Too long
This book was way too long for what it was. Pages and pages of sex and more sex. Lots of opportunity for building on potential story lines but never followed through.
The author focused so much on conveying extreme wealth and luxury that it became too much. I never fell in love with the the heroine or hero. They were both very flat. I actually kept picturing Charmain as a blonde white woman that’s usually the villain in other books.
At 90% the book could of ended; but the author had to have another useless chapter that added nothing to the story. That last 10% could have been used for a great epilogue. This was the first time reading this author, also my last.
One last thing, why does she keep referring to a glass as a cup? Who drinks fine wines and liquor from a cup?

Yeah It's Good!!
This story was just like what a good brandy and a cigar would be,just so good you don't have a choice but to just sit and savor.The writer gives us one sexy ,steamy romance that screams ,I'm strictly for those who believe in 💘 love.I loved that we got a heroine that not only was she wealthy but she was also business savvy and in total command. If you are looking for a sexy grown up read and one that is not only sexy but it is super entertaining.

Wow!
This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it.I liked the fact that this was a strong woman and didn't really need a man to define her. I enjoyed the relationship between the main two characters.

Sensational
I loved this book! I was truly disappointed in his mother! I applauded his father. I didn’t blame J for the decision he mad regarding his mother at all. But I have to say thatJ really took me by surprise. For the type of person that he is and his upbringing! The type of person he is in the bedroom shocked me! I didn’t expect that at all! Now I’m even more curious about Don. Sensational

This book was one of the most satisfying reads I have had in quite a while. For readers who have followed the series since Pensive, this second installment expands the universe of characters in successful fashion while returning recurring characters into the main plot line. While being in the same universe as Pensive, Evasive is also written in a way that readers who have not read the preceding book will be just as satisfied with this book’s impressive standalone value. This book excels in telling a story that feels real and exciting and moves at a realistic pace one would expect to experience in real life. The passion and steam that exudes the relationship of J and Charmain is enough to fog windows. This story shows what happens when two individuals who know exactly what they want, won’t back down and take life by the horns. Business meets pleasure in this fantastic read, and is a book that belongs in every romance reader’s collection.

Cheers to brilliant black women!
Firstly, can we step back and give a round of applause for Charmaine.She’s a talented, brilliant and successful sista! I loved her strength and passion for the things she set foot out to achieve.
Jovanni, I love that name. He was so understanding and not once tried to change Charmaine. He was her partner in every way until he made that tiny gamble with his mother.
Nevertheless, they pulled through as was able to continue their love.
This book was all about grown folks who didn’t find what they needed in other people but found it in each other.
They were both wealthy so it was never a power struggle. (Lol goals)
I must say this is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m certain that I’ll be looking out for more of her work

An Enjoyable Story
I love a book that has its own uniqueness with an interesting h/h. A well developed storyline that flowed with varied characters. A story with blended cultures that grabs your attention. I loved J's protective nature but he knew when to follow and when to lead. Charmaine is an independent, accomplished business woman who is used to being in control all the time. Until she meets J and both find in each what they didn't know they wanted. This book takes you on a journey of two people that fall in love with a few roadblocks along the way. J and Charmaine's story has plenty of family drama, some angst and moments that make you laugh. A sizzling romance that you will enjoy.

Excellent!
This is the first book that I have read from this offer. of course when you're reading a new offer you never know exactly what to expect,; will their writing be good, will the grammar be on point, will the editing leave something to be desired? I am very pleased to say that Ms. Terry has hit all the right note. The characters are well-developed and interesting, the writing is superb I noticed maybe one or two grammatical errors in the story which is stellar. She definitely did the dang thing with this book. I am very excited to have discovered this author and I look forward to reading more from her in the future!

Simply beautiful read
Oh my good somebody hose me down because this book brought me nothing but heat and tingles...Jovanni and Charmaine was definitely a match made in heaven in every sense from business to pleasure. I really enjoyed their dynamic two alphas that completely knows how to submit to one another and chose be straight shooters with completely honesty from the start I loved it. I love that I also got a glimpse into more Asa and Elise because I loved them. Definitely another five star read and I can't wait to wrap this series up with book three

Unsure!
I thought I loved Pensive but baby...Evasive has me in love. I don’t know which one I love more. While Asa was strong and domineering, J is that silent but deadly Alpha. So I am unsure of which book I love more. Excellent read. Very well written. Can’t wait to see what Ms. Terry has in store for us next.

Please tell this is not the last in your artistry? I really wanted to to see Elise pregnant and Asa anxiety. I enjoyed Charmain and J story. His mother needed to understand that her son happiness should have came first, not second. Oh, I enjoyed the proposal. Amazing!

When 2 Bosses Fall in Love
The fact that Charmain had contracts for men she “dated” definitely said a lot. But in a sense her going after J also said a lot which meant something about him made her want to do away with the contract they had with one another. This book was so good and it was refreshing to see 2 bosses be able to find love. Great page turner that kept me reading. I also loved the long length of this book. The story didn’t seem rushed, chapters were long and it explained so much of the 2 of them without being rushed and feeling as if I skipped something. First time reading anything from this author and will be sure to check out more work.

Impressive
This book was different. Books usually do a overview of the business side but this did more than skim the surface on the cigar business. That was interesting. Then add in the fire and chemistry that is Charmain and Jovanni...whew they were hot from start to finish. I enjoyed every part of their story.

The Absolute Bast Read
I Obed loved this book and the characters. It didn’t defemanize the women, make her stupid or doubt her worth and the man was, let’s just say we all need an Jovanni. Wooh child and the steamy extra spicy love scenes. What real mean can accomplish when there is no games.

Pretty good!!
This is a new to me author, but I enjoyed this book!! Loved Charmain!! Jovanni was perfect for her. Although the storyline didn't flow as well as I would have liked it was still a good read.

I’m glad I added this author to my new authors to read list. I loved that we got to learn more about J and read how he fell in love with Charmine. I also was happy to see Asa and Elise again. Great book!

DNF
I got to 9% of this book and threw in the towel. The reason I have gave her 5 stars is because the writing is good and the story seems great, but it just isn't what I'm looking for. I'll search for her other books and give them a try.
