The action picks up right where book #16 left off. Blade and his warriors are having to trek back on foot from Florida after taking out a gang of drug dealers in Miami. They come across a little girl whose family have been killed by the powers that be in Atlanta. That city is under totalitarian law with euthanasia practiced on those over sixty-six.
This was a non-stop action outing. The one and only problem was the end. We had some warriors join up with rebels to enter Atlanta to take over. The warriors were there to find Blade who was captured by the storm police. When it looks like a big battle was going to take place, it just fizzled out and was over.
A pulp series that I read through junior high and high school. Even then, I knew it was a formulaic series, but it was fun to read and having found them recently in a box from my parents' house, I am thinking of reading them again.
