Erin Bazzara is living life to the fullest as a single woman in New Orleans and making a name for herself as one of the top psychologists in the state of Louisiana. Years ago, she swore off men after receiving devastating news, news that proved her fiancé didn’t care about the rule “in sickness and in health.” It also proved he didn’t really care about her.
Good riddance, who needs a man anyway? Not her. Not ever again.
Or so she thought, until she literally runs into a certain world-renowned chef who looks at her like she might be his next four-course meal.

Chef Curtis Rockwell, host of the award-winning Chef To Go, never knows who the next participant on his show will be. State to state, city to city, he scours grocery store aisles each episode, looking for the perfect stranger to go home with so he can teach them how to cook a gourmet meal. It’s always been just a part of his job, a job he loves but still a job…
Then he spots her. The perfect participant. The perfect woman. A woman not even his dreams could have conjured up.
Now, all he has to do is prove the heat between them won’t just sizzle out like yesterday’s flambé.

Note: An ARC was provided generously in exchange for an honest review.

GOd this novel! This novel made my whole damn week, and I couldn't stop smiling afterwards.

Damn, I miss Curtis and Erin so much already..

Anyway, let me tell you why I found this novel, the most amazing thing ever after chocolate.

1. The writing - pretty fast paced, and so smooth, I loved every minute of it. Thoroughly invested, and never even bored for once. No grammar problems, totally a smooth ride.

2. The characters - Loved being able to relate to the characters - Erin was a psychologist and she loved helping others (also had her own reasons why for helping them) and I so could relate to it, for one thing - I always wanted to be a psychologist, to be able to bring someone a smile on their face, and help them through their problems, and I could even connect with her insecurities too, sigh..insecurities are a thing that stick with you, no matter the age. But I loved her. Curtis was a perfect book boyfriend honestly, such a caring, charming sweetheart, god I so wished he was real, and like my age, I'd have loved hanging around him. Plus the way he understood her problems and helped break down her walls - fucking beautiful, it was. Sigh..

Totally love these two. Moving along..

3. The chemistry and the sweet scenes - The chemistry, damn it was scorching, I swear I thought my kindle was burning (thank god it wasn't), it was so darn good and steamy..mmm, loved it all.

And the sweet scenes - he was just so frickin wonderful, and she was such a total cutie. Goddamn, my heart feels so good.

They were so bloody done right, no one dimensional bullcrap, y'all. It was all perfection.

I loved it all. And I am so excited to try the rest of the author's books in the future.

Until the next room,

TMR

If you asked me what's the best recipe to write a perfect Rom Com, then I would strongly suggest you to ask K.D. Robichaux to give you a cooking lesson because boy did she knock this one out of the park. I've devoured this amazing book like a four-course gourmet meal. The storyline was very unique and entertaining, the dialogue funny and witty and the lead characters multi-layered, intriguing and endearing people you would love to be best friends with in real life. I absolutely adored the beautiful and colorful setting (New Orleans) and all the facts and information about this fascinating city so rich in history and culture. K.D. Robichaux made me want to pack up my suitcase and take the next plane to NOLA. She did a tremendous job in making me feel like I'm right there with the characters on a haunted tour in the French Quarter, eating beignets at Café du Monde and bar hopping through Bourbon Street.

Erin Bazzara swore off men after her fiancé left her without a backward glance. And that on top of receiving some devastating and heartbreaking news. Now she's enjoying her life as a single in New Orleans and working as a top psychologists. Erin is a true workaholic who has neither the time nor the inclination for a romantic relationship, something not everyone can understand. Until she meets a world-renowned chef, who has more in common with her than she could have ever anticipated. Curtis Rockwell goes from city to city scoring grocery store aisles in order to find a stranger to go home with so he can teach them how to cook a meal. His show Chef to Go is very well-known and popular. He has worked hard for his success. When he spots Erin, the perfect candidate for the next episode, he doesn't expect to find in her the embodiment of everything he has ever dreamed of in a woman. Now he only needs to convince her to give them a chance ...

Erin is a truly wonderful and relatable heroine. She is playful, spirited, brilliant and a nerd. An alluring combination Curtis wasn't able to resist. They have such a sizzling sexual chemistry from the start which very soon turns into a bone deep connection and mutual understanding. Curtis is very charming and also extremely observant. He instinctively knew that Erin has built thick walls around her heart that he needed to tear down brick by brick. I loved that he was understanding and patient with her. He is a protective, caring and romantic hero who will set your panties on fire and make you swoon hard. Mark my words!

I've thoroughly enjoyed Dishing Up Love and recommend it from the bottom of my heart! Make sure to one-click this must read and let K. D. Robichaux take you on an unforgettable joyride through New Orleans. Thank you Kayla for writing one of my top favorite reads of 2020! I'm giving this gem 5 well deserved gourmet stars.

Curtis is a famous chef who hosts a cooking show on the road with a new participant for every city.
He meets Erin, a psychologist, in New Orleans and they feel phisical attraction at first sight. While Chef Curtis teaches Erin to cook something easy for a single person with a lot of work to do and a very little time to eat healtly they easily find a nice companionship and a good connection.
Will they give themselves some time to figure out what is going on between them? Or will they drift apart because they have too much different lifestyles?

“What’s the point of living in a party place like New Orleans if you’re not going to party?”

I’ve never heard of this author before but as soon as I’ve discovered this story was set in New Orleans I had to go and start to read it.
K.D. Robichaux describes so well the atmosphere and true heart of New Orleans that I’m even more curious to get to visit it now, she also dwells on telling some of this city’s scary stories.

Dishing Up Love is a good rom com and most of the book is filled with funny scenes but there is also a minor drama in the life of the heroine who someone could find triggering.

This was as cute as it’s cover! This was my first book from Robichaux and I would read from her again. I loved the whole aspect of their meet-cute. Meeting at the grocery store and her being a guest/contestant on his show? Adorable!

Curtis and Erin were cute together and had some awesome chemistry. They fell into an easy relationship and the banter between them was hilarious and flirty.

While I did enjoy the romance and characters, I couldn’t give it more than 3 stars because I couldn’t stay fully engaged in the book. This took place in New Orleans and we were given quite a bit of history about the city. While I thought that was cool, it kept taking me out of the story. I wanted to focus on Curtis and Erin and their forming relationship, but I kept having to focus on the lore and history of the city. Now don’t get my wrong, there isn’t anything wrong with the author putting that in her book. I’m just saying that it caused a disconnect for me personally.

All in all, I liked this one and thought the romance was done well. While I didn’t love it, I would read more by this author.

Loved!

I used to love watching Take Home Chef so when I read the blurb on this, I knew I had to read it. What a whirlwind romance! I went from laughing to crying to swooning and back again. And that epilogue was just EVERYTHING. Highly recommend!

I loved how it started! Their meet cute is just swoon worthy and thrills the foodie and FoodNetwork fan in me. BUT I have to say that after they cook together, I began to lose interest in the story.

I’m not so sure why. *shrugs*

It sort of dragged in places (like when they went on the ghost tour). And went on fast forward in others when I would’ve wanted more depth.

Erin also began to annoy me. And more importantly, Curtis just felt like he was so obviously written by a woman — some of his thoughts and responses seem like they’d be what a woman would do, not a man. Just didn’t ring true (for me!) for an alpha hero. He was more like a beta male — which is not my thing.

***ARC Provided by the Author***

Parts of this story I really loved. I loved the connection between Erin and Curtis. The parts of this book that were centered on that initial attraction were really hot, and sexy. The cooking scene in her house was perfection and I was looking forward to watching their relationship and their attraction develop. Little did I know the bulk of the rest of the book was going to happen in one really long night.

Which brings us to the parts of this one that didn't work for me. All of the initial relationship, all of the build up to them being forever, happens in one night. And, it's instant attraction but it also takes up the first almost half of the book, so it also feels like it goes on...forever. Including some really fun NOLA history that, honestly, feels a little out of place in a romance and greatly slows the pacing of the title.

Then you get to the meat of their relationship, to the things that they need to explore...and it's glossed over. I did ultimately believe in their relationship...but more because I was told about it than because I was allowed to experience it.

The writing style itself was strong, and I did find myself engaged with the characters...but it also left me wanting more of the characters and less of NOLA, which means I am not really able to recommend this title.

Triggers for infertility, surprise pregnancy. (There is a believable medical explanation for the pregnancy.) Also includes adoption and quite a bit of nausea from morning sickness so maybe don’t read if if you’re not feeling well. This book had nothing bad happen in it. They work through their struggles together, love on each other, and have an adorable meet cute. Great, feel good, read.

Dishing Up Love was exactly what my heart and mind needed at the moment. A light, sweet, sexy and highly entertaining story about a hot, famous chef Curtis Rockwell and a sassy, nerdy psychologist Erin Bazzara. To say that I loved this book would be a total understatement. I devoured it like the perfect dessert, leaving me desperately wishing for more of this yumminess. Kudos to K.D. Robichaux for writing such a brilliant story and portraying New Orleans and it's history so beautifully and charming, it made me want to jump on a plane to Nola asap. But what made this story so special to me was not only the scenery, but especially the two amazing and incredibly loveable main characters!

Curtis runs into Erin in a grocery story while looking for a participant for his award winning TV show "Chef To Go". After she agrees to take him and his crew home, in order to teach her how to make a gourmet meal, things get super hot inside and outside the kitchen. Curtis and Erin don't only have great chemistry but also many things in common, making them literally perfect for each other. But past, bad experiences have shaped Erin into a woman with huge walls around her heart. While helping others and talking about their issues comes easily to her, she prefers to not talk about her own. But Curtis is determined to do everything in his power to make the walls around this beauty's heart crumble and show her that he's worth the risk. After all, she's the one for him and he's never letting her go.

Gosh how much I loved these two! They were a match made in heaven! While Erin was a sweet, funny and super smart heroine that I adored, Curtis was a charming, sexy and protective hero who made my heart melt like ice-cream. I loved their sizzling chemistry and deep connection. They understood each other like nobody else!

I honestly have only words of praise for Dishing Up Love, because books like this one are exactly the reason I love reading! If you're looking for a well written rom com with endearing characters that will make you equally laugh and swoon, then make sure to one-click this beauty. I'm giving it 5 well deserved stars and putting it on my top favorite reads of 2020 shelf.

This book was such a pleasant surprise! I can’t believe how I stumbled on it, and literally jumped my reading queue just because I loved the cover. Someone who read the ARC had left an exceptional review, and it just jumped at me.
And boy, am I glad that I followed my heart.
Ok now to my reading experience.
The book for me started a bit slow, and while I’ve always liked reading, and watching shows about NOLA(Shows like the original was set in New Orleans), I was a bit hit by the tourist information dump in the first quarter of the book . However as the story unfolded, I began to appreciate all the tid-bits of NOLA history the author, who clearly loves New Orleans - NOLA decided to share.
Up until the book got to the 40% mark, I had said I couldn’t give it more than 3stars, especially considering how the book boy knew exactly what he wanted from the get go and the main characters quickly came to terms with their shared connection and affection for each other. While this initially felt somewhat unrealistic, I realised once you cross the 30’s mark, and you’re mature and self aware, you tend to let go of childishly masking emotions and trying to suppress your feelings when you meet someone you connect with. And from this point on, it became unputdownable. Read the first 40% in a couple of days and the last 60% a couple of hours. Yeah! That good.
I absolutely loved the book boy Curtis. He was sweet, assertive, super considerate and almost too good to be true. He was the embodiment of a man who knew what he wanted and was ready for love. His character was exceptional.
The book girl Erin was remarkable too but not as impressionable as Curtis. Curtis was really in tune with his feelings yet in no way selfish. He was the embodiment of love.
I’m not one to like romance novels with heavy or a lot or sex scenes because it waters down the story badly for me. Again here the author made sure to tell a good story, and the one time the sexual activities of the couple was graphic and detailed it still was tasteful and didn’t take away from the beautiful storyline.

This book really tugged at my heartstrings, and reminded me even though this is just fiction that love, and an exceptional partner is possible. It’s my first book of 2021, and woo! What a remarkable way to open up my reading year.

If romance is your thing, I recommend, a 1000 percent.

Dishing Up Love by K.D. Robichaux is the story of Curtis and Erin.
Curtis is this famous chef who hosts this hot and fun traveling cooking show. He meets Erin at a local grocery store in New Orleans where she is shopping for her dinner after she's had a rough day at work. Erin is a clinical psychologist and she's completely busy taking care of her clients and also her friends to see to herself. This is how Chef Curtis is able to come into her life suddenly and OMG...the chemistry is sizzling and so hot. Curtis just has this raw reaction to Erin. It's insta-love for him while Erin is afraid to give into that instant chemistry/love feeling. The feels, sweet romance, magic of New Orleans, the emotions are what make this a phenomenal read. Reading how they opened up to each other, fell in love and gave the readers a good time on top of the sizzle. Great story!!

My Rating: 4.8 stars **********

5 Stars!

I was introduced to K.D. Robichaux when she wrote Scary Hot in ARR's Until world and I was crazy impressed with her writing. Well she's got a brand new book out and oh my goodness y'all! I loved it and these characters so very much!

Erin and Curtis- addicting, real, that first date 😍 and the chemistry they share, from the first moment they meet- shew, wait until you feel all that heat and pull between them. 🔥

This one- an absolute MUST read y'all!

I highly recommend this book.

Dishing Up Love is an insta love story between Celebrity Chef Curtis Rockwell and psychologist Erin Bazzara. While looking for a contestant for his TV show in New Orleans, Curtis literally runs into Erin in the frozen pizza aisle. Once they make eye contact, hearts start flying.

In less than 24 hours, the couple share circumstances that make you really feel for them both. One cannot help but applaud Erin for her courage and out look in life as well as swoon for Curtis and the way he handles their budding relationship.

I really enjoyed how the book incorporated New Orleans history. I am not going to lie, I looked up the stories mentioned to get more information because I thought they were so interesting. I did feel like the ending was rushed a little bit when it could have been more detailed and information not just thrown at us to conclude the book.

This is a super cute ROM COM Romance. This is a little bit of a follow on to No Trespassing. Both books are completely separate, you don't need to read one without reading the other.

In this book we have Erin Bazzara, who is a psychologists. She has her own practice in New Orleans. She's always lived there, and loves her city. She's more of a homebody - likes to do what she likes. She goes out with her girlfriends but not a lot. She has had a recent heartbreak, and is not ready to put herself out there much.

We also have Chef Curtis Rockwell, host of the award-winning Chef To Go, who is a celebrity chef, who travels the country for his TV Show.  He does a tv show, where he finds someone in the supermarket and goes home with a person to cook in their home. He see's Erin down one of the frozen food isle and goes up to her. Even though she's in  her frumpy clothes she still agree's, and they go home.

Curtis & Erin both realize that they have more in common when they are walking about to her house from the grocery store. When they are cooking together, they have the same film comments, and start cracking up at each other's jokes.

After they finish filming the show at her house, they go out into the French Quarter together so Curtis can show him around to see the sights from a local's perspective.

Even though they live in different cities, will Curtis & Erin be able to have a long distance relationship and make it something?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book from the author. I am freely leaving an honest review.

This book was absolutely amazing! I have to admit to a brief girlie squealing moment when I realized who the book was about! (I'm not sharing, you will just have to read it to make the connection!) But afterwards, I tucked into the book, and got to reading. I'm so glad I did! This couple is so sweet, absolutely perfect for each other, and it is set in the most amazing city ever!

Erin is a psychologist, and gets to help people through her job. And she loves that. But life isn't perfect, and she learns that the hard way. So, she decides to live life on her terms, that she doesn't need anyone else to make her life the best it can be. Until she literally bumps into a man that leaves her head spinning! As they say in the big easy, Let the good times roll!

Curtis is a chef, who loves what he does! And he now gets to share that love with viewers everywhere, with his TV show. Surprising viewers, helping them learn that "Cook" doesn't have to be a 4 letter word! He lives his life the way he wants to, gets to travel, and meet new people. Life couldn't be better! Until a certain girl catches his eye, and everything changes!

I adored Erin and Curtis's story! I have to admit to laughing throughout their story, but there were a few tears too. This is a story that will capture your heart, leave you with a smile on your face, and show you that even in the most dire of circumstances, there is still hope! It's a beautiful, fun, quirky story that is sure to become a favorite of mine!

Ah, KD Robichaux did it again. A perfect story written in the perfect place. Returning to NOLA, where we're first introduced to Erin in No Tresspassing, is a breath of fresh air. This book is unique with the way the story is told. There is some LOL moments, lots of history about New Orleans, and of course romance. It's a perfect mix. And someone needs to tell the U.K. to update their surgical panties, because all we get is passion killer paper knickers. Please god, we need the surgical panties that Erin had. Lol!

Oh my goodness, this book was filled with so many aww moments. I felt myself sighing throughout the entire story. I absolutely feel in love with Erin and Curtis and now know I MUST go read Emmy and Dean’s story.

Erin is living her life in New Orleans. She misses her best friend Emmy but is so happy for her and Dean. She goes to work and does what she loves, helps other people. She just happens to be in the right time and the right place for fate to step in and take her carefully constructed life and throw it upside down. I loved Erin and understood some of her struggles. She is a character that I feel a lot of women will be able to relate to. We may not all experience exactly what she has but the feelings that come from that can be shared by a lot of people.

Curtis, I loved him form the very beginning. There wasn’t a moment that I took away from everything that Curtis was. He was genuine, kind, sweet, adorable, he definitely had some alpha tendencies too. He couldn’t have been more perfect for Erin.

I really feel in love with this story and these characters. This is a must read from me!

I knew when she dedicated the book to the ever sexy Curtis Stone, I was going to LOVE this book! I adored this sweet and spicy new story from one of my faves, KD Robichaux!

Curtis hosts a super fun cooking show that finds people in the supermarket and let's them take the "chef to go"! He heads home with the unsuspecting shoppers and teaches them to cook. (All I can say is "pick me, pick me!) What Curtis didn't expect to take home from the grocery store is the woman of his dreams.

Erin, aka hot mess express, is a New Orleans loving psychologist whose very last thought was encountering the world's sexiest chef while wearing sweats with no bra but destiny doesn't make an appointment. With an instant connection, these two are cooking up a lot more than dinner!

Loved everything about this book! Funny, incredibly relatable, surprisingly poignant and ridiculously sexy, it has all you could ask for! Also loved seeing Dean and Emmy from No Trespassing! I just didn't want it to end!

Erin Bazzara is a woman who hasn't gotten past getting her heart broken so she's sworn off men. She's been making a name for herself as a top psychologist, and while she goes out with her friends from time to time, it's not a lot. World-renowned Chef Curtis Rockwell hosts his own show, Chef to Go, which keeps him going from city to city as he finds his participants when he gets to each new place. When he comes to Erin's city, she's the one he picks so they start spending some time together so he can teach her how to cook gourmet meals, but they have some serious chemistry going on, so he definitely is leaning towards more with her. Will Erin put that heartbreak in the past where it belongs in order for a great future?! Hit those one click buttons to find out, and trust me, you really want to experience this fun story! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Erin and Curtis’s story. Erin gave up on men and love a long time ago when her fiancé let her down. Now she is a single woman working and making a life or herself. Curtis is making his way across the states trying to teach people how to cook. He has been looking for the perfect participant and he finds her as soon as he lays eyes on Erin. But can he convince her to give him a chance after the past she had with a man? Or will she keep pushing him away until he finally gets the hint. The banter back and forth will keep you laughing. This couple will pull you in and keep you turning the pages.

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Well this book clearly not for those looking read angst, asshole and doormat Heroine..

This is a cute, simple, sweet romance. When you are craving something simple no lighten the soul of yours..dig in. It is completely wort it.. Also i am History nerd, I am sucker for all the Historical places and their charm..
I love to read when a swoon worthy Alpha go all over caveman, chasing Heroine, and Don't have "Dark Past" which will give the right to do all shitty and unacceptable things. Who don't have all "tutored past", Heroine save him form Hell... etc

OH. EM. GOODNESS. Y’all this was such a wonderful book! My favorite KD book is No Trespassing, and I was so dang excited to see that Erin was finally getting her story!
I loved that it had that instalove vibe, but what I really enjoyed was getting to watch Erin & Curtis open up and learn about each other. Erin is so stubborn and I just loved watching her reactions to this over the top, adorable man.
I also absolutely loved how KD set the scene for NOLA. I’ve never been, but I felt like I was drawn into the scenes with them! And the history she gave us!! It was so interesting.

I absolutely LOVED this book!

Dishing Up Love by K.D. Robichaux is the story of Curtis Rockwell and Erin Bazzara.
Curtis is a famous Chef with a TV shows that travel around finding his next person for an episode in the Grocery isle. Curtis sees Erin who he wants for his show but more importantly he feels a connection with her. Erin is a home body who has been burned by a past relationship so she is just focusing on her career and her friends. But even she feels something towards Curtis. This was a fun hot read. Enjoyed this book and will be looking for more from this author.
