I just wish DD would restructure her Gifted One female mates. Instead of the majority of them being in mid to late 30's. Kayla is 38 I think Seth's wife is 40. What I call the over the Hill Gang. Why not get some young blood in there. Do something exciting and different. Send us another Ami ...more

So they secretly lusted after each other. She is 38 now and figures nothing will come of her crush over a man she thinks is several years younger.
All that changes when her life is in mortal danger and Nick realizes that he is being a coward ...more
Divorcee Kayla Dorman and her daughter live next door to Nick and Oliver. Nick has crushed on her since they moved in and even with Kayla’s daughter away at college he hasn’t made a move. She thinks he is a security guard and hasn’t a clue Immortals, vampires ...more
Nick Belanger has the hots for his next door neighbor, Kayla Dorman. He’d ask her out and hope she says yes, except he’s an Immortal Guardian and his life is all about killing vampires to protect the humans who are unaware of what goes bump in the night. Not only is he something she would find hard to believe, but she has a daughter he doesn’t want to put in danger. Well, he doesn’t want to put either o ...more
It's not a bad book as the writing is as good as always...the story line just feels a little repetitive. Older woman with a kid starting college - I'm just saying Jenna and John - has a crush on the mysterious man in black.
Nick was a nice character - funny at times and cute. But just nice. Yeah, I know it's a death blow to a mans ego - being the nice guy. For me he was missing a certain depth and some hard ed ...more
Dianne never disappoints! I loved this book! What a great way to give us something new but not stray from the formula we all have come to know and love!
It was fun to read about Houston, the city I've called home for over 30 years.
Nick and Kayla's story overlaps the last book so I know there are many more to come!! I can't wait to read the next one!!
Hurry Dianne!!! 😘 ...more
Wow another great book it pulls you in you laugh you cry because it makes you feel as if you know these people like they could live next door. A must read for anyone who loves paranormal great books. Dianne is a writer that makes the book hard to put down ! Can't wait for more an can't wait for Eliana and Cliffs story. This series a must read you won't regret it this author my favorite she can write really awsome!!
Sorry to say this book just didn’t work for me on so many levels. The biggest of which is insta love which I hate.
Living next door to someone for six years doesn’t automatically mean you know them even if you visually see them everyday. The fact that he had to ask what she liked on her pizza (even though he creepily knew from over hearing conversations) suggest they were little more than acquai ...more
I was nervous going into this book because it is the first one that isn't set in North Carolina and the group of immortal guardians there. But this book was fantastic. Nick is an immortal guardian in Texas. He has loved his neighbor for ...more
This is a nice addition to the Immortal Guardian series. A book by this author is never a disappointment except they always end and I never want them to end! This has the blush of new romance between Nick and his neighbor even though they have lived next to each other for 6 years. It has the excitement of hunting vampires but it’s main angst is an old man who wants the secret of youth he believes Nick can provide. Fighting and near death experiences aside, it is a most ...more
Well this book was truly a struggle to get through. So disappointing. I am a huge fan of this series and this was the worst. There was nothing great or fantastic about this book at all. Nick and Kayla were just MEH.. Didn't really care to much about either one of them. I think that was probably due to the sex sex and sex, the thoughts of sex and some more sex. Then there is more sex.
I am not a prude by no means I like sex in my stories. However ...more
I'm already a big fan of Dianne Duvall's books and have read all of them. Although Broken Dawn is book 10 in her Immortal Guardians series, it felt like a new beginning. I was drawn into this story and remained hooked throughout.
I love Dianne's writing style, the language she uses and the way she paces her plots. There's always a natural balance throughout the story between the mystery, fighting and violent scenes and the humorous, romantic and passionate ...more
Long time fans know the North Carolina Immortal guardian crew well, but this time it's off to Texas. To meet Nick, he was an unnamed guardian in a previous book.
I really like his character. His shyness about sharing his gift with Kayla is sweet.
Fun story, fast read. Loved seeing so many characters from previous books, appear in this one. ...more
If you've never read this series, this could be read on its own. It explains enough about the world and the characters without feeling you're missing too much. It definitely get you wanting more, weather it's starting the series with the first book or rereading from the beginning, ready and waiting for the next one! ...more
Sighs...it was absolutely wonderful, loved both characters. So sweet in how she reacted when he fully told her everything, hilarious in some parts as well. Loved it, just wish there was more after they’ve become an official couple. Would have liked to see that.
What a whirlwind of conflict and fundamental love!
Dianne Duvall does it again with her 10th book in the Immortal Guardians series. The many heartfelt moments sent my emotions in hyperdrive: laughing one moment, crying the next. The bantering and teasing fit perfectly throughout the storyline, I mean what more would you want out of a paranormal romance than this setting right here?
The zealous connection between Nick and Kayla had me hooked from the moment the st ...more
This couple are just adorable. Neither knowing that the other cares for the other. It's like a schooltime crush. Lol. Nick is such a sweetheart. He waits and hopes from afar . And Kayla is like most women. Unsure of her own beauty because of her past. I love that she's ordinary and has a daughter. No killer body, no killer looks , just simple bust very beautiful to him. You always do such a great job on your characters miss Dianne Duvall. Looking forward to your next stor ...more

YES. This was what she wanted, what she needed. It had been soooooo long since any man had touched her. And Nick wasn’t just any man. He was the one who frequented all of her illicit sexual fantasies.
She moaned a protest when his lips left hers and trailed kisses across her cheek to her ear. His warm breath sent more sensual shivers through her before he raised his head and stared down at her.”
Frowning, wanting those lips on hers again, she hugged him back. “Nick?”
“You scared the hell out of me today,” he murmured, his deep voice hoarse.
Her heart turned over. He would only have such a reaction if he cared about her. How had she not realized that before? “I’m sorry.”
He shook his head. “Just let me hold you a minute.”
Smiling, she snuggled against him.”
