Officer Quinten Blackthorne is undercover with the Russian mob when he discovers they're using the art gallery of Becca O'Malley (his best friend's little sister) to smuggle drugs -- and that Becca's life is now in danger because she's discovered their scheme. Quint steps in to save her, and they end up married, on the run, and falling in love.

The Right to Remain Silent is a really great novel. I wasn't crazy about the part in the story where Quint tries to leave Becca "for her own good." I thin

When Summers is firing on all cylinders, she writes fabulous Dom/sub BDSM romances. And the middle part of The Right to Remain Silent is a BDSM cabin romance, with the hero and heroine on the run and exploring each other’s sexual interests while in hideout. Unfortunately, the setup to get them into the situation in the first part of this book is a real drawback.

The concept is that Quinten and Becca are forced to marry by a mob boss after she inadvertently stumbles on evidence that her art galle
This is the third in a series. While characters from Lone Survivor briefly appear, this can be read as a stand-alone

For purely personal reasons, this was not my favorite of Ms. Summers's stories. One thing I like about her work is the relative realism of her world-building; here, elements were too contrived. The story begins with Becca in the crosshairs of a drug lord she has unknowingly been doing business with; to save her, undercover cop Quentin must marry her. The rest of the plot details th

The Right To Remain Silent by Anya Summers is an amazing story to read. This is book number three in this amazing series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read more from this amazing author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about erotic and contemporary romances.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Right to Remain Silent is the third book in the Crescent City Kings series, but could be read as a stand alone. Becca has trusted the wrong person and now her life is in danger. Luckily her brother’s best friend comes to her rescue, but while they can’t help their attraction, the danger is closing in on them. Do Becca and Quinten have a future together, or is their connection just fueled by their circumstances?

Wow! What a book! I was hooked right from the very beginning and Becca and Quinten

I very much enjoyed!

by Sus99

This book had all the threads that make a fun read. A little fear, a lot of sex and love, and a happily ever after. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, was it was a little predictable, but with the craziness of the world now, I think I needed that.

I have read a lot of Anya Summers books and this was one of the best. A bohemian minded artist and an alpha law officer who happens to be her brother's best friend, who happens to be part owner of a bdsm club who can't

So this was a free ARC copy from one of my favorite authors to read for & booksprout for my voluntary honest review & I so enjoyed every page of this story! I thought it was a fantastic read & well-written that the words just seemed to so smoothly flow right off the page into my brain! It has a great storyline & very strong chemistry between the main characters , plus hot sexy scenes to boot! The third story is another intense page-turner---but then again—all of Ms. Anya Summer books are. Each story in this series will read well as a stand-alone. I will admit this story is an emotional roller coaster ride with the various characters, the good the bad and the off-limits. Throw in an undercover officer, the mob, and your best friend’s sister---what could go wrong!

This will not be my typical review—I’ve had to rely on the robotic voice on my Kindle to read to me as

A forced marriage to save her leads to real feelings and then a whole lot of problems

The Right to Remain Silent is the third book in the Crescent City Kings series and is the story of Becca O'Malley and Quinten Blackthorne. Becca gets involved in something that is dangerous and ends up in a forced marriage. Luckily, maybe, for her Quinten was the one who offered to marry her. Lucky her because he is sexy as heck and also because he is working undercover and will make sure she survives and is saf

Becca, artist and gallery owner, is betrayed by her employee, who used the gallery to launder drugs and money. Becca is now a "guest" of the mob boss. Quentin is a NOLA detective, undercover and pretending to be a dirty cop. Becca is his best friend's sister - off limits. This book sucked me in at the very first page, and kept moving right along. Quentin is a great guy, and his experience as a Dom pegs Becca immediately as a sub. He's a frustrating character - the guilt he harbors over his broth ...more

Running from love 4 stars - This book is full of action right from the very beginning. Becca and Quinten were forced to marry by a mob boss. While they were able to leave the mob boss’ unscathed, anything after that involved narrow escapes, danger, uncertainty and tempers flaring. Trying to stay alive and clearing their names from a murder became their focus but their attraction for each other couldn’t be denied. Becca’s honesty in her desire to learn if she is submissive broke Quinten’s resolve ...more

Quinton claims Becca as his!
by sewsummore

Quinton was working undercover when he is forced to claim his mate's little sister Becca as his fiancee. She had discovered that the mob boss he was working for was using her Art Gallery as a front to import drugs and now has he has her. Claiming she was his was the only thing he could think of that would keep her safe and save her life. When a mole in the police department exposes Quinton, there is nothing he can do but run and hide with Becca at his sid

I think this makes it official; I’m in love with this series. The only thing I might love more than a military hero is a first responder, so Officer Quinten Blackthorne of the NOPD was like catnip to me. I’m not sure what it was about Becca that called to me, but she did. Whether it was her need to find herself, to prove herself, or if was just that streak of fierce independence, I found it very easy to connect with Becca. Though, there were a couple of moments of “too stupid to live” that made ...more

Once again, in The Right to Remain Silent, Anya Summers spins a tale like few other authors can do. This well written storyline is captivating as Quinten and Becca run for their lives taking twists and turns with surprises around every corner. I loved that Becca is strong and independent yet naive to the world she finds herself immersed into. Quinten, on the other hand, is well aware of the risks and dangers he lives with daily. However, when these characters become entangled all bets are off as ...more

The Right to Remain Silent is book 3 in the Crescent City Kings Series by Anya Summer grabbed me at the first page. And who doesn't love a book set in New Orleans? I am definitely going to read the previous books in this series. Becca is shocked when betrayal by her employee Sasha finds her in the home of New Orleans Mob leader Anton Rudnikov. She had no idea Sasha was smuggling drugs through her art gallery. Quinten is a detective working undercover in Nola to expose the Rudnikov Mob. When he f ...more
This third book in the Crescent City Kings Series by Anya Summers was definitely one hot and erotic thriller with loads and loads of BDSM sex between Becca and Quinten, despite the fact they are trying to hide in order to stay alive and one step ahead of the Russian mafia while at the same time bringing those same criminals to justice. Did I mention hot erotic BDSM sex? Oh yeah, there was plenty of X-rated action happening as the main couple tries to figure out exactly what type of relationship ...more

Steamy and suspenseful read that will have you wondering the final outcome
This is my 9th book by Anya as I love the steamy interactions and suspense between the characters Quinten and Becca. Quinten is an undercover cop trying to take down the Rudnikov mob when he comes upon Becca in the mob boss’ office. Quinten’s pretense that Becca is his fiancée has unforeseen consequences for them. With a mole in the police force, Quinten and Becca barely escape with their lives. While Quinten works to disc

Our hero is undercover trying to break a case when he unexpectedly finds his best friend's sister caught in the middle. Next thing he knows, they are forced to marry at gunpoint and things get interesting from there.

This is book three in the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required to understand this book.

This is a romantic suspense story with several little twists to it. I found the story to be well written and easy to read, with a intriguing plot that is a little

Quentin is an undercover cop trying to bring down the Louisiana mafia box Rudnikov and a mole in his police department. Becca is an artist and the sister of Quinten’s best friend. This book starts out at top speed and keeps moving right along. Becca stumbles upon her assistant using her art gallery to bring in drugs. She is forced to go to the head of the outfit that evening and discovers her brother's best friend Quentin is an undercover cop. They end up having to marry one another and then they go on the run. Add in that Quentin is a dom and Becca thinks she is submissive and we have an explosive story. Even though this is book three of the series, they are loosely conn ...more

This is a another page turner for Anya Summers. The story is fast paced with plenty of suspense. Quinten and Becca are on the run from the Russian mob and don't know who to trust. That being said, there were only a few miscues. For example, Becca is an intelligent woman and never waivers when it comes to being strong when she is needed to be. However, after all the steps Quinten took for them to be off the grid getting rid of credit cards, his car, cell phones and then Becca has a TSTL moment. I ...more

Having a crush on a policeman is no problem, but when Becca finds him working together with a mob boss her feelings crash. So why is he telling that they are engaged to safe her from being killed?
A story of deep loyalty, but also of the long process of building trust. As with all of her books the lifestyle of BDSM plays a big role and the protective instincts of Dom Quinten rise to the forefront to protect his best friend's baby sister. Getting married had not been his first choice, but as they

I love Anya Summer's books and have enjoyed Crescent City Kings series. Quinten and Becca's story however was my least favorite of the bunch. For a undercover cop, a Dom, and co-owner of Club Underworld, he seems pretty indecisive. His back and forth, his hot and cold quite frankly gave me whiplash. He was a disappointment for me. Becca, on the other hand, I really liked. Thrown into a situation with a drug mob and having to go on the run with Mr. Should I or Shouldn't I, she handled things bett ...more

This is the third book in this wonderful series that is both dark and gritty and inspiring at the same time I have loved every one of them and if you haven't read the previous two do yourself a favour and grab them

Love this story. Page turning and very entertaining. The characters are fantastic and I love the story line. Quinten is undercover but surprise, he sees his best friends baby sister right in the middle of a power keg. To keep his cover he tells the Rudnikov Mob Boss that she's his fiancee. Who knew that they would have to marry at gun point to prove their loyalty. The relationship between Becca and Quinten was off the charts.. This is my first Anya Summers book. Becca finds herself involved with a crime boss. Her brothers best friend is working undercover to take down said crime boss. To protect her, Quinten, the H, claims she is his fiancé and new nothing of his involvement with the mob. Of course to prove this they are forced to marry in front of the boss.
I found the plot lacking substance. I wanted more. Everything that happened was just leading the characters to a private safe house where they could explore the h

A good romantic thriller.

Becca wants to learn how to be a submissive. After a mob boss forces her to marry her friend Quinten, who us an undercover cop spying on the mob. Later, they are on the run for their lives. Becca is an artist with her own gallery. She is stubborn and determined. Quinten wants to protect her. There is action and steamy scenes. There were two things I did not like. Becca did something very, very stupid while they were in hiding . Anyone with half a brain would have known b

I'm honestly not quite sure about this book. At times I got so frustrated with it that I had to put it down and read something else. I absolutely love Anya Summer's books, so I'm not exactly sure why this one didn't appeal to me as well as the others. I think the writing is done very well, but there are some parts that I feel were left with no resolution in my mind. I think most people might enjoy this story due to the BDSM, suspense, and very steamy scenes that take place.
