Such a fantastic read! The title really represents the book ♡

"I know no one will understand why I’ve forgiven him so easily, but sometimes love makes no sense. It doesn’t come with a set of predefined rules or a playbook. It’s messy and raw and chaotic.
Love is about finding light in the darkness, those little slices of quiet in the noise."

"Ace Jagger might be everything I shouldn’t want, but he’s everything I never knew I needed.
He might be cold but his touch burns.
He might be cruel but his kiss is sweet."

FIVE TAMING STARS

“ Ace always held the power, and i was fine with that. In some ways, i needed it. Buti hold the cards now. Ace is at my mercy and i want to toy with him a little longer “

Yes Remi grab him by the balls. Remi held her own in this book, especially after what happened what the end off the first book. This book is the aftermath and I’m really glad Remi stood up for herself. The title “Tame Him” was correct. That’s exactly what she did.
Ace betrayed Remi, hurt her. All for revenge.

“ Ace didn’t just hurt me the night of my birthday. He destroyed a tony part of my soil, he tool something that was supposed to be special and turned it into something ugly. I’m not sure I’ll ever get over that “

Remi changed his heart and ace wants her, wants to make it up to her. But will she forgive him? Or will more drama, danger come knocking on the door?

“ Ace isn’t the hero here. He’s the villain. And everyone know she the villain never saves the day “

“ Ace is my weakness. He’ll always be my weakness because i so desperately wanted him to be my saviour “

I was so angry and sad for Remi in the first book. My heart broke for her and what she had been through. Past and present. But she had some balls of steel and really shined throughout this book. She gave it all back. All the pain, anger she gave it right back and grew from it all. She is the definition of sweet, caring but not so innocent anymore.

“ Remi thinks she’s warning me off by telling me that we’re done, but I don’t think she realizes that all she’s doing is setting up the ultimate challenge. She’s thinks were over. I’m about to prove her otherwise “

Ace Jagger had some amazing character growth in this story. It was magical to see especially from the first. This author did a great job at his character. The love he had for Remi went so deep and I’m so glad he finally realised that and grew a pair of balls.

This story in my opinion was so much better then the first one. Even though i loved the first one. These stories interlock and grow with each other. There is secrets, mystery and so much drama in this series and i can’t wait for what’s coming next.

“ Cole’s angry. Really fucking angry. And when Cole is angry, shit gets fucked up. He’s not like me or Conner. He doesn’t go flying into a situation all guns blazing. He sits back. He plans and nobody sees him coming. Cold, detached and fucking unnerving. “

I’m so excited for Cole’s book thats coming next. I have loved him from the start. He’s definitely my favourite out of the brothers. I also love that his love interest is Hadley ( Remi’s bestfriend ) i loved her. Her and Remi stuck together. They felt like outcasts. I loved their relationship and i loved Hadleys personality so I can’t wait to see how Cole and her mix.

“ That’s the thing Hads, Love makes you crazy “

There’s so many scenes where the hero lied to the heroine and this book unfortunately is also a headache😂😂😂 Like seriously the author doesn’t even pay attention or something? Cause when the hero lied to the heroine, I was like seriously? He is lying for sure and why did that actually have to happen? 😂

DARK ROMANCE HIGH SCHOOL HOT ROMANCE STORY. Yep its dark.

I don’t know about safe because there’s so many scenes that is not safe🥵

The story begins with the hero and his twin brothers are living in a crap trailer place and his uncle’s driver pick them up and take them to their new house. These brothers have not a easy or loving environment growing up because of their parents so it was hard for them to accept their new house and luxurious. “I want my old life. My shitty trailer. My state school and dead end opportunities.” Also the uncle of them invited them so suddenly and these brothers are young like 18 and 17 years old thats why they can’t process that new big change so fast like what the uncle wanted them to be. The brothers have good relationships with each other because they have a hard life before and they went through everything together. The uncle have been absent for a very long time so it was also hard for them to really like the uncle because he really abandoned them in that place when he have to do it sooner. And after they just arrived for couple of hours, the uncle announced so easily that his girlfriend and her daughter is coming by to have dinner together and welcomed the boys. The heroine is the daughter of his uncle’s girlfriend. THE HERO immediately wants the heroine after he first saw her just across the living room. “The brunette however, captures my imagination quite nicely.” Like he really really wants her. It was hot and romantic actually when I read it. Because when they met for the first time, the heroine have to sit in next to the hero and he was touching her thigh quite some time “my body tense when his hand lands on my thigh. Hard. Possessive. As if I’m a piece of property he just claimed.” and even follow her to the restroom to see her like she’s the main meal. He even went closer to her side and say “you smell so fcking good.” 🤣 He then follows her to the restroom only talking a bit and they see each other again at a party. Before going to the party, the hero goes to his friends near by and talk to them. One of his regular hookup starts to touch him inappropriate but he stops her immediately before she goes too far. His reason is “her lifeless blonde hair is doing nothing for me right now. I’ve got my sights set on a certain brunette.” Which is good when I read it because without him realizing, he starts to feel something for the heroine. Because this hero is really a nutcase, so cold and so childish and problematic child and so insecure. After that, the hero goes to the party, A party that the hero just crash because he thinks its cool to show off to his new soon school mates that he is the sh*t now and no one mess with him. Very arrogant hero. He didn’t expect to see the heroine at the party but he did see her and he went for her. He went for her so fast because he saw a guy put his hands on the heroine and he was jealous and that was the first jealous scene from the hero. The hero even talk to himself that “she belongs to me now, and no one touches whats mine.” After the party, they see each other again at school. It was the hero and his brothers first day of the new private school. Uniform and sh*t lol. Surprisingly, the heroine and hero is in the same class together. When the hero first came in and sit beside her, some girls says to him “you can sit next to me.” But he doesn’t acknowledge her ever. He’s main focus is the heroine. There’s also a girl try to invite the hero to go to the beach but he decline. He even ask if the heroine will be there as well and when the girl say no, then he say of course no. Then he stare at the heroine most of the time at class and even when the teacher warn him not to, he replies saying “but she smells so fcking good”. After class they part ways and the hero tries to see his new school by sitting somewhere. A certain blonde girl also sit to the hero’s lap because she thinks his new at the school and he is hot, but the hero immediately lift her from his lap and said not interested. Cool move. The next day, the hero and his brothers are having breakfast together with the heroine because the heroine’s mom said it will be great. When the twins are eating, the hero went to the restroom and the heroine went to her room. She saw the hero sits on her bed and after talking a bit, the hero kissed her hard. That was so hot though😀 the hero did not wait any second for that😂 which is nice to me. The hero have many more than he can count offers of rich sl*t who attend the school to have it with him, but he say no. “But one look at Remi (the heroine), the day we moved here, and I knew no one else could come close to giving me what I needed.” Not only the hero is very possessive towards the heroine, but he became very obsessed with her as well… “every motherfcker in this place needs to know she’s mine, because no one dares put their hands on anything that belongs to me.” YEP THAT WAS THEIR FIRST MEETING FIASCO. Actually It was romantic and hot 😝

Then it was a hot mess…. Then it was too fcking annoying… well at least for me.

WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK(sorry but i just have to say it):

1. The hero is so freakin childish. I get it, he been through a lot of bad things in his life that made him the way he is. But seriously, harming the heroine when she have nothing to do with your life situation doesn’t gonna give you solutions. The hero always made the heroine confused about her feelings and always pushing her away too many freakin times. So super annoying.
2. THE HERO FREAKIN LIES. Not all the time though but he lies. Lies in front of the readers that reading it😂 he lies to the heroine of not touching the other woman when he did!!!!!! He said to himself that he was faking it but you did anyway. He touch her thigh up to her ass cheek and he let her touch his chest and face too. But what did he tell the heroine? “I haven’t touched that poisonous btch.” He also say it again “i never touched her, and i certainly didn’t let her touch me. It was all a ruse to get her talking.” BULLSHIT. Why you even lie? Damn when I read that i was so annoyed af because seriously? Wtf.
3. THE HEROINE IS TOO FREAKIN WEAK TO STAND UP FOR HERSELF AGAINST THE HERO AND TO ANYONE WHO BULLIES HER. LIKE WTF. HAVE A FREAKIN BACKBONE! FIGHT THEM. FIGHT THE HERO. But nooooo…. Even when the hero makes huge mistakes that is sooo out of line, what did the heroine do? The heroine give him a chance again and again. After the hero kissed her, she just melts away without even talk about it. When the bullies say bad things to her quite some times, what she do? She runs away, she said not worth it, she cried and hide. Like wtf??!
4. Her mom oh my g. Her mom is annoying af. She knew the stories about the heroine and her bullies at school, she invites the bullies to her daughter’s birthday thinking its the right thing to do. Like wtf? Her mom always defends her bullies even when the heroine told the stories about them. She even defends the worst enemy of the heroine like so much. WHAT THE ACTUAL FCK IS THAT.
5. When the hero starts to feel something for the heroine, he got scared and insecure and start a plan. A plan to destroy the heroine, so that his uncle will be destroyed too because the heroine was the uncle’s girlfriend’s daughter. He was mad at his uncle because his uncle abandon he and his twin brothers for quite some time when they needed help. Like seriously? Putting the heroine to your family matters revenge is not cool at all especially when she have nothing to do with it. He destroyed her by touching some woman in front of her, not too far though but there’s was a touch alright. Then he search for her again when he misses her, she accept him so easily. No punishment. Wtf. So weak heroine. I’m so disappointed on the heroine.
6. When the hero makes mistakes like a huge mistakes, he ask the heroine so easily, “can I see you tonight?” 😂 like so easily….
7. The hero push the heroine many times and its freakin annoying.
8. When the heroine give the hero her virginity, he hurt her the damn second he slipped out of her. So not cool. Hurt her by words. He doesn’t even appreciate that she is giving him that to her.
9. The hero flims the other woman naked to get revenge because the other woman was the heroine’s biggest enemy. The other woman was wasted and naked in bed and the hero plays her like that. The heroine understands and okay with it. Wtf? I know he doesn’t even have s*x with the other woman but by just okay with it and no argument seriously? What he did was wrong. He shouldn’t even see that other woman naked when he always says to himself and everyone and to the heroine that he is obsessed and in love with the heroine. What he did was wrong. So wrong.
10. The hero is so freakin selfish. He demands the heroine told him sooner about somethings when other times, he doesn’t even tell her things and when she find out, she didn’t even get mad either. So yeah i guess both are wrong and stupid too.
11. Their chemistry is good but for me is not healthy because of how the hero lies and childish and the heroine is weak and stupid sometimes lol.

Mostly out of all, I hate when the hero lies to the heroine about the other woman. He did touch the other woman but he claims he doesn’t when he does. Motherfcker.

It made me think that in the future when the hero do something like that again, he will lie again and doesn’t be honest to the heroine.

This book gave me a headache. The drama was too childish and because of that, it made the romance so annoying to read. Like i get the feeling this not a love story but just a stupid story. Lol.

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Killing, drugs, bad parents, addiction, violence, almost r*pe, hospital and alcohol.

‼️‼️‼️The heroine is a beautiful weak virgin, the hero is ott possessive protective stupid childish alpha male, the hero is not a virgin and use to be a manwhor* in the old days when he was living at the trailer, love in first sight, many jealous scenes from both, many drama with OW AND OM and other drama is about their family and themself, the heroine and hero is at the same age 18 years old, very hot smut scenes, yes they did talk about past partner well mostly the hero did but not too much. Location? I forgot where but they always goes to the beach though. Hope that helps lol. The hero did protect the heroine but physically, not emotionally and not mentally. Just physically. It has separation but not sure for how long, both are loyal but because the hero is sh*t i can’t say more good about him lol.

Happy ending? No. Just both are starting to living together in a huge house. Double the annoyance lol.

Do i enjoy the story? Meh.

Its hard to like and enjoy the story when there’s many unnecessary drama that is not healthy and its toxic. I have better other book about high school drama that is safe and romantic, not like this one. This one is mostly them vs each other and not them vs the world.

👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽

I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙

🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️

This book picks up right where that huge cliffhanger left us in the last book...wondering if Remi will be okay and who the hell played that damn video?! I desperately wanted it to not be Ace. I had my suspicions on who else it could be but like Remi, I wondered if Ace’s need for revenge overshadowed his feelings for Remi. Thankfully Remi is okay after the chaos of her birthday party. She’s super cautious where Ace is concerned. She doesn’t know if she can trust him again after all the shit he put her through.

“Ace isn’t the hero here. He’s the villain. And everyone knows the villain never saves the day.”

Ace knows he screwed up and is determined to get back on Remi’s good side. He will do anything he can to win her back. We get to see a much softer and more vulnerable side of Ace in this book and that was definitely one of my favorite parts. Is he perfect? Nah, he is still an asshole at times but I liked how he willingly put himself out there for the girl he loved. He laid it all on the line even the parts of him he wanted to hide. Every time Remi tried pushing him away, he was there pulling her back in.

“No more hiding. No more regret. No more shame. Our past shapes us, but it doesn’t define us.”

So much happened in this book. There were a ton of twists and turns. As much as the super crazy twist towards the end threw me for a loop, there was just a little too much stuffed in this book for me. I loved the first book so much and had high hopes for this one but honestly parts were super confusing. I loved how much Ace grew as a person. I loved the twins and may have a mild obsession with Cole but to me...Remi was all over the place. I felt like all this horrible stuff happened to her. It went too fast from "I want to hide and be left alone" to "come on over, Ace and hop in bed". There was no middle ground. I loved parts of the book and other parts not at all. I am, however, really, really looking forward to Cole’s story as he definitely became a favorite of mine in this book.

I was curious to see how this one was going to turn out.

I disliked Sarah for just not listening and noticing her daughter more. At the end she did confess she was wrong!
The text I knew didn't ad up.

For me Remi wasn't the strong h they portray her as, at least in my eyes she isn't.

The 'bond' between her and the brothers isn't really there either, which is strange and I kind of miss that.

An excellent conclusion, with enough moving parts to keep me guessing, but not enough to make a giant mess of things. Remi & Ace have a different sort of relationship between the two of them, that made the flow almost seamless.
The only thing I needed to see more of: grovel. I just think it needed more. Other than that, it was excellent. Can’t wait to see what’s coming for these brothers.

Idk how my review got deleted but what ever 😂😂 the book sucked 😏 y’all that are given this 5 stars are full of crap smh lmfao. Get mad 😂🤣🤪

✋ SPOILER!!!!

Didn’t like, dragged!!!

But fast in the forgiveness department and All the parts that would be important 😒.

So it rushed at the end with to many questions to the most important parts to the book.
I mean the dad/ really Aces uncle just committed suicide and found dead 😟 after that big ass revaluation he dropped. Like seriously....he was the guy that molested Remi that her mom dated and was going by a different name!!! And had a knife to her throat reveling to Remi who he really is and reviling who and what he did to Remi to Ace. really that’s how it plays out🙄 please lol ....
yah no😏 then the next day after the revaluation of all that but not before they fuck like rabbits and tell each other they love each other.
But in the same page as them saying the dad/ uncle is dead “were moving in together” and that’s that with them😧 WTAF.... really..really umm ookay.

Oooh and wait she jumps straight to the best friend back to the night of the dance with Conner at the end to give off I’m not done with this group vibe.
Horrible just freakin horrible!!!
I dragged just to get to the end I wanted to just DNF it on more then 1 occasion then I could count. But I keep pushing to give it my honest to god unbiased opinion. But nope I just should’ve stopped. 🤦🏽‍♀️
I’m not going to lie straight up breezed the part with the best friend. Just couldn’t do it anymore.

Arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book OMG, I am completely in love with Caitlyn Dare (who I think this series is her first book?) and her writing. It's so good and I cannot wait to see where she takes it with her other characters later on!

This was such a good way to end Remi and Ace's story I loved every second of reading this book and I was so glad there wasn't too much conflict between the both of them!

I loved being able to see Remi and Ace's expand more and see how much they loved each other throughout this book and how Ace's walls finally began to tumble down. I loved seeing him grow his relationship with James (finally) and his brothers. I'm so glad about the twist that happened, I was so expecting it!

OMG the twist at the end though, those last dramatic scenes were so good and I LOVED them. And then to top it all off we get a glimpse at the next part of the story and it's Cole and Hadley! Yes I'm so excited for that, I've been so intrigued by Cole's character from the beginning and I can't wait to see Hadley explore and learn about Cole more! That ending scene with him, I wanna know how he's going to be able to make it through it!

Just wow, I love Caitlyn Dare's writing - everyone go check out this duet. This book concludes it and comes out August 27th!

Ok. I tried. Man, I hate doing this (actually no I don't. If a book is good it's good. If it's not, it's not) but the writing is even worse than the 1st books, which is seriously saying something.
The author seems to lack even basic knowledge of grammar as the tense switches constantly from present to past. The characters all seem to have the same issues as the first as well. The mystery isn't enough to keep the story going and Ace is such a whiney twat that I just can't. Like seriously, he's trusting the so-called "truth" from a dude who abandoned him and then

Seems like a legit thing for an almost 19-year-old to do. And yes, he is almost 19 because he was held back a grade. Remi is stupid as hell and rolls over way too quick on the whole recorded them having sex thing. Even if he didn't release it, it was still a creep thing to do. That's a big ole red flag if I've ever seen one. And on top of it, the whole almost rape thing is just kinda thrown in there for the hell of it and severs zero purpose.

Anyway, I couldn't make it through. People seem to enjoy this and either they can ignore the bad writing or just love stories with lackluster characters.

The second book in the duet really goes off the rails with coincidence and more refusal to communicate on the part of Ace. I really wanted Remi to walk away from him at points. I hope he can actually learn to be a partner but I don't have a lot of expectations that he can. His young life molded him into a caretaker and shielding people is part of his behavioral psychology that will take more than I think Remi can do to change that.

This ended the duet for Ace and Remi. Up next is Cole and Hadley. I actually think the author did a good job of giving us some tortured Cole antics and I am interested to see how this turns out.

DNF, Remi makes everything too easy. She acts tough, but she is not.
Remi and Ace are too toxic together. They would never last.

I had the honor of reading an arc of this book. If this is Caitlyn's first two books she has a life long fan out of me!! When i first grabbed Taunt her i didnt know what to expect as i literally grabbed it because the cover was hot lol, and so glad i did as it made me love it so much more. Ace and Remi's story is not an easy one.

Taunt her left with on hell of a ending that made you say nooooooo . Tame him starts right back off where it left Remi's world is turned upside down due to Ace's plan for revenge, Ace is broken after what happened and will do whatever it takes to get Remi's forgiveness. But Remi feels like her heart will never been the same after the one person she gave her everything to betrayed and humiliated her in the worse possible way. Will Ace be able to win her back? Will Remi ever give her heart to someone again? Will they be able to stay away from each other ? well your going to have to read it to find out.

Caitlyn takes you into Ace and Remi's whirl wind of a life, she takes you on a journey that has it all, the love, passion, laughter, secrets hotness.. I loved every second of this duet and cannot wait to read Cole and Cannon's duets bring it on.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

this is the second and last book in ace and remi's story and even though i'm giving it the same rating as their first book, i enjoyed the latter way more than this one. the reason why i tend to like bully romances has to do with the usual grovelling that is present in them, the majority of the times done by the hero. i guess that's also the reason why i've come to dislike almost 90% of those bully romances that i've read, because they miss the mark on the grovelling, which to me, is essential in these stories. and this one wasn't the exception. while ace tried to impose some sort of self-punishment for what he did to remi at the end of book 1, the heroine ended up forgiving him in literally 2 days, and that shit was unacceptable. i don't know about you, but if the heroine doesn't make the guy come crawling back, begging and grovelling like they should, then the story just doesn't work for me. in terms of the 'plotline' of this book, i think all the reveals and plot-twists were pretty forseeable as well, and the ending was incredibly rushed. now, after that epilogue and the glimpse to cole's story i cannot fucking wait to read his books since he was always the most intriguing one of the jagger brothers.

Bully MF romance

Tame Him starts exactly where Taunt Her left off .

Remi comes to in the hospital only remembering bits and pieces of what happens ... When she gets released her mother finally tells her all that happened...

The trust Remi gave to Ace was shattered by one single piece of betrayal. Ace tries everything in his power to regain that trust and tondo whatever he can to be the man he wants to be for Remi !

This book was absolutely amazing the love that Ace has for Remi is so strong it's to the point where this boy will do ANYTHING in his power to protect Remi even if it means hurting her along the way .( Just how far is someone willing to go to get revenge for the ones they love? ) Their story was definitely a hard one with ALOT of trust and struggle . It had secrets with loads of drama and some stalking mixed all into one. This book is worth 5 stars

It will definitely keep you on your toes .

That little cliffy in the end has me DYING for the next book! I cannot wait .

Taming Ace

This story resumes from the explosive cliffhanger placing Remi and bad boy Ace's relationship in uncertainty. Besides the angst-filled unfolding of their love affair, there is a hint of suspense, foreboding from what has yet to be explained. Ace and the twins’ family history is exposed; some secrets uncovered; foes — Michaela, Bexley, confronted. All delivered with an unexpected twist at the end.

I felt this book a little slower moving than the first, and found my interest wandering. Also, there were moments where I really had to suspend disbelief since the dialogue came off at a level that rang unnatural for the age, former experiences; just some bravado that was not sustained within the realm of storyline. However, there was intrigue, a moderate level of steaminess, and the backstories which were engaging. Character development, particularly of supporting characters, was excellent —Remi’s best friend Hadley as well as Ace’s twin brothers, fun-loving Conner and dark, broody Cole. Ace remained appealing, still maintaining his bad boy image, but wanting to improve his life for Remi; Remi, less so. The supporting characters held my interest, as well as enriching and tying the story together. I am particularly interested in the upcoming story, book 3, involving Cole and Hadley. As broken souls, the two are primed to be intense together.

The mystery surrounding the characters' background was suspenseful and once revealed, surprising. I enjoyed this thriller element in storyline.

Overall, a well-written, entertaining read that would appeal to medium burn readers willing to immerse themselves in a new adult, fanciful storyline with some great romantic suspense.

Remi is devastated after the events that transpired in the first part of his duet. Injured both physically and emotionally only she can decide if the love she feels for him is strong enough to overcome everything that has happened.

Ace’s plan for vengeance against Remi may have been successful but she isn’t the only one who is left devastated. He now realizes the consequences of his actions and is determined to win back the heart that he broke so callously.

Their journey is filled with surprises, secrets and steam as two people who start under the worst of circumstances prove that they are a force to be reckoned with when they work with each other rather than against each other.
