Great British Bake Off winner and Comfort author Candice Brownshares the essential recipes that see her through life as she lives with anxiety and depression.
Make your kitchen your happy place
Cooking has always been about more than the finished dish for Candice Brown. It's about the whole process and what that process can do for your mind, as well as your tummy. Happy Cooking, her second book, is packed with simple and delicious recipes to bring a little warmth back into those grey days when it all feels a bit too much. Here you'll find your favorite bakes to bring a smile to your face, quick pick-me-ups for the busy weekdays, therapeutic recipes to keep your hands busy, and hearty dishes that take care of themselves as well as you. These are recipes to live for, to get out of bed for, to eat under the duvet, and to share with the ones you love. Includes metric measures.
This was a fun read. I didn’t realize it was written by a British author so I think that was what made it an interesting read. Lots of interesting terms for ingredients. Several recipes that I’d like to try or save for later
I received this cookbook as a gift and what a lovely gift indeed! The memories around the bakes, the instructions, gorgeous photos and illustrations all make this a beautiful cookbook. The bakes are approachable and fun. As someone who loves to bake my stress away, Happy Cooking really resonated with me.
Unfortunately this cookbook lacked pictures and only had pictures for every 3 recipes and I wouldn’t qualify meals easy and uplifting when there’s 10 ingredients and only measurements offered in grams
